Chapter 116

Loki walked down the sidewalk to their home whistling softly to himself. He walked up the pathway that led to their home. He opened the door with a smile on his face. "Darling I'm home."

Everleigh came out of the kitchen with a smile on her face. "Hello darling, how was work?"

Loki pout his bag down on the couch coming up to her wrapping his arms around her pulling her close to him. "Busy as always darling."

Everleigh leaned up and kissed her husband softly on the lips. "Dinner is almost ready." She said softly against his lips.

Loki smiled a coy smile and pulled back. "My busy wife, I love you."

"And I love you." She said with a smile stroking some of his short hair back.

Loki kissed her again softly on the lips. "What are we having darling?"

"Mmmm. Molded Strawberry Salad, with baked ham and pineapple, Green Beans Amandine, with mashed Potatoes." She said easily listing off what she had made that evening for dinner and dessert. She knew that it was one of his favorite meals that she made and she wouldn't mind making it whenever he had wanted her to.

Loki ran his hand through her bobbed hair. "Mmmm I love it when you cook."

Everleigh let out a soft chuckle. "I know you do."

Loki pulled away. A look of worry flitted across his face. He was worried about Vision and Wanda who were having the Harts over for dinner. He could only hope that neither one of them would fail with the dinner that would direct his future in the company.

"You looked worried darling, what is it?" Everleigh questioned her brows pinched together in worry. She hated when Loki was worried about something because it always concerned her when she didn't know what was going on.

"Vision forgot dinner tonight."

"With?"

"Mr. Hart and his wife."

"Oh… well that's not good. I'm sure that they'll have it under control." She said hopefully that she would ease the tension that Loki was feeling at that moment. It was the last thing that she would want. She wanted him calm during dinner.

Loki let out a soft hum. "I hope that they do. I wouldn't want Vision to lose his job."

"Neither would I, darling." She said softly as she stroked his hair back some.

Loki kissed the top of her head softly. "Is it wrong for me to worry?"

"Oh darling I would worry. But I'm sure Wanda will have it under control." She said softly.

Loki picked her up and twirled her in his arms.

Everleigh let out a soft giggle as he twirled her around. She loved having his arms around her, it probably was one of the one reasons she married him. He had made her feel wanted and appreciated. "I should finish dinner." She said softly.

"I don't want to let you go."

Everleigh let out a soft laugh looking into his eyes. "You don't want to let me go?"

Loki shook his head. "We should try to have children soon."

"Your brother and father would enjoy that."

"So would my mother." Loki mused softly.

"I think my parents would say the same thing if they weren't so far away."

Loki kissed the top of her head once again. "I'm going to change clothes darling and I'll be back down soon."

"Alright darling." Everleigh said softly watching him go up the stairs. She took a soft breath and headed towards the kitchen. She had to admit that she loved this life with Loki so far. She wouldn't admit that children would make it even more special to her and make life more of an adventure. Perhaps it would be something that they would have to talk about in greater detail.
