A small free verse poem for the Methur fandom and my best friend. It was based on a fanfic I read one time, but I cannot remember the name of it now.

It's strange, he thinks, being the one that holds Merlin up when it's normally the other way around./ Or, the one where Arthur has a promise to keep, Merlin struggles to keep himself afloat, and the knights are a lot more caring than even the King was aware. Canon era AU and established Merlin/Arthur.

Merlin and Arthur wake up in each others bodies. (Yeah I know very Freaky Friday) How will Merlin cope with being King? How will Arthur cope with being a servant? Arthur notices the look in his knights' eyes whenever they see Merlin, so he resolves to have a talk with them. The next thing he knows, his men are giving him advice on how to set the romantic mood, and Merlin realises that everyone in Camelot is a homosexual. Slash. (Duh.) Crack.

Arthur's a womaniser and wants Gwen in his bed by all means, including marrying her through cheat and gamble. Gwen loathes Arthur yet succumbs to the loveless marriage for her father. But destiny mentions Arthur's first wife will die and only his second will bring him happiness. And Elena is waiting in the wings. Read as the drama unfolds ... will gwen die or will she live?
