"You know, I'm happy to spend time with the kids," Cat told Ladybug, "But I'm glad I don't have to play Santa and wear an itchy beard." Ladybug laughed, as she set out crayons and coloring sheets. "At least the beard isn't made of feathers." "My love, don't even mention the word "feather" for it makes my nose twitch."

Cat and Ladybug were having a small event at the Children's Hospital. There would be coloring, a story, and the famous duo would be taking pictures by the tree.

"Ladybug! Cat Noir!" they heard a small gasp in the doorway. Soon, the kids came in, and with the nurses help, everyone found a seat. "Okay, everyone!" Ladybug clapped her hands. "Who's ready to color?"

A chorus of me's, rang in the air, and soon everyone was coloring away happily. Cat hummed happily away as he worked on coloring a Christmas tree. "Make sure that one doesn't attack you, love," Ladybug giggled. "Did a Christmas tree get akumatized?" A little boy gasped in wonder. "No, Cat thought the tree I put up was shiny, and climbed the tree." Cat coughed, going as red as the crayon he held.

"My Lady, we can't reveal all my secrets." "Have you ever been down a chimney?" A girl asked. "No, but we've been on plenty of rooftops!" Cat joked, and there was a collection of groans followed by giggles. "We'd love to help out Santa, but we're busy keeping the city safe," Ladybug followed up.

"But Hawkmoth is gone. Is there a Grinch?" Cat meowed with laughter, his eyes sparkling wickedly. "Bugaboo can be a Grinch when she doesn't have her morning coffee." "Yes, because it makes my heart grow two sizes. And just for that, you buying me Starbucks and a cookie after we're done here." "Yes, dear."

The kids sighed, loving the banter. Ladybug looked up to see the nurse giving her a signal that it was time for snack. "Who's ready for snack then a story?" she asked. "Now, has anyone seen the blue crayon before we start cleaning up?"

Laughter erupted as Cat handed the crayon to her with his tail. Ladybug smiled as the kids lined for food, her parents had graciously agreed to make the gingerbread and apple cider.

Then everyone found mats to sit on as Cat opened one of the books. Ladybug felt tears spring to her eyes as a young girl who looked about two, sat close to Cat, sucking her thumb and holding on to Cat's tail.

Would that be there future in a year or two? Oh, she hoped so.

But for now, she enjoyed the story of sheep and shepherds, and the photos turned out lovely, especially when Cat surprised Ladybug by pulling out the mistletoe!

It wasn't the presents, or stockings, that Ladybug and Cat enjoyed most at Christmas. It was the love they had for each other, and giving back when Paris had given them so much.
