The sound of an amazing, epic guitar solo could be heard echoing through a dark chamber, as enchanting female vocals followed it.
In a world where fighters meet around the world to participate in grand tournaments, with their actions helping to determine their fate, a Rhythm of their epic battles flows through and created something as beautiful as the sound of music.
Events of those battles, Kyo vs Iori, Leona vs Shermie, Terry vs Yamazaki, and so on flashed for a moment as the music continued in an electric metal riffed.
But their overgrowing conflict seemed to have shaken the world they live in, as their thirst for bloodlust had left people craving more of their intensive battles.
More battles flash to show Blue Mary attacking Choi Bounge, Chris going against Joe Higashi, and more as the music begins to overlap their moments of conflict.
Some people just wished to live normal lives, and let the music of life fly the natural way. But that was not the case for two innocents, who gave their souls for power.
Two figures, a young man and woman, looking to have a deal with a demonic shadowy figure...a black pact to be exact, as their blood was spilled onto a contract to where the deal was struck, and thus where the granted insatiable power for their personal goals. Couldn't have been any more simple...than to make music.
10 years before the Invasion of Verse, a musical couple were wanting to work their way to their and achieve their dreams and beloved music stars. Their names were Kanato and Hibiki Omagari, a young duo, and lovers who were wanting to see their careers in music take off; Kanato was a slim young man with fair skin and short black hair and was currently wearing a dark leather jacket over a black shirt and black jeans with matching shoes, and he was a guy who could play any type of guitar, and Hibiki was a girl with an average figure of fair skin and black hair held by a hairband, but stopped below her neck, and wore a similar attire as her Kanato, as she did lead vocals, having a promising voice for singing. But so far, there hasn't been that much luck. Only a few performances in public and stand-ins for some opening nights, but that was it. They really wanted everyone to hear their music, to be stars playing for vast crowds of people. So when desperate times came calling, Kanato convinced his wife that they do something drastic...and made a deal, selling their souls to the devil.
Didn't seem like that big a deal, since they heard lots of musicians do it. But what they weren't expecting was with that deal came extraordinarily new talents...and gifts from the fallen angel himself. Kanato found himself with a guitar that looked like a red and iron label xiphos with lightning symbols around the body. The strings would glow in a red neon light when being played, much to his surprise, and generate lightning. He wasn't sure if he could handle such an instrument like this, but when he slowly got into playing it, he started to like it more and more, like it was natural to him. And as for Hibiki, her voice was like that of a mermaid, beautiful...dangerously beautiful and alluring as well, finding out that every man she sang in front of fell for her instantly. Both were now master music artists, but their rising careers didn't turn out the way they wanted them to.
Originally, they were a pop-rock duet, playing songs that were more up-tempo. But as they got into the feel of their new gifts and abilities, they started to get into more rock and roll, which slowly shifted over to some good ol' heavy metal. Hibiki wasn't sure how to feel about this, but her husband ensured her that it was all a part of life, changing a few things, which shouldn't really worry her. As of now, they were walking down the road, the guitar in Kanato's hand as it has been several months into their deal, and have gotten a handful of gigs with promising cash rewards.
Kanato:"Next gig should be by tomorrow. Bet you, we'll rock the house."
Hibiki:"Definitely, but still...you think we made a smart move with that deal we made a while back? Not that I haven't enjoyed how much publicity we've been getting, but even after everything, there's something about it all that feels...wrong."
Kanato:"You worry too much, Hibiki-chan. Our lives have never been better. But still, it would help if we had some to help us organize our goals so we didn't have to strain ourselves as much."
Hibiki:"We have been looking for a manager, but have gotten no response."
Kanato:"We should still be looking though. It's not like a promising solution is going to come rolling by."
And just then, by sheer coincidence, a limousine comes and pulls up by the two. The back window comes down to reveal a pudgy-looking man with black hair, a goatee, and wearing sunglasses and a white business suit. On his face was a mischievous smile as the two looked at each other with confusion.
?:"Hey there! I've seen you doing some magic for a while now and it's safe to say that you lot have some talent! I think I have a deal just for you."
Kanato:"Uh...who the heck are you?"
?:"Oh, right. I haven't properly introduced myself. I am Eito Chisaga, professional manager in all things music and entertainment. I'm looking for some up-and-coming stars that have the potential to be playing for a couple...thousands of fans."
Hibiki:"Thousands?!"
Eito:"A million, if you're lucky. You two have already shown that you're great musicians, and a lot of people are already beginning to love ya. How about I give you the chance to make it so that the entire world loves ya?"
The two almost couldn't believe it. And there weren't entirely sure what drove them to sign up right away, but the next thing they knew, from opening acts to main events, they were performing in front of the biggest crowds that could fill stadiums, everyone there in love with their music. Eito seemed to help them as generously as they hoped for, even making promises of their very first album to come out. But then...that's when the truth came out. A few years later, Kanato and Hibiki were looking less and less like their former selves, Kanato now having a buzzcut and rocking a biker-like attire with a spiked leather jacket, a black shirt with a skull, and crossed lightning bolts on it, chains at his belt and tight black pants with biker boots, and Hibiki having a bit of a trashy look with a torn white tank top, a black short-shorts and fishnet stockings with knee length boots, and her hair in a ponytail with some red highlights, as well as some black makeup on her face. And as of right now, both of them were not looking too happy as they were facing their so-called manager in his office. Seems like the promises he made were but dust in the air.
Kanato:"(slams fists on table) What the hell do you mean you're cutting us off?! We just started to get our recognition going!"
Eito:"You two were...good to begin with. But, your time has come and gone. The two of you are just not as good anymore."
Hibiki:"Just not as good anymore?! We're still at the time and we attend to stay the way!"
Those two didn't know it, but the effects of the deal they made had set in. The more they became acquainted with newfound gifts and abilities, the more it changed them...corrupted them. The devil needed new advocates, and this was the result. Two innocent lives and turned inside, leaving nothing but shelves of their past selves as they became rebellious punks whose desire to be like rulers in music was matched by their need for publicity and worship. Though it seemed Eito didn't care, as during his time as their manager, he managed to do well profiting off of them. But it seemed to start going down. He figured it was best to cut and run now and leave the two with nothing while he has everything.
Eito:"Let's make one thing clear. I bought you two, and now that you've outdone your usefulness, I'm shutting you down. You can take whatever junk you have left to own out the door if you want. But don't bother coming back, begging for a bill or two. Neither of you is worth it anymore."
Growling like animals, that didn't sit well with the two, who did everything this guy asked and expected to get something out of it. And now he's planning to just take it all away from them? They didn't think so, as Kanato took his guitar, raised his free arm, and sent it down onto the strings, which glowed violently. Eito didn't realize that the last thing he would see in this life, and surges of electricity coming it him before his whole world turned white. The police didn't know what exactly killed him but tied it down to an electrical fire since all they found were his smoldering remains. As for the musical duo that was tied to him, they just seemed to have just disappeared, along with all his money. Years went by, the world continue as it did, and battles were fought, fates were tempted...
10 years later, in Niigata Japan, the Fuji Rock Festival was held with a lot of bands auditions from around the world auditioning to be a part of the concerts that would be held at the Denka Big Swan Stadium. A few familiar faces who participated in the last tournament were looking to be a part of the music festival, including people like Athena, the C.Y.S., and even Iori Yagami were looking to see if he could fill in a spot for auditions. Wasn't exactly another tournament, but at least it was gonna be fun, as some of the fighters could rock on and enjoy their lives.
But little did the realize what was coming their way. Something, or someone, who planned for a decade to make their grand reappearance. Soon, they would have the whole world rocking on, as the fighters would soon come to discover.
