Above Atollon and inside the Liberator, Sabine was sitting in a prison cell within one of the CR90 corvette's prison blocks and across from Rau, who had his Beskar plates removed with his arms crossed as his hair was short, neatly combed back on top with the sides being shaved, giving him a stern and disciplined look, while Sabine had both of her fists near her chin and her elbows over her knees as they were playing a Mandalorian holographic game known as cubikahd.

The game had each player have four knives, which would be moved to various positions on a cube where one of the players would intend to capture their opponent's knives. Rau's knives were red with two of them being on the top of the cube and the other knives on two other sides of the cube with one of them being in front of the cell's entrance and the other being in front of Sabine. The female Mandalorian's knives were blue with two of them being on the top of the cube like Rau's were as one of them was in front of the Protector and the other one being on the side of the cube in front of the cell's entrance as well.

Chopper stood outside of the cell as he was projecting the game with his holoprojector as two rebel troopers stood on both sides of the cell's entrance, wielding blaster rifles in their hands as they were guarding the Protector.

"Blade to cube face four?" Rau scoffed with surprise in his voice, "That's a showy move. You play with too much bravado."

"Strategy is an art, Rau," She explained as she moved her hands away from her chin, "Maybe I'm lulling you into a false sense of security."

"There's nothing false about it," Rau chuckled, "Blade to cube face two." One of his knives on the top of the cube then moved towards one of Sabine's, turning it red, "I win. I'll bet your game has slipped since you left Mandalore. Why do you keep coming back here? Your, your husband, master and rebels have imprisoned me. My Protectors have orders to give you safe passage through our space. What more do you want?"

"Reset the board, Chop," Sabine ordered the astromech droid as she looked at him before he grunted a response as he reset the cubikahd board as the knives disappeared and hovered over three sides of the cube, in front of her, Rau and Chopper, "I want the same thing we've always wanted. For you and your Protectors to join us, to fight the Empire."

"I made a deal with the Empire to survive. I made a deal with your Rebellion to survive," he reminded her, "But joining you? My only true loyalty is to Mandalore."

"Well, I'll keep trying," she told him, "Maybe next time, I'll have my father-in-law try to convince you to join us."

"I admire your persistence, Sabine Wren," Rau admitted, "You and your husband could have been Protectors, if not for your traitorous pasts and training to become Jedi."

"Oh, not this again," Sabine muttered to herself.

"We along with Ezra, Ephraim and Mira could still work together now, if I were free," Rau told her, "Not for the rebels, not for the Empire. For Mandalore."

"Sorry to interrupt playtime, but Hera wants you in the war room for a briefing," Zeb announced as he appeared outside the cell as he placed his right fist over his hip, "Both of you." He then lowered his right arm as Chopper grunted a response as he switched off his holoprojector with the cubikahd board disappearing as he rolled away and followed Zeb to the Liberator's war room.

A while later inside the CR90 corvette's war room, Hera stood on one side of the room's holotable with her left hand over her hip, which was projecting the fragmented planet of Concord Dawn from its holoprojector as Sato stood next to her. Zeb stood across from the Twi'lek with his arms crossed as Rau stood in front of him with stuncuffs around his wrists with Sabine, Ezra, Mira and Ephraim standing next to their fellow Mandalorian. Kanan stood across from them with his hands over his side of the holotable as Markus stood next to him with Chopper rolling towards the holotable.

"We've lost communications with the Mandalorian base on Concord Dawn," Hera reported to the five Mandalorians, Zeb, Kanan and Markus.

"Rebel leaders are concerned your Protectors are setting a trap for us," Sato told Rau.

"Impossible," Rau muttered with disbelief in his voice, "My men are loyal to my word. Your safe passage through our system is secure. If you've lost communication, something's happened."

"He's right," Ephraim said, agreeing with him, "The Protectors are loyal to their leader. If they've gone silent, it's not because they're setting a trap. Something's happened."

"Rau's right," Mira stated as she crossed her arms, "The Protectors are not the type to set traps. They're warriors, not schemers. If they've gone silent, it's because they can't communicate, not because they won't. We should prepare for the worst."

"I'll go check it out," Sabine told them, volunteering to go to Concord Dawn.

"Me too," Ezra said, agreeing with his wife, "It's a system of our people after all."

"I should go with you two," Rau suggested, "They're my men. I can talk to them."

"Wait. Isn't he our prisoner?" Zeb said with confusion in his voice.

"More like a cranky guest," Kanan corrected him.

"Yeah, that's a good analogy, Kanan," Markus said, agreeing with him.

"He can go, but he stays in binders," Hera told them, "Take Ephraim and Chopper with you. Do a recon sweep of their base, then come right back. The three of you are not to land or engage. And try not to wreck the Phantom II. We just got that thing."

"Understood," Sabine responded.

"Will do," Ezra said, agreeing with his wife.

"Yeah, sure thing, Hera," Ephraim told the Twi'lek before he, his son and daughter-in-law left the Liberator's war room with Rau and Chopper.

About an hour later, the Sheathipede-class shuttle that the rebels took from the Separatist holdout on Agamar that they had named the Phantom II jumped out of Hyperspace as it entered the system of Concord Dawn. It had been modified to have two forward-mounted cannons on both sides of the shuttle with two rear ventral turrets and an astromech socket on the ship's right side with Chopper inside of it. The shuttle had also been repainted white, yellow and red by Sabine with a red, yellow and black colored stylized depiction of a Tipidee on the left side of its fin.

"So, I heard that Sabine was trying to recruit you and your Protectors to join the Rebellion earlier," Ezra told Rau as he had his jetpack secured to his back as he sat across from him, while Sabine sat on the shuttle's pilot seat as she was piloting the shuttle with Ephraim sitting on the shuttle's co-pilot seat.

"I'm not in the mood to speak to you about that," Rau replied before Ezra began whistling as he stood up and approached his wife and father in the Phantom II's cockpit as Ephraim had a jetpack painted in the color scheme of Clan Bridger secured to his back.

"You know, despite being a Mandalorian, I sometimes tend to forget the destruction our people have done during the thousands of years of warfare that we have inflicted on many planets across the galaxy," Ezra said as he stared at the shattered southern hemisphere of Concord Dawn.

"You're right, son," Ephraim told him as he looked at him with the corner of his eye, "Let's hope that no other planet has to deal with the destruction that our people have caused throughout our people's long history."

"Too bad our people can't stop fighting each other," Sabine stated.

"Yeah, you're right, Sab'ika," Ezra said, agreeing with his wife, "But I bet that some people wouldn't get the whole part of fighting in our culture."

"Ezra, watch him!" Sabine warned her husband as she saw Rau sneak up behind him.

"What?" Ezra said before he was knocked unconscious by Rau as he entered the cockpit and picked up one of Ezra's WESTAR-35s from his armor's holsters.

Sabine then stood up as he aimed it at her as she pulled out one of her WESTAR-35s and fired it at him, only for it to hit his stuncuffs instead as he switched the setting on Ezra's WESTAR-35 from lethal to stun as he fired a stunblast at her, stunning her as she slumped to the floor.

"Rau!" Ephraim yelled at his old friend as he stood up and rushed towards him, only for Rau to stun him with Ezra's WESTAR-35 as well as he slumped to the floor near his son and daughter-in law before the Protector walked up to the shuttle's pilot seat as he took control of the shuttle and began to pilot the Phantom II towards Concord Dawn's third moon.

A while later, Chopper stood in front of Ezra with both of his metal arms out of his dome b before he grabbed his dome with his right metal arm as he pinched it and pulled his head towards him.

"Ow. Ow!" Ezra said as he grabbed his nose with his right hand as it was in pain from Chopper pinching it as the astromech let go of it before he hit him on the back of his head with his left metal arm before he grunting in a laughing tone, "Ow, Chopper, knock it off." He then realized that he and Sabine were stuncuffed together as Chopper placed both of his metal arms back inside his dome, "Hey. Sabine?"

"I'll live," Sabine groaned as she regained consciousness as Chopper used his spark projector to free them from the stuncuffs, "Where's Rau?"

"I don't know, but he's got our weapons," Ezra answered before he turned back towards Chopper, "Hey. Did we land?" Chopper then grunted a response, confirming his suspicions that the Phantom II had indeed landed before he saw that his father was unconscious on the floor, "Dad!"

"I'm fine, son," Ephraim told him as he slowly regained consciousness and rubbed the back of his head with his right hand as he stood back up and looked out the ship's viewport and saw that they had landed as he lowered his right arm, "Let's go find Rau."

The three Mandalorians soon grabbed their helmets and placed them over their heads as the shuttle's rear door slid open with its ramp extending outwards and lowering onto the ground before they walked out of the Phantom II with Chopper following them. As they left the shuttle, they saw Rau standing on top of a cliff ahead and above them before they began climbing up towards Rau with Chopper activating his rocket booster as they began to approach the protector.

As they reached the top of the cliff, they noticed that Rau was holding one of Ezra's WESTAR-35s in his right hand with both Ezra and Sabine's lightsabers clipped to his belt with Ezra's other WESTAR-35 as well as Sabine and Ephraim's WESTAR-35s on the ground before them as Ezra extended his right hand towards towards him and used the Force to grab his WESTAR-35 from the Protector's right hand.

"Turn around," Ezra ordered Rau as he aimed his WESTAR-35 at the Protector, "Slowly."

"Rau?" Sabine said as she and Ephraim picked up their WESTAR-35s with their hands and placed them back inside their holsters before she picked up Ezra's other WESTAR-35 and handed him the blaster as he took it from her and placed it back inside his armor's left pauldron.

"What's wrong?" Ephraim asked him as he, Ezra and Sabine began to approach him as he and Sabine knew that something was wrong as Ezra continued to aim his WESTAR-35 at Rau before he lowered his right arm as the three of them removed their helmets from their heads and saw that the Protectors' camp had been attacked with everyone who were inhabiting it being killed.

"Your men weren't laying a trap. They were ambushed," Sabine told Rau, "The Empire?"

"No, Sabine, this wasn't the Empire," Ephraim stated as he continued to look at the remnants of the Protectors' camp, "This… this looks eerily similar to what happened to Tehron during the Massacre of Clan Bridger. The same efficiency, the same disregard for life, the only thing being different is that there's no evidence of disruptors being used."

"Ephraim's right," Rau said, agreeing with his old friend, "Other Mandalorians."

"Precision detonations, laser strikes from above," Rau said as he, Ezra, Sabine and Ephraim, who had their helmets back over their heads as they along with Chopper wandered around the Protectors' camp before he picked up the helmet of one of his Protectors, which had a blood stain over the front of the helmet, "Definitely a surprise attack by another clan."

"This seems awfully familiar," Ezra muttered as he recalled what happened to him, his parents and their clan on Tehron when he was five years old.

"Yeah, it does, son," Ephraim said, agreeing with him.

"From what you both and Mira have told me about the Massacre of Clan Bridger, this does resemble it in some way, aside from the disruptor rifles," Sabine stated, agreeing with her husband and father-in-law before turning back around towards the Protector, "Look, Rau-"

"This is all your fault!" Rau said as he snapped at them with anger in his voice as he turned around towards them, "If I'd been here instead of locked away by you and your rebels, I could have prevented this."

"We didn't mean for this to happen. You know that," Sabine told him, "They were our people, too."

"Yeah, it's not our fault any of this happened," Ezra said, agreeing with his wife.

"No, you couldn't, Rau," Ephraim told him, "When our clan was attacked on Tehron, me and Mira tried everything from stopping Governor Saxon and his Imperial super commandos from attacking and wiping out our clan on Ezra's fifth birthday, but no matter how hard we tried, he ended up wiping out our clan no matter what."

"Don't either of you talk about your people," Rau spat at them with anger in his voice, "What do you three know of loyalty?"

"We are not your enemy, Rau," Sabine assured him as she removed her helmet from her head before she gestured to the remnants of the Protectors' camp with her left hand for a second, "None of this makes any sense. Which of the clans has the power to do this? Who would want to?"

"Well, I know it wasn't Clans Fett, Ordo and Skirata," Ezra told them with sadness in his voice.

"You're right, Ezra," Ephraim said, agreeing with his son, "Clans Fett, Ordo and Skirata are known for their honor. This kind of attack… it's not their way. And Kal Skirata, he's a man of principle. He wouldn't stand for something like this."

"They're right, and besides the Protectors are loyal to the Throne," Sabine stated, agreeing with her husband and father-in-law as unbeknownst to them, an Imperial probe droid was listening in on their conversation from a distance behind them, "And they recruit the best warriors from within all the clans."

Chopper then grunted as he activated his transmitter as he picked up a signal from the Imperial probe droid in the distance behind them.

"Chopper's picking up a signal from over them," Ezra announced as he looked around before he saw the Imperial probe droid.

"I'm Imperial," Sabine said as she, Ezra and Ephraim placed their helmets back over their heads as she and Ephriam pulled out their WESTAR-35s and began to fire them at the Imperial probe droid as it began to fire its built-in blaster back at them, "It's trying to transmit."

"Let's get to cover," Ephraim suggested as they hid for cover behind containers next to one of the buildings within what was the Protector's camp before Ezra stood back up as he extended his right arm out towards the Imperial probe droid, trying to grab it with the Force.

"I can't hold it!" Ezra grunted as he struggled to grab the Imperial probe droid with the Force as Sabine and Ephraim began to fire at the Imperial probe droid again as they held one of their WESTAR-35s in their hands.

"Got it," Sabine said as she and Ephraim continued to fire their WESTAR-35s at the Imperial probe droid, "I got it!"

"That probe won't bother us again," Ephraim stated as the Imperial probe droid sparked with electricity and blew up as it fell to the ground in front of them.

"Think it got a signal out?" Ezra asked his wife as he crouched down towards the destroyed Imperial probe droid as she and Ephraim placed their WESTAR-35s back inside their armors' holsters.

"Well, we're either fine, or a few Star Destroyers are on their way," Sabine answered as Ezra stood back up, "You wanna wait and see?"

"Good point," Ezra said, knowing that his wife was right as he pointed at her with his right hand's index finger for a second, "We're leaving." Chopper then grunted a response as he activated his rocket booster as he began to fly away from the remnants of the Protectors' camp as Ezra walked away from them.

"Come on, Rau," Ephraim told Rau as he looked at him, "We have to go."

"I have no intention of leaving, and certainly not with the three of you," Rau said as he stepped forward.

"The Empire could be on their way right now," Sabine told him.

"I've dealt with them before, and I'll deal with them again," Rau stated as he began walking away from them, "But now, of course, I have the location of your rebel base as a bargaining chip. It's no less than the three of you deserve after causing all this."

"I can't let you do that," Sabine said as she pulled one of her WESTAR-35s out from its holster with her left hand and aimed it at him.

Chopper soon landed near the Phantom II as he deactivated his rocket booster and rolled up the shuttle's ramp before he entered the ship's cockpit as its console started beeping as it began flashing red, telling him that the Empire had already arrived.

"Uh-oh," Chopper grunted as he went to contact Ezra, Sabine and Ephraim with his built-in comlink.

"Sabine, wait," Ezra said, trying to stop his wife as he and his father saw her aiming one of her WESTAR-35s at Rau.

"Come with us," Ephraim pleaded with Rau when Ezra's wrist communicator suddenly beeped.

"Last chance, Rau," Sabine warned the Protector as Ezra clicked on his wrist's communicator with his right hand's index finger before Chopper began grunting from his wrist communicator.

"The Empire? Already?" Ezra said with disbelief in his voice as Sabine lowered her left arm and placed her WESTAR-35 back inside its holster as they along with Ephraim walked forward and flipped down their helmets' rangefinders.

They saw six figures flying towards them, wearing the armor of Imperial super commandos with five of them being painted all white and had oval-shaped jetpacks secured to their backs, which were painted in the same color scheme as their armor. The one in the center and above them was very recognizable as their armor was mostly white, with red accents around their chest and shoulders with a dark red undersuit that had the Imperial crest near the top of their shoulders. Their helmet was painted mostly red with it being white on both sides of the helmet as they all wielded blaster rifles in their hands.

"Saxon," Ezra muttered to himself as he, Sabine and Ephraim flipped their rangefinders back up.

"You're right, son," Ephraim said, agreeing with him, "That's Governor Saxon all right."

"Traitors who serve the Empire," Rau added as he stared at the six Imperial super commandos.

"Ezra, run!" Sabine warned her husband as she, Ephraim and Rau began to flee the area before Ezra did the same, but in the opposite direction of where his wife, father and Rau were going as Saxon and his Imperial super commandos landed in front of the destroyed Imperial probe droid.

"Spread out," Saxon ordered his Imperial super commandos as he held his blaster rifle upwards as he held it over his shoulder and as he said that, he and his Imperial super commandos began to spread out as they began to search for the rebels as he lowered his right arm as he held his blaster in both of his hands again.

Meanwhile back on the Phantom II, Chopper grunted as one of Saxon's Imperial super commandos walked up behind the astromech droid in the shuttle's cockpit, which he sensed as he turned around and grunted as he pulled both of his metal arms out from his dome and held them up as he surrendered to the Imperial super commando as they aimed their blaster rifle at him.

"Stay alert. They're around here somewhere," Saxon said as he and his Imperial super commandos continued to patrol the remnants of the Protectors' camp for the rebels and as Saxon began to walk past the area where Sabine, Ephraim and Rau were hiding, Ezra pulled out both of his WESTAR-35s from their holsters and fired them at him, causing Saxon to turn around and see him, "Get him!" Ezra then began to run away as Saxon and his Imperial super commandos began to chase him as they began firing their blaster rifles at him.

"Come on," Sabine told Rau as she wanted to save her husband.

"I agree with you, Sabine, but now's not the time," Ephraim stated as he looked at his daughter-in-law.

"He's right," Rau said, agreeing with his old friend, "His sacrifice saved us. Don't waste it."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Stop! I give up! Don't shoot!" Ezra pleaded as he held both of his hands up as Saxon and his Imperial super commandos began to surround him.

"We have to help him," Sabine pleaded with Rau as they stood near a few buildings within the Protectors' camp away from Saxon and his Imperial super commandos, "And Ephraim, shouldn't you be worried? Ezra's your son, who knows what Saxon will do to him."

"Sabine, you don't have to remind me that Ezra is my son. I'm well aware of the danger he's in," Ephraim told his daughter-in-law, "Saxon's a monster. We'll find a way to get Ezra back, and hopefully make sure that Saxon pays for what he did to Clan Bridger."

"Think, Sabine," Sau said as he turned around towards her, "Your only advantage is that they don't know about you yet."

"And if they knew about me, they might just kill me on the spot, given that I'm also someone who survived the Massacre of Clan Bridger," Ephraim added.

"You still have his lightsaber along with mine, Rau," Sabine reminded the Protector.

"That just might save his life and possibly yours if they had captured you as well," Rau stated.

"Saxon is cunning and ruthless. He knows our armor, he knows our clan. If he recognizes Ezra as a Bridger, he'll use him to get what he wants. And once he's done, he'll execute him without a second thought," Ephriam told his old friend, "We can't let that happen. We need to act fast, not just for Ezra, but for the memory of our clan. We can't let Saxon take anything more from us."

"I know, Ephraim, but right now, we don't have the advantage to rescue him," Rau stated, "Come. I know a place where we'll be safe and where we can watch them."

"Search the area," Saxon ordered his Imperial super commandos as he stood in front of Ezra, "I doubt he's alone."

"Governor," Ezra muttered with distaste in his voice as he looked up at Saxon.

"Indeed, Bridger, I am Gar Saxon, Imperial Viceroy of Mandalore," Saxon confirmed as he removed his helmet from his head with both of his hands, revealing that his hair had fully gone gray, "And you are now my prisoner."

A while later and outside one of the buildings of the remnants of the Protectors' camp, the Phantom II landed in front of it as the Imperial super commando that commandeered it walked down the shuttle's ramp as it lowered with Chopper in front of him as they began to head towards one of the buildings.

"How many are with you?" Saxon asked Ezra, who was on his knees with stuncuffs over his wrists and had his helmet removed with it being on a ledge behind Saxon, who had his helmet next to Ezra's with two of his Imperial super commandos standing on both sides of him.

"I'm here by myself," Ezra lied as the Imperial super commando that had captured Chopper walked up behind him with the astromech grunting at him, "I mean, except for my droid, and, uh, he doesn't really count." Chopper then grunted a scoff as he said that as the Imperial super commando began to walk towards Saxon.

"We checked the base," the Imperial super commando reported, "No sign of anyone else."

"See?" Ezra said, hoping that Saxon would believe him from the Imperial super commando.

"You'll excuse me if I don't take the word of a traitor to Mandalore," Saxon told him.

"I'm not the traitor to Mandalore, Saxon, it's you who is the traitor to Mandalore," Ezra stated with anger in his voice, "And I'm not part of any rebellion. I'm a Dar'manda. I told you. I'm a scavenger. Part of Hondo Ohnaka's crew. He'll vouch for me."

"Traitor? Oh, I don't think so," Saxon told him, sarcastically with a smile on his face, "I've served Mandalore in ways you can't even comprehend, Bridger. The Empire is fully aware rebels have been using the system as a thruway to avoid patrols in this sector."

"I don't care about that," Ezra stated, "I just came here looking to salvage some spare parts."

"You're dealing with your fellow Mandalorians now, child, not some Imperial officer fresh out of the Academy," Saxon reminded him.

"Saxon, I didn't even know our home world of Mandalore was part of the Empire," Ezra said, lying to him, thinking that his home planet wasn't part of the Empire when he already knew that it was.

"Search his ship. Maybe we'll find the truth there," Saxon ordered the Imperial super commando that was on the right side of him before they began to leave the building as they walked past Ezra, "Until then, perhaps target practice with your droid will encourage you to talk." He then aimed his blaster rifle at Chopper, causing the astromech droid to grunt a response.

"Look, Governor, Sir. Shooting at my droid ain't gonna get you any answer," Ezra told Saxon as the Imperial super commando left the building to search the Phantom II for the answers Saxon was searching for.

Meanwhile outside the building, Sabine and Ephraim had their helmets' rangefinder flipped down to scout the building where Saxon and his Imperial super commandos were interrogation Ezra with their left knees bent on the ground, while Rau had the helmet of one of his fallen Protectors removed from his head and held it in his left hand as they watched one of the Imperial super commandos exit the building and began walking towards the Phantom II.

"We're going back," Sabine told Rau.

"For Ezra?" Rau said with disbelief in his voice, "Why?"

"For one reason, he's my husband," she answered as she flipped her helmet's rangefinder back up, "Two, Ezra can take care of himself. And three, he's a Mandalorian like us and family to me and family is important to all Mandalorians. But the Phantom has our base coordinates on board. We cannot let the Empire get their hands on that."

"And he's my son," Ephraim added as he flipped his helmet's rangefinder back up as well, "We can't just leave him here."

"You think I actually care about him, despite being a Mandalorian and a traitor to Mandalore, like you are, Sabine, or your rebels?" Rau scoffed, "To think the Protectors fell to these traitors."

"The leader… you guys called him Saxon, didn't you?" Sabine recalled, "The same one that orchestrated the Massacre of Clan Bridger?"

"Indeed, Sabine," Ephraim confirmed.

"And he's Clan Vizsla, like the two of you and Ezra," Rau added, "His name is Gar Saxon. He wanted to be our ruler, but he had no honor."

"That's why the Empire put him in charge," Sabine realized.

"You think you and Ezra are any better than him?" Rau said with disbelief in his voice, "Everything that's happened here is because of you rebels."

"Okay, look. You may not like it, but we need each other. Help us get our ship, get Ezra, and then we'll all get out of here together," Sabine bargained, "Deal?"

"You want to get yourself killed trying to rescue your husband with Ephraim? Be my guest," Rau said, refusing her offer, "All I care about is making Saxon and his traitors pay. But now's not the time for that."

"It's not about revenge, Rau. It's about family," Ephraim interjected, "And right now, our family needs us."

"Well, I'm not after revenge. Just my husband," Sabine assured the Protector.

Chopper continued to grunt with both of his metal arms out as Saxon continued to aim his blaster rifle at him before he fired it at him, only for him to miss before Chopper grunted again.

"I'll tell you the truth. I promise, okay?" Ezra told Saxon before the Mandalorian governor held his blaster rifle up as Ezra sighed, "My name is Canderous Ordo. I'm a smuggler. I heard there was lost treasure here. I made a deal with pirates, okay? I swear."

"Every lie you tell holds a shred of truth," Saxon stated as he walked next to him, "You're giving me what I want to know, whether you realize it or not. Besides, I know you're not Canderous Ordo, he has been dead for millenia."

"You have to believe me," Rau heard Ezra said from the built-in comlink of one of his fallen Protectors after he placed it over his head again as it had static coming from it before it hit the right side of the helmet with his right hand, causing the static to go away as he, Sabine and Ephraim hid near the building that Ezra was being held captive within.

"I believe you've run out of lies," Saxon retorted from the built-in comlink from the helmet of one of the fallen Protectors.

"Set frequency to 337," Rau ordered Sabine and Ephraim before they did just that with their helmets' built-in comlink to listen in on Saxon's interrogation of Ezra.

"Blast the droid," Saxon ordered his Imperial super commando that was standing next to him as he kicked Ezra in the back with his right leg, causing him to fall on his stomach before sitting back up as the Imperial super commando aimed their blaster rifle at Chopper, who now had his metal arms placed back inside his dome, "Perhaps its memory circuits hold the secrets I want."

"Okay! Okay!" Ezra said as he didn't want them to terminate Chopper as he sighed, "I was sent here by the Protector, Fenn Rau."

"You know where he is, then?" Saxon asked him.

"I don't. But I sure wish I did," Ezra answered.

"Is that so?" Saxon asked him with disbelief in his voice, "You know, I planned to strike this base and destroy these defiant Protectors for some time, like I did with you Bridgers ten years ago on Tehron. Missing Fenn Rau was disappointing."

"But his absence did make the destruction of his men… easier," Saxon went on from the built-in comlink of the helmet one of the fallen Protectors that Rau was wearing over his head as both Sabine and Ephraim heard the same thing from the built-in comlinks of their helmets.

"I have been waiting for Rau to return. I only allowed rebel ships to move through Concord Dawn to lure him back. But now, I have you," Saxon stated as he picked him up from the collar of his armor with his left hand as he lifted him up from the floor, "And I think you know exactly where Rau is! And you will take me to him."

"He was going to kill us anyway," Rau said in a saddened tone and expression as he, Sabine and Ephraim removed their helmets from their heads, "Like he did with Clan Bridger."

"Rau, I'm sorry," Sabine told him, feeling bad for what happened to his fellow Protectors.

"As am I, Rau," Ephraim said, agreeing with him as he looked at his old friend, "But no matter what, we along with the others will avenge them for what Saxon did to your Protectors."

"Sabine, had you, Ezra and your Jedi not captured me, I'd be dead alongside my men, executed by the Empire," Rau sighed as he grabbed Ezra's lightsaber along with hers from his undersuit's belt and handed them to her, "A truce then, for now. You both go get your husband and son, I'll secure our ship."

"Thank you," Sabine said as she took her lightsaber from him and clipped it to her armor's belt before doing the same with her husband's as well, "First, let's thin them out and get you a weapon."

"Yeah, let's thin them out and get you a weapon, Rau," Ephraim stated, agreeing with his daughter-in-law.

"I like the way you both think," Rau told them as they placed their helmets back over their heads before Rau knocked one of Saxon's Imperial super commandos that were patrolling the area out, causing them to grunt as he hid their body behind one of the buildings within the ramp and took their blaster rifle from them.

"Oh! Been wanting one of these," Sabine chuckled as she grabbed the Imperial super commando's jetpack from their back and secured it onto her back with it powering up.

"Looks like you finally have a jetpack of your own, Sabine," Ephraim stated,"I hope you'll know how to use it."

"I sure do, Ephraim," Sabine assured him, "Mother taught me and Sasha to use them before I went to the Imperial Academy on Mandalore."

Rau then ran in a separate direction of Sabine and Ephraim as he went to free the Phantom II from the Imperial super commandos.

Rau hid behind one of the buildings near the Phantom II as he held the blaster rifle that he had taken from the Imperial super commando that he had knocked out a few moments ago as he watched one of Saxon's Imperial super commandos walk up the shuttle's ramp before he sneaked aboard the shuttle.

As the Protector boarded the shuttle, he moved stealthily as he slowly walked towards the Imperial super commando, who was now sitting on the pilot seat of the shuttle's cockpit.

Just as Rau was about to reach the Imperial super commando, they sensed him and quickly turned around towards the Protector and kicked Rau's thigh with their right knee before headbutting Rau with their helmet, causing Rau to drop his blaster rifle.

Rau then punched the Imperial super commando with his right fist in the helmet before he went to grab their blaster rifle as they struggled to let go of it before Rau elbowed them in the neck with his right arm and kicked them in their right shin with his right leg, causing them to grunt as they fell to the floor on their stomach and behind Rau.

The Protector then punched them in the helmet again with his right fist, knocking them out this time.

"Where is he?!" Saxon demanded Ezra as he threw him back on the floor and back on his stomach.

"I don't know!" Ezra answered before Saxon lifted him back up from the floor and threw him across the room before he aimed his blaster rifle at Chopper, who pulled both of his metal arms back out of his dome and grunted with fear in his voice.

As Saxon went to fire his blaster rifle at the astromech, Ezra extended his hands out towards Chopper as he used the Force to deflect Saxon's blaster bolt.

"Whoa," Chopper grunted with relief in his voice as Saxon looked surprised before aiming it at him again as Ezra extended his hands out towards the astromech again as he used the Force to deflect Saxon's blaster bolt again, but as he did this, Saxon looked at his blaster rifle for a second before he looked at Ezra and saw how his hands were gestured before Ezra reopened his eyes as the Mandalorian governor cocked and aimed his blaster rifle at him as he realized what he was aside from being a survivor of the Massacre of Clan Bridger.

"You just became a much more valuable captive to execute, Mandalorian Jedi," Saxon told him when thermal detonators were suddenly thrown into the room as they beeped for a second, "Get back!"

"I can't see!" One of the Imperial super commandos stated as smoke appeared from the thermal detonators, causing the smoke to fill the entire room.

"Where's my helmet?" Saxon asked as they all began to cough.

"Get up! Come on!" Sabine told her husband as she and Ephraim entered the building as she approached him, while Ephraim grabbed Ezra's helmet from the ledge next to Saxon's before she grabbed Ezra by his right wrist with her right hand as she pulled him up and out of the building with Chopper following them.

"Here, Ezra," Ephraim said as he handed him his helmet.

"Thanks, Dad," Ezra replied as he took his helmet from him and placed it back over his head, "What took you guys so long?"

"We were using strategy. It takes longer," Sabine answered as she grabbed her lightsaber from her armor's belt and ignited its blade and used it to cut her husband's stuncuffs with them deactivating as she deactivated her lightsaber and clipped it back onto her armor's belt as she handed Ezra back his lightsaber.

Back inside the building, the smoke cleared as Saxon grabbed his helmet from the ledge and placed it back over his head before he left the building to follow Ezra, Sabine and Ephraim.

"Rau should already be in the ship," Sabine stated as she, Ezra and Ephraim continued heading towards the Phantom II with Chopper when the shuttle suddenly lifted off from the ground.

"Oh, he's in the ship, all right," Ezra muttered, sarcastically as he looked at his wife, "How's strategy working out for us?"

"Well, it looks like Rau had second thoughts," Ephraim stated as they continued to watch the Phantom II fly away from the remnants of the Protectors' camp.

"Not so great," Sabine answered as Chopper grunted and rolled backwards between the three Mandalorians as he pulled both of his metal arms out from his dome and held them up in a surrender-like manner.

Ezra, Sabine and Ephraim then turned around with Ezra grabbing his lightsaber from his armor's belt and ignited one of its blades as they saw three Imperial super commandos running towards them with Ephraim pulling his WESTAR-35s out from their holsters as Saxon used his jetpack to fly towards them before landing a few feet away from the rebels.

"Sabine Wren," Saxon said, greeting Sabine before looking at Ephraim and Ezra, "And you two must be, Baron Ephriam Bridger and Ezra Bridger, the heir of Clan Bridger."

"Even though I've heard about you from Ezra and Ephraim here along with Mira, I don't know you," Sabine told the Mandalorian governor.

"Well, I know you and all about how you've joined the Phoenix Squadron," Saxon stated, "I also know that your mother is looking for you."

"Don't believe him," Sabine muttered to her husband and father-in-law.

"Sabine never told either of you about her family?" Saxon said with disbelief in his voice, "Well. She lies as well as you, boy. Her own mother stands with me and the Empire now."

"I doubt you gave her much choice, traitor," Sabine told him, causing the Imperial super commandos to cock their blaster rifles.

"I've met Ursa, Governor," Ephraim stated, "She would never side with the Empire unless she had to in order to ensure the safety of Clan Wren after what you did to Clan Bridger on Tehron."

"She came around herself after you abandoned the Imperial Academy, Sabine," Saxon explained, "Your cowardice shamed your family's name and standing. Had you honored your commitment, you could be wearing this armor now."

"Sorry, Saxon. I like a little more color," Sabine told him.

"You think yourselves loyalists? Saxon asked them, "The Empire will make Mandalore stronger than ever before, even stronger than Manda'lor the Ultimate's rule during the Mandalorian Wars."

"The only one who's gotten stronger under the Empire is you," Sabine retorted.

"Out of respect for your family, Sabine. I'll give you a choice," Saxon told her, "Give me Fenn Rau and swear allegiance, or you and your friends right now."

"I yield," Sabine said after a few seconds of silence.

"Sabine, don't," Ezra protested.

"Yeah, Sabine, don't do it," Ephraim said, agreeing with his son, "He won't keep his word."

"We have no choice," Sabine explained before she removed her helmet from her head and handed it to Chopper, who took it with his left metal arm as he pulled it out from his dome, "On my mark, send feedback to frequency 337." She then got on her knees as Ezra deactivated one of his lightsaber's blades and clipped it back onto his armor's belt with Ephraim placing his WESTAR-35s back in their holsters and switched his helmet's frequency away from 337 as Saxon began to approach them.

"Say it," Saxon ordered her as he threateningly aimed his blaster rifle at her.

"I swear… that you're a fool!" She told him before turning around towards Chopper, "Chopper, now!"

"Whoa," Chopper grunted as he used Sabine's helmet to send feedback to every Mandalorian helmet that was tuned in on frequency 337, causing Saxon and his Imperial super commandos to clutch their helmets in pain as they groaned and fell to the ground as Chopper threw Sabine back her helmet with his left metal arm as she placed it back over her head.

"Time to go!" Sabine told her husband and father-in-law as she activated her jetpack's thrusters.

"Good job, Sabine," Ezra stated with relief and admiration in his voice, "Always full of surprises."

"Yeah, that was a well, executed plan, Sabine," Ephraim told his daughter-in-law as he and Ezra activated their jetpacks' thrusters as well and flew away from Saxon and his Imperial super commandos before Chopper activated his rocket booster as he began to follow them.

As the feedback that Chopper sent to the helmets of Saxon and his Imperial super commandos ended, the Mandalorian governor aimed his blaster rifle at the rebels and began firing it at them, only for his blaster bolts to miss them.

"I want those rebels alive!" Saxon ordered his Imperial super commandos as he stopped firing his blaster rifle at the rebels and turned around towards them.

As the Phantom II was leaving the system of Concord Dawn, Rau was sitting in the shuttle's pilot seat within the cockpit and placed his right hand over the Hyperdriver lever as he began contemplating on leaving Ezra, Ephraim and Sabine, the two young Mandalorians have shown him that they are as much of Mandalorians as he was, even if they've been training to become Jedi, and that Ephraim was still the same person since he left the Protectors to marry Mira and start a family all those years ago before the Clone Wars broke out.

Ezra, Ephraim, Sabine and Chopper were being chased by Saxon and his Imperial super commandos as they flew through and above a canyon on Concord Dawn's third moon with their jetpacks.

"So, what's your strategy for this, Sabine?" Ezra asked his wife as he noticed that Saxon and his Imperial super commandos were chasing them.

"Yeah, how do we escape from them, Sabine?" Ephraim said, agreeing with his son.

"They must have a ship nearby," Sabine answered before she looked at Chopper, "Chopper, find it." The astromech droid then grunted a response as he flew ahead of them.

"Make it quick, Chop. Our evil cousins are coming," Ezra told the astromech droid as he saw that Saxon and his Imperial super commandos were catching up to them with the corner of his eye, "They're flying faster than us."

"Let's try to use the canyon to evade them," Ephraim suggested.

"Good idea, Dad," Ezra told his father.

"Yeah, great suggestion, Ephraim," Sabine said, agreeing with her husband.

The four of them then flew down into the canyon, hoping to lose Saxon and his Imperial super commandos, only for Saxon and his Imperial super commandos to continue following them with their jetpacks and began firing upon them with their blaster rifles.

"Ezra, Ephraim, are you both thinking what I'm thinking?" Sabine asked her husband and father-in-law.

"Firing back at them? Yeah," Ezra answered.

"I had the exact same thought," Ephraim said, agreeing with them as the three of them turned around and began flying backwards through the canyon as they pulled their WESTAR-35s from their holsters.

The three of them then began firing them back at Saxon and his Imperial super commandos and within a few moments of firing at them, one of Ezra's blaster bolts collided with the jetpack of one of the Imperial super commandos, causing it to short circuit as they flew towards one of the canyon's cliff and fell to the ground below as Ezra, Ephraim and Sabine turned back around.

"Cut them off," Saxon ordered one of his three remaining Imperial super commandos as they flew ahead and began to fire upon them with their blaster rifle as Sabine placed her left WESTAR-35 back in its holster and pulled out three thermal detonators and flung them onto a cliff next to her, Ezra and Ephraim as they flew past it, which immediately blew up as they latched onto the cliff, causing it to fall and taking one of the Imperial super commandos out.

"Nice work back there," Ezra told his wife.

"Indeed, well done, Sabine," Ephraim said, agreeing with his son as they flew around a corner from their pursuers in the canyon as Saxon began to open fire upon them with his blaster rifle again, causing Sabine to pull her left WESTAR-35 back out with her left hand as she, Ezra and Ephraim turned back around.

The three of them then began firing their blasters upon them again and within a few seconds of firing their WESTAR-35s upon Saxon and his two remaining Imperial super commandos, one of Sabine's blaster bolts collided with the chest of one of the Imperial super commandos, killing them instantly as they fell down towards the canyon's ground below before their jetpack exploded.

"Tell me we're close," Ezra said as he turned back around.

"Let's just hope that we are," Ephraim muttered as he turned back around as well.

"Chopper?" Sabine asked the astromech droid as she also turned back around before he grunted a response, "It's just up ahead."

As the three Mandalorians and Chopper began to approach a plateau, where Saxon's gauntlet fighter was landed on top of, the only remaining Imperial super commando appeared from the other side of them and began firing their blaster rifle at Sabine, causing her to fly into her husband and father-in-law with Ezra crashing into Chopper as the four of them crash landing onto the plateau below with the three Mandalorians dropping their WESTAR-35s on the plateau.

The Imperial super commando soon landed in front of them as they kicked one of Sabine's WESTAR-35s away with their right foot as Ezra, Sabine and Ephraim stood up before Chopper rotated his struts around as he stood back up as well.

"Finish the Bridgers," Saxon ordered his Imperial super commando as he landed next to them on the plateau and aimed his blaster rifle at Sabine, "Wren is mine."

"Gar Saxon!" They suddenly heard Rau's voice call out to the Mandalorian governor as he and his Imperial super commando turned around and saw the Phantom II hovering behind them as they aimed their blaster rifles at the Sheathipede-class shuttle, "Those three are under my protection."

"Rau," Saxon said with anger in his voice as he and his Imperial super commando fired their blaster rifles at the Phantom II before Rau fired the Phantom II's laser cannons at them as Ezra used the Force to grab both of his WESTAR-35s and placed them back in their holsters before grabbing his lightsaber from his armor's belt and reignited one of its blades as Ephraim grabbed both of his WESTAR-35s and placed them back in their holsters as well before Rau piloted the shuttle behind Ezra, Ephraim and Sabine as he lowered its ramp and opened its rear entrance.

"Ezra, Ephraim, go," Sabine urged her husband and father-in-law as they reactivated their jackpacks' thrusters, "I'm right behind the two of you." Saxon then reactivated his jetpack's thruster and grabbed onto Sabine from behind, tracking her to the ground as Ezra and Ephraim landed on the Phantom II's ramp as they deactivated their jetpacks, while Chopper landed inside the shuttle's astromech socket.

"Sabine!" Ezra said, calling out to his wife as he extended his left hand out towards her as if to reach her.

"Don't worry, Ezra, we'll get her back," Ephraim assured him as Rau looked at them with the corner of his eyes for a second before he began to swoop the Sheathipede-class shuttle back around.

"You're not going anywhere, traitor. I'll hand you in to the Empire," Saxon told Sabine before she kicked him in the helmet with her left leg, causing him to grunt as he let go of her as she stood back up and kicked him in the right arm with her left leg as he backed away as he aimed his blaster rifle at her before she kicked it away from him with her with her left leg as she grunted before she punched him in the chest with her right fist.

Ezra and Ephraim had their helmets removed their their heads with Ezra having his lightsaber deactivated and clipped back onto his armor's belt as he and Ephraim reentered the Phantom II's cockpit with the former Protector sitting back down on the shuttle's co-pilot seat as the Imperial super commando began firing their blaster rifle at the shuttle.

The Imperial super commando then reactivated their jetpack's thruster and began flying away, only to stop as they landed on their stomach on the ground as Rau narrowed his eyes and began firing the shuttle's laser cannons at Saxon's Gauntlet fighter and destroying it instantly.

"Yahoo!" Chopper grunted, excitedly as he pulled both of his metal arms out of his dome and spun them around in a circle.

Back on the ground below, Saxon went to punch Sabine, only for her to evade him before jumping onto his back, causing his jetpack to short circuit as it began to spark with electricity. He then threw her across from him as he looked at his malfunctioning jetpack with the corner of his eye.

Sabine quickly recovered and stood back up as she assumed a Mandalorian combat stance. As Saxon went to punch her with his right hand, she dodged his attack and moved behind him. He then tried to kick her in the chest with his right foot, only for her to remain still and not move. She then kicked him to the ground with her left foot, causing him to begin sliding off the plateau.

As the Phantom II continued to fly back towards Sabine, Saxon picked his blaster rifle up with his hands and aimed it at the Sheathipede-class shuttle and fired it at it and kicked him backwards with her right foot, knocking the blaster rifle out of his hands.

Sabine then reactivated her jetpack's thruster and began flying back towards the Phantom II as Ezra was now standing on the sheathipede-class shuttle's ramp and as she neared the shuttle, Saxon picked his blaster pistol back up with his right hand before holding it in both of his hands and fired it at her jetpack, damaging it and causing her to begin falling towards the ground.

Both Ezra and Sabine yelped with surprise as he saw his wife falling and grabbed her left hand with his right hand.

"They shot my jetpack!" Sabine told him as he pulled her back up.

As Sabine stood next to Ezra, he placed his right hand over the left pauldron of her armor as Saxon lowered his blaster rifle as he watched the Phantom II leave the third moon of Concord Dawn.

"I really thought you left us," Sabine told Rau as she removed her helmet from her head as she walked past her husband, who was leaning against one of the walls in the passenger area of the shuttle after the Phantom II's rear entrance closed and its ramp was inserted back inside the shuttle as she stood next to Ephraim.

"I considered it," Rau stated as he set the shuttle's coordinates with his right hand's index and middle fingers, "Then I realized you were willing to die for your people, Sabine, you too Ezra for nearly sacrificing yourself as well." He then looked at Ephraim, "And Ephraim, you're still the same man as you were when you were a Protector." He then stared at both young Mandalorians, "You both haven't forgotten our ways. That has earned my respect."

"Rau, we may have chosen different paths, but at the end of the day, we're still Mandalorians. We fight for our people, for our families, and for what we believe in," Ephraim reminded him, "That's what makes us who we are. It's not about forgetting or remembering our ways, it's about honoring them in everything we do."

"You're absolutely right, Ephraim," Rau said, agreeing with him.

"Like I said earlier about some people probably not getting the whole fighting part of our culture, I bet some people would consider us Mandalorians crazy as well," Ezra told them.

"Crazy enough to join you," Rau chuckled, agreeing with them as he was ready to join the Rebellion.

"Honestly?" Sabine asked him as she looked at him with surprise in her voice.

"If you'll have me," Rau confirmed.

"It'll be nice to have another Mandalorian besides us and Mom," Ezra stated, "And I'd rather have you with us than against us."

"I'm sure Mira will be glad to have you with us, Rau," Ephraim told his old friend with a smile on his face, "We've all seen the strength of your character today."

"Welcome to the family," Sabine said, welcoming Rau into the Rebellion into the Rebellion as he pulled the Phantom II's Hyperdrive lever forward as they began to leave the system of Concord Dawn.
