Before the creation of life on earth, before deities or beings of unimaginable power existed. There were two dragon brothers, the eldest was responsible, polite and firm. While his brother was playful, mischievous and very carefree. Despite their differences, they both knew one thing. Separated they were strong, but united, they are impossible to stop.
They believed they were alone in the world. But all that changed when the first humans were found after an eternal sleep. The two brothers then realized that they had an enormous responsibility on their shoulders, because these humans revered and adored them as gods.
So. Both brothers, knowing that they had responsibilities, decided to take their own paths and start caring for and protecting the earth. The eldest brought the earth and the sea, while the youngest brought the fire and the wind. The two brothers became guardians and together, they swore with their hearts to protect their people.
"Benja." I took off my headphones to see Ashe while she and Bob were wearing fine and elegant clothes.
After spending the night at Ashe's house. The wife and her robot butler packed their things for our first trip, Busan, Japan. When we arrived at the airport I saw brochures for our next destination, but I didn't expect that the brochures would have recorded stories and holograms instead of the traditional drawings.
"Sorry Ashe, I got distracted." I said blushing before putting the brochure and my headphones away. The girl rolled her eyes but with a smile.
"Listen Benja. We are heading to Hanamura in half an hour, I will give you some rules that you must follow and it is important that you listen." The woman said seriously making me listen carefully while Bob is busy loading our suitcases onto the airport conveyor belt.
"First rule. Bob and I will have your back if you are in trouble, since you can take care of yourself we will help you if an emergency occurs. Second rule, your weapons, don't lose them let alone do anything stupid, they are not toys. Still I need to know if you are worthy of them."
"And rule three. If I say something, you must listen to me and obey. This is how we understand each other, there is only one way and it is my way. Understand?" Ashe asked seriously making me nod.
"Yes, Ashe." I said looking at the woman but she was staring into her eyes.
"Repeat the last rule."
"Whatever you say, it is done. There is no other option." Ashe smiled at what I said and patted my head.
"Good little fox." Ashe said with a smile. The girl noticed that I was purring, the first time she passed it took the woman by surprise, but now she wanted to continue petting my head. Bob was watching everything and grabbed the woman's phone before recording, which Ashe noticed and she turned red as a tomato.
"Bob, you fucking piece of tin with legs. Give me that!!." Ashe yelled before running over and trying to grab the phone from the robot butler.
"Passengers bound for Hanamura. Please go to exit 5-B, I repeat. Passengers bound for Hanamura, please go to exit 5-B. Thank you very much." Ashe sighed angrily and grabbed her suitcase.
"You're going to pay me later, Bob." The woman whispers in annoyance as she, the robot butler, and I head to the plane.
Civilizations were growing. The older dragon was proud of his performance, he was seen as a being of power and absolute respect. On the other hand, the younger brother was seen as a playful dragon who showed no fear in being among people. Even though he was seen as a fun and kind being, he was also respected.
One day. A group of people from the town offered their services in honor of both dragon brothers. The older one did not seem interested and doubted the loyalty of these humans, but the younger one, happy and carefree, thought that perhaps they should listen to the humans. The greatest doubt, but I accept, not by suggestion or the activity of people, he blindly trusted his brother.
Time passed. The dragons were growing and slowly so was the mentality of both. The eldest was now strict, strong and wise, while the youngest was very cheeky and at the same time unruly, still maintaining his old customs, but he also began to be responsible and fair.
The older one constantly asked his brother to please change, but the younger dragon refused and asked his older brother not to be so serious and to learn to have fun.
"Mountains grow, but they do not change in appearance."
Since then. Both brothers separated, the younger brother went north, and the older brother went south. They followed their own paths, and continued with their lives helping the humans they trusted.
They were long hours. But finally we arrived in Hanamura, it was already night so the three of us went to rest at the hotel. Once we arrived, I was looking at the city in wonder and seeing all the changes that had occurred. It still retained its traditional style mixed with the modernity of the future.
"Very well Benja. Your weapons are ready." I was brought out of my thoughts and turned to see Ashe. We had to take our weapons apart so no one would get suspicious, and now that we were at the hotel, Bob and Ashe were reassembling the weapons.
"Thank you Ashe. According to the information Winston gave me, the next agent I'm going to contact is one named Genji. I don't know much about him since the information is scarce, but Winston believes he must be here." I said while looking at my Icoffin where Genji's photo was.
"Okay, but be careful. I heard that lately Hanamura is not a completely peaceful city anymore, you better use that magic of yours discreetly." The woman said before giving me my rifle and sawed-off shotgun. I grabbed my weapons and put on my belt as well as the gloves that Ana and Cassidy gave me.
"Okay, I'll be back soon. Until then, we'll use this to keep in touch." I said give Ashe a communicator. The woman nodded and put it on while I left the hotel room to look for Genji.
When I left the hotel I put on my headphones and played the next part of the story. But I never saw that there were eyes behind me.
The years passed, the older brother missed the presence of his younger brother. As the days went by, both brothers came into conflict due to their differences. The older dragon sought perfection and a balance between humans and the earth, but the younger brother sought something different. He wanted to see the growth of humans and see the potential they could reach.
"The balance is delicate like a flower in the field, with the strongest wind, its petals will fall."
"But the petal will become one with the wind, reaching a beauty that he could never see on the ground and that would only be images in his mind, the product of a dream he never thought he would achieve."
Both brothers no longer felt as connected as before, although love and affection kept them united, the conflict between their differences separated them on different paths. One path in search of the perfect balance, and another path in search of unimaginable and never before seen goals.
The older brother was lost. Although he knew what his destiny was and what he wanted to achieve, he felt disoriented and confused in a sea of thoughts. So, he went to the humans and asked. What decision to make?
"The road to the future is a world without perfection, an empty road full of misfortune and bloodshed. Two kings may be loyal to their people, but only one will bring peace."
Silent. The elder dragon meditated for months thinking about what the humans he trusted had said. It was true, for years, the dragon witnessed impure and detestable acts of humans, although they received punishment for their actions, it was not enough.
The oldest thought and questioned the decision that his younger brother was looking for about a free world and that they will be guided by their hearts. Where was justice? Where was the respect? Where was the honor? Where was the right thing?.
So many imperfections. The older dragon, he realized one thing. The model of a balanced world was the best alternative. And if his younger brother couldn't understand it, maybe he should witness it.
After weeks of silence, the younger brother was looking for his other brother due to a meeting between the two. It is unknown to this day that he belonged to both brothers, but it is mentioned. That they are both still thinking about the perfect world for them and for everyone. The answer is still silent.
I take off my headphones in disappointment. The end of the story seemed very lacking in sense or imagination to me. What had happened to the dragons? Had the two found peace between their differences? These would be answers that cannot be answered unfortunately.
At that moment my senses were heightened and I stopped dead. Without realizing it, I entered a part of the city that was completely empty and with very dim lights. I heard laughter and grew serious as I saw masked men and even masked omnics emerging from alleys on my side.
"Well, well. What do we have here? You seem to be a foreigner." One of the masked men said. That made me clench my fists slightly.
"Look, friend, we don't look for problems with those who visit Busan. But, I think you have something of our interest." An omnic said before pointing to the rifle Ashe gave me. When I saw that I froze with shock, being immersed in the recorded story, I forgot to hide my weapons.
"Look. We'll make this very easy, just hand over the gun and we'll let you go, a piece of cake right? What do you say?" A man asked with a smile but I saw out of the corner of my eye that some men were holding katanas or rifles.
"It's a gift from a friend. I can't do that." I said seriously but that made the masked man laugh.
"I'm afraid you have no choice, it's the gun or your life. What do you choose?" I looked around and slowly backed away until I was in a corner only for a man to point his rifle at my throat.
"Oh you little good-for-nothing, there's nowhere to run and you know it." The man said with a chuckle as everyone laughed and looked at me.
"I wasn't going to run away, there are just times when the darkness is my home." I said before disappearing into the shadows. That greatly impacted men and omnics.
"What!?." Suddenly the man was hit by a kick when I appeared from behind.
Everyone turned and quickly drew their weapons. At that moment I made my fire sword appear and began to defend myself against the attacks very easily. When I heard the noise of the weapons, I used my roots to block the rifles.
One of the omnics tried to attack me from behind but I disappeared in a magenta smoke before appearing with a different transformation, I was now a bat and I let out a sonic screech causing the robot to fall due to a failure in its system.
"Kill that son of a bitch!!." A man yelled before pulling the gun from him. But I quickly took out the revolver that Cassidy gave me and shot his hands making them drop their weapons.
Look the man straight in the eyes. The masked person squeezed his gun tightly and started shooting but I used my sword and started splitting the bullets without any problem, which scared everyone.
"Impossible. How did you do that?" The man asked as he dropped his gun due to his trembling hands.
"I was taught by two great teachers. Now, I will teach you the power of the Mayuzumi surname." I said seriously before disappearing and appearing behind them. At first the omnics and the men didn't feel anything, but when I put away my sword they fainted on the ground.
"Yukie. When I get back, I promise that you and Jinafire will go on a date." I said sadly but also hopefully before leaving. But I never noticed that someone had watched everything from a roof before disappearing into the shadows.
I started walking through the empty streets of Hanamura. Obviously I put away my weapons using magic to hide them, after half an hour of walking I reached an ancient but then I saw someone arrive. A grown man, the man was wearing almost ninja-like clothing with some dragon tattoos and using a bow and arrows. The man ran and climbed the entrance without difficulty.
I followed the man and was amazed to see more of the people who had previously attacked me. But then I watched in amazement as the mysterious man defeated all the men using hand-to-hand combat skills and using his bow and arrows.
The man walked through the shadows while I followed him, but I never knew that someone was also following me. I followed the mysterious man until we reached a huge room, the place looked comfortable and traditional like in samurai times. I approached slowly while I watched the man place his bow on the ground.
"You two are not the first assassins sent to kill me, and you will not be the last." I felt a chill run down my spine as I heard the man's serious tone but then I saw someone land behind me. The person was impossible to recognize because of a robotic armor he was wearing, but he also had two swords, one on his back and the other on his hips.
"You are too bold to come here to Shimada Castle, home of your enemies." said the man behind me, but he did not seem interested in my presence, but rather he was fixed on the other man.
"This used to be my home. Don't you know who I am!?" Suddenly I had to deflect an arrow when the man grabbed his bow and fired two arrows, while I deflected mine using my katana, the other guy with robotic armor dodged it without difficulty.
"I know who you are, Hanzo." The man's statement made the other guy suddenly grab another arrow and shoot, I saw that the arrow made a cave and I quickly dodged it just like the other man in robotic armor.
"I know he comes here every year, on the same day." I could see that Hanzo seemed angry at the other person's statement and started shooting arrows at the armored man. He immediately avoided the arrows before taking cover.
"You risk a lot to honor someone you yourself killed." Suddenly I saw that the man took out shurikens from his knuckles before throwing them at Hanzo, however the man used his bow to deflect the attacks.
"You don't know anything about what happened!!." Hanzo shouted in anger before loading an arrow with all his strength and then firing. The other man quickly pulled the small sword from his waist to stop the arrow but his force caused the man to be thrown away by the power of the shot.
Quickly, Hanzo loaded another arrow but I saw with surprise that the tip of the projectile opened and when the arrow was fired it split into other arrows. The armored man quickly used his sword to deflect and reflect Hanzo's attacks before jumping to dodge the last arrows.
"I know you tell yourself that your brother dishonored the clan. And that you should kill him, that this mission was your duty." Hanzo quickly shot an arrow in the direction of where the voice was but there was no one. However, his senses warned him of danger behind him.
"It was my 'duty'. And my responsibility!" the man shouted before shooting another arrow at the armored man but he deflected the arrow without any difficulty using his sword.
"That doesn't mean I don't honor him." Hanzo said before shooting the last arrow from him. At that moment he and I were surprised when suddenly the armored man broke the arrow in half without any difficulty.
"What!?." Hanzo couldn't take it anymore and started attacking with melee attacks and using his bow. However, the other man seemed to have an advantage in agility and speed but despite that advantage, both men had a shoulder to shoulder battle.
Hanzo had to use his bow to defend himself from the armored man's quick attacks, but carelessly the rival launched a kick with inhuman force causing Hanzo to crash against the edge of the balcony. He didn't have time to recover and immediately had to use his bow to stop the other man's sword.
"Do you think you honor your brother's memory with incense and offerings? Honor lies in our actions." The armored man said seriously. Hanzo felt his blood boil and then he saw one of his arrows on the ground.
"Do you think you honor the memory of your brother Genji with incense and offerings? Honor is in our actions." The armored man said seriously. Hanzo felt his blood boil and then saw one of his arrows on the ground.
"You dare give me a lesson about honor!? You are not worthy of speaking his name!!." He grabbed his rival using his bow and threw him to the ground. The man ran to her arrow and grabbed it before concentrating on something. At that moment, I was shocked to see her tattoos glow as if they were coming to life.
"Ryūu ga waga teki wo kuroū."
The moment Hanzo shot the arrow, I was shocked to see that the shot unleashed two giant blue dragons that rushed to attack the armored man. But then I saw the other person draw his large sword and I saw that it was also glowing a deep green color.
"Ryūjin no Ken wo kūrae."
The moment the man unsheathed his sword, he performed a dance with his weapon and summoned a green dragon. Hanzo and I were shocked by this and suddenly saw the green dragon engulf the blue dragons, and suddenly Hanzo had to take cover as his own attack was returned and he fell to his knees feeling all the energy drained out of him.
"Only a Shimada can control dragons. Who are you?" Hanzo asked seriously. But the other person moved at high speed and placed his small sword on Hanzo's neck ready to kill him.
"Do it then, kill me." When I heard that I was preparing a fire sphere to interfere, but then I saw that the man in robotic armor was not moving and suddenly moved his weapon away from Hanzo's throat.
"No. I will not give you the death you want, you still have a purpose for this world. Brother." The man said. But when Hanzo heard the last, he quickly stood up with his eyes wide in shock.
"But. My brother is dead." Hanzo said in surprise looking at the man. At that moment the other man placed his hands behind his neck, and by pressing a button, the man took off his mask. Hanzo was stunned, because he recognized the other person's eyes instantly.
"Genji." When I heard that I felt a chill and suddenly I felt that this was familiar, suddenly my tails stood up when I saw that Hanzo and Genji are the dragons from the story I was listening to when I arrived.
"What have you become?" Hanzo asked with shock and surprise in his voice while Genji put his mask back on.
"I accept as I am and forgive you, brother. Now you must forgive yourself." Genji said before putting his hand on his brother's shoulder and walking towards the edge of the balcony.
"The world is changing again, Hanzo. It's time to choose a side." Genji said before walking and taking a big jump landing on the roof of a house. When Hanzo regained his composure he grabbed his bow and the last arrow he had left before pointing in the direction where Genji was.
"Real life is not like the stories that Father told us both. You are a fool for believing that!" Genji's brother shouted seriously. His instincts wanted to shoot the arrow, but something in him seemed to prevent that action.
"Perhaps I am a fool, to believe that there is still hope for you. But I believe in that." Genji's words made Hanzo slowly lower his bow and look at his brother.
"Think about it, brother." Genji said before disappearing in a cloud of smoke. Hanzo remained silent but then he remembered me and when he turned around he saw that I was no longer there.
The man put away his arrow and bow before walking back to the sanctuary. But the moment he left the balcony, I emerged from beneath the ground in my spectral form before returning to normal. I looked in Genji's direction for a moment and then I saw a feather on the ground that he left, I grabbed the feather and sniffed it. I immediately found trace of him and started searching for him.
My mind was processing everything that happened. Hanzo and Genji are the legendary dragons of legend. But my mind was full of doubts and questions. Why did Hanzo kill his own brother? And if it is true, how is it possible that Genji is still alive?
My thoughts were interrupted when I noticed that I am now on the outskirts of Hanamura. But then I saw Genji kneeling on a tombstone that rests on a small hill and next to a Japanese cherry tree. I slowly started walking but then stopped when Genji threw a shuriken at his feet.
"I know who you are. And I also know why you're here." Genji said seriously. But he didn't turn to see me.
"Genji Shimada." I whispered seriously and was somewhat nervous. However, despite having heard me, he did not turn to see me.
"I can't go back to Overwatch." That statement silenced me but at the same time it worried me.
"But. We need you." I said with concern but he didn't turn to see me and he just stared at the tombstone.
"Overwatch doesn't need anyone like me. Do you know what I did? Do you know the things I did in my time in Overwatch? Do you know my past?" Genji asked seriously. That silenced me, Winston never told me about Genji, not even Cassidy.
"I am aware of what is happening around the world, and I know that duty calls me. But, I can't stop remembering those days, there are times when I have nightmares about myself. Although I want to go fight with Overwatch to save people I'm still not ready to lift that burden again." Genji said with pain and seriousness. That worries me even more.
"We want the best for everyone. And we need you Genji, I understand that things are not well. But, if you don't come with me, who could it be?" I asked with curiosity and concern. After a few minutes of silence Genji stood up, internally I prepared myself if he was going to attack me.
"Don't confuse my rejection with a lack of hope. I don't feel ready to pick up the path I strayed from for years, but that doesn't mean I'm leaving the world in ruin. Until then, you'll have to be patient, my loyalty to Overwatch is delicate. Only time will tell you if I will return or not."
"While the world still has hope, believe. That when the day comes, I will return." Genji said before disappearing in a cloud of smoke. I was ready to leave but I saw a card on the tombstone, when I approached the card I saw that an address was written on it and I started walking to see where it would take me.
At the other side of the city. A girl was riding a motorcycle while behind her were a few boxes full of donuts tied to them with ropes. When the girl got off the motorcycle in an apartment district, she grabbed the donuts and walked happily until she reached the elevator before getting on.
The girl seemed happy and even she was humming a song until the elevator reached the floor she wanted. The moment she came down, she saw an older man fixing a light and a little girl drawing with crayons on the floor.
"Hello Mr. Yoshida." The older man stopped working and looked at the girl in the elevator before walking over to where he is with boxes of donuts.
"Ah. Hello Kiriko, I see you bought donuts again." Mr. Yoshida said with a smile making the girl laugh.
"They're not just any donuts, Mr. Yoshida. They're special fox festival donuts with magic sprinkles. Do you want one?" Kiriko asked with a smile making the man laugh.
"No thanks. I hope you, and your mother, really enjoy those donuts." The man said with a smile. However, that statement made Kiriko lower her shoulders in surprise.
"She, is she here? Uhh, let me guess. She brought the vacuum cleaner, right?" Kiriko asked with a nervous smile.
"Yes. Oh, by the way. Someone was waiting for you." Mr. Yoshida said before pointing at the girl. Kiriko saw the little girl and smiled before walking over.
"Hello Kiriko." The girl was not communicating with her voice, she was using sign language. Kiriko smiled and put the donuts on the floor before saying hello with sign language as well.
"Hello, pretty bunny. You're getting very good at drawing." Kiriko said through sign language making the girl laugh.
"It's a fox, it's not a rabbit." The girl said in a mocking tone making Kiriko laugh.
"Oh right, a fox. Hey, I bought you a gift." The little girl was excited by what Kiriko said and then she took out a stuffed fox from her bag. The girl hugged the stuffed animal but then signaled to Kiriko before giving her a gift as well.
"Oh, for me?" Kiriko smiled before grabbing a tiara that had fox ears on it. The girl put them on and looked at the little girl.
"How I look?." Kiriko asked before striking poses making the girl giggle.
"How stupid you are." The girl said in a mocking tone making Kiriko smile before looking at Mr. Yoshida.
"Well, I must go now. Mr. Yoshida, pray for me." Kiriko said before putting his hands together in supplication for her making the two people laugh as she walked to her apartment.
The moment Kiriko entered her apartment, she heard the annoying noise of her mother's vacuum cleaner. Despite robotic improvements and advanced technology, her mother never got rid of her 9-year-old old vacuum cleaner.
"Mom, I see you came to visit." Kiriko said nervously looking at her mother while the woman turned off the vacuum cleaner, that was a huge relief for the girl.
"Kiriko, you're no longer safe! Did you not know that last week someone was robbed at gunpoint? You should never have moved!" Kiriko's mother shouted seriously, watching as the girl was cringing due to her mother's seriousness before seeing the woman grab two of the three boxes of donuts.
"I brought pizza." Kiriko snapped out of her shock and laughed with a smile.
"Mom, please. Aren't you exaggerating a little?" The girl asked with a smile but that irritated her mother.
"I'm not exaggerating, I'm just." Kiriko's mother fell silent when she saw that she was holding boxes of donuts. That made the woman have a throbbing vein.
"Kiriko. Tell me you're not having this for dinner?" The girl was petrified by her mother's question and smiled nervously, which annoyed and disappointed the adult woman.
"Kiriko, this is the last straw." the woman said tiredly before sitting down at the table. On the other hand Kiriko was still smiling.
"Mom, please look at me, I'm fine. The spirit of the fox protects me just like grandma." Kiriko said with a smile but that statement was like an arrow in her mother's heart.
"She's not here anymore, Kiriko. And I don't want the same thing to happen to you." The woman said seriously but her daughter still seemed positive.
"But mom, the spirit of the fox deflects bullets and regulates the sugar in my blood. It is very versatile, and multipurpose like flour to make donuts." Kiriko said with a shy smile in an attempt to make her mother smile but she saw that her mother didn't seem in the mood for jokes.
"I have a sword, remember?" Kiriko's mother asked before showing her sword, making the girl roll her eyes but keeping her smile.
"I'm fine mom, I'm safe. I swear." Kiriko said with a smile trying to calm her mother, on the other hand, the woman sighed and put her sword on the table.
"Kiriko. There isn't a day that I don't feel afraid for your safety, you stopped training, Kanezaka is falling apart, I no longer know how to protect the ones I love." The woman sighed and she fell into her chair and looked at her sword with a look full of sadness.
"Faith is not enough. Kiriko." The woman said seriously, looking at her daughter, while on the other hand, the teenager smiled a little.
"Mom, maybe you don't believe in the fox spirit. Or even what Grandma taught me, but believe in me. I'm stronger than you think." Kiriko said with a smile but mother she became serious when she heard that.
"Oh really?." The woman asked seriously and distrustfully about her daughter's statement.
Outside the department. In the elevator, some uniformed men and omnics with masks walked through the corridors of the hotel. Mr. Yoshida looked at the men in fear while her granddaughter had not heard, but then the girl was scared when she saw that one of the men knelt down and showed her mask.
"Do you know how stupid you sound, honey? Oh, mom, I'm fine, I'm super protected by a spirit animal that regulates sugar by eating donuts." Kiriko rolled her eyes at what her mother said, the girl was about to eat a donut when she suddenly heard an argument. She approached the door to see the group of men in suits with Mr. Yoshida.
"Listen, old man. Your son owes us a lot of money." One of the men said seriously while Mr. Yoshida was very scared and nervous.
"I already told you, I have no idea where he is." The man said with fear. But that statement made one of the masked men angry.
"You think this is a game!?" The man then grabbed the little girl's fox stuffed animal before rudely showing it to the older man.
"Do you think the fox spirit will come to protect you!? We are the Hashimotos, old man." The men began to laugh before they began to push and hit Mr. Yoshida, which scared and at the same time made his granddaughter cry. Everything was seen by Kiriko, the girl stopped smiling and her eyes went dark.
"I know you love sugar Kiriko, but it wouldn't kill you to eat vegetables once in a while. I'm saying that for your health." What the woman never knew is that her daughter disappeared in a turquoise flash.
"I only want the best for you. I know I always sound rude or mean but I'm worried about you." Kiriko's mother said but when she turned around, she saw that her daughter was no longer there.
Mr. Yoshida was on the ground coughing weakly as blood stained his uniform, the granddaughter was trying to run into his arms but the Hashimotos wouldn't let her. Just when one of the gangsters was going to kill Mr. Yoshida the lights began to fail and the spotlights began to explode, suddenly the emergency lights came on and one of the Hashimotos saw Kiriko.
"I'm going to kick their fucking asses." Kiriko said seriously, clenching her fists. However, that angered the man who hit Mr. Yoshida and put on the mask.
"No one threatens the Hashimotos!!." The man shouted before pointing his two revolvers at him while the others prepared their swords and weapons.
"Wait, I don't want to get my ass kicked. I'm going to call for backup." One of the men said with fear but that confused his companion.
"What!?." That distraction was enough for Kiriko to throw a kunai and hit the man and causing his weapons to activate and shoot into the sky. Kiriko's mother heard everything and ran to the door to look through the crack to see what was happening outside.
Kiriko launched herself at high speed and gave a side kick to the Hashimoto who was holding her cell phone. She quickly took out some kunai and began to defend herself from the sword attacks of the other gangsters. The girl felt something approach behind her and she threw two kunai that hit the omnic's arms causing her to lose control and fall to the ground.
Suddenly Kiriko had to start moving at high speed when the man who had the cell phone was now holding a machine gun and started shooting. At one point, the girl nailed her weapons to a fire extinguisher and opened a screen of smoke causing the Hashimotos to have no chance to defend themselves from her rapid attacks.
The Hashimoto who was hit by the kunai took off her mask and stood up disoriented. Fortunately the metal coating was hard enough to prevent Kiriko's weapon from lethally hitting her head. His partner, in a moment of desperation, grabbed Mr. Yoshida's girl and started running, but the older man tried to stop him until a loud gunshot was suddenly heard.
A loud noise caught Kiriko's attention, when she turned around, her eyes went dark when she saw Mr. Yoshida on the ground with a gunshot mark on his chest. When she saw the girl running and crying into the man's body, Kiriko appeared in front of the body in a flash and immediately used a magic seal to heal the wound.
"We are. The Hashimotos." That was the last straw that broke the patience within Kiriko.
The blood began to boil in his veins, his eyes glowed an intense turquoise color. Her gaze no longer reflected peace and tranquility, her eyes were almost the same as those of an angry animal about to unleash her anger.
"I've had enough!." Suddenly turquoise pillars appeared in the hallways, breaking the walls. Kiriko disappeared in a flash and fiercely attacked one of the Hashimotos as if the man were nothing more than a rag toy.
"The Hashimotos have exploited this city, and its noble people for the last time!" Kiriko shouted before continuing to attack him while more pillars appeared in the hallways.
"I want you to send this message to your boss so listen to me carefully!" Kiriko threw the Hashimoto's bodies to the ground while the men looked at the girl in terror. Her turquoise eyes gave an intimidating air, behind her the nice girl was left and now she was a cold person without any mercy.
"Kanezaka, you are under the Kitsune's and my protection!" Suddenly the room was filled with pillars and a strong breeze began to come from the hallways. Suddenly Mr. Yoshida stood up slowly, his body felt strange as if he were now younger and stronger. On the other hand, Mr. Yoshida's little girl screamed wildly, raising an axe.
The Hashimotos screamed in terror and began to run for their lives, the fear only intensified when they saw that Mr. Yoshida and the girl were running at a much faster speed and were about to be overtaken.
Fortunately, the gangsters managed to reach the elevator and started fighting to make the elevator go down, but then one of them screamed in a feminine manner when the girl threw her ax and cut the hair of one of the Hashimotos.
Slowly the place began to calm down and the atmosphere returned to normal. When the chaos was in the past, the girl and Mr. Yoshida hugged each other tightly after everything that happened. They both looked at the hallways to see Kiriko, the girl seemed to be looking for something before disappearing and appearing in front of them but that scared them a lot after everything they saw and the way Kiriko had become enraged.
The little girl opened her eyes and saw her stuffed animal in Kiriko's hands. She ran and hugged the teenage girl as she noticed that now Kiriko was no longer intimidating and that she returned to her noble and kind attitude.
"They're fine. Right?" Kiriko asked fearfully looking at the girl. The little girl looked for a moment at her grandfather and then at Kiriko before speaking through sign language.
"You saved my grandfather. So, I'm fine." The girl said with a smile. Kiriko smiled feeling a pain that disappeared in her heart when she saw that she was able to avoid a terrible tragedy.
"You have the bravery of a fox." Kiriko said almost on the verge of tears before looking at Mr. Yoshida.
"Take good care of this little creature, she grows very quickly." Mr. Yoshida looked at his granddaughter and then at Kiriko before speaking.
"From the bottom of my heart. I thank you very much." Mr. Yoshida said with a smile. Kiriko stood up and gave one last greeting to his grandfather and granddaughter before disappearing in a flash of turquoise.
Kiriko's mother was shocked. She witnessed everything and saw as if her daughter had defeated the Hashimotos and humiliated them like never before. Slowly the woman turned around, and she saw photos of Kiriko's childhood along with photos of her mother and her grandmother. She never knew it, but her daughter had been growing and maturing even faster than the woman thought she would see in her lifetime.
"Mother." The woman turned and saw her daughter. She approached and almost felt her heart break when she saw that her daughter had a cut on her cheek.
"Kiriko. They hurt you." The woman said with pain, looking at her daughter's wound. When the girl noticed that she smiled shyly, one of the shots had grazed her cheek.
"I'm fine mom, really." Kiriko said before placing her hand on her mother's hand. Suddenly a golden glow covered Kiriko's wound and it closed completely.
"Maybe I shouldn't have stopped training with you. I think it wouldn't hurt to improve a little more." Kiriko said with a shy smile. It had been a long time since her last training, despite retaining her combat style, that shot made her see that there was still a long way to go.
"I think I was too rude with your donuts." Kiriko's mother said with tears while her daughter was trying not to cry, but it was impossible not to shed a few tears.
"I guess. It's not a bad idea to go back home, even if it's just for a while." Kiriko said with a smile. But then the moment was interrupted when someone knocked on the door.
"It must be Mr. Yoshida. Don't worry mom, I have everything under control." Kiriko said shyly. But when she opened the door, she was surprised to see someone hooded and wearing a Victorian-era trench coat.
"Umm, hi. me." I tried to speak but then my senses warned me of something.
"Kiriko back!!." I immediately took a big jump to dodge a sword attack from Kiriko's mother.
"Back off honey, he must be a member of the Hashimotos!" I suddenly had to make my sword appear and started to defend myself against the woman's attacks, but then I had to somersault when Kiriko almost hit me with a kunai.
"We'll do this together." Kiriko said with a smile before starting to attack along with her mother. My eyes sharpened and I blocked a kick from Kiriko before deflecting a thrust from her mother's sword. Due to the limited space I started doing quick tricks to evade and dodge the attacks.
"Ivy Element: Sleeping Plant." I immediately made a plant appear in my hands and released a gas that made Kiriko's mother fall to the ground.
"Mom!. Ugh, you're dead!!." Kiriko began to attack me fiercely but I dodged her attacks until I took advantage of a mistake to hit her so that she fell to the ground and I immediately grew roots to immobilize her.
"Son of a bitch, what is this!?" Kiriko was struggling to get her arms out of her but it only made the roots tighten their grip.
"Wait please, I don't want to hurt you. Your mother is still alive, she's just sleeping." I said with concern. I never expected that upon arriving at Genji's location, I would be greeted with an attack.
"You lie. What do you want from us? Did those pathetic sons of bitches who ran away call their boss and send their strongest bodyguard?" Kiriko asked with venom but then she saw that I was confused but at the same time she was surprised.
"Wait, you mean the men who ran away a while ago? Those men, they attacked me hours ago." Kiriko was quiet when I said that and she became serious before asking.
"Suppose you're not part of the Hashimotos. Why are you here?" Kiriko asked seriously. Suddenly the girl roots letting go of her arms allowing her to stand up.
I silently took out the note that Genji gave me and gave it to Kiriko. The girl grabbed the note and when she opened it, her eyes widened in shock as she recognized the handwriting but also a seal at the end of the page she had. the shape of a dragon.
"You're Kiriko, right?" My question caught the girl's attention and she looked at me intently.
"We have a lot to talk." I said looking at the girl while the two of us stayed silent staring at each other in the hallways.
