Okay, this is the other multi-chaptered Scooby Doo story with Shaphne that was requested, which was specifically a new take on the 'Curse of the 13th Ghost' movie if it was set in the Mystery Incorporated universe! This one is from Bat Dragon, who was a fan of the Shaphne stories I wrote, and after he pitched this idea, I figured, 'why not give it a shot'? Now, this is going to be the first chapter for now, but as soon as I get some other things done, I might focus on this story. Again, we'll wait and see. Anyway, let's start this story off with a bang, shall we? Anyway, enjoy!
"Once upon a demon chest, where evil spirits manifest, the best of friends began a quest, and set out like a thing possessed, in every corner of the land, with a kid named Flim Flam, and a van, and steely hearts at their command, they faced their fears and made their stand! They thwarted evil Maldor's thirst, and broke the Shadow Demon's curse. And off to Marrakesh traversed to rendezvous with something worse, from witches quoting magic rhyme to speeding up the sands of time, into Demondo's comic crime, they fought and caught the demon Slime. Phantazmo, Rankor, Zimbulu, do these sound like good guys to you? Well, thanks to our intrepid crew, into the chest they each withdrew. But now their hunt is nearly through! Their final mystery? Pursue and capture one last bugaboo..."
The city of Crystal Cove looked strewn in chaos as the city known for its strange mysteries were up against something that even the people that didn't like their mysteries solved were fearful of and wanted gone as soon as possible. In the middle of the city, a rather large female-like ghost was growling and roaring in anger as her face had a look of horridness on it, with white blank eyes, piercing claws and dirty blonde hair. The large girl in question was wearing a teal dress as she tore up the roof of a building and threw it up in the air, letting out a triumphant yell, letting the people in this city know just HOW much of a threat she can be...
"...the thirteenth ghost... of Scooby-Doo."
Meanwhile, down in the center of it all, a few people were looking out from their cover as a mixture of reactions were seen in their faces. A young red haired woman wearing a purple jumpsuit, black biker gloves and purple boots. A young dirty blonde haired man with a small beard wearing a green shirt and dark red pants. A young man closer to thirteen years old wearing a yellow jacket over a grey undershirt, black pants and black sneakers. A small Great Dane puppy who held up his fists, growling at the ghost as he looked determined. And finally, a large Great Dane looking up at the large ghost as he seemed to be quaking in fear... before taking a deep breath.
"All right, it's now or never!" The woman said as she looked towards her friends. "If we can get near that ghost and get her in the Chest of Demons, we save the world, we save our friends, and the ghosts will forever be gone!"
"Sounds like a simple, straightforward plan!" The kid, known as Flilm Flam, smirked as he looked towards his friends. "I just hope they get into their position..."
"They're smart, Flim Flam, like, they can figure it out..." The dirty blonde teen smiled, before looking back at the large ghost, before giving a sigh as he looked towards the girl. "Like, Daphne, I feel bad for what happened..."
"Don't." The woman, Daphne, sighed as she put her finger to the man's lips. "It's okay. We knew what we were getting into the minute we started seeing each other... and it wasn't HIS fault either. But we can't focus on faults now. We need to follow Vincent's request to the last letter... it's what he would want! What do you say, Shaggy? Ready to do this!"
Shaggy looked up a little in fear as he noted the large ghost swinging her arms back and forth. He looked up, as if thinking about something, before the Great Dane puppy looked up. "Come on, Shaggy. It wouldn't be the same without you. Isn't that right, Uncle Scooby?"
"Ruh-huh." Scooby nodded as he turned towards Shaggy with a raised eyebrow. "Rome on, Raggy, Ri believe in rou!"
Shaggy looked over towards the large Great Dane, before looking between Scooby and the small Great Dane puppy, before taking a breath. "Scooby, Scrappy, you two are probably the best dog friends a guy can ask for... and Scrappy... thanks for sticking with us."
Scrappy gave a small smile as he blushed. "You're welcome..."
Daphne and Flim Flam gave smiles of their own as Daphne grabbed Shaggy's hand as the both of them looked each other in the eyes. With a big breath, Daphne leaned over towards Shaggy's face as she whispered, under her breath, "A kiss... for good luck."
With that, Shaggy and Daphne's lips met as the young man's eyes widened before returning the kiss with pleasure. As soon as their lips separated, something had changed within Shaggy as he looked back towards the ghost, this time, a full look of determination was shown on his face.
"Like, everybody... LET'S GET 'EM!" Shaggy shouted as he pointed towards the large ghost. "Come on, get her!"
With a nod, everybody followed Shaggy as they came across the large ghost girl as Shaggy let out a loud yell.
This caught the attention of the large ghost girl as she turned, her white blank eyes looking down as she gave a sadistic smirk, saying in a demonic voice. "So, the ones who released me from the Chest of Demons approaches? Perfect... an opportune way to destroy you once and for all!"
With that, the ghost girl quickly pulled back her fists and started to thrust her arm down to throw a punch.
"Flim Flam, dodge!" Scrappy called out as he noted the fist coming down.
The young teenager nodded as he rolled out of the way with Scooby, Daphne, Shaggy and Scrappy splitting off as they avoided the fist. Thinking quick, Scrappy jumped on Scooby's head as he called out, "Uncle Scooby, toss me over to that window!"
"Rokay, Rappy!" Scooby nodded as he grabbed his tiny nephew and threw him in a westernly direction, right near a wrecked windowsill. Scrappy caught it with ease and pulled himself up before jumping forward and landing on the ghost girl's dress, letting out a loud yell of determination. The ghost girl noted Scrappy climbing up her dress as she let out a loud yell of anger as spikes started to grow out of her ghostly body. But Scrappy swung and grabbed through each truffle of her dress, avoiding the spikes as he continued to focus on the job.
Shaggy narrowed his eyes as he turned towards Daphne with a small smirk on his face. "You still with me, sweet silk?"
Daphne felt a blush on her face as she giggled, before nodding. "Ready as I can be, strong man!"
With a nod, Shaggy quickly swooped Daphne up in his arms as he began to carry her, using a few floating house pieces that the ghost had surrounding her as leverage to continually go up to the ghost. All the while, Flim Flam was digging around his backpack to pull out a laser gun as he threw one at Scooby, with the Great Dane catching it with ease. "Try to aim for the ghost!"
"Rou rot it!" Scooby saluted before aiming the laser gun at the large ghost girl before firing a laser at the ghost girl's chest, being careful not to hit Scrappy or his friends by mistake.
This threw the ghost girl off as she stumbled a bit, causing Scrappy to yelp as he almost slipped off the dress and fell. Thankfully, he was caught just in time by a passing Daphne, as Scrappy looked relieved to see her and Shaggy coming to where he was just in time. Knowing that there was no time to talk, Scrappy could only give a nod to Daphne in thanks, as Daphne returned it with a smile.
The ghost girl looked over and narrowed her eyes towards the three people in front of her as she gave a dark chuckle. "So... the cowarldly Shaggy, the smart and crafty Daphne, and... the puppy that almost ruined their lives..."
Scrappy narrowed his eyes. "You really think that's going to mean anything to me?"
Shaggy smirked as he looked up at the ghost girl's eyes. "You're an evil ghost bent on destroying our world, and I'm not going to let you destroy it... especially not with my friends still in it!"
The ghost girl laughed a bit as she looked over at Shaggy. "Really? You're going to be pulling that card, especially after the times you decide to run off, being scared of ghosts? I've been keeping tabs on all of you, you all know that... right? Especially after seducing that leader of yours to the dark side..."
"Fred was going through a lot of stuff right now! You didn't help ANYTHING!" Shaggy growled in anger. "And if you hadn't tried to destroy the girl that I fell in love with, I-"
"You'd what? You think just because you've gotten yourself a new personality makes you think you're better than me? That you are stronger than me? I can see the power in your eyes, but at the end of the day, I'm STILL a ghost... the most dangerous ghost of all... and I will destroy the Chest of Demons and free my fellow ghosts once and for all! Today, Crystal Cove... tomorrow, the universe!"
Shaggy stood his ground, looking rather determined as Daphne held her hand. Scrappy looked up and narrowed his eyes as he readied his fists. "Come on, Shaggy! You and me, let's take this ghost on! It's time she got a good dose of Puppy Power!"
"I'm with you, Scrap! Let's finish this once and for all!" Shaggy smirked as he turned to Daphne. "Daphne, look for them and give them the signal!"
Daphne nodded as she turned around, just as Shaggy and Scrappy took a daring leap to punch the large ghost girl in the face.
The girl growled in anger before letting out a loud roar, causing a large gust of wind to blow out of her mouth, stopping Shaggy and Scrappy in their tracks before being blown away. Daphne looked back in horror as Shaggy looked ready to fall.
"Shaggy, no!" Daphne gasped as she ran over and tried to reach out. "Shaggy, grab my hand!"
"D-daph-" Shaggy gasped as he tried to reach out for Daphne's hand... only for him to narrowly miss.
Daphne's eyes widened in horror as she watched Shaggy falling into the ground. It was as if time had slowed down for her as her horrified expression turned grim... she closed her eyes as things began to look a little grim... it was true what they say... once things started turning grim, their life would begin flashing before their eyes...
"Just a moment of your time, I know this looks tense. But I seem to have shown you the climax, so things don't make sense. In order to properly understand the story in full, we must go back in time, set the stage and its tools. For about two weeks ago to this very day, the beginning of the story we tell that whilst the friends are away... a story of chests and toys, and romance between a girl and a boy. For these two, you shall see, play an important factor in this story."
Okay, that should be the prologue of this story done! How did you guys like it? Like I said, this probably won't be seeing an update for a while, at least, not until sometime in the next year, but hopefully, this'll keep you occupied and hyped for until things get going. To Bat Dragon, I hope you like this prologue, and to everyone else, just hang tight... things are about to get interesting. Next time in this story, we'll be seeing an alternate beginning to Mystery Incorporated Season 2... and what happened after the falling out of the gang... with a few differences. What'll happen? You'll have to wait and see! Anyway, read, review, criticize and suggest, everyone!
