A/N: Just a small heads up. While Sean and Tristan are twins, Sean is technically the older of the two so he may refer to Tristan as his little sister from time to time.

Sean's point of view

It's now been a little over a month and a half since my twin sister Tristan was finally brought home to us after having been kidnapped years ago when we were barely 2 years old.

Trent Parker, the guy that had taken my twin was apparently a former friend of our parents who was jealous that our mother had chosen Dad over him back when they were all in high school together.

I'm really glad to finally have my little sis back in my life again and I know that our parents definitely feel the same as I do.

I just wish that we hadn't had to lose as much time with her as we did. All because some stupid asshole couldn't accept the fact that my mom was and is still madly in love with my dad.

It's currently Saturday. It's actually a pretty warm and sunny day for being the first Saturday in May.

My sister and I are currently hanging out together in our backyard which has a pool in it. Mom who has a rare day off of work is inside doing laundry and whatever else she's doing.

Tristan is pretty happy at the moment more so than she usually is. She found out from her boyfriend Tyler last night that he'll be coming to stay with his uncle and aunt who live one street over our family.

According to what my sister told me this morning, Tyler will be at his aunt and uncle's house for the next week starting today.

I'm pretty sure that he'll likely be spending as much time as he can with her.

I'm really happy for my twin. She's been through a lot in her 14 years. It's really nice to see her smiling so much today.

On top of that, my sister's new best friend Mia who goes to school with us is also supposed to come over around 11:30 today to hang out with us and also stay over tonight.

I can't really explain why but I always feel butterflies in my stomach whenever I think about Mia or I'm around her. She's so beautiful and also really smart.

She's also a really good friend to my twin that doesn't judge her for what that monster Trent Parker put her through the last 6 months that she lived with him and his sister before she was reunited with myself and our parents.

Just then, our mom sticks her head out of the back door and informs my sister and I that both Mia and Tyler are here. My sister lets out a little squeal of what I can only assume is excitement at hearing that before she stands up and practically runs inside the house.

I chuckle and shake my head in amusement before making my way inside as well.

[Switch over to Tristan's point of view]

Upon entering the house, I quickly spot my boyfriend standing in the kitchen chatting with my mother.

"Ty!"

Turning his head, I watch as a huge smile breaks out across his handsome face at seeing me. I quickly cross the kitchen and straight into his outstretched arms which immediately wrap around me as I bury my face into his chest, breathing in his scent for the first time in at least a month.

I feel tears prick my eyes when Ty kisses the top of my head. I lift my head up from his chest to look up at him. He sees the tears shining in my eyes and leans down to kiss my forehead in an attempt to comfort me.

"I'm okay, Ty. Just really really happy to see you again, that's all."

He smiles at me again before hugging me again.

I introduce Ty and Mia to each other. I explain to my boyfriend that Mia goes to the same school as me and Sean and that we actually became friends after I helped her out with these girls at school who were harassing her.

Ty ends up staying all day until it's nearly dinner.time. Mom invites him to stay and eat with us but he declines her invitation politely, explaining that he'd already promised his aunt that he would eat dinner with her and his uncle tonight.

After bidding goodbye to my family as well as Mia too, he and I walk to the door together to say our good nights. I think Ty can tell that I don't want him to leave.

Wrapping his arms around my waist, he gently pulls me towards him. I place my hands against his toned chest, feeling his heart beating under my right palm. I can't bring myself to look up at him because I'm scared that I might start to cry.

"Angel, look at me please."

It takes me a moment to do it but I manage to force myself to do so. I know that he can see the sadness etched on my face. He pulls me even closer until my body is flush with his and my head is resting against his chest.

I feel his fingers combing through my hair as we stand like this for a few minutes before I finally lift my head to look up at him.

Feeling a bit bold, I reach up and place my hand on the back of his neck, pulling him down to me and pressing my lips against his own.

Ty is a bit surprised by this but he quickly recovers and kisses me back for a bit before pulling away so that we can both catch our breath.

I feel myself smile as I kiss him again before reminding him albeit very reluctantly that he's supposed to be back at his aunt and uncle's for dinner.

"I don't want you to get in any trouble with them on account of me, Ty. We can spend some more time together tomorrow though."

"That's true, angel. I'll text you when I make it back to my aunt and uncle's house though, promise."

I smile and say that that's fine before walking with Ty outside to his truck.

We share one last kiss for the night before he climbs into the truck and starts backing down the driveway.

Once he's out of my line of sight, I head back inside where I find my parents, my brother and Mia all hanging out in the living room watching one of the Marvel movies.

I sit on the couch next to Mia who's curled up at one end, her sock covered feet tucked under her.

"You okay there, Tris?"

I let out a sigh before admitting to my best friend that I'm a bit sad that I had to say goodbye to Ty just now.

"Don't worry, girlie. You'll get to see him again tomorrow, right? I mean, he's supposed to be at his aunt and uncle's all week, right?"

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Thanks for that, Mia."

Mia smiles at me before assuring me that it was no problem. She also reminds me that she'll be unavailable most of the day tomorrow once her brother picks her up from here in the morning.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of when her mom died in the line of duty so Mia and her brother along with their dad are going to go visit her mom's grave and then have lunch at the diner where her parents met each other for the first time afterwards.

Mia and I end up heading to bed around 9:30, my brother doing the same roughly fifteen minutes after. I end up texting back and forth with my boyfriend for around ten minutes before I finally start getting sleepy and decide to try and get some shut eye for the night.

My parents also retire for the night around 11 after checking on us kids first.

As Mia and I both slowly fall asleep though, we have no idea that Mia's world as well that of her dad and brother is about to be flipped upside down in a very weird way.

A/N: Just wanna give another small heads up that the next chapter will be written through Mia's point of view so that I can give a bit more backgound and depth to her character.
