Saving a Friend
Hello, everyone and welcome back to Akari the Red Dragon Empress. This will be where the two Hyoudou siblings and the Peerages they're apart of will go save Asia from the Fallen Angels. With what Akari and Issei have, this chapter will play out a little differently than the original.
And I know a lot of people want to see how Issei handles the Sacred Gear he was given, so expect him to use it more in fights from this chapter onwards, as this chapter will be the fight to save Asia. Now, let's get into this juicy story.
We start off at the Hyoudou residence, as the twins were glad it was the weekend. Though, there was one thing they both couldn't stop thinking about: Asia. Ever since Akari came back from the fake contract, she and Issei couldn't really get their minds off what happened. Then, an idea came to Issei.
"Hey, how about we go to the park to take our minds off it?" he suggested.
"Well, that sounds better than us sitting here moping around." Akari said. They both got up and got ready.
They both had left and headed to the park. Issei wore a grey shirt and jean shorts, while Akari wore a purple muscle-shirt and jean short-shorts. It was a nice, warm day to dress accordingly. Once they got to the park, they still couldn't stop thinking about Asia.
"Man, I thought coming here would help me get my mind off Asia." Akari said.
"I'm sorry, I thought it would help." Issei apologized.
"It's alright, Issei. I know you meant well." Akari said, as she placed a hand on Issei's shoulder. They continued strolling through the park, until they spotted a familiar face. Right in front of them was none other than the blonde nun, Asia.
"Asia?" Both twins said, when they saw the blonde nun.
"Issei? Akari?" Asia also asked, not expecting the twins at the park.
"What are you doing here? Are you alright?" Akari asked, as she and Issei ran up to her.
"I'm doing just fine. I needed some fresh air, so I told the church I would be out." Asia said, but then added. "Though, I admit, I didn't expect seeing you two here."
"Well, we weren't expecting you, either. We thought something bad happened to you after Akari left." Issei told her.
"Don't worry about me. I didn't get in too much trouble. Freed on the other hand got into worse trouble than I did." Asia said.
"Wait, isn't that the scumbag that you fought?" Issei asked, looking to his sister.
"That's right. Though, I thought getting his cock cut off was enough punishment for that jerkwad." Akari said. That's when she changed the subject. "Let's forget about that now. How would you like to hang out with us today, Asia?" She asked.
"That sounds lovely." Asia said with a smile.
"Then let's get going!" Issei excitedly said, as they set off.
The twins wanted Asia to have a fun time on her day out of the church, as one of the first places they took her was an arcade, where Issei won her a yellow stuffed mouse that kinda resembled Pikachu. They also took her places they thought she would enjoy. When lunchtime rolled around, they took Asia to a restaurant where they all ordered burgers.
"One thing about burgers is that you gotta eat them like this." Issei said. Once they all got their burgers, he grabbed his and took a big bite from it, to which Akari did the same.
"Oh, okay." Asia said, as she grabbed her burger and took a big of a bite as she could out of it and ate it. "This is delicious!" She said after the bite.
"This place has the best food." Akari said.
Once they were done with lunch, both Akari and Issei made sure to pay the bill, as they then all left the restaurant. They all continued their fun little outing, untill Issei and Akari felt like they needed the restroom. Luckily, there was a restroom area nearby that was split into male and female.
"Asia, could you wait here? I need to use the restroom." Akari said.
"Yeah, same here." Issei added.
"Sure, I'll wait here for you." Asia told them, as the twins each went into their respective restrooms.
After a few minutes in the restrooms, both Issei and Akari came out, feeling relieved. Though, when Akari came out, she found Issei carrying the damaged toy he won Asia and no Asia.
"Issei, where's Asia?" Akari asked her brother.
"I don't know. I came out before you did and found this all battered up and no Asia." Issei told her. He then asked. "You don't think she was taken, do you?"
"Could have been. I don't know exactly who would take her and damage her toy." Akari told him. "Let's just go home for now."
They did just that to try and think about what happened. What they didn't know that Tsubaki was following them the half of the time they spent with Asia, as she made sure to be invisible so the twins wouldn't see her.
"What an interresting predicument. Sona and Rias should be informed about this." She said to herself, as she teleported out of there.
Back at the Hyoudou residence, both Akari and Issei had spent the rest of the day trying to figure out who exactly would take Asia and leave the battered toy for the twins to find. They then called it a night and went to sleep.
The weekend had passed, as the Hyoudou twins got ready for school and left. Once they got to school, Tsubasa approached them.
"Hey, Tsubasa. What's up?" Akari asked as she approached.
"Sona wanted you to know we were meeting Occult Reasearch Club building today after school." Tsubasa told Akari, which surprised both the twins.
"Why is the Student Council meeting there?" Issei asked, confused.
"I'm not entirely sure, but my hunch is it's about what Akari experienced with her previous contract." Tsubasa told them.
"We'll be there." Akari told her, as Tsubasa nodded and left. School went by normally for the twins, as nothing eventful happened. Once school was over, the twins headed to the ORC building to meet up with everyone. Once at clubroom, they saw everyone there.
"Good, you two made it." Akeno happily said.
"Yeah, we did. Why are we all here?" Akari asked, a little confused.
"I think it would be best if Sona explained." Rias said to her.
"Right. Rias and I have been discussing about what happened on Friday during Akari's contract. The nun named Asia tried healing Akari before some of my members and I got there to save her. Isn't that right, Akari?" Sona asked, looking to Akari.
"That's right. I know whoever usually works with the church is an enemy to devils, but Asia isn't like them at all." Akari told them.
"And it's also true that you and Issei hung out with Asia during the weekend before being kidnapped?" Sona asked Akari again. This surprised the twins, as they hadn't told anyone they hung out with Asia during the weekend.
"Yeah, we did. How did you know about that?" Akari asked.
"I happened to stumble upon you two with her, so I had to tell Sona and Rias about it." Tsubaki spoke up.
"Guess privacy isn't common among devils." Issei complained.
"You both will get used to it." Rias said, then added. "Besides, this Asia girl has me interested in her and her healing abilities."
"I believe Fallen Angels might have taken Asia, but I'm not a hundered percent certain." Akari told them.
Suddenly, just about everyone could feel a close magical disturbance, but pretended to not notice so to not draw attention. Sona looked to Rias, as she gave her friend a nod.
"Sona and I, along with Akeno and Tsubaki, have somewhere to be. If it is true that she has been taken by the Fallen, I'm certain it can be taken care of." Rias said, as she and Sona stepped into their respective magic circles with their Queens and teleported out.
"What did she mean by that?" Issei asked.
"It means we're gonna go get Asia." Akari said, as she starts heading for the door, but was stopped by Tomoe.
"Don't forget us. We're going to back you up." Tomoe said to Akari, as the twins looked to everyone else who made up Rias and Sona's peerage's.
"She's right. You two belong in two of the best peerage's we know, so why not back you up." Kiba said, as everyone got prepared for a fight.
"Right. Let's go get Asia back!" Akari exclaimed, as everyone cheered and headed out.
Meanwhile, outside a little ways of a church, we see a blonde teenage girl dressed in Gothic Lolita attire, which consisted of a black dress with white frills, a large black bow on the front, and a green jewel embedded on the collar, white thigh-high socks, and black shoes. She also wore a large black bow on top of her hair. She was sitting on a tree branch.
"Ugh, this is the worst! Standing guard is the most boring thing ever!" The girl complained, as she was bored. She then noticed a couple glowing lights, as she looked over to see Rias and Sona teleporting to her with their queens.
"Oooooh, ask and ye shall freaking recieve. Hi, there. I'm Mittelt, and I'm totally the most awesome Fallen Angel in the history of ever." The girl, now known as Mittelt, introduced herself.
"This little girl's really into herself, isn't she?" Akeno asked with a smile on her face.
"Seems like it." Tsubaki answered.
"We sensed you nearby. Since you're out here standing guard, your people must be worried about an attack." Rias told Mittelt.
"Worried? No, we're just in the middle of a super-duper-top-secret ritual and we don't want you devils interfering." Mittelt informed them.
"Not to burst your bubble, but some of out younger members of our teams are on their way right now." Akeno informed her.
"They're what?! Are you flippin' kidding me?" Mittelt asked, as she started to panic.
"Nope. And they're not being discreet about it." Akeno answered.
"Ooooh! I hate devils! I just wanna squish their ugly, stupid, devil faces!" Mittelt exclaimed, stomping her foot. She then added. "Ugh, whatever! Let them do their worst. Not like they can stop us. There are way more of us then there are of them."
"Actually, with our combined peerage's, there should handle your friends no doubt." Sona told her.
"So, why are you here? I hope it's not for some sort of rescue operation, cause if so, you'll have to deal with me first. I may be little, but I promise you this much: I can pack a mean punch." Mittelt told them.
"They're on their own." Rias told her, then added. "We won't be making any attempt to rescue them."
"So, what? You're just gonna sit back and watch?" Mittelt asked, confused. We then go to the front of the church, where the big group was waiting outside.
"Whoa, can you feel that?" Issei asked.
"Yeah, there is definately a lot of priests in there. Good thing we have a big group with us."Akari said.
"Of course, we're here to fight with you." Momo said.
"Just about everyone here isn't the biggest fans of the fallen angels." Reya said.
"We might as well go inside. They already know we're here." Koneko told everyone, as she walked up to the doors and kicked them open. Everyone walked in and saw it was empty inside.
"I can feel them, but I don't see them." Issei said. They then heard a slow clapping.
"So, we meet again." Came a familiar voice to Akari. Everyone looked over to see Freed coming out with bandages around his crotch area. "Gald you could make it. I bet I'm a sight for sore eyes, huh?"
"I see you're up and walking after what happened to you." Akari told him. This made Freed mad, but he then collected himself
"You're tactics won't work on me that easily. You see, I pride myself on the fact that I never have to battle any devil more than once, yet here you are just rubbing it in. If there's one thing I won't abide, its being mocked by maggot devils in the house of God. So, whaddya say? Let's finish this!" Freed said, pulling out his gun and light sword.
"Tell us where Asia is and we won't kick your ass." Akari threatened.
"Oh, right. You mean that dirty devil-loving whore of a Sister. All you have to do is go down to the basement, she's right beneath the alter we're curently standing on." Freed said, motioning to the alter behind him. "But you'll have to get past me to get to her."
"Sounds good to me. Boosted Gear!" Akari shouted, as the Boosted Gear appeared on her left hand. Suddenly, Koneko throws one of the benches at Freed, which he sliced through it with his sword.
Koneko and Tsubasa continue throwing benches at him, to which he starts dodging. Then Kiba and Tomoe came at Freed with their swords, to which he starts blocking both of them. They kept up the fight, to where Freed also tried using his gun, but both Kiba and Tomoe were to quick for that.
Kiba's blade then got covered in darkness, as he rushed to Freed to attack, only for Freed to block. When the dark blade connected with the light blade, it started absorbing the light blade until there was nothing left but the hilt of the sword.
"Hey, what the hell is this?!" Freed asked, surprised that Kiba's sword absorbed his light blade.
"It's the Holy Eraser. It's a sword of darkness that devours light." Kiba told him.
Back outside, Rias, Sona, Akeno and Tsubaki were still standing across from Mittelt.
"You know, we know that Kilawarna betrayed us and told you some of our information." Mittelt said.
"All we know is Raynare wants a Sacred Gear and that the nun you took has one." Rias told her. This made Mittelt laugh.
"Haha! You think she'd want her Sacred Gear? She's after another Sacred Gear, though I'm not saying which one. Now, time to bring a friend to this tea party." Mittelt said, as she opened a portal and Dohnaseek came through it.
"Sad to say we meet again, Lady Gremory and Lady Sitri. You two should've kept your servants in line." Dohnaseek told them.
"Well, well. The gang's all here." Akeno said.
Back inside the church, Akari rushed toward Freed while promoting herself to Rook. Freed tried shooting at her, but the defensive properties of the Rook protected her.
"Well, I'm fucked." Freed said, as Akari gave him a powerful right hook. This made Freed tumble onto the floor and crash into the broken benches.
"I've wanted to do that if we met again. That's for Asia." Akari told him.
"You bitch!" Freed exclained. He lunged toward Akari, but Tsubasa threw another bench at him and it sent him flying. "I'll be damned if a bunch of devils are gonna get the best of Freed Sellzen! You won the battle, but not the war, scum!"
Freed then threw something on the ground, as it let off a bright light for a moment, as he took that moment to escape. Once the light died down, they all saw he was gone.
"Well, I have a feeling we will see him again soon." Akari said.
"Hopefully not soon enough." Issei said.
"Let's keep moving." Kiba said, as Koneko and Tsubasa punched the alter to pieces, revealing stairs to a basement. Everyone started going down the stairs.
Back outside, the quartet of Devils were still haven't started fighting with the two Fallen Angels.
"It seems very clear to us that your intention here is to obstruct our ritual. And that we can't allow. You will pay for it with your lives." Dohnaseek said, as he took out his wings and flew up into the sky.
"Akeno." Rias said, as Akeno understood what she wanted.
"Already on it." Akeno said, as she summoned a storm cloud above them. She then summoned a barrior around them.
"It's a barrior." Dohnaseek said, pointing out the obvious.
"Oh, no! We are totes screwed." Mittelt said, panicking.
Back inside, the whole group made it to the bottom of the stairs.
"Come on in, Devils. Welcome to the party. Though I'm afraid you're too late." Raynare said, as we see Asia in a white nightdress being hung up on a giant cross by some chains.
"Asia!" Both Akari and Issei yelled, seeing Asia hung up like that.
"Issai, Akari. You came." Asia said, as she looked to them. The twins tried to go for Asia, but were held back by Kiba and Tomoe respectively, as a light spear was thrown at their feet and blasts them back.
"This really is an incredibly touching reunion. Unfortunately, I'm sure you know I was after a Sacred Gear, but not hers. She was only bait for my true objective: Obtaining Divine Dividing!" Raynere exclaimed, as she then summoned a light spear and threw it at Asia, striking her in the heart.
"Asia!" The twins yelled, seeing what Raynere did to Asia.
"Now that she's out of the way, how will you be handing over your Sacred Gear? The easy way, or the the hard way?" Raynere asked Issei.
"Screw you, I'm not handing you anything!" Issei told her.
"Yeah, we're going to kick your ass and get Asia back in the process!" Akari exclaimed. She then charged towards Raynere with Issei, as he activated Divine Dividing.
"Guess it's the hard way." Raynere said, as she snapped her fingers and all the priests that were in the room with her went for Issei and Akari. The twins were dodging the priests, as the rest of Rias and Sona's peerage went to fight the priests so they could have a clear path to Raynere.
"Thanks, guys." Akari said, as she and Issei ran up to where Asia was. They both stopped at the base where Asia was, as they looked at her and couldn't believe she was dead.
"You deserve a reward for making it this far." Raynere said, snapping her fingers to unbind the chains. Issei had caught the dead Asia as she fell to the ground.
"Issei, take Asia's body as far as you can. I'll deal with Raynere." Akari said, glaring daggers at Raynere.
"But-" Issei was about to protest, but saw Akari look down at him with tears in her eyes.
"Just do it." Akari told him, as she then rushed to Raynere to deliver a solid punch to her cheek. Issei nodded, as he picked up Asia bridal style and took her up to the church.
Back outside the church, Dohnaseek and Mittelt were still flying around the four women surrounded by barriors.
"Man, this bites. Not only did Killawarna betray and run off on us, we have to face these devils on our own." Mittelt complained.
"Don't fret, Mittelt. That traitor will get whats coming to her. As for those in the church, none of them will win, especially that Divine Dividing brat." Dohnaseek boasted confidentally.
"Don't get cocky, our servents are pretty strong." Rias said, then added. "Also, don't mock my new favorite servent in front of me, or you'll make me angry."
"Ha! I'm so scared. It's not my fault that servent of yours is very weak. Even a baby could beat him." Dohnaseek said. This was a bad move, as Rias then starts gaining a red aura around her body.
"Oh, no. Looks like you ticked her off." Akeno said, not looking worried one bit.
"Looks like you are in for it." Sona told the two Fallen Angels. Mittelt started to panic at this.
"W-Wait, wait. He was the one making fun of your servent, not me. Please don't hurt me." Mittelt begged, as she had waved her arms in a panic.
Back inside, Issei brought Asia up to the church, as he set her on one of the still intact benches. He was about to head back to the stairs to help Akari out, but a blur flew out of the stairs. The one that came out was Raynere flying there.
"Thought you could get away from me that easily? That bitch of a sister of yours is really annoying." Raynere said, annoyed. She had a bruise on her cheek from Akari's punch.
"Don't talk about Akari like that!" Issei yelled angrily.
"So demanding. Where was this on our date? Now, last chance to hand over your Sacred Gear before I kill you." Raynere said, readying a light spear. Befoere she could throw it, Akari came in and kicked the spear from Raynere's hand.
"He's not handing anything over to you, Raynere!" Akari stated. She then looked to Issei. "Issei, we'll have to work together to beat her."
"But what if I'm not strong enough?" Issei asked.
"You are strong, you just have to believe in yourself." Akari told him. Issei then got a determaned face and gave a nod, as he went to stand next to Akari.
"I think you two make me sick." Raynere said.
"Remember, focus on her while using your Sacred Gear." Akari instructed.
"Right." Issei said, focusing on Raynere. As he did, he ran up and geabbed her arm. Divine Dividing glowed and yelled 'Divide!' as Raynere felt her power being cut in half. Issei then jumped back in case Raynere tried anything.
"You little prick! Give me back my power!" Raynere yelled, as she rushed for Issei.
"I got some power for you." Akari said, as she focused when the Boosted Gear shouted 'Boost!' and gained some power of her own. Once Raynere was close enough, Akari gave her a powerful punch to the face, as she was sent back through a wall.
Akari was about to follow her, but Raynere came back with a bunch of bruises on her body.
"You fucking bitch! I'm gonna kill you for this!" Raynere said, as she made a light spear and threw it at Akari. Akari promoted herself to Knight, as she dodged the spear. While that was happening, Issei jumped up to where he was above Raynere, as he divided her power again and slammed Raynere into the ground, making a small crator. Once the dust settled, we see Raynere on the ground in defeat.
"And that's that. Nice job, Issei." Akari said, giving a thumbs up to Issei.
"Thanks, I couldn't have done it without you." Issei said.
"You both did a pretty good job." Came the voice of Rias, as the twins look over to see Rias was standing there with Sona.
"Yes. Good work to both of you." Sona said. Everyone of their peerage's came up from the basement.
"Thank you. Where's Akeno and Tsubaki?" Akari asked.
"They're cleaning up the mess Rias made." Sona said. We then switched to outside, where Akeno and Tsubaki were cleaning up feathers with a bruised and defeated Mittelt on the ground and no Dohnaseek anywhere to be found.
"I don't know if you two know this, but this was a ploy for Raynere to get Issei's Sacred Gear." Akari explained to Rias and Sona.
"We heard that Asia was bait for another Sacred Gear, but didn't know it was about Issei's." Sona said.
"I think it's time to get rid of one more loose end." Rias said, walking over to the crator. Rias then made a red energy sphere of distruction, as Raynere had regained consciousness, only to see the orb of destructioncoming to her and kill her. Akari then remembered something.
"Issei, where did you put Asia?" She asked, looking to her brother.
"Crap, she's over here." Issei said, leading Akari to where Asia was. We see Asia laying there with the hole in her heart.
"Man, if only we had been quick enough. If so, then Asia would still be here." Akari said, as tears started to form in her eyes.
"Don't forget, Devils can bring someone back from the dead if they recently passed or just about to pass." Rias said, walking up to the twins.
"That's right, just like you did for Issei." Akari said, wiping the tears from her eyes.
"That's right." Rias said, as she then pulled out a Bishop piece from her pocket. "Luckily, I came prepared for this type of situation."
"A Bishop?" Issei asked.
"That's right. Guess you're making Asia your second Bishop?" Sona asked her friend.
"That's right." Rias said confidentally.
"Second Bishop? Right, I kinda forgot that Gasper was your first Bishop." Akari said.
"Right. Issei, mind helping me out by carrying Asia over here?" Rias asked, as she had made a magical circle on the ground.
"Sure." Issei said. He picked up Asia again and brought her over to the magic circle. He placed her down in it, as Rias placed the Bishop piece on her chest. Rias then started the incantation.
"In the name of Rias Gremory, I call to Asia Argento. Hear my command. Return thy soul from the shadow of death to the human realm. Rise once more as my demon servant. Rejoice! For you have been given new life! Wake as my healer and clergyman!" Rias chanted.
The circle around Asia glowed, as the Evil Piece went into Asia's body and the hole to her heart had closed up completely, as it looked like she hadn't been penetrated. Once that was all done, the glow had then died down completely.
"So, what now? Is she gonna wake up?" Issei asked.
"Just wait." Rias said. Suddenly, the Twilight Healing on Asia's hands glowed, as she then started waking up.
"You're alive!" Issei happily said, as Asia sat up.
"Huh? Issei, Akari? Am I really here?" Asia asked, confused of her surroundings. Issei and Akari then gave her a hug at the same time.
"Yes, and we're so happy. You're home." Akari said, happy to see her new friend alive again. Everyone smilled at the happy reunion.
After the big rescue mission was over, everyone had went home. Rias told the twins that she would take Asia to the ORC clubhouse for now, as they said goodbye to her for now and went home to rest for tomorrow.
The next day, the twins had wento school and did their normal classes. Akari had asked Sona if she could visit Asia at the ORC clubroom, to which Sona allowed. Both Issei and Akari went into the ORC clubroom and found not oly Rias there, but Asia as well.
"Hey, hey. How's it going." Issei said.
"Hey there, Issei. I see Sona let you come her, Akari." Rias said, as she saw the twins coming in.
"Yeah, I just wanted to come and see how Asia was doing." Akari said, going over to Asia and giving her a hug.
"I'm doing fine. Just trying to get used to being a devil now." Asia told Akari. Akari then noticed Asia was wearing the school uniform.
"Wait, don't tell me you're going here too!" Akari excitedly said.
"That's right. My father is on the school board, so getting her enrolled as a transfer student wasn't a problem." Rias said.
"That's awesome!" Akari happily said, as she have Asia another hug. That's when Kiba and Koneko came in.
"Hey, Issei. Hey, Akari." Kiba greeted.
"Not surprising to see you here." Koneko said to Akari.
"Yeah, I had to stop by to see our new transfer student." Akari told the two. Akeno then came in pushing a cart with a cake on it.
"Good, everyone's here. I brought cake so we can officially welcome our new member. You can join us too, Akari." Akeno said.
While everyone was enjoying the cake, we see a bird that had red and yellow flame-like feathers looking into the window without anyone noticing.
There we go, another chapter done. I was planning to get this chapter out by Christmas, but some videogames that I wanted to play kept me busy while I also did this chapter, so here it is.
I know in the first chapter that I didn't use the Divine Dividing powers correctly, as I didn't have Issei touch Dohnaseek, so I made up for it in this chapter.
Also, kept Riser's pheonix at the end like usual, as to remind everyone that he's coming up very soon. Wonder how the Rating Game between his and Rias peerages will go this time, since Issei has Divine Dividing this time around.
