When I woke up, I was in a swampland it seemed. My clothes and fur were dirty, with flies surrounding me. I got up and looked around, it was very foggy, with lots of trees and swamp surrounding the area. I started trekking through the swamp. It was very muddy and dirty, messing up my fur every chance it got. After what seemed like hours of walking, I came across some form of life. It was a small village it seemed. It wasn't connected to any roads, but it seemed to have a small population of some Pokemon I didn't recognize at first. I walked closer to the village and saw the Pokemon there better. There were some Dracovish, Aipoms, and Emolgas roaming, as well as a few Houndour. As I walked in the village, the pokemon in it saw how dirty I was, they didn't care much though, and even gave me a bath. They spoke normal Pokemon cries, so I spoke that way as well. I can't translate it into full sentences yet, but they were really nice, even offering me some food and drink. However, before I did any of that, I asked them where I was. They said I was in a small village named Everglora. It was in the middle of the Everglades, near Miami. I then asked them to take me to their leader, as I wanted to figure out more about this strange place. They nodded and led me into a building bigger than the rest. The building looks really nice, even for being built in swampland. After a long walk through what seemed like a labyrinth, we finally reached the Throne Room. On the throne was what seemed like a robot. I walked up and bowed, to show respect. "Greetings, young one." The leader said. "What brings you to my kingdom?" "Greetings. I have a long story to tell, but please introduce yourself." I said. 'Very well. My name is Orisa, I come from Numbani, a modern age country that was destroyed years ago and is now where Ethiopia stands." Orisa said. "Nice name. My name is Delphox, I come from Georgia. I found myself here after falling off a boat and into a river." I said and explained. "Very well. Where were you last?" Orisa asked me. "A river near Orlando I think." I said. "Hm, I may know where that is. Let me reference my map." Orisa then pulled out a map of Florida. The weird part however, was how different it was from the true Florida we know. The Everglades were mapped out perfectly, but when it came to where civilization was, the shapes got a bit rocky. "I believe that Orlando is north of here. I can take you if you so wish." She said after inspecting the map. "Please! I would love that." I said. "Very well. Just give me a while to announce this trip, as I will have to be gone and going with you." She said before walking into another room. I nodded and headed back outside, eating some marshmallows that an Emolga gave to me. After a bit, Orisa came out, dressed in her normal clothes it seemed, not her fancy gown she was wearing last I saw of her. "My fellow citizens, I have come to make an announcement. I will be leaving this kingdom temporarily to help Delphox here return home. I am a sworn protector, and I will not refuse to take her home in an unscarred state." She said. Everyone seemed sad, but bowed in response. "I appoint Tails as my heir for the time being. Please take good care of everyone." She said before a yellow looking fox walked out and took over the speech. Orisa stepped down and pulled me over to her. Before we left, we stopped at a house. Orisa knocked on the door and out came a cat. "Oh hey Orisaa! What's poppin?" She said. "Hello Honey. I request that you come with me and my new friend here, Delphox. We are going to venture to Orlando, unknown territory to us, but known to her." Orisa said. "Alright, let me grab my bag!" Honey said before running upstairs. She came down a second later with her bag and wearing some makeup I presumed. "Okay, I'm ready, Ris!" She said. "Very well. Let us go now." Orisa said before we started walking north and back into the swampy unknown. As we trekked through the swamp, it was really empty. There seemed to be no life, no plants, and no sign of anything existing. There were only trees and swampy water. It was truly a sight of how empty Florida was. After what felt like hours, we finally made it to something other than swampland. It was a clearing with a highway, it even had cars driving down it. It was my first sight of civilization for what seemed like days, so I just stood there, taking it in. But a minute later, Orisa pulled me away and back into the swamplands. The reason being we couldn't cross the highway, which I thought was obvious. As we kept walking, me and Honey were just chatting while Orisa led the way. "So Delphox, what was your life like before you ended up here in Everglora" Honey asked. "Well, I lived a pretty normal life. Had a girlfriend, friends, a house, went to school, all pretty normal stuff. What about you?" I replied before asking. "Well, I was a total fashionista! I always knew what the hottest outfits were, the coolest makeup, and all that stuff. But then, while doing a photoshoot near a lake, I ended up slipping and falling into it! And you can probably guess the rest." Honey explained. "Interesting. What stuff did you model in? If I may ask." I asked her. "You know, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, all the designer brands." She explained. "Interesting, sounds like you were a high end model!" I said. Before Honey could speak, Orisa stopped us. "Delphox, is this where you wanted to go?" She said. I looked forward and to my surprise, I saw the dock where I had gotten on the boat. I was astonished, and just sat looking for a minute. After another second, I hugged Orisa very tightly and caught her off guard. Honey smiled at the scene. "Thank you so much…" I said, tearing up a bit. Orisa smiled before hugging me back. "No.. Thank you.. For showing me there's something beyond what I know.. I will always be with you.." She said before letting go. I walked off from Honey and Orisa, both smiling and seeming a bit sad to go. After walking far enough, I came across the Travelodge where my group was staying. I knocked on the door and Kara opened it. "Hello?" He muttered before looking at me dead in the eyes. My fur was still dirty, so I was embarrassed. I smiled awkwardly at him before he hugged me tight. "Guys guys! Delphox is back!" He said excitedly. The rest of the group came outside, shocked to see me back. They all just hugged me, not caring how dirty I was. "We missed you so much… But obviously I did the most." Shiver said. "We were so scared, you know.." Lily said shyly. "Well it's all okay now guys, I'm here." I said. That was the word I said before the explosion happened.
