This is set in series four. Merlin is feeling downtrodden, his relationship with Arthur troubled, thanks to the influence of the King's Uncle, Agravaine. Just as he has begun to lose his faith, a magical interlude occurs with his past, leaving him ready to face the challenges that lay ahead of him. Angsty/hopeful. A bit of Freylin revisited, for all the Freylin fans.

Morgause and Morgana cast an ancient spell to crown the most powerful magic user in the land as King or Queen.

Another part to 'Battolgical! Merlin lives on a ranch outside of Edinburgh in 1911 when one day he spots a photo of Gwaine and Lancelot on the cover of Arthur's morning paper. Of course though, they live in Liverpool, and on 13th of August 1911, 'Bloody Sunday', Merlin and Gwaine meet again.

After a long day, King Uther decides to find his son, who just got back from a rough hunt. When he does find him, Uther is highly amused. Fluffy oneshot.
