Behold! A one shot I thought up of. I had this idea. And as a person with the memory of a cat with dementia, I decided to put it down now. I do not own Warhammer or HotD. If I did, the timelines would make less sense.

Blood for the Blood God

No matter what anyone said, this was the best day to be alive. Sure, it was the end of the world. Zombies were actively chewing on what was left of society, and what few morals were left in the world were leaving people. But this was the perfect time to start a cult! Hatanaka Daiki had been receiving dreams recently of glorious slaughter. Blood flowed in rivers, fire burned endlessly, and skulls piled into mountains. Now all he had to do was find "willing" converts, and show them the glory of Khorne. This led to the current situation.

"HAHAHAHAHA BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!"

Hatanaka Daiki was cleaving through the dead with abandon. Using nothing more than two chair legs as improvised clubs, he smashed the heads in of the dead. A red light started to filter into his irises. Beyond the horde, was a small group of people gathering near a bus. He was dimly aware of Shido-sensei and his students following him and his trail of destruction. Some looked disturbed and edged away from him. One of the students on the other side of the horde, she looked like Busujima-senpai, looked interested in his attack and started to kill from the back of the horde. A male student with black hair followed her, trying to get her onto the bus. Another female student with orange hair tried to grab the male student, now labeled student 1. She seemed incensed about Shido who was following behind him.

Hatanaka Daiki felt a smile start to creep up on his face. This was the most fun he has had in forever. One of his improvised clubs had been bent backwards and snapped, leaving him with one club. His smile lessened slightly, this would put his kill rate down quite a bit. Before he knew it they had made it to the bus and he was out of things to kill. Giving one last sad look back to the school filled with the dead, he boarded the bus. Hatanaka Daiki sat near the middle and surveyed the students. Of the 20-ish students on the bus, only 5 looked ready to fight (not including himself), and only 7 or 8 looked like they could be brought up to fighting shape. It was a disappointing start.

While Hatanaka Daiki was thinking about growing his cult, two distinct groups had formed in the bus. They seemed to use Hatanaka Daiki as a line to separate the two of them. There was the group with Shido at its head, and the other group with no clear leader. Then Shido started to speak.

"We must have a leader, someone who can make sure we all survive the following year's. Someone intelligent! With experience."

Hatanaka Daiki tuned him out. It was all the sorts of lies a cultist Tzeentch would spout. Then Shido started to directly address students.

"Busujima, surely you are the leader of your group."

"No, we have no leader."

"Well that just won't do, we need to be unified."

The group Shido led started to clap for him. Hatanaka Daiki just looked at them with confusion. How would words help, when the dead were on them? How could one use words to eat? To survive? Shido was obviously delusional and would need to be put down soon before he made Hatanaka Daiki's converts become stupid.

"And who are you?" Shido had now addressed Hatanaka Daiki.

Hatanaka Daiki smirked, "Hatanaka Daiki, disciple of Khorne."

Shido looked at Daiki in confusion.

"Who is Khorne Hatanaka-san?" Shido said, trying the name of the blood god on his tongue. "Some sort of fighting teacher?"

"No, Khorne is my god. The god of war, hatred, rage, wrath, blood, martial honor, strength and murder," Daiki said, his grin turning into a full toothy smile. "He is the one who will make sure we survive. Words will not work on the dead. They cannot be reasoned with. The only way we are getting out of this, is in blood. Either theirs or ours." At this point Daiki's eyes were slightly glowing red. It was barely noticeable in the midday light, but Saeko and Saya both noticed.

Saya was slightly disturbed by his speech, but intellectually knew it made sense. She could not use her name to make one of them stop. Her status, wealth, and family power meant nothing in the face of the apocalypse.

Saeko on the other hand felt emboldened by Daiki's speech. It spoke to her on a primal level that she couldn't explain. Strength of body would carry the day in this new world.

Shido was thoroughly disturbed. He had been hoping that Daiki could be part of his group. His plan had been ingenious. He would be able to live like a god, having beautiful girls sexually pleasure him, while he had other people do all of the work. Now Daiki was putting that into jeopardy with his little religion. Already, he could see Tsunoda looking interested and many more looking to Daiki for protection.

"Do you expect us to believe your god will protect you from them?" Perfect. There was nothing Daiki would be able to say to counter that.

Daiki's smile became downright feral. "Only those with the ability to protect themselves are deserving of Khorne's protection. And those that prove themselves worthy will have his servants help."

Some of the students blanched at that. Shido internally smirked. Daiki had just shot himself in the foot. Then Tsunoda walked past him. Shido's internal smile fell. Tsunoda was supposed to be the muscle for his group.

"How do I join you in serving Khorne?" Tsunokda asked nervously.

"I just need a drop of your blood." Daiki said, his feral look returning slightly to normal.

Tsunoda nodded and reached his hand out to Daiki. Daiki reached into his bag and pulled out a small folding knife and a cup. He grabbed Tsunoda's hand and pricked his thumb. A small drop of blood formed and then fell into the cup. Then Daiki turned to the rest of the bus.

"Will anyone else join us? Will anyone else embrace the slaughter?"

Saeko stepped forward and received the same treatment as Tsunoda. Takashi looked shocked at Saeko. Surprisingly Saya stepped forward. Khota came next followed by a couple of male students and Yuuki from Shido's group. Now with a group 8 strong, they were the beginning of a true cult. Daiki nodded to his group and drank the blood in the cup. Everyone recoiled at that until the convert's eyes started to glow red. Daikis eyes glowed more brightly as his smile turned feral once more. For those who doubted Daiki's words, they were shocked. Shido had thought that Daiki was doing something similar to what he was doing. The rest of Shido's group looked at Shido and Daiki, as if comparing the two. Some broke away from Shido's group and joined Daiki. Rei went to Daiki as well to get converted. Takashi tried to talk her out of it but ultimately failed. Remembering his promise to Hisashi, Takashi followed Rei. As the last of the converts had their blood drank by Daiki they all turned to Shido and what was left of his group. Shido had himself and 6 more students left. They were huddled by the back of the bus in fear as the cultists of Khorne started to mill about. Even Shizuka, had ultimately been converted with the promise of cleansing the world of disease (Nurgle was tolerated at best, but the zombie virus was the last straw).

Shido nervously looked around, trying to find a way out of the situation he was in. the windows might work for getting out, but then he would be accepting defeat. "How do you plan on making good on your promises Hatanaka-san? Surely it will take time and man-power that you don't have."

"We have all of the time in the world. And as for manpower, it is as simple as finding converts or summoning daemons."

Shido shuddered at the summoning part mentioned. He had hoped that by poking holes in Daikis plan, he could get his group back, but they were obviously already too far gone. Shido sighed.

"Let's go! Slaughter awaits us!"

Daiki's call stopped the milling as the cultists started to filter out of the bus. Once the last one was out Shido quickly raced to the front with the last of his students and closed the door. Shido found that the keys were still in the ignition and quickly started to drive away. Looking back in the mirror, Shido saw the cultists ripping into a group of Them. Some were killing Them with their bare hands, and others were already getting their hands on improvised weapons. Shido shivered. He would find people to add to his group later.

The cult was coming along well. They had been approaching Daiki's house for a bit now. The promise of real weapons kept the group moving forward. Saeko, Tsunoda, and Rei had thrown themselves into the fray and were quickly becoming Daiki's inner circle.

As they turned the corner, they saw Daikis house at their end. Quickly running down the street they filed into the house and closed the door. Daiki led them through the normal looking house until they reached a closet. Stored in the closet were an assortment of weapons, armor, and clothing. Daiki grabbed a set of clothes, some chainmail, and bracers before walking into the bathroom and getting changed. The rest of the group grabbed what clothing looked like it would fit them and spread out in the house to change. Khota was a little disappointed at the lack of ranged weapons while Saeko was saddened by the lack of true katanas. Daiki came out of the bathroom and walked to the closet once more, the group having reconvened. Daiki grabbed a chest plate and laid it out on the bed. He grabbed his bloodied clothes and used them to paint the symbol of Khorne on it. Daiki then put the chestplate on and then grabbed a banner. It had the symbol of Khorne painted on it, and skulls decorated the rest of the banner. Daiki attached it to his back and then grabbed a boar spear. The rest of the group picked whatever weapons they could get their hands on.

Saeko settled with a zweihander, Khota had a boar spear, Takashi had a machete, Rei took a partisan, Saya carried a mace, Shizuka took a battle ax, Tsunoda had a warhammer, Yuuki had a sword and shield, and the rest of the group carried an assortment of swords, axes, warhammers, and spears. Some of the group wore armor, and a cultist with two axes went shirtless.

Exiting the house, they looked out upon the city. Parts of it were on fire, people were panicking as the dead ate them alive and above it all, the gods were laughing.

"BLOOD!"

"FOR THE BLOOD GOD!"

"SKULLS!"

"FOR THE SKULL THRONE!"

"SOULS!"

"FOR THE SOUL EATER!"

The small group of cultists charged into a large group of the dead, and began the slaughter anew. They had weapons to test. Skills to hone, and many "willing" test subjects. The link to the Khorne that the cult had corrupted their minds, making them little more than blood drunk killers. Bezerkers, fighting for blood. They eventually couldn't tell friend from foe, the living and undead being put to the blade.

"KILL! MAIM! BURN! KILL! MAIM! BURN! KILL! MAIM! BURN!"

The cult chanted whilst fighting. The collection of skulls was starting to pile up. Blood pooled at the feet of the cultists. The chanting brought in more of the undead, which would lead to more chanting, and so on and so forth. The endless slaughter continued throughout the day and into the night. The cultists advanced throughout the city, always advancing to the fight. Behind them, piles of butchered corpses laid, congealed blood forming a slick layer on the street. At some point, one of the cultists got bit. This caused Daiki to give an insane laugh.

"HE CARES NOT FROM WHENCE TO FLOWS! ONLY THAT IT FLOWS!"

This brought their moral right back up and they continued the slaughter. Eventually they ran out of targets in their area so they broke into a random house, killed its occupants and rested. Daiki in his boredom, started to hang corpses from the balcony with the symbol of Khorne carved into their chests with an ax. Most people had been avoiding their house as a result of this except for a group of two. It was a man and his daughter. He begged and begged to be let in. Daiki let them in with open arms and before half an hour passed, they were part of the cult.

The cult felt rested enough by the time morning came around. With that, they all started getting ready for the next slaughter. Before they could start though, Saya started to chant. She had no idea what the words meant, but she repeated them as they came to her mind anyways. In the middle of the yard they were gathering in, a purple portal started to form. As it fully formed, several bloodletters came pouring out from the portal. Daiki pointed his spear toward the host of the undead and gave an inarticulate cry of rage. The Daemons and cult joined his cry and charged.
