Chapter 37: Sprout VS Blerry

This power… This power isn't anything like before!

The clouds above Omato Village gathered together and darkened, and the ground quaked as if it was going to tear itself apart. All across the battlefield, tornadoes formed and began ravaging the surrounding area, forcing some of the Tuffles that had been camping on the mountain to flee or risk being consumed.

In front of Blerry, Sprout began to stand. For a moment, there was nothing, but in a burst of light, orange and yellow Ki burst forth from him like a pillar of light that pierced the skies. His face was twisted into one of pure rage, and when their eyes met, Blerry knew that there wasn't a thought besides murder.

The Tuffle general was suddenly slammed with killing intent unlike anything that he'd ever felt before. He gasped as Sprout's intentions leaked into his mind's eyes, and he could feel all of the ways that Sprout wanted to rip him to shreds. Even despite that, he relied on his training and pushed his uncertainty aside. He had a mission, and he wasn't leaving until it was fulfilled.

At Mossgrove, his power level wasn't even second class! Blerry thought as the energy surrounding Sprout like a hurricane threatened to blow him away. 4000! 5000! 6000! It just keeps increasing! This isn't good!

"Listen!" Blerry yelled through the storm. "She needed to die! Calm down and I'll explain!"

That was clearly the wrong thing to say, because Sprout's power level spiked once more, and the handcuffs that were supposed to be restricting his Ki crumbled into dust. Immediately, Blerry narrowed his eyes and the metal on both of his arms focused around his fists, strengthening them. He couldn't kill the boy, he'd just have to subdue hi-

Wha-

His experience was the only thing that saved him, his hand flying up just in time to catch a punch that would have buried itself in his face. A deep, animalistic growl brought his attention to Sprout, who was already at his side, leg in motion for a kick. The bones in his arm groaned in protest even through the armor, before the kick sent him flying into the side of the mountain. The entire structure shook upon impact, as a crack spread from its bottom, right to the top.

"Shit, and I thought that this was going to be easy…" He groaned as he dislodged himself from the broken rock and looked for his opponent. "Bloom, I hope you're having more success as I am."

POV Change

"Holy shit, is that Sprout?"

The group had taken a bit longer than expected to wake up, but by the time Root got around to it, they all felt a shift in the air and an immense beam of light appeared in the sky. Standing outside of the house staring out, they watched as Sprout battled with the blue armored Tuffle, and surprisingly, he seemed to be holding up well.

"He looks so angry…" Kakarot said as they all gathered. "When did he get so strong?"

No one had an answer. They just watched in awe.

Sprout POV

"Did you really think that I'd let you live after what you did?!"

I came back around to the sound of my voice, barely recognizable even to me. As I drowned in my rage, power unlike anything that I'd felt filled me to the brim, to the point of pain. My muscles tore as energy-filled them, but I didn't care. I was going to kill the bastard who killed Gine if it was the last thing that I did.

I'd taken her for granted. She'd been someone that I expected to have in my life until I died, and although I'd never said it out loud, she was the closest thing to a mother that I'd ever had. Just thinking about her laying with a sword through her chest made my blood boil and my mind go into a haze.

While it was still hazy, I remembered dumping all of my remaining attributes into my strength and endurance, raising my power into first class. However, that wasn't the explanation for why my power level had risen so dramatically. I wasn't even sure myself, apart from a popup.

Transformation Underway!

Transformation Error!

Psuedo Super Saiyan - Great emotion unlike anything you've ever experienced consumes you, triggering the Super Saiyan transformation. However, you are far too weak to fully transform. You can only handle as much energy as your body allows without tearing itself apart.

Multiplier: Flexible

I didn't have time to think about any of that, or perhaps I just didn't want to. All that was on my mind was killing the bastard in front of me.

My open palm gripped his armor in a tight hold as I dragged him through the surface of the mountain, before throwing him back where we came. I appeared above him in a flash of movement, kicking him as hard as I could down into the earth below. The air around me rippled with pure power as I roared.

Blerry blasted up at me from the dust cloud, uppercutting me with enough strength to send me flying through the clouds. I stopped myself in time to catch his next fist and tried to throw him behind me, but he was prepared. He spun in the air for a few seconds, before his thrusters exploded out of his back and sent him right back at me. He tackled me out of the sky, taking the air out of my stomach until we'd already slammed back into the mountain.

He wasn't fighting me with all he had, and that only made me angrier. I raised both of my arms above my head, before slamming them down on his back. His grip around my waist loosened slightly and I kneed him in the stomach, before elbowing him in the side of the head.

Whatever that armor was made of, it was impressive. An attack that could easily shatter a mountain only left a crack on the side of it, and when he stood up to face me, he looked more annoyed than hurt.

"Just listen!" He yelled at me. "This will all make sense if you'd just let me explain!"

There was no need for explanation. Nothing could cover up what he just did, except his death. I could feel my muscles stretching and tearing as my building emotions only increased. I felt like an overflowing cup, almost on the edge of shattering.

But I wouldn't break, not until he was dead.

He clearly sensed my resolve, as the two circular weapons from earlier appeared back in his hands. His eyes narrowed as he moved into a defensive position. No more words were needed.

We charged.

POV Change

The ground ripped apart as the fight resumed in earnest. Despite the chaos surrounding them, Turles, Kakarot, Jitsuki, Rue, and Root watched as Sprout battled with the powerful blue-armored Tuffle.

"What got him so angry?" Turles asked as they watched. An unconscious Raditz was still draped over his shoulder. "Wait… Where's mom?"

As if to answer the question, Zaria appeared out of nowhere, a bloody body in her arms. Turles almost threw up when he saw Gine's bloody body in Zaria's arms. "The Tuffle stabbed her through the chest. That's what made Sprout go berserk."

They were stunned for words, but a few seconds later, Turles placed Raditz to the side and picked up his mother. She was still alive, if barely. "Fuck! Mom!"

"Do any of you have any healing things?" Root asked as he too watched Gine bleeding out, powerless to stop it.

"Raditz was the one who knew all of that nature stuff…" Kakarot clarified, as their zombified brother was trying to get to his feet. Root thought that Sprout was right to kill him on the spot earlier. Just being around him made Root feel uneasy.

"Jitsuki, do you have anything?" Turles asked, looking up at Jitsuki with wide eyes. "Please?"

Jitsuki frowned and shook his head, before kneeling down next to Turles and putting a hand on his back. "She looks like she'll be okay for a few more hours but…"

There was silence, before Turles growled and turned towards the battle, his eyes ablaze. Kakarot's turned with him, and with fists clenched tightly, their eyes were set on the blue armored Tuffle. Burnt orange Ki began pouring out of both of them in spades, only intensifying the ground quaking and cracking, and the violent storm above.

"I'M GOING TO KILL THAT BASTARD!"

"Wait!" Jitsuki yelled as both Turles and Kakarot flew off, but it was far too late. He moved to follow, but Root grabbed the older boy by his arm.

"We have company," Root said, pointing at the masses of infected Saiyans that were approaching them. "Grab the body and let's get out of here."

Jitsuki hesitated, wanting to join the fight to make sure that Turles was safe, but he knew that Turles would never forgive him if he'd left his mom's body alone to be consumed by those infected creatures. Swiftly, Jitsuki picked up the body and they were off, leaving Raditz behind.

The moment that Blerry noticed two other increasing power levels approaching him, he knew that he was in some deep trouble. Just fighting Sprout alone was tedious, if not borderline dangerous, but with two others? Blerry scowled behind his mask.

This operation was supposed to go smoothly, with only a little resistance. He had no doubt that if he went all out, he'd win, but killing the kid just wasn't an option. On the other hand, Sprout had gone full psycho on him, clearly having lost his mind. Thankfully he didn't need to go easy on the other two who insisted on interfering.

Blerry dodged a punch from Sprout, before returning the knee that Sprout have given him earlier. Before the younger boy could react, Blerry spun him around and threw him hard into the mountain, easily breaking through the surface into a large cavern. Blerry followed but was unpleasantly surprised to see Sprout still conscious, standing with only a cut on his forehead.

Sprout's body shuddered and twitched with each movement, and he was clearly exhausted, but he just wouldn't go down. Before Blerry could make his next move, the two new energies finally caught up and entered the cavern behind him.

Even with the mask on, Blerry recognized the spiky hair as the same as the other boy from Mossgrove. It was only when he saw his face that the connections clicked in his head. He was one of the sons of Bardock. And so apparently was the miniature one next to him. He hadn't noticed it before at the house, having been focusing more of the mission.

If he had been hoping for an easy fight, Blerry now knew that it wasn't possible. The same burnt orange energy that surrounded Sprout was surrounding them too. Their hair stood up on edge, defying gravity entirely.

"Alright… Time to stop holding back…" Blerry spoke aloud, as a slight bit of worry gripped him. He put both of his arms to his side, before spikes began protruding from them. At their edges, blue neon lights burned, hot enough to burn through most things on Planet Plant. He wouldn't hit Sprout with anything crucial but… When he looked at the two sons of the Butcher, he knew that they had to be dealt with now, or they'd prove to be a nuisance later in the war.

Out of his back, several more jet boosters appeared and he clenched his weapons hard enough to turn his knuckles white. In a flash, they all moved.

With the flat end of his weaponized disks, he blocked one of Kakarot's punches, quickly turning and trying to dissect the boy with the other. Before he could reach, the older of the two came out of nowhere, pushing his arm out of the way and going in for a punch.

Blerry dodged it, and as he did, a cannon formed on his shoulder, pointing directly at Turles. He fired, but not before Kakarot had flicked his foot out and kicked Blerry's arm up, causing the attack to go wild. Before he could do anything further, he felt the heat of Sprout's Ki behind him, and a crushing punch slammed into his back, sending him flying into the walls of the cavern and out the other end.

Is this… Blood? Blerry's eyes widened as he tried to dust the cobwebs out of his brain. he could taste liquid iron on his tongue. Shit. I've underestimated them. Their power level keeps rising and even enraged, they fight together.

Sprout POV

Kakarot and Turles were with me but we barely acknowledged each other as we fought. Their power levels had increased too, and whatever transformation that I'd undergone, they clearly had it too. Their eyes were whited out and their onyx hair stood up slightly, defying gravity. Their usually blue and light yellow Ki was a burnt orange, like mine.

Kakarot appeared above the stunned Blerry, moving down to attack, but the moment that Blerry put up his defense, Kakarot blitzed behind him. When Blerry moved to block the next attack, Turles appeared in front of the Tuffle, punching him square in the chest and launching him backward, where Kakarot was waiting to kick him up into the sky.

I slammed both fists down into Blerry's back, having been there to meet him. The ground miles beneath us shivered and buckled, before exploding into dust. Blerry flew through the air, spinning as he went, until he hit the ground with a loud explosive crack.

Both of my hands pointed down where he landed, a King's Spear already forming. At my side Turles and Kakarot prepared their own individual attacks, Kakarot's Javelin Ball and an unknown attack that I'd never seen Turles use before. In unison, we threw our hands down and released our attacks. They linked together effortlessly, melding into a massive multicolored beam that was almost the size of the mountain itself.

When the attack hit the planet, even through the anger, I wondered if we'd made a mistake. Everything around us took a breath; the trees, the clouds, and the animals together. And then, the world shuddered and cracked. Everything around us crumbled, the mountain disintegrating beneath the power of our attack.

I disengaged after a few seconds, hoping that would have been enough. A massive dust cloud shaped like several mushrooms topped above one another went high into the air, probably into orbit. Even despite the plethora of dust particles in the area, I could see that the attack had created a crater rivaling the crater created by the bomb the Tuffles had dropped. Thanks to the now disintegrated mountain acting as a barrier, the majority of Omato village was spared, but even still, the massive quake caused by the beam caused all of the buildings to collapse.

I prepared to go down into the crater after Blerry, only to turn when I heard a gasp of pain. Blerry, alive and well, stood at the side of Turles, while Turles looked down at his stomach. My eyes followed his, and my insides burned when I saw his internal organs begin to peak out. He threw his hand to the wound to try stop it, but still, blood poured between his fingers and the orange Ki around him vanished.

Blerry was already in motion, moving to decapitate Turles. How fucking dare you?!

I was in front of Blerry in the blink of an eye, my fingers gripping his arm before he could deal the killing blow. He was shocked, I could tell, but when he tried to rip his arm away, my grip only tightened, until I began to bend the metal inward and crush his actual arm.

The energy inside of me was no longer just needles, but knives actively slicing me all over. My skin, my eyes, my innards. I was in excruciating pain, the power within me threatening to tear me apart. But no matter how much it hurt, nothing was going to hold me back from my revenge.

"So fast! How did you-"

I didn't allow him to finish his sentence, as my grip intensified and the metal bowed to my strength. He howled in pain as his arm was crushed, but I wasn't done with him yet. I dragged him towards me, punching him in the stomach so hard that the armor cracked like a web.

The attack sent him backward to Kakarot, who was now even angrier than before. He flew right into Blerry, catching him in a string of punches that he had no chance of avoiding. I joined in from the back, and the dance began.

Kakarot punched him in the face so hard that Blerry was forced to turn to me. I struck him in the stomach, before kneeing him in the chin and sending him upwards, where Kakarot drop kicked him right in the face. I could see the mask cracking before he went flying down back into the crater.

We dropped down, slamming into the ground like meteors. Blerry stood in front of us, his mask half broken off. Blood covered his head and he looked delirious, his eyes bouncing between us as if we were his nightmares come to life.

Kakarot dropped to his knee at my side, the orange energy wavering slightly. One look at his face showed me that he was done for, the pain too much for him to handle. I nodded my head at him, before turning back to our enemy. I'd finish it alone.

"Shit! I… I'm sorry Azalea…" He spoke to himself. "As you can see, I have no other choice. He's too far gone. I'm sorr-"

I wouldn't allow him the satisfaction of giving his loved ones goodbye. I dashed at him, fist reared back. He threw his good arm up to counter, but it was a feint. Before he knew better, I was behind him. My fist slammed into his back but he anchored himself down, turning to me and swinging his bladed weapons at my neck.

I bent my body back in time to allow the attacks to fly right over me, before flipping backward onto my feet and rushing forward. He placed his weapon in between us, but he hadn't realized how far I was ready to go for my revenge. His weapon dug deep into my chest and shoulder, but it allowed me enough time for my next move.

My fist fired forward as I activated both [Meteor Fist] and [Light Weight]. Our eyes met as my fist buried itself up to my wrist in his stomach. Blood pooled in his mouth, but he wasn't done yet. The metal around his stomach dug into my wrist, keeping me in place, while he lifted his free arm, weapon in hand.

Before he could use it to slice off my head, the sound of a roar filled my ears, and a Ki beam washed over Blerry's arm. Even through what I assumed was Kakarot's attack, I could see the metal on his arm beginning to melt and meld to his skin. Eventually, his grip on his weapon faded and it went flying off in the distance.

I took the opportunity I was given, taking a step forward and forcing him back. Blerry's eyes widened as he took steps backward with me. From his shoulder, a massive gun formed and pointed at me, but the moment I saw a flash of light, I violently turned my fist in his stomach to shift his body. The heat from the attack made my skin sizzle as it passed, missing me by an inch.

Before another shot could launch, he fell onto his back and as he did, I dragged my trapped hand out. The metal had dug in pretty deep and blood poured from the wound, but I didn't care. I dropped onto his chest and immediately began throwing punch after punch at his unprotected face. Immediately, the metal that had formed the cannon melted back into his armor and his mask donned his face once again.

Still, I kept going, until the metal began to dent inward. I didn't stop there, not until I could see blood pooling up behind the lenses. Finally, I lifted my fist above my head and activated [Meteor Fist] again. I'd end the fight with one final blow.

I threw my fist down, but instead of crushing through metal, flesh, and bone, my fist sunk into the ground. What?

The answer became clear when I felt something moving up my body. I looked down to see that both of my arms had been coated in blue armor, and it was spreading. I tried to punch him again despite it, but the metal held me back. The expansion continued until it coated my entire torso and the bottom half of my legs.

When I glared back at Blerry, it started to make sense. He'd sacrificed most of his armor to restrain me. As he hobbled to his feet and I fell onto my back, he glared down at me with what looked like both pain and disappointment. His nose was busted, and his face was so cut up and bruised that he looked almost like a grape. But he was alive.

He took a step towards me, but immediately staggered onto his knee, with his hand on the hole in his stomach. What was left of his armor was wrapped around the wound and doing something to it.

"S-Shit... I can't even stand right..." He coughed out some blood, his head hanging. Slowly, he looked up at me. "You're much stronger than we anticipated."

I only growled as I tried to force more of the Psuedo Super Saiyan energy out of my body, but it was clear that I'd reached my end. My newfound energy vanished as quickly as it came and somehow my body was in even greater pain than before.

"if you'd just listened to me in the first place, no one else would have gotten hurt," He scolded me through pained breaths. "Are you ready to surrender peacefully?"

It took me several moments to gather what little strength I had left. "You... Can barely move... If you think... You can capture me... Go ahead and try..."

He seemed to hesitate for a few seconds, before shaking his head and running a bloody hand through his hair. "I thought that this was a bad idea from the start, but I went along with it because I thought maybe you'd be different. But you're not. You are just like all the other Saiyans."

"I am a Saiyan," I coughed.

"No! You're more than that! You're only half Saiyan," He said before taking a deep breath and looking me in the eye. "And half-Tuffle."

My heart pounded against my ribcage as I stared up at him. I was filled with uncertainty, with no reason to trust him, but it made sense, As the anger simmered down, my rational thinking returned. He had answers about who I was. I managed to croak out. "Who... Am I?"

"I..." He opened his mouth, before shutting it tightly. "I have been ordered not to say. What I can tell you now is that these Saiyans are not your family. Your real family is waiting for you, back at the Tuffle capital. When you return home with me, you'll meet them."

My real family? The thought made my lightheadedness worst, and I found myself staring up into the twilight sky. He could have been lying, but if he wasn't, there was a family out there that I hadn't met yet. But me being Half-Tuffle brought up more questions than my blood-deprived brain could handle. If I was Half-Tuffle, did that mean that Omato wasn't my father? Or did that mean that my real Mom was a full Tuffle?

It was tempting to know more, and perhaps I would have given in if it was anyone other than him. I tilted my head back to look at Kakarot, who was unconscious on the ground behind me. My mind went to Turles, who I wasn't sure was even alive anymore, and then it went to Gine. The memory of her lying on the ground, face up with a sword sticking into her chest destroyed any chance that I was going anywhere with him.

"Fuck... You..." I growled out at him. He shook his head at me in disbelief, before turning slightly away and standing to full attention.

"Alright, have it your way," He put a hand up to his ear and pressed something. "Units 7, 4, and 3, meet me at the sight of the second crater. Prepare for extraction."

My body burned and I could barely stay away, but I wasn't going to allow myself to be taken. I would fight until I couldn't anymore. When trying to move failed, I thought rapidly and thought of a plan. Taking a deep breath, I gathered as much spit as I could in my mouth. In the places where his armor was exposed, he would be as soft as an insect. All I needed to do was hit him.

I waited until the perfect opportunity, before finally gathering my remaining strength and letting it out. The sound barrier shattered around me, and his eyes widened, but it was too late. My spit collided with the side of his head, before easily sliding right through and out of the top of his skull. Pieces of his brain, skull and blue hair exploded outward before he collapsed like a puppet without its strings.

I exhaled finally, my body relaxing as much as it could despite the pain. I stared up into the sky, unable to even think until everything turned black.
