Chapter 7
Awakening
I open my eyes to see that we have all made it out of my crystal ball safely and have returned to my living room. I look around to see all the kids completely knocked out in their original seats spotting their normal clothes again as did i. Quietly i began to clear the used tea cups and plates as i decided to let them sleep. As i returned to the room they were all beginning to awake with a few yawns here and there and stretches. I sat myself back down in my lounge chair "Had a nice nap did we?" i asked "How does...everyone feel?". "I had the weirdest dream!" Carlos stated, "Yeah! Same here!" answered Wanda, "Me too, i feel like a whole lot of energy has been sucked out of me!" Keesha then answers in response, i just continued to sit there as i i bit my lower lip. "Did we full asleep Beatrice?" asked Tim as he looked towards me "I must apologize!"as soon as Tim said that, everyone in the room apologised to me "No need kids! Its fine! The story i was telling must have been a bore!" i said in a lie, at least they remember me! That was a good start! I notice that some of them began to examine my crystal ball that was still on the coffee table. It was now looking like a clear round ball of glass.
"May i ask, how you all feel? Any memory of magic..." i say as i went in for the kill "Keesha, you were saying that you felt you had a how lot of energy sucked out of you?", Keesha nodded her exhausted looking head in agreement. "I felt like i was being absorbed into a big round orb thingy, like the crystal ball on your table and we were put into these weird suits that glittered, purple like fog was everywhere and energy was been taken from us!" Phoebe informed us all, "Wait you had the same dream?" Ralphie asked and so did the others in concern. As the teens chatted amongst themsleves, i remained slient until i heard something Arnold asked "It was like the field trips we use to take as kids in elementry school!". Ok, here it comes i said in my head maybe they do still remember their magical field trips with my sisters and that the magic has disappeared from them and will no longer have magical side effects!
"Yeah remember Ms Valerie Frizzle who is now Professor Frizzle and her younger sister Ms Fiona Frizzle in particular? They use to take us on fantastic almost magical field trips, they were my favourite!" yelled out Dorothy-Ann, even agreed. Ok...i thought this is looking promising! "Remember going to the Planetarium and the Zoo and they use to drive the old rickety school bus?" Ralphie mentioned, "Oh and don't forget the chicken farm!" DA added, i just look round in confusion, "I kinda wish that dream we all had was real through, would be so cool if magic was real!" stated Carlos. That's when i let out a big breath of sort of relief but sad in a way that they seem to have forgetten all about magic and the Magic School Bus.
I feel awful! "Ohhh magic is all around us kids! Don't you ever stop believing in magic!" i say in encouragement as i look around the room stopped sad and disapointted faces. My eyes slowly moving towards the crystal ball "So Beatrice? What was the story you were telling?" Tim asked, looking up at the boy my sad smile turned into a fake smile as i answered back to him "Oh i was...ah...ah...i was..." i stuttered but then i was able to quickly make up something with a bit of truth in it. "I, i was telling that i am the younger sister of Valerie and Fiona and that you must always believe in magic!" i told them as i got it off my chest "Tim also delivers to me his delicious grandpas honey, so i wanted to invite him and his friends (meaning you) for tea!", everyone in the room still looked as they were confused. "WOW you are the Frizzle sisters youngest sister? How come they never mentioned you Beatrice Frizzle?" Carlos asked "Carlos!" the whole group yelled. "I'm known as Mrs Beatrice Oliver now, Frizzle was my maidan name as you have guested correctly! I'm happily married! now, the first of the 3 of us sisters to marry! I didn't chose to go into the teaching field, i am more into the healing field and love to help others!" i explained dropping a little hit to them hoping that the magical process they just want through really didn't cause them to lose their memories of magic. Everyone's eyes were still on me and were fansinated by my story, "We are a magical family us Frizzle's you can say that magic is in our blood!" i happily say to the teens, "Don't be silly Beatrice!" Arnold yelled, "Please call me Trixie!" i tell the boy right before he continues "Magic is not real!". I got up from my chair and snapped back at the boy to inform him that magic is real and that magic is always inside of us "You just have to believe Arnold!".
Just then Wanda gets out of her chair with a slight wobble those who were sitting next to her caught her in the nick of time "We probably should be going!" she states. The others agreed but thanked me kindly for the tea and cookies and most of all the story. I lead them all to the front door and bid farewell to them all. I also did inform them that they are welcome to visit anytime if they want to hear were stories about Valerie, Fiona and I. They were now free from their magical curses and were now ordinary teenagers again with no awareness of magic and knowledge of their previous magical experiences. I hope!
