Kalego sighed as he mentally prepared himself for the ever-troublesome Misfit Class. It's been two months since he found out about Iruma's secret, and the boy has become more open and relaxed around him despite the intimidating atmosphere the teacher carries. Strangely enough, Kalego wasn't displeased by Iruma's sunny personality, and the boy would indulge him with stories about the human world and the good places he's been that didn't involve getting in danger. On the days he missed when he was sick, Kalego kept him in his office to help him go over topics he needed to get caught up on. On those days, Iruma would bring over some food he and Opera made earlier that morning as a way of showing gratitude. As a bonus, the Chairdemon began raising his salary and has not docked it for any annoying reason. So, all in all, his life has gotten a lot easier. Or at least less irritating, he still has to worry about the boy's secret getting out.

Speaking of the Chairdemon, he and Opera had to leave to visit one of the Three Heroes. Which meant he'll be watching over Iruma until they get back.

He opened the door to his classroom in Royal One, "Alright you miscreants, take your seats and be silent!"

"Aww, but Teach, we got like five more minutes before class starts." Shax Lied whined while balancing on his tail.

"I don't care, and don't make me repeat myself." Kalego warned as his student grumbled before going back to their seats.

All but three were not present.

"Where are the trio?" Kalego asked the class when he didn't see a hint of blue, green or pink.

Jazz shrugged, "Got me."

The door to the classroom opened, and Asmodeus peeked hi head inside. "Hello Professor Kalego. I'm afraid Master Iruma won't be attending classes today."

"Oh, and why is that?" Kalego asked, waiting to hear whatever half-assed excuse these delinquents are trying to pull.

Asmodeus looked hesitant, "Well, the thing is-GAH!" He was suddenly shoved forward as the door slammed open by a familiar lime who used her foot to kick open an entrance since her arms were carrying something.

"Here he is!" Clara announced with her wild personality.

Asmodeus growled as he picked himself up off the floor and glared, "You were supposed to hide him you fool!"

"But our fellow Misfits won't hurt him, plus he's cute, look at him!" Clara held up what appeared to be a child about 3-4 years old with blue hair and blue eyes. His school uniform was now too big for him to fit as he lost his limbs within the much too long sleeves.

Lied gaped with the rest of the class, "Wait, that can't be-"

Jazz's mouth falls open, "But it is, there's no mistaking it."

Elizabetta placed a hand on her cheek and stared adoringly at the child. "Awww, how cute~!"

A little hand waved, or tried to within the long sleeve covering and dangling from his arm. "Um, hewwo ebbyone, it's me, Iwuma."

This action and the sound of his voice caused many of them to go 'awe'.

Kalego's jaw dropped completely at the sight of his now small-much smaller-student. 'Not again.'

"What. Happened?" Kalego barely got the words out as he stared at the little boy who was being held in Clara's arms. Given she's an older sister, she has plenty of practice.

"I swear, it was Valac's fault." Asmodeus pointed at Clara as he turned to Kalego.

"Care to explain?" Kalego turned to Clara who is now the center of attention. As usual.

"Well, I tried out an old recipe I thought Iruma-kins would like. When he ate it, he turned into a little kid." Clara explained like it was an everyday occurrence.

"Oh, and did you know it would make him like this?" Kalego asked through gritted teeth as he recalled the last time Iruma was turned into an infant. Opera never let him live that down.

"Yep, I wanted him to come to my house and play, and playtime is the best when you're a kid." Clara stated as she held Iruma tenderly.

"And you didn't think to wait until after school?" Kalego seethed as tick marks appeared on his head.

"Not until you mentioned it."

Kalego pinched the bridge of his nose when he felt that headache coming on.

"There's a bright side to this. It's only temporary and will last for twelve hours." Asmodeus stated, much to Kalego's relief. "Therefore, I shall take it upon myself to look after Master Iruma for the entire day and watch over him at my home." He vowed as he placed a hand on his chest before approaching little Iruma.

Clara took a step back and pouted, "No way, Iruma-kins is mine, he's staying with me for tonight!"

"Like hell I'll trust you alone with Master Iruma, for all I know, you'll just feed him some more of those strange concoctions!" Asmodeus glared at her.

"Hmph, you snooze, you lose~." Clara sang as she ran around the classroom while Asmodeus chased her, ordering her to hand Iruma over.

The Misfit Class watched in amusement.

"Silence!" Kalego's voice echoed throughout the school, stopping Clara and Asmodeus in their tracks.

"You two, front and center!" Kalego ordered before the aforementioned demons stood before their teacher.

Iruma, still in Clara's arms, looked up at their teacher with large blue eyes. "I'm weally sowwee Pwoffeso'."

Half of the students squealed at the sound.

Kalego sighed as he patted Iruma's head like a puppy. "You're not at fault here Iruma."

Iruma smiled in relief before Kalego removed his hand and turned to Clara, "Valac, some clothes for him if you please?"

Clara saluted, "Roger!"

She patted her pocket and pulled out a onesie that was basically a costume of Kalego's fluffy familiar form.

"Unless you want detention for the rest of the year, you better not make him wear that." Kalego growled as he stared at the offending outfit.

Clara pouted, "No fair." She tossed the outfit aside and pulled out another outfit that was basically a child sized Babylus School uniform.

"Hm, that's better." Kalego nodded in approval.

Iruma tugged on the bow of Clara's uniform, "I can change on my own Cwawa."

Clara's heart melted at the sheer cuteness of Iruma before she set him down and handed him his new clothes.

Iruma walked around the large desk to change behind but ended up tripping over his oversized clothes. Blushing in embarrassment, he crawled the rest of the way with his clothes in one arm as he disappeared underneath the teacher's desk. One by one, his regular school uniform was tossed outside the desk. He marched out in his new clothes.

"I' weady fo' cwass Pwoffesso'." Iruma announced, trying to stand tall and proud despite his miniature size.

"Very well then. But first," Kalego turned to Clara, "Valac, a small desk please."

Clara produced just that as she set it close to the chalkboard for little Iruma to see.

"Perfect, take your seat right there, and we'll begin our lesson."

Iruma sat in his little desk, staring at the teacher and the board.

Clara and Asmodeus skulked back to their seats, far away from Iruma. "No fair, I wanted to hold him in my lap while we're learning." Clara pouted as she stared forlornly at the boy.

Iruma felt her gaze and smiled comfortingly at her and Asmodeus.

"So kind and benevolent, even as an infant." Asmodeus praised his little master before class began.

Kalego sighed, this is going to be one of those days.

Class ended, and Iruma tried to go to his next class. Keyword: tried.

Due to Iruma's small size, his book bag is now too heavy for him to carry. Even when he strapped it on his back, the weight was too much, and he ended up on his back like turtle who can't get up. Quickly unstrapping himself from the bag, he began to drag it behind him with both hands.

"Heave, ho, heave, ho, heave, ho..." Iruma grunted with the effort as he progressed to the door.

The Misfits and teacher watched the effort little Iruma put into his mission.

"I feel bad for thinking his struggle is cute." Jazz stated with a grin as he recorded on his phone.

Asmodeus stepped forward and knelt beside his best friend, "Master Iruma, please allow me to carry you and your bag to your next class."

Iruma paused and smiled, "I's okee, I gots it." Then resumed his journey.

Iruma didn't even make it to the door before he was scooped up in someone's arms. He looked up and found his teacher carrying him. "Oh, hewwo Pwoffeso'."

"You're dismissed from classes for the rest of the day."

"What?/No fair!/Why?" The Misfits exclaimed at the same time.

"Bu' Pwofesso' Kawego, I' be in twouble." Iruma said as Kalego carried him and threw the book bag over his shoulder then proceeded to the door.

"That ship has already sailed." Kalego then turned to the Misfit Class, "And you lot, get to your classes!"

He left Royal One with little Iruma in his arms. He passed by many students who gawked at the all too familiar blue head that has shrunken to pint size. Iruma buried his face into Kalego's shoulder to get away from the stares, but that made them go awe.

"Um, Pwoffesso', I can walk." Iruma's voice muffled in his clothes.

"Forget it, your legs aren't long enough to keep up with me. You'd only struggle. I won't have you wasting your energy." Kalego grumbled as he glared at the students who scattered upon meeting his gaze.

"First off, we need to contact the Chairdemon. He picked a hell of a time to go visit the Three Heroes." He stated, cursing his luck even more.

"Will Gwandpa be mad?" Iruma asked as he pulled his head away from Kalego's shoulder to meet his gaze.

Kalego sighed, "Yep."

Sullivan's reaction was as expected.

"BUHAHAHAHA!" Sullivan wailed as he stared at the video call featuring Kalego and little Iruma. "THIS IS NOT FAIR! I WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH MY GRANDSON WHILE HE'S THIS TINY!" He blew his nose noisily into a handkerchief.

Kalego's eyes twitched as he sat in his office staring at the screen. He was currently sitting on one of the sofa's with Iruma in his lap to keep him from wandering.

"Yes, it was an unfortunate incident involving Valac's recipes. How and where she got it, I have no clue. But this is only temporary for-" He checked his watch, "-ten more hours."

"He'll be all grown up by the time I come back!" Sullivan exclaimed as he practically strained against the video screen to get closer to his grandson.

"In addition, I made the decision to exempt him from all classes today until it wears off." Kalego informed the Chairdemon.

"Bu' I' no' sick." Iruma lolled his head back against his teacher's chest to look up at his face.

Sullivan sobbed at how adorable his grandson sounds.

Kalego glanced down at his student. "Maybe not, but you are currently in a severely weakened state. While I trust your friends to protect you with their lives-" He lowered his voice, "-we can't take the chances of them finding out."

Iruma flinched slightly, knowing exactly what his teacher was talking about.

"Okee." Iruma lowered his head and sighed.

"Still, we'd be more assured if Balam was around helping you out with this." Opera stated as they patted a still sobbing Sullivan on the back.

"Unfortunately, he took his class on an excursion to the Firerat Valleys for field study." Kalego sighed, cursing his luck even more considering his ally would get a kick out of studying a small human child.

"That soun' fun." Iruma commented with a small pout.

Sullivan all but exploded.

"THAT'S IT! I'M COMING HOME IRUMA!" Sullivan declared as he made to leave, only to be held back by Opera who restrained him with very little effort.

"Excuse me, sir. But that meeting with Lady Leviathan is about to commence." They stated then turned to the screen. "Watch over him Kalego."

Kalego nodded before the screen went black.

"So, wha' will I do if I canno' atten' cwasses?" Iruma asked as he glanced behind him at his teacher.

"You'll stay by my side for the entire day while I'm teaching. It's only a couple of classes. Then we'll pick up any work you missed, and we'll catch you up before the day is over." Kalego explained his game plan as Iruma listened intently, nodding in affirmation.

Mentally, Kalego prayed that everything will go as smoothly without incident.

Kalego's eye twitched as he struggled to teach the class who were still gawking at little Iruma who sat in a chair close by while reading a book. The way they were all staring put the Hellhound on edge as he gritted his teeth.

"-and I hope you were all paying attention instead of eyeing the little tyke!"

This seemed to snap the students out of their trances.

"We-We were paying attention, we swear." One of the students hastily exclaimed in fear of the teacher.

"Really? Then what were the fundamentals I was talking about?"

This made the students pause as they couldn't recall what the teacher was talking about a moment ago.

'Morons.' Kalego thought in irritation.

"We're sorry, it's hard to learn anything when there's a little cutie sitting right there!" One of the female students gushed as she watched Iruma with sparkling eyes. She looked ready to leap out of her seat and crush the kid into a hug.

Kalego growled in his throat, making the students tense up.

'Guess there's on option left.' He thought to himself, knowing this would damage his reputation.

"Iruma, step over here quickly."

Little Iruma climbed off the chair and toddled over to his teacher.

"Yes Pwoffeso'?"

Everyone's hearts skipped a beat at the sound that left Iruma's mouth. His mispronunciation is just painfully cute.

Kalego didn't say a word as he picked the little boy up and held him close to his person. This action caught the students by surprise as Kalego glared sternly at them.

"I trust this will motivate you morons to pay closer attention." Kalego turned back to the board with Iruma looking over his shoulder at the older kids and waving apologetically at them. "Now, let's continue this lesson."

Strangely enough, the students actually paid closer attention to Kalego's teachings as he held Iruma the whole time.

Lunch hour came around, and with it, a new form of headache.

"Is this really Iruma!" Robin Bars, the Familiar Instructor, exclaimed upon seeing Iruma with Kalego eating in the teachers' lounge.

"Yes." Kalego answered, not looking at his underling who continuously gaped at the miniature student currently eating his food. Though the child had to sit upon stacks of books to reach the table.

"But how?"

"Valac."

"Why is he with you?"

"Chairdemon's orders."

Kalego's one worded answers didn't seem to deter the second green annoyance in his life.

Robin, as usual, didn't take the hint or read the room as he took a seat beside little Iruma for closer observation.

"Wow, I knew he was cute, but I never imagined he'd be this adorable." Robin gushed with starry eyes as he leaned closer to Iruma.

Kalego growled low in his throat in warning at his junior.

But it got worse.

"So it's true." Kalego frowned in annoyance when Dali Dantalion appeared alongside March Marbas and Orias Oswell. "The de facto leader of the Misfit Class turned into a little kid."

Iruma swallowed his food and dabbed his mouth with a napkin then greeted his other teachers, "Hewwo Pwoffesos."

Dali had a very wide smile, March's mouth quivered, while Orias tipped his hat up with his finger and grinned.

"I feel healed." March sighed, placing a hand on his heart at the sight of sweet innocent Iruma as a baby.

"Aww, you didn't greet me!" Robin whined with a pout.

Iruma turned to Robin, "I sowwee Pwosseso' Robin."

Instantaneously, Robin stopped pouting, "Ohhhhh, I can't stay mad at you." He exclaimed, trembling on the spot from overwhelming cuteness.

Dali sat to Kalego's left since the spot next to Iruma is currently occupied. "Well, this definitely explains why Iruma hasn't showed up for classes."

Iruma turned to Dali, looking guilty, "I sowwee."

Dali grinned, "It's okay, we forgive you. Still, it's very mean of Kalego keeping you all to himself in all your cuteness." He then turned to the aforementioned teacher, "I even heard you couldn't get the students to pay attention unless you were holding little Iruma in your arms while giving the lecture."

Kalego scoffed, "It was the only way I can get those brats to focus on today's lesson. Iruma, don't you dare apologize, it's not your fault they have a low attention span." He said, watching Iruma from the corner of his eyes when the little one looked like he was about to speak.

Iruma closed his mouth, "Okee."

"Holding a cute kid during class has got to be the best teaching method." Dali clapped his hands together as though in prayer and faced Kalego, "Can I have him for my next class please?"

Kalego glared, "No."

"Oh, come on, just loan him to me for like a half-hour. I'll throw in some twenty bucks." Dali said as his wallet appeared seemingly out of nowhere.

"Not even for two seconds." Kalego gritted his teeth in annoyance at how Dali was trying to bargain for Iruma like a product.

Iruma watched with wide blinking eyes as he continued to eat. Robin was still smiling and petting the blue locks, looking relaxed and peaceful.

What blue and green didn't notice were hands sneaking up behind the little boy to grab him.

Static crackled around Kalego before he snapped his fingers and called Cerberion.

"GAHHHH!" An outcry and a stomp from behind Iruma made the little boy jump in his seat before everyone at the table turned to see Orias smushed to the ground beneath a mighty claw of the three headed giant dog. His hat flew right off of him.

"I told you it was a bad idea." Marbas sighed as he stared at his not-so-lucky colleague.

"What. Are you. Doing?" Kalego questioned with his arms crossed as he glared down at the blonde teacher.

"Please, Kalego, my classroom is filled with drooling zombies, and little Iruma can kickstart their brains with his cuteness." Orias begged as he struggled under the weight of the giant beast.

"Absolutely not!"

"You're such an overprotective father. It's actually kinda sweet." Dali commented as he leaned his chin into his hand.

Kalego's eyes widened as he turned to Dali teasing smile, "What did you call me!"

"Awww, Kalego doesn't want to share is precious son with anyone. That's so cute!" Robin exclaimed, looking proud and inspired by his senior. Once again, he did not realize the danger he put himself in.

It is at this point where Kalego reached his breaking point.

Grabbing both Dali and Robin by their faces, a dark menacing aura enveloped them as evil glared right at them.

"Silence!"

The two fools for teachers were given their comeuppance while Iruma watched, somehow used to the chaos.

Momonoki Morax was not prepared to see Kalego so suddenly, especially when he's holding a very small version of Iruma in his arms. She blushed at the sight of her former mentor and current crush then stood up from her desk to greet them.

"G-Good afternoon, Professor Kalego. How can I help you?" She stammered out as Kalego came forward and placed little Iruma on the teacher's desk and opened up his student's book bag.

"I apologize for coming by without scheduling, but if you could pass me some class work Iruma missed, we'd greatly appreciate it." Kalego explained to his fellow teacher.

Momonoki perked up, "Oh, I have them right here actually. Valac and Asmodeus already informed of what happened to Iruma."

"Hm, so they weren't useless after all." Kalego commented as Momonoki opened the drawer on her desk.

"I' weal sowwee fo' missin' cwass Pwoffesso' Mo-noki." Iruma apologized as his feet dangled off the desk.

Momonoki smiled warmly at the cute child who still retained his sweet and considerate disposition. Holding the papers against her chest, she rested a gentle hand on Iruma's soft blue hair.

"It's okay Iruma, this was not in your control. So, don't worry about it." Momonoki said in the softest tone she has.

Iruma smiled up at her, "Okee."

Momonoki fought so hard to maintain her dignity and not squeal like a little girl in front of Kalego. Why did Iruma have to be so cute?

Taking a deep breath to stay in control and not pull the adorable tyke in her arms, she presented one of the assignments Iruma must do. "You'll need to read Chapter 4 from pages 86-92, then you'll have to write a summary on the key points within said chapter. Any questions?"

Iruma shook his head, "No, I undastan'."

"That's good." Momonoki said as she gave the papers to Kalego who then filed them away in Iruma's book bag.

After strapping the bag to his shoulder, he picked Iruma up again and propped him on his hip.

Momonoki could no longer stifle a giggle that escaped her at the sight.

"You're laughing."

Momonoki blushed and panicked, "I-I wasn't making fun of you! Honest! It's just-just..."

Kalego raised an eyebrow, "Hm?"

"...You look really natural. The way you're holding Iruma, it's as though you've always held him like that." She smiled warmly at them, "Honestly, being a father suits you greatly."

Normally this would warrant a 'silence' from Kalego considering the last two fools who inferred on his relationship with Iruma as such were given severe punishments. But Momonoki said it without mocking or teasing him, instead she was giving him praise.

"I see. Thank you."

Kalego then left the classroom with Iruma still in his arms.

Momonoki watched them leave and waited until they were out of earshot.

The Basic Magic teacher squealed through muffled lips, red in the face and a wide smile. She even did a little dance. Though it was unbecoming of a teacher at such a prestige school, Momonoki could care less. She was able to see another side of Kalego, one that showed what a caring person he is underneath all the terror he exudes. Seeing him with little Iruma was downright cute. She wasn't wrong when she said Kalego is a natural at fatherhood.

Momonoki froze as her mind began to wander to images of herself holding a baby that resembled Kalego. Her face exploded in a blush before she passed out from utter joy.

At Sullivan's Mansion, Iruma sat in the library with Kalego as they went over the topics he missed the entire day.

"I should really consider us fortunate that your mind still retains its memories and maturity level in spite of your age regression." Kalego commented as he scanned Iruma's work with a careful eye, then deemed it finished.

"Actu'ee, I a'ways be wike dis."

Kalego froze, "Oh right, lack of adult supervision forced you to grow up." He said under his breath, silently cursing the boy's human 'parents'.

Iruma, as though sensing his thoughts, placed a hand on Kalego's arm, "I' okee. I' oba id."

Kalego stared down at the boy. Even if Iruma says he's over his parents' obvious abuse of his kindness and innocence, doesn't mean what happened to him should be discarded.

"All the same, you should be wiser by now than you were back then." Kalego stated to his student.

"Yes sir."

Kalego smiled slightly as he continued to help the boy with his homework until he had to prepare dinner for them. Iruma ate his food while sitting atop multiple stacks of books.

After dinner, it was time for Iruma to take his bath. The little one insisted to take one on his own, and Kalego wasn't going to intrude on his privacy. But he is going to stand close by in case the kid drowned in the much too big bathtub.

"Iruma, are you almost done?" Kalego asked from behind the closed door.

The door opened not a moment later, and out stepped Iruma standing in his silk pajamas.

All grown up.

"Yeah, I'm finished." Iruma said, towel still on his head as he dried his still damp hair.

"Hm, the effects have finally worn off." Kalego stated as he touched the top of Iruma's head. "Although, I think you got a bit smaller."

"I don't feel any different than I was before. So, I'm fine."

"At least your speech has returned to normal." Kalego said with relief. Anytime little Iruma spoke, almost every demon, teacher and student, lost their minds like bumbling idiots.

Iruma looked a little sheepish, "Yeah, that was kind of embarrassing."

Kalego sighed and scratched the back of his head. "I'm just glad it's finally over."

Kalego and Iruma went to the latter's bedroom.

"Thanks for watching over me the whole day. I didn't mean to trouble you like that."

"No more than you usually do. Although, it could've been a lot worse had I left you with those two." Kalego grumbled mostly to himself.

"They'll understand when I talk to them."

They finally arrived at Iruma's door.

"I had a great day today."

"Oh? Why's that?"

Iruma smiled brightly up at his teacher, "I got to spend quality time with you."

Kalego was caught off guard by how Iruma said that. He didn't expect the boy to actually enjoy being carried around to all of his teacher's classes. Normally little kids find it boring and excruciating. Although, given Iruma's personality and how he just goes with the flow of everything, he really shouldn't be surprised.

"Well, have a good night Professor." Iruma says before he entered his bedroom to get a good night's rest.

Kalego turned away from the door and let out a long sigh as he trudged to the guest room within the manor.

After changing into his nightwear, he flopped onto the bed, feeling more exhausted than before. He's been on his guard more than usual when Iruma became small. If he was being honest with himself, seeing Iruma in such a vulnerable state scared him. The boy could easily be killed if not careful.

'He could die here in the Netherworld.' Kalego mused to himself as he stared at the ceiling, 'But then again, he'd die in the human world too.'

It's been two months since he discovered that secret, yet the knowledge of what Iruma's parents put him through since infancy never failed to fill him with seething anger. Even though Iruma assured him that not all human families are like that to their children, he still cannot understand why any mother or father would do that to their own offspring, to Iruma of all people.

Kalego clenched his teeth as he imagined little Iruma, smaller than a four-year-old should be, left behind to fend for himself and work himself to the bone for ungrateful people who would dare call themselves parents.

'Iruma is much stronger now than he was before.' Kalego thought to himself as he turned over on his side. Though he still considered the boy foolish, he had to respect the kid for enduring the first fourteen years of (human) hell.

The hellhound closed his eyes and went to sleep.

"Why are we out of mugs?" Kalego asked as he stood in front the savior for the Teachers of Babylus, the coffee station.

"Oh, here's one." Dali slid beside Kalego with his own caffeinated beverage in hand as he presented an empty mug that hasn't been used yet.

Kalego took it off Dali's hand as the hellhound's former mentor smirked behind his cup.

"Thank you, Profe-" Kalego froze when he turned the white mug over and saw a picture staring back at him.

It was himself holding little Iruma while he taught the class. The boy was propped on the teacher's hip and little hands held the capelet around Kalego's shoulders. The captions above the image read '#1 Professor Papa.'

Kalego shook with anger as he stared at the mug that was basically mocking him.

"I paid one of the students to snap a picture so I can give you a gift. Turned out better than I imagined." Dali said, looking proud of himself.

Kalego gently placed the mug down despite his shaking hands and glared at Dali.

"Professor Dali?"

"Hm?" Dali blinked as he stared at the dark aura surrounding Kalego.

"Die."

"Eh? Wait, I thought it would make you happy!" Dali exclaimed as Kalego summoned Cerberion and pummeled his fellow teacher.

I seriously COULD NOT resist this for much longer. I started this months ago, but I finally finished. I personally enjoy the teachers at Babylus and how the author fleshes them out to be more that side characters. I added in that Momonoki and Kalego moment because there aren't many stories featuring them as a pairing. That ending with Dali is just too perfect not to leave in.

Anyway, thank you all for reading, leave me your comments below.
