I've been reading a lot of Inuyasha fics again. This is just a short one-shot that came to mind. Enjoy.
The InuTachi were all settled down for the night, a light breeze making the leaves dance on the trees. Kagome was already curled up in her sleeping bag, having expended a lot of energy in the final battle with Naraku. Miroku and Sango were whispering quietly with each other, a softly purring Kirara in Sango's lap. Inuyasha sat in his usual place in a tree when Kagome first began to grumble in her sleep. "N- no." She mumbled.
Inuyasha landed on the forest floor silently, even as Shippo blinked open his eyes in her suddenly tense embrace. "Oka-."
"No! Inuyasha!" She mumbled, slightly louder.
Shippo turned when he sensed Inuyashas approach. "Is she having a nightmare?" He asked.
"I don't know kid." Was the response Inuyasha gave as he crouched a few feet away.
"This is my ramen."
This garnered the sleeping miko a few snorts. "Apparently not." Miroku chuckled, relaxing back against the base of the tree he and Sango leaned against.
"Sit boy." She grumbled in her sleep with a huff. Rolling over, oblivious to the flash of light and the thud of Inuyasha slamming into the ground, she muttered once more. "My ramen."
Sango giggled, which was followed by Miroku and Shippo chuckling. Inuyasha groaned. "That was so unfair."
