Chapter 5
The priest turned to Mary "Copy my words, I Mary Stone promise to love Draco Malfoy for better and worse and sickness and health." Mary's grip tightened on Draco's fingers, almost crushing them " I Mary Stone promise to love Draco Malfoy for better and worse and sickness and health." Harry felt a tear slide down his cheeks, blurring his vison he wiped away the tear with the sleeve of his suit as he wiped his eyes the next hours flashed by.
He wanted to hold his hand, kiss his lips and tell him that he loves him. But the battle for Draco's heart has been lost Mary won the battle, she's always been one step ahead of him.
And he hated it.
And Mary.
Harry might as well go home and drink himself to death.
The rings on Draco's and Mary's fingers glistened in the sunlight for everyone to see the priest sighed happily and said the final words " Before these two happily get married is there anyone who wishes to speak now, or forever hold your peace."
Harry had something to say alright.
The priest searched the crowd, but no one spoke he continued on with the other part of the speech, the part that Harry hated the most.
"Do you Draco Malfoy take Mary Stone to be your beloved wife?"
"I do."
"Do you Mary Stone Take Draco Malfoy to be your beloved Husband?"
"I do."
"Then I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride." the priest cheered Draco flushed a light pink and leaned in to kiss Mary, everyone rised from their seats and rejoiced. Everyone except for Harry who just stood there. His head hung low and crying silently over the loud noise of the cheering, away from the heart-breaking scene played out in front of him.
3 hours later...
The day turned into night the stars shone brighter and the moon was fuller, everyone was on the dance floor Dancing or congratulating Draco and Mary. Once that was done they moved somewhere more private, the fairy lights under the gazebo sparkled brightly so that the moment was more magical as they danced Draco felt like something was missing.
It wasn't a thing.
It was a who.
The whole time when Mary was holding his hand, he pretended that he was with Harry, Draco never wanted all of this all he wanted was Harry here with him or in his bed in his arms. It was all his mother and father's idea for him to get married to Mary the first place, he never got a say in what he wanted Draco looked over his shoulder and saw his mother and father talking to her parents.
He betted that they were talking about him behind his back.
Speaking of Harry no one has seen him since the ceremony.
How strange.
Draco pulled away from Mary gently and leaned against the railing "I'm going to find Harry, I'm worried about him." he said softly, standing next to him Mary leaned into him and sighed "Must you? he's probably at the bar or something."
"You don't know that."
"I'm just saying."
"Well don't, I'm going to look for him now if anyone asks where I am just say that I went for a smoke."
Once he was inside Draco searched everywhere he could think of, then it hit him the only place where Harry could ever truly feel safe.
Draco's room.
He found the door open halfway he slightly pushed it open and found all the sheets rumpled, there he was snuggling in his sheets crying. Sighing to himself Draco slid off his shoes and socks, sneaking towards the bed and into the sheets.
"Aren't you supposed to be with your wife?" Harry sniffed.
"Not until you tell me what's wrong."
"I'm fine." he sniffed again and turned to face Draco and he rested his head on his forearm.
"No, you're not."
"Leave me alone."
"No, I won't."
"I love you Draco." Harry mumbled.
"Why didn't you say something before?"
"I didn't want to ruin your special day."
