Shiki almost couldn't believe what happened to him in one day. Not only did he find this great A.I. named Eden created by his grandfather, but he already got into some trouble when he went to Duel Links for the first time. He also had to pull out quickly so he doesn't get into much trouble.
"So, you're saying that since the duel disk you're in wasn't made by the people that run Duel Links, they didn't recognize the system and thought we were some of threat or problem?" Shiki questioned as he was discussing with Eden at school.
"That's about right." Eden said as she remained in the duel disk. "I'm terribly sorry for the trouble, Shiki. It was my fault that it happened."
"It's not your fault, but does that mean we can't go back?" Shiki questioned.
"No worries. I've modified the duel disk's programming and algorithm so that something like that doesn't happen again." Eden said. "You should be able to go freely now, but let's be careful. Also, you're going to need to come up with your own name when you're in Duel Links. You can't give away your true identity like you did before. That could cause problems for you in the real world."
"Is that why're you're staying in my duel disk?" Shiki questioned.
"Precisely. It be good to keep a low profile." Eden said. "If we cause any more trouble in Duel Links, we don't want people to know it was really you." That made sense to Shiki. He's just glad he can check the place out. That was right when the shadow of someone came over him. He looked up and saw it was Rebecca.
"Hi, Rebecca." Shiki said.
"Hi, Shiki. Can we talk for a minute?" Rebecca said.
"Uh... Sure. Is something wrong?" Shiki asked.
"A little, like the fact that you dueled a Duel Links security program." Rebecca said with Shiki a little surprised that she knows that. "I take it that's the duel disk that Eden is in."
"How do you know?!" Shiki said.
"I know because I was there." Rebecca whispered to him and made sure no one was listening. "I'm actually Aoneko."
"What?!" Shiki said as he was surprised to know it was her he saw the other day.

Meanwhile, Justice was running his own little investigation. He wanted to know who that duelist was. As someone who has a name like his, he can't allow those he believes to be troublemakers to do as they please. He had an investigation run, but hasn't found anything.
"Nothing about that mystery duelist or the cards he used." Justice said as he looked over what little findings he had. Since he never showed up in Duel Links before, he couldn't get much on him. "There's also that thing in his duel disk I saw..." He said as he thought about Eden. "Was that some sort of A.I.? I've never seen one like it before."
"Sir, the other executives are on an open line." An assistant of his said.
"Thank you." Justice said as he flipped a switch and closed off his office. Once that happened, he opened his own channel and the screens of four other people appeared. Their names were Holy, Feather, Cure, and Eraser.
"Well, we're here Justice. What is so important?" Eraser questioned.
"I have something to discuss with all of you. Someone logged into Duel Links using a duel disk system we didn't recognize." Justice said.
"Yes, I received the same alert about that as well." Cure claimed.
"Is there something to be concerned about?" Holy questioned.
"The fact that someone could do that is troubling itself." Justice said. "I've also seen that he used cards and an A.I. program in his duel disk that I'm not familiar with."
"Has anything happened?" Holy asked.
"Not yet. Whoever it was had their account just recently made." Justice claimed. "I don't like how this turned out."
"Are you worried this will be just like how it was with Elsie?" Eraser said.
"Justice, if nothing has happened, maybe you shouldn't worry about it." Holy said. "You be a lot cuter if you could learn to just relax."
"Duel Links is like a city. That means it comes with rules and laws, and we have to be the ones that enforce them." Justice said. "Duel Links also gives criminals and hackers access. We already have a few dangerous criminals roaming around in there that has become difficult for us to track."
"Justice, if you believe this duelist you saw could become a problem, we'll take it into consideration." Feather said.
"However, remember to handle this carefully." Cure said. "If we don't handle things right, our company will be dealt with many lawsuits. If we have to enforce rules and laws like in a city, as you say, we have to obey them."
"Of course." Justice said. "I just want to make sure truly innocent people are safe. Those people are our responsibility." Justice seems to have taken full responsibility into what he does and holds great pride in it. If anyone causes trouble in Duel Links, he'll make sure they won't.

Sakura High
"Wow! That's all impressive and amazing!" Rebecca said as she looked over Shiki's duel disk. Since she now knows about Shiki and that he was that duelist she saw, he and Eden ended up telling her everything. "So, your grandfather was some sort of inventor and he programmed Eden just for you. That is so cool."
"Ziggy was more than just an inventor. He was a true genius and visionary." Eden claimed.
"And that deck of yours originally belonged to him, which he also named Eden after?" Rebecca questioned.
"Sure did." Shiki said.
"That is incredible. I never knew you had such an awesome grandpa." Rebecca said. "I recorded your duel, but once I started to settle down once I got home, I wasn't really sure if I should. If people find out about what happened, it might cause trouble. That's why I didn't upload it."
"Upload?" Eden questioned.
"Yeah. You see, I'm a duelist streamer." Rebecca claimed. "By that, I record my own duels or the duels of others and post them online for others to see. There are tons of duelists like that. The whole world practically loves videos like that. I thought your duel would have made a great video, but I started thinking that it wouldn't have been a good idea. It's too bad because my channel could have really used some boosting."
"What do you mean?" Shiki questioned.
"Well... I don't really have a lot of viewers and followers." Rebecca admitted. "Compared to some others, my videos are just basic and average. That's why I'm trying to find great video material. So, was that really your first time in Duel Links, Shiki?"
"Yeah. When Grandpa passed away, I couldn't really afford to build my own deck or get the latest duel disk." Shiki said. "Whatever money I get went straight for food and living arrangements, so I never went inside."
"You mean... You don't have parents?" Rebecca questioned.
"Nope. Grandpa was the one that raised me, and now he's gone." Shiki said. Rebecca felt rather bad for him. She doesn't know Shiki that well, but he does seem like a nice guy. She could tell from just that duel she saw, and she's a nice person herself.
"Tell you what... How about we head into Duel Links after school and I'll show you around?" Rebecca offered.
"Really?!" Shiki said.
"Sure. You're new, and I would be happy to show you around." Rebecca said.
"That would be great!" Shiki said as he's really glad Rebecca was the one he met the other day.

Duel Links
Once school ended, the two of them were able to go back to Duel Links. It would seem that Eden's tweaking worked. No alarms were going off this time about his arrival this time. Once they were there, the two of them were able to walk with the crowd. It didn't seem that much different from real life.
"This is what Duel Links is really all about." Aoneko said. "It's a place from people all around can meet up."
"It's as huge as a city. How far does it really go?" Shiki questioned
"No idea, but it's a lot of fun." Aoneko said. "People don't just come here to duel. It's also a great place to hang out. It's like you have the pleasure of living in two cities at once. Even if it is virtual reality, it all feels so real."
"Hey, are you sure I'm not going to get in trouble for being here?" Shiki questioned. "I don't want you to get in trouble because of me."
"I would have to agree to with him. It's very nice of you to help us, but there's no reason for you to get yourself in trouble with us." Eden said.
"It will all be fine. There are hundreds of people here, and you didn't really did anything illegal." Aoneko said. "What happened before was just a mistake you made, but Eden just fixed that. You should also be fine in the real world. They don't know who you are in the real world because that would be a violation of privacy rights."
"Well, just to be sure about that, I'm also making it difficult for them to track us." Eden said. "Until we prove to these people we're not some sort of threat, it might be best to keep a low profile."
"You are? Wow, you're good." Shiki said.
"On that note, we do need to come up with a name for you when you're in Duel Links." Aoneko said. "Just like how I call myself Aoneko, you need an avatar name."
"A name for me while I'm here..." Shiki said as he wondered what that could be.
"Oh, look what the dorky blue cat dragged in." That was when they both noticed someone coming their way and everyone looked like they were staring at a celebrity. It ended up being a young lady with long blue hair with what looked like a detached tail on the side of her head. She wore a black and green outfit with white laces around her waist.
"Hi, Labilia." Aoneko said with annoyance.
"Hello, Aoneko. Who is your creepy looking friend?" Labilia asked.
"Be nice. He's new to Duel Links, and I'm just being a good person and showing him around." Aoneko said.
"The boring streamer showing a newbie around? Yet another pathetic video. I honestly don't know why you even bother." Labilia claimed. "Your videos will never compare to mine. You might as well just give it up. Then again, the more boring yoru videos look, the better mine look."
"Hey, that's not nice. Who is she anyway?" Shiki asked.
"I don't know, and I don't like her myself." Eden said.
"You don't know who I am? Well, you're friends with Aoneko, so you're probably stupid." Labilia said. That was when she noticed Eden. "Oh my gosh! What is that thing?!" She said as she tried getting a good look at Eden. "She looks beautiful for being so small! Is that the newest A.I. model?! How come I don't have it yet?! Will you let me have it?! You'll get to be in my newest video!"
"No way! I'm not giving Eden up for anything!" Shiki said.
"Come on. Just ignore her." Aoneko said as she grabbed his arm and pulled him out of there.
"Let me know if you change your mind! I promise you won't regret it!" Labilia called and tried to sound flirty to persuade him.
"Who was that?" Shiki asked.
"That there is a girl that has no shame. She even goes by her real name when you probably shouldn't do that." Aoneko claimed. "Labilia just think she's all that because she makes videos like me. I hate to admit it, but she is pretty good. She's been in the top ten video streamers for a long time. The thing is that she doesn't even do her own duels. She just videos other duels and yet somehow makes it all about her."
"She certainly is enjoying being in the limelight." Eden said.
"Well, now that you're here, is there anything you would like to do?" Aoneko questioned.
"Uh... I'm not sure." Shiki said as he tried to think about what he's going to do.
"Stop! Thief!"
"Thief?!" Shiki questioned. That was when they noticed trouble going on. They both looked and saw someone riding on a motorcycle through the streets of Duel Links. He just rode right through and made his way around people with him passing Shiki and Aoneko.
"What was that about?!" Aoneko questioned, but then noticed Shiki chasing after him. "Hey! Where are you going?!" She called as she went after him. "What do you think you're doing?"
"What does it look like? I'm going after that thief." Shiki said.
"What?! That's crazy!" Aoneko said.
"Are you sure about this?" Eden questioned.
"It's another thing I learned from Grandpa." Shiki said. "If you see or hear someone in need of help, you help them. That's just how it is."
"I see... If that's the case, you'll never catch that thief on foot." Eden said. "I've got something that might be able to help." That was when something came flying through the sky. It came right at them and it looked like some sort of board. "Jump on!" Shiki jumped right up and got on it.
"Wait for me!" Aoneko called as she jumped on and was going with him.
"Now just try to keep your balance." Eden said as that board started flying and it was like they were surfing through the air.
"What is this thing?!" Aoneko questioned.
"We can talk about that another time." Eden said. "Right now, you can use this to catch that thief."
"Sounds good to me." Shiki said and was able to steer it with him going after that thief.
...
The Thief
Whoever the thief was, he made his way through the virtual city until he found a place where it was just him. When he was alone, he got off the motorcycle and used a special feature that put it away for another time. A good look at the guy showed he had blonde hair with streaks of blue in it with him having mechanical-like features on his arms and legs and wore a lavender-like jacket covering his body.
"Let's see what we've got." The guy said as he opened up the case and saw what passed for money in this virtual world. "Not bad."
"Hold it!" He was surprised to see someone caught up to him. He looked and saw Shiki and Aoneko jumped off the board and faced him.
"What? How did these guys find me?" The thief asked.
"That isn't yours. Hand it over." Shiki said.
"It's mine now." The thief said. Then, he took a good look at Aoneko. "Ooh... Then again, I might give it back if the cute cat girl makes it worth it." He said and even purred.
"Eew." Aoneko said.
"Eden, can you tell me anything about this guy?" Shiki questioned.
"I could, but I might need to do some hacking in order to do that." Eden said.
"Wow. I've never seen an A.I. like that before." The thief said. Shiki wasn't going to back down from this guy. Then, he noticed the duel disk on his wrist.
"What do you say we duel for it?" Shiki suggested.
"A duel?" The thief questioned.
"Yeah. Winner keeps the case." Shiki said.
"You're on." The thief said as he had no problem with that. "I might be a thief, but I'm also a duelist. I do love a good gamble. Fine with me. I'll take you on. By the way, I go my Wiseman here. What's your name?" Shiki didn't have one here and he really needed one now. He tried to think of something, but that was when he thought of his appearance and his grandfather.
'The ace of Grandpa's deck is Edens Demon King.' Shiki thought. 'I want to carry on Grandpa's memories. Given my appearance here...' He thought of the right name for him. "You can call me...Demon King."
