Tomoko Shiretoko, aka Ragdoll, opened her eyes to total darkness. She appeared to be sitting in a comfortable armchair, though her arms and legs had been tied down with metal cuffs. Machinery hummed nearby, out of sight. Her costume did not seem damaged aside from the slash in her skirt she'd taken during her capture. The cut on her thigh had been bandaged, and judging from the numbness, she'd been given a painkiller. The perks of being the boss' ex, she assumed, since All for One did not normally go easy on prisoners.

She knew All for One had kidnapped her because her quirk was gone.

Taking deep breaths, Tomoko tried to stay calm. This was not entirely unforeseen. Given how many times and ways she'd touched the Lord of the Underworld, her quirk should have been gone long ago. She'd known for years that someday she would pay the piper for her youthful poor judgement. Although she hadn't known his true identity or the full extent of his notoriety at the time, she'd known she was dating a villain. Her idiot younger self had thought hero-villain love was terribly romantic. She thought she deserved to lose her ability and her hero career for that level of dumb.

Just as long as All for One didn't catch Kouta.

A light flickered on, directly over her head. She flinched at the blinding brightness in her eyes. All for One's scarred face loomed in the shadows. "Hello, kitty."

"Don't call me that," she snapped. "We're not together any longer." When she'd first started dating All for One, she also hadn't known that he didn't believe in breakups. What a fool she'd been.

"Still bitter?" All for One clicked his tongue, as if irritated she was still harping on such minor matters. "I didn't tell you everything about my past, but then, you never told me that you were the kind of woman who would abandon her own son. You valued your career over our child!"

Tears filled Tomoko's eyes. She wanted to scream at him that it had all been his fault. She'd never have been able to keep Kouta hidden if they'd stayed together. Instead, she'd faked a stillbirth, complete with medical documentation. She'd stayed in the spotlight as a hero to draw All for One's attention to her. If she'd vanished, he would have suspected her of lying about the death of their child, and if he'd found her with a boy the right age, he would have known. She hadn't abandoned her son, she'd given him up for adoption—and she hadn't wanted to. Even knowing it would be better to send her son further away, she'd picked the Izumis as parents so she could stay a part of his life.

Everything had been for Kouta's sake, once she'd understood the full depths of his father's power and obsessiveness. After the Izumis had died, Tomoko had longed to formerly take in Kouta, but it would have drawn All for One's attention whether he realized the truth or not. He'd been stalking her for years.

There was no point in screaming at All for One. He'd never understand. The deluded villain thought he would be father of the year. Even though she'd seen his bank vault. In a forced calm voice, Tomoko asked, "How did you find out our son didn't die?"

All for One tilted his head. "Curious if the doctors who helped you died in screaming torture?"

She flinched.

He laughed. "Actually, one of them developed a drug addiction, got into debt, and came to me looking for money. I'd suspected even before that. But I thought better of you."

"Your good opinion does not concern me." She snorted. "Even if you stole my quirk, you've never once touched him. You can't find him."

"We had a son," he breathed, gazing at her intensely. "I wasn't sure if you'd lied about that part, too."

Cursing herself internally, she glared and clamped her mouth shut.

All for One reached out and tilted up her chin. "I'll have the truth out of you soon enough. My League has been ordered to bring back at least one student alive from the training camp. Then I'll have a hostage to use to make you talk. You heroes all value strangers over your own family, don't you?"

Tomoko's blood ran cold. If her abduction had preceded a large attack…if he'd sent the League… "Did you send Muscular?"

"I'm not sure why you think he's the worst of my employees, but yes. Muscular said something about wanting to finish off the last member of the Izumi family. He's obsessive like that."

There was no thought of keeping her secret now. She screamed and thrashed against her bonds. "You fool, you bastard, call Muscular back! Call him back right now! KOUTA IZUMI IS OUR SON!"

All for One gaped at her, his gaze assessing if she was lying. What he found in her eyes convinced him: a mother's terror and willingness to do anything to save her son's life. The one and only time they would be on the same page. With a curse, he turned and ran.

Tomoko sagged in her seat, stuck in the uncomfortable position of wishing success to the man she hated. Because even being captured by All for One would be better than what Muscular would do to Kouta.

Izuku stood in front of Kouta, panting, one arm broken and his eye black. Muscular raised his fist for another punch.

"Stop!" Kouta rushed in front of Izuku with his arms outstretched. Both hero and villain gaped. Although Muscular had never had the slightest hesitation about attacking children, sheer surprise seemed to hold him in place. "You c-can't kill me." Kouta could barely get out his words between his stammers. "I'm A-All for One's son."

"Who?" Izuku asked.

At the same time, Muscular laughed. "That's an entertaining tall tale."

"I-It's true. I overheard Ragdoll talking to Mandalay about why she keeps her distance from me. Ragdoll is my birth mother, and a villain named All for One is my father." Kouta reached up and yanked contact lenses out of his eyes, revealing crimson irises. "My hair is white like his too. M-my parents always kept it dyed."

Muscular paused, his brow furrowing. "I don't get it. If those two heroes weren't your real parents, why'd you get so worked up about me killing them? You must be lying."

"How dare you, they were my real parents in every way that mattered!" Kouta shrieked, then launched a suicidal charge at the villain.

Izuku grabbed Kouta by the back of his shirt and threw him behind. Who might or might not be related to a Three Musketeers slogan could be sorted out later. All that mattered was keeping Kouta safe. "Run!" he screamed at the teary boy.

In his distraction, Izuku barely caught Muscular's next punch. Their fists locked in mid-air, and Izuku's muscles burned from strain. He prayed to hear the sound of Kouta's footsteps leaving.

But instead, Kouta crawled over and grabbed Muscular's ankle.

Muscular shrank down, becoming a surprisingly scrawny man. He gaped at his own hands in confusion. A low moan of horrified loss escaped his lips. And…did Kouta look a lot bulkier?

"I have All for One's power," Kouta said cryptically. "My grandmother gave me Water Gun to hide it."

Izuku did not have the faintest idea what was going on, or if Muscular might sprout back his muscles at any moment. But it didn't seem like the villain could follow them quickly between his shock and his scrawny legs. So Izuku picked Kouta up with his good arm and ran.

The next time Izuku saw Muscular, he was identifying the severely mutilated corpse at the police morgue. Afterward, All Might called him to his office with a story about a villain named All for One.

OMAKE TIME!

Omake: Impromptu Therapy

Kouta: A lot of my emotional issues in this AU come from being related to a villain. My parents told me to never use my real quirk.

Izuku: I'm very confused right now, but your power is your own. Your biological father does not reflect on you, and you have nothing to be ashamed of. Besides, I've never heard of him despite religiously following hero and villain battles. This All for One fellow is probably small potatoes.

All for One: That is especially irritating coming from a One for All holder.

Omake: Disappointing Women Even After Dumping Them

Ragdoll: My ex might be a monster but at least I can count on him to save our son.

All for One: Turns out Muscular doesn't pick up his phone calls. Fortunately our boy stole his quirk, what a chip off the old block.

Ragdoll: …Somehow you got even more useless. Why did I ask you for help? I would be kicking myself if I could get out of this chair.

Omake: In the Void Part 1

Yoichi: For all that I disagree with my brother about everything else, I must admit he has great taste in partners.

Second: It's because Ragdoll dresses like a cat, isn't it? I only refused because cats scare me.

Omake: In the Void Part 2

Second: That brat just kicked Ninth!

Yoichi: What a little rebel. I see younger brother energy in him.

Second: You're determined to be biased in favor of your nephew, huh? I'm going to have to take Ninth's side from now on to be fair.

Omake: A Clarification

All for One: Did you leave me because I'm a villain or because of my scars?

Ragdoll: No, I like bad boys and the scars are hot. I found out about your wife!

All for One: You've got it all wrong, this is the oddball Katydid universe without Dad for One. I'm a yandere, we don't cheat!

Omake: If All for One Met Kouta Without Knowing the Truth

All for One: My parents died when I was young too. I lost my mother as a baby. I was only eleven when I found my birth father, and he died right afterward.

Kouta: R-really?

All for One: Yes. I had an alibi and everything.

Kouta: Can I go back to being an orphan please?

Author's Note: Thank you to Gfan97 for the "If All for One Met Kouta Without Knowing the Truth" omake.

Don't worry about Tomoko/Ragdoll. Tiger will rescue her, similarly to canon. Then she'll be reunited with Kouta. Izuku successfully got Kouta away before All for One had time to grab him, although it won't be the last kidnapping attempt. All for One found Muscular alone in the forest and very messily murdered him.

I did consider making this universe Dad for One since it would have been interesting if Muscular had been sent to kidnap Izuku and accidentally found All for One's other son too. It wouldn't even have to be cheating, All for One could have been divorced. However, I didn't think even All for One would have been dumb enough to pick Muscular to take a child alive. There's still a small chance of Kouta and Izuku as siblings, but it would have to be an AU where All for One doesn't know about Izuku.
