Wynnt'r: Howdy everyone! I am pleased to show this new project I was working on. A Kamen Rider Zero-One x High School DxD. Hopefully I did well and you guys can enjoy it. Now, enough blabbing, time to get this show on the road!
Disclaimer: I do not own Kamen Rider Zero-One (nor its franchise) and High School DxD (nor its franchise). Those belong to their respective owners and associations. I am just a fan of both wishing to cross them over. All I have is this story idea.
Progrise! I'm Not a Devil nor a Dragon, I Am the Ark and the Kamen Rider!
Prologue/Teaser Trailer
The Church's Outskirts - Kuoh, Japan
Rias Gremory's power skyrocketed at she deflected three different colored light spears. Her hair risen and flowed vertically as she's covered in a red aura.
"He's not a joke. No one laughs at my servants." Rias coldly said to the three fallen angels.
The three fallen angels: Mittelt, Kalawarner, and Dohnaseek gasped at her increasing power.
"Look what you did now." Akeno giggled. "Maybe it wasn't a good idea to taunt her like that." Rias opened her eyes, "whoopsie on you." A dark black-red ball was conjured from her hands, rapidly expanding towards the three, soon-to-be-dead, fallen angels. The light was rapidly engulfing them, Akeno noticed something in the purple sky high above them.
It appeared to be a white meteor and was descending rapidly; it approached them closer and closer until-
WOOSH! BOOM!
It interrupted her attack, having crashed down in the middle between Rias and the Fallen Angels. A cloud of dust kicked up, making it harder to see between the combatants.
"What the hell was that?" Mittelt shouted.
"Whatever it was just saved our lives!" Dohnaseek slightly hyperventilated.
Kalawarner narrowed her eyes, her heart beated quickly. He was right, if it wasn't for that meteorite, all three would have died by Rias's attack. Her life, unironically, flashed before her eyes.
"Ara, another enemy or a friendly?" Akeno licked her lips.
The cloud went away to reveal an unidentified armored warrior: he had a black bodysuit with white armor pieces on his arms, forearms and boots. The chest piece was primarily white with a red "X" across his chest. His right eye is black while the left one is red. He is Kamen Rider Ark-One.
He looked in the church's direction, then at Rias and Akeno, then at the Fallen Angels, then in front of him. He opened and closed his hands. Both sides didn't make a single move, they can feel it. For Rias, it was a very familiar power she knew extremely well. A dark, malicious destructive power leaking from him.
"Who are you? What you doing in my territory?!" Rias pointed a ball of destruction at him.
"I am... the Ark." His voice was distorted.
"As in the Lord's Ark?" Mittelt repeated.
Rias and Akeno flinched as they grabbed their head in discomfort.
"I follow my own will, not His." A surge of energy shot up like a geyser, Ark-One looked back at the direction of the church. "… Gremory heiress."
A bead of sweat ran down the side of her face. "Yes?"
"Your pawn needs help." Ark-One did not bother to pay attention to her. "Go."
"Hold it!" Kalawarner spoke up, "how dare you take His name in vain and let the devils go!" She conjured a light spear in her hand.
Ark-One looked at Kalawarner, correction, he stared into her eyes. Kalawarner flinched, she can feel her soul bare naked in front of this man. Her cheeks turned a slight shade of red.
"Hey Kalawarner!" Dohnaseek called out.
His voice snapped her out of the temporary embarrassing state.
"Who are you to tell me what to do?" Rias asked him!
Ark-One did not say anything.
"Buchou." Akeno grabbed her arm, she took Rias with her.
They quickly flew towards the church. Ark-One looked at their retreating form. 'Devils…'
"Oh no you don't!" Kalawarner pulled her spear back, she was about to throw it when she felt her spear stuck in place. "What?" She turned around, Ark-One held the light spear in place. 'How can he hold my light spear?!'
"How the hell are you doing that?" Mittelt shouted what Kalawarner was thinking.
"Are you some sort of Stray Devil?" Dohnaseek asked him.
Ark-One didn't say anything, he kept staring at Kalawarner.
"W-what?" Kalawarner asked him, when he didn't answer back she glared. "Why are you silent?!" She became annoyed that all he had done was stare at her. "And why are you staring at me like that you damn Stray?! Do you want my number or something?"
"… Sure." He said.
RECORD SCRATCH!
The three fallen angels jaw dropped! Kalawarner's face turned red, a mixture of disbelief, embarrassment and anger! Mittelt's expression became a childish smirk, as if she held the juiciest piece of gossip to tease her teammate. Dohnaseek blinked every now and then.
"You. You." Kalawarner's voice was too quiet. "YOU FUCKING BASTARD! I'LL KILL YOU!" She conjured another golden light spear in her hand, thinking he's fucking with her. It stabbed- no, it was not penetrating through his armor chest piece. "Grrrr-"
Ark-One swatted her spear away and turned around to grab Mittelt's pink spear. Unlike Kalawarner's, he crushed Mittelt's pink light spear in his hand. Dohnaseek charged at him swinging. Ark-One blocked his attack with his gauntlet, he gathered malicious energy into his foot and kicked in the chest. He sent him crashing into the tree.
"Ack!" He coughed up blood, "what p-power!"
Ark-One was standing with one foot extended since he kicked the fallen angel away. Mittelt and Kalawarner gasped as their teammate was injured with just one kick. The two kept swinging (and firing) their light spears at him but Ark-One dodged them with ease. To make it more infuriating for the two girls, he didn't move from his spot. He used the most effective and minimal movements as possible.
"Hold. Still!" Mittelt pointed a hand in front of his face. He flicked her wrist up, her pink spear firing into the sky. He pulled her closer and tripped her feet. "Whoa!" She closed her eyes, expecting a strike but instead her flipped her and made her land on her butt. She looked at Ark-One, wondering why he didn't hurt her.
Kalawarner attempted to stab him again. The same result occurred, she gritted her teeth, wanting to pierce through. The light spear began cracking until it shattered like glass. "I-impossible."
Ark-One delivered a punch. She saw it about to hit her in the face, she closed her eyes thinking this was the end… It never came. She slightly opened one eye; his fist lingered in front of her face. She looked into his lenses. There was something about this masked warrior, a mysterious yet sincere aura despite its malicious power. She wanted to see the man behind the mask.
"Wh-" She was embraced in his arms.
"Look out!" Ark-One jumped out of the way from blue light spears raining down from the sky. They bombarded the spot where he was standing.
"Take that you fucking abomination!" Dohnaseek shouted.
Once the bombardment stopped, Dohnaseek realized that Ark-One was gone. Dohnaseek turned to his left, Ark-One escaped unharmed. He held Kalawarner in a one arm hug and Mittelt under his other arm like a football. He gently released the two beauties.
"That idiot almost killed us in the crossfire!" Mittelt grumbled, glaring daggers at Donhaseek.
"You protected us from harm?" Kalawarner asked.
"Are you okay bijo?" Ark-One asked.
'B-b-bijo?' Kalawarner blushed. She crossed her arms to maintain her composure, "yes. Thank you."
Dohnaseek appeared behind him!
"Watch-" Her caution was unnecessary as Ark-One's hand reached, clamping Dohnaseek's face in a vice grip and slammed him into the ground. A web of cracks formed from the impact.
"Kala-san?" Mittelt was shocked.
She's not the only one, Kalawarner brought up her hand to cover her mouth with her fingertips. 'Why did I warn him?'
"Hey." Ark-One's voice cut her thoughts. "Apologize." He looked at Dohnaseek.
Dohnaseek's "what" was muffled. Ark-One tighten his grip. "A-po-lo-gize." A malicious growl came out of him. "You could have hurt her." He lifted him up by the head.
"K-K-K-Kalawarner-san! F-f-f-f-forgive me! Please!" Dohnaseek cried out.
Kalawarner was stunned by Ark-One's mannerisms (and his slight favoritism towards her). "Apology accepted." She softly muttered. She pointed a spear at Ark-One, "now release him."
Ark-One let him go, Dohnaseek fell face first. Mittelt stifled a laugh. "Sorry." She felt Kalawarner's glare.
Ark-One turned his attention to the sanctuary. "…"
"Hey hey, you're a rather interesting Devil aren't you?" Mittelt flew in front of him. "No devil would ever say His name as their title." She got close to him with a toothy grin.
He walked over to Kalawarner. She held the spear by her side, ready to strike (no matter how unmatched she was). He was within her range, a mere few inches away. He brought his head, specifically his gaze, down to her side. Kalawarner followed his line of sight, she had an injury on her lower left side, courtesy of Rias's attack.
'That Gremory child…' Kalawarner frowned, she suddenly winced. Ark-One gently touched her side, and the golden light spear at his neck. "How dare you?!"
"You're hurt." Ark-One said, a hint of softness in his distorted voice.
"What?" Kalawarner slowly pulled away her spear, but not fully so she can counterattack. This was the second time he was in close proximity but chose not to attack her.
He took out an extremely strange briefcase device: very small, filled with a green liquid and fits in the small of his hand. He pressed a button; a nozzle extended out, and a trigger popped out. "It's a healing potion." Ark-One informed her.
"Bullshit! No potion looks that advanced! And why should I believe you?" Kalawarner questioned him.
"I don't want to hurt you." Ark-One answered. He sprayed the potion before she can even stop him. Her discolored bruise was returning to her natural skin color. He stood up and noticed a few burnt marks on her wing. Ark-One surmised that she attempted to shield herself from the blast. What a stupid move. His hand reached out to touch her wings, but she immediately pulled them in closer as if it was a blanket.
'W-w-w-what are you doing?" She covered herself with her wings.
He still held his hand out, and gestured "trust me."
Kalawarner relaxed and unfolded her wings a bit. His fingers ran softly along the upper edge (trailing from radius to the humerus). Her wing flinched. Her face betrayed her with an embarrassing look. He used the spray on the affected area of her wing.
"Pfft." Mittelt couldn't hold her laugh. "Well now Kala-san! I didn't think you'd be smitten by this handsome devil!"
"M-Mittelt!" Kalawarner went bright red, one could say as red as the Gremory's heiress hair. This mysterious masked warrior's unique aura and personality was somehow providing her tranquility. Ark-One tended to her wing and a few singed feathers; he was done.
"How do you feel?" Ark-One asked her.
Kalawarner moved her injured wing, "… better." She wanted to say "thank you" but the words refused to come out. Ark-One placed his hand on her shoulder, the two of them locked eyes once again. She can tell that he's comforting her. That if she doesn't feel right in thanking him yet, than to relax. He will take her health as a side of thanks. Kalawarner gave him a smile as thanks.
Ark-One went to Mittelt, he lifted her skirt. "You pervert!" She instinctively slapped him across the face. "Ow! Damn it!" She held her hand in pain.
He mentally chuckled. He used a second spray on a wound her left thigh had. Mittelt shivered, the contents of the healing potion were cold. She fidgeted nervously for obvious reasons. If he was sprayed the potion a few more inches to right he would moisten her Nirvana. She didn't notice her wrist bandaged. He tended to her while her eyes were closed.
Ark-One finished tending to the two ladies. He began walking over to the sanctuary, his pace paused. He looked over his shoulder back at Kalawarner and Mittelt. "Kalawarner-hime was it?"
Kalawarner sputtered. "Uh-wh-uh-… uh…~"
"Yep that's correct." Mittelt laughed, unfazed by the glare Kalawarner shot her with.
"…" Ark-One pondered on how to say it, he shouldn't have intervened but deep down, he felt it was the right thing to do. "Your orders to kill Hyoudou Issei were forged."
"What?" Kalawarner snapped her head back to him. Even Mittelt stopped laughing.
"It's a fake." Ark-One said. "A fool's errand."
"Impossible!" Kalawarner exclaimed, "that order came from Azazel-sama!"
"Yeah! Are you trying to imply that Azazel-sama sent us to die?!" Mittelt glared at him.
"No, he would not." Ark-One answered. "It is not in his nature."
"Damn devil, you shall-"
"But!" With a single word, he reigned in the conversation. "Neither is attacking humans. He cares deeply for his fellow Fallen Angels. Azazel is also very compassionate he does whatever he can to help people in need. Does he not?"
"That's true." Mittelt said. "He does care about us, although maybe too much when it comes to women."
"…" Ark-One mentally facepalmed.
"What is your point?" Kalawarner asked him.
Ark-One faced them, "the face that I'm informing you two about the falsified order. If I was lying to you, then I wouldn't have intervened in your certain demise. In addition, Azazel is known for his compassionate nature, which is a certain." He held up two fingers. "Two questions must be asked. The answer will reveal their truths. One: Did Azazel sent you all to die? Two: Were the orders falsified?"
Kalawarner and Mittelt looked at each other; Mittelt bit her lip and looked up. Kalawarner crossed her arms and closed her eyes, thinking.
"If you two believe that he would never sent you to die, you must assume that he never wanted to have a human killed. And if that's the case, who is the true culprit?"
Kalawarner and Mittlet gasped, "then that means, someone else changed our orders!" Mittelt realized the implications.
"How dare someone use Azazel-sama's name!" Kalawarner clenched her fist.
"Wait, did Raynere changed it?" Mittelt asked.
Ark-One shook his head. "Your fallen companion does not appear to possess such intellect."
"You are definitely right." Kalawarner knew how Raynere can act.
"It would take someone smart enough, with resources and patience, to be able to operate under Azazel's nose. A fallen angel with an axe to grind with him." Ark-One said.
"Why does it have to be a fallen angel?" Mittelt asked.
"It's easier to manipulate and plan from within, remaining hidden. After all, said fallen had already planted the seed for revolution with the falsified orders."
Kalawarner and Mittelt couldn't believe what Ark-One was telling him.
"Ask Azazel if you want the truth." Ark-One looked back to the church as an explosion is heard. "… Time to rid the world of a disgusting rat."
"Before you leave, I want to ask you something. Why did you help us?" Kalawarner asked.
"Simple. I couldn't just ignore the young lady and the lovely bijo." Ark-One coolly said, he tossed her a blank white card.
Kalawarner caught his empty card. "What is this?"
"I don't have your number." Ark-One stated. "How am I supposed to call you for our date?"
"K-k-kisama! Nani mono da?" Kalawarner blushed.
Mittlet laughed at her friend's expression.
'Heh…' If only Ark-One can have Decade witness this. "Ark-One. Kamen Rider Ark-One. I am not a devil." He was about to resume his walk. "Bijo-hime, should you ever need help. Hold that card close to you. I'll come to your rescue. Take care of yourselves." Ark-One walked off towards the church.
'Kamen Rider.' Kalawarner thought.
"Oh wow, you totally have a crush on that stray devil! I wish I can take a picture of your face!" Mittelt teased her.
Kalawarner got a tick mark on her forehead and punched Mittelt on the top of her head, giving her a bump. Mittelt had crocodile tears, she felt Kalawarner not holding back. She looked back at the card, embarrassedly put the card away.
Kuoh, Japan - sometime prior the battle
FLASH! CRACK! BANG!
Lightning and thunder erupted through the night sky, having awoken its fury, traversing between the clouds. The dull gray of the night flickered briefly, a sign of the impeding event yet to come. The crescent moon's light faintly bathes down upon the world below. However another object takes in its light too. Lightning flickered again, and from the ground if one were to look up, the huge, black outline of giant construct can be captured.
High above the Earth's sky, piercing the clouds and heavens, at the outer edge of the exosphere lies a black disc-shaped satellite with a red center for its eye. The red eye shines no light for it sleeps. "It" observes the world in front of it, await its master's orders for activity when he is ready.
A young man is inside his workshop, "hard" at work at the bench. He's wearing googles as he held a wielding pen, fixing a piece of technology. "Stupid nanotech." He mumbled. He rolled his chair to his desk, which had multiple computer monitors displaying hundreds of line of code. He pressed a button and looked back at his experimental nanotech. It blew up. "… Really? No build up, just my luck." He took off his goggles, revealing his emerald colored eyes (along with the bags underneath them). The young man ran his hand though his messy white hair.
This young man is Kyou Shirogane, a prodigal "student" from Kuoh Academy. He's not a traditional student, as he works for the academy. Specifically in the IT Department, but with an interesting twist. In fact, due to his genius-level intelligence he is the whole IT Department. Having graduated from MIT at an early age. This paved the way for him to be hired by the academy. They granted him many special benefits and favors to get the young man to be a part of his staff.
"It is a pretty cush gig." – Shirogane's words.
When he's not on campus, he's mostly at his shop (doubles as his home) constantly tinkering about. Kyou yawned, needing a quick energy boost. He walked by his window and saw the purple sky.
'Looks like they're starting.' He cracked open his drink and chugged it. He approached his safe, entered his code and took out a black device with a singular, red lens in the middle: the Ark-Driver. He grabbed a unique, black and white, cassette-shaped device too: the Ark-One Progrisekey. Kyou quickly changed from his school uniform into his costume.
Kyou's outfit was hi-tech and custom-made: the color scheme was primarily black and with a few secondary gray parts. The "pants" have several white light streamlines along the side of his legs and shoes. The "upper body" sported a white streamline across the chest. His gloves reached up to his bicep and were black with a single white streamline running down his arm. There was a grey thin-trapezoid shape button over the sternum of his outfit, where a collar was connected with it too. He tapped the piece and a hooded-cloak materialized. In his hand was a digital black mask that had no visible eye, nose, or mouth slots. He puts on his mask, two white lines light up to represent the eyes.
Kyou was standing on the rooftop, looking up at the purple sky. He took a deep breath in… and out. In, out. He put on the device on his waist. A belt manifested itself, successfully secured.
"ARK-DRIVER!"
His arms formed an 'X' over his chest and he pressed on button on the hi-tech cassette device. The device swung open.
"ARK-ONE!"
Kyou brought his crossed arms in front of him, the Ark-One Progrisekey is held in his right hand.
"Henshin!"
He inserted the device into the Ark-Driver. The black faceplate swung open and closed to reveal the hidden white armored faceplate.
"Singurize! Hakai, Hametsu, Zetsubō, Metsubō seyo. Conclusion One." Glitching red and black kanji and malicious energy along with a projection of the Ark Satellite appeared. The projections then covered Kyou, his body "shocked" by the dangerous electrical feedback. A black aura engulfed the entirety of his body, the red lightning converted to white. The aura dispersed from him via a small white explosion and white armor formed around him, revealing Kamen Rider Ark-One.
"Ow." Ark-One said in a distortive tone.
He looked at his hand, he clenched and opened it a few times. Motor skills were not hampered in any way, good for him. He took a deep breath and exhaled. Ark-One's eye flashed, receiving a bundle of geographical information. His HUD provided him the distance to reach the ritual site along with several other factors: light, wind, altitude, etc.
"If I remembered correctly, those two used teleportation magic." Ark-One sighed. "Great…"
Ark-One has no magical abilities. Although he's a man of science and technology, he does not disprove the concept of magic. But he does have a hell of a bag of tricks for this magic world.
No one could tell that his eyes were closed behind his mask. Ark-One ran a single memory in his head about the upcoming battle between Rias and Akeno vs the three Fallen Angels. The memory played seamlessly; he saw the moment Rias used her Destruction magic and killed the three angels. This video had no flaws or edits, it is real. Ark-One ran thousands and thousands of simulations in his mind and the deaths of the three Fallen Angels was majorly a constant.
"..." Ark-One remained quiet. He was aware of their fated outcome. They were intended to perish; even now their deaths were inevitable...
Until the arrival of an unexpected variable: the Kamen Rider.
Ark-One pushed a button on the side of his Driver and disappeared in a red beam up into the sky.
Satellite Genesis
Ark-One was transmitted inside of his satellite, dubbed Satellite Genesis. The virtual reality room he stands in was mostly black and barren, there are zeroes and ones made up of red and white lightning, running across the "walls" of the space horizontally. A screen with a red neon outline manifest itself in front. Ark-One raised his hands and interacted with it, he burst the screen outward into many copies. Each hand touched a screen, swiping them left, right, up, down, Ark-One processed the information.
Ark-One reviewed the numbers and created a few contingencies for the upcoming fight. To his left, a sphere composed of hundreds nanomachines appeared and to his right, black needles fired a micro beam of red light. This was Genesis's creation process for his Progrisekey-based paraphernalia.
CRACKLE!
"Alright, preparations are nearing completio-"
FWOOSH!
The sphere had a fire emote over its head.
"Another failure." Ark-One snapped his fingers, the sphere disappeared. "At least there was no explosion."
DING!
Ark-One's head whipped back to his custom Progrisekey-shaped devices. "Yosha! Success." He grabbed them and converted them into data. The data flew into his Driver. "With this I am set."
He created a window to the world, the battle was nearing its conclusion as one of the Fallen Angels spoke a taboo to the heiress. Rias's energy flared up exponentially. He internally muttered how the Fallen Angels stepped on a landmine. It is no time like the present now.
"Now DxD sekai, who will be the one able to stop me?" Ark-One said.
Ark-One pointed to himself with his thumbs.
Awkward silence.~
He sweatdropped. "Right. Forgot. No one else here." He pressed a button and converted into a beam of red code. "Let's make our debut!"
Wynndy: Thank you for reading this story!
I received inspiration to create this story by a talented writer: Clearwing Yuta. You might be familiar with his work, My Hero Academia Illegals: Vigilante Dark Drive. Please do give that man a follow/watch/favorite. He does his homework and puts in the effort.
I don't know why I chose DxD. I'm not too familiar with it, just bits and pieces of the first season. I decided to go a different route from the standard crossover fanfics regarding Kamen Rider and High School DxD. And for that, I needed Kamen Rider Ark-One. Though I have a special twist to him. This Kamen Rider is the protagonist/an OC. Ark-One was the best choice for what I am aiming for; a man of technology, making his hi-tech mark on this world. And he WILL NOT be a Devil.
As this anime is known for its fanservice. Ark-One would have his own harem and/or peerage. I may surprise you on how I plan to do that. Also I'm not good at writing harems without sounding as a horny hentai person, but I will do my best. For certain there is a love interest.
One last thing to note and this is the big one. I am not certain if I will continue this story. The story was made as a cool one off.
Anyways let me know what you guys think? I hope you all enjoyed this story. Please read and review, favorite and follow!
