(AN: by the way, you guys might not be aware but I kinda don't own Pokemon.)

Long before time and space long before our world, there used to be nothing. but then there was the creator. He has many names in many different cultures Maker, Great Father, Arceus, but the title most can agree with is that he is the creator. We believe he made everything we can see and even more.

The legend goes, that even with all that power, after he finished his creation, he began to tire. Even the creator needed rest. So the creator of all there is became exhausted. He made three children, to help with his creation. They were each given powerful gifts and the burdens that came with said gifts. They each became known as The master of time, The ruler of space, and The unfortunate. They were to rule as one. But they grew jealous of each other. All of them believed that they had the right to their father's role as the creator. So they battled for complete control.

Even though they fought with all their might, in the end, there could be only one winner, and the unfortunate proved victorious. However, his victory over his siblings clouded his judgment. He believed If he had the power to defeat both of his siblings, that would mean the creator could fall as well. His siblings were still able to stand and together they used their remaining strength to warn their father of the unfortunate's betrayal. So the creator, with the support of his still loyal children banished the unfortunate into another world, where it would never harm another. This act took much of the creator, so he shattered himself and spread his parts around the world so that with time he would regain his original power. His remaining children took over their father's duty and together they ruled as one.

It is still theorized that this prison might have been the distortion world, some say the unfortunate rest in the deepest and darkest corner.

"That sounds dumb." one young Eevee remarked on the story. Another Eevee the one who had been reading glared his way, before biting back. "Right, because every story I tell always sounds dumb to you."

"Hey, I didn't mean it like that." He said with a shrug, trying to calm her.

"You can say that. But I can tell when you're making fun of me." she answered him with a frown. "Whether or not the distortion world is real. This book is just a retelling of a legend. whoever wrote this, is just noting their speculation of that legend." She tried to clarify.

"Well then. what they think happened is dumb." Her nuisance said with a smirk. She whined in irritation, why was he even here? To her dismay, The source of her annoyance would not shut up. "I just think it's dumb that there's supposed to be a whole other world, where people just happen to go to whenever they do bad stuff. It's just kinda dumb to me." That did little to appease her.

"Maybe that's because, that is a dumb-down version of the real thing, made to scare children into being good." the reader huffed angrily, having to explain something she believed to be so straightforward.

"Well, I see what you mean and all, but I still have to ask how. I mean, think about it, maybe all the distortion world talk is actually the opposite, and the dumb-down kid's tale came first. And then people just got really into it." That had the girl in fumes at the very idea. How could centuries of stories passed down from generation to generation be entirely based on heavily speculating about a children's fairytale? "Why else would a bunch of crazy Pokemon get so invested in the big scary other world." he finished, smirking.

"That's not right. And it's not the point of this story."

"Well, it's about the scary hole in the ground we call the distortion world. Right?"

Around them, three more Eevees watched them bicker. Another boy raised his voice trying to stop their dispute. "Well when you think about it, some of the legends got to be true. It's weird that a bunch of different Pokemon just keep coming up with the same explanation." he had hoped that they would stay out of each other's throats, but when one of the other girls asked to hear one of the stories she got put on the spotlight.

"I think that's the fun part, figuring out why it's so common. There's got to be some truth there." That same girl said sitting on the other side with a smile. She was quite grateful he took the initiative.

Their attempt to stop the argument seemed to have the effect they wanted. The bickering pair's attention was now focused on the rest of them and away from each other. But not for long.

"Well. you're right about it being fun." the first boy said his gaze going back to the storyteller.

"Needle, Leave Ruby alone." the other boy pleaded.

"Bright, buddy. Did I say anything wrong?" Needle asked coking his head to the side, still smirking.

"No, but you wanted to." Bright let out a sigh tired of him.

"Faye, I'm bored." The last Eevee that had been silent until now finally choose to join their conversation.

"Well, I guess we could go play. We still have time." Faye replied while looking for approval from the others. Ruby thanked the creator as Needle's attention moved on to Nadia. She wasn't sure how much more Needle she could handle today.

"What's wrong Nadia? I thought you were soundly asleep." Needle prods fishing for a reaction. Nadia frowned, tired of this back and forth. "Shut up Needle." She told him bitterly, it was surprisingly enough to shut him up.

Bright took that as a sign to move things along, he got up from his seat and stretched his legs before making his way outside. Needle and the girls followed him chatting about what to play. After exiting the library Ruby liked fn mm Mb so much. They began to discuss where and what they were going to play until Bright noticed that Ruby had not followed them."Wait here, I'm going to get Ruby." He told them with a grimace shaking his head, he hoped Ruby's behavior would improve with time. Shame she wouldn't make it easy.

Needle watched him go with his head cocked to the side, squinting his eyes. "Honestly it's kind of funny, she thinks we would just get up and go without her." Needle commented with a smirk. Frankly, he was a little hurt.

"Maybe that's exactly what she wants, knowing her she'd prefer if we would just forget she's there." Nadia agreed, she found Ruby's never-ending shyness to be the most annoying thing in her life, 'And that's saying a lot, Needle is right there.' she thought, sending a glare his way for good measure.

"So, while we wait, you guys got any ideas?" Needle asked turning to Faye and Nadia. Faye immediately leaped when she heard the question. "Oh, oh! We can go explore the clearing, that one close to the beach." She said hopping from left to right. She had been enchanted with that place ever since Needle and Nadia found it.

Needle and Nadia shared a glance, they had seen this dance before. "Well, when you put it like that. How could we say no." Needle said with a mischievous smirk. He turned around to leave, before looking back suddenly. "But we have to ask Ruby first, of course. this is hanging out with Ruby Day after all." He told her with a stupid grin, Needle knew exactly how to mess around with her. "Oh, Yeah. I guess you're right." Faye replied, her previous excitement dying down, as she recalled why they had come to the library in the first place.

Just as they finished, Bright made his way out of the library with Ruby close behind, she did not look happy. Needle grinned as he noticed them.

"So, did you forget today is Ruby Day?" Needle teased her. Ruby groaned trying to hide behind Bright. Hopefully, that would somehow stop him. "Needle, please We're all here. So let's just move things along" Bright pleaded. He was far too tired to keep dealing with their bickering.

Needle let out a tired sigh while looking away. It would shock his friends if it were not so quick. Instantly perking up again. His smirk did seem forced but only Nadia would manage to notice, and... she did not care. "Alright, onto the next activity of the day." Needle said with a pompous voice.

"Ruby! What do you say we take you to the clearing? That one that's close to Water Cave." He asked continuing his act, Ruby grimaced she did not like the idea of leaving town at all. But from the corner of her eye, she could see Faye jumping in excitement. If this was her idea then maybe she could give it a chance. "I guess... I could go see it." She replied with unease.

Bright could tell she was scared of leaving town. He grabbed her attention. "Don't worry, we're all going to be there. We'll look out for you." He told her with a smile. While Bright did help, she couldn't let go of her concerns. But she would endure, she liked Faye, and if she was that eager to see that clearing. Then maybe she would like to see it too.

"So with that settled, we should probably get going. It takes a little bit of time to get there so we have to move quickly." Needle said while stretching. Moving on he began to make his way to one of the town's gates Nadia and Faye right behind him.

"So we're not even going to ask permission." Bright asked unamused.

Needle turned around annoyed with his friend, with a perfect mirror of Bright's expression. "Well, I guess we could go ask Gramps if we could leave town, even if we might lose a lot of time and not get to do anything by the time we get there." Needle said making sure to put a paw under his chin, trying to make a thoughtful pose.

"No time Bright Let's just go." Nadia said with a frown. She just like Needle knew where they were going, so if she said they didn't have time then it was true. "Oh, so when she says it you all just roll with it. I see how it is." Needle teased, faking a scowl while leading them out of town.

It had been some time since they left and Ruby found herself in the middle of the forest, she could only hope it would end soon. Faye and Nadia followed after Needle, they seemed to be planning what to do when they got there, the former far more excited, than the latter. Needle (thankfully) was on the lead right at the front and as she was last she wouldn't have to deal with him. Bright right in front of her had been oddly silent, She worried about whatever had him so pensive.

"Hey guys, is this really the only way? the bushes are scratching me." Ruby asked annoyed at her friends for insisting on dragging her along. Bright looked back with a smile hoping to reassure her. "Don't worry we're almost there." Ruby tried to concentrate on Bright but a scratch to her face made her close her eyes and when she opened them again, Bright was gone.

And she immediately went into panic, she ran forward, desperately searching for Bright. Her breathing quickened with each step. The foliage around her refused to give her any opening. She ran and ran but she couldn't find any trace of them, Scratch after scratch it just wouldn't end. She suddenly burst out into an opening. Scanning her surroundings, her fear took hold of her as she realized she was lost. She immediately hunkered down, paws wrapping around the top of her head. The thought of being lost and stuck in the forest made her dread skyrocket. Even now she found the will in her to curse Needle, this was his idea. Of course, he would drag her here. Where she could easily get lost. Bright should be looking for her right now. Her hopes suddenly rose. Yes, Bright wouldn't leave her like this. Bright would find her.

That was until she heard something from behind, something was coming after her. Fear, once again, came back with full force. all her hope draining in an instant. She didn't even have the will to run. All she could do was look on in horror as the vile creature emerged, ready to maul and rip her apart. Or so she thought.

"Ow."

"Wha-?" that sounded like... The one Eevee she did not want to see, Needle leaps from the other side of the bushes, shaking his left front paw. "Common Ruby, you just had to get lost didn't you." He said not noticing her. "Needle?" she whispered, barely believing what she was seeing. After hearing his name he jerked back alarmed before catching sight of her.

"Oh! Great, there you are. We got really worried There for a second." He told her letting out a sigh.

"You... went looking for me?" Ruby's expression held pure disbelief. Needle stared at her confused. He couldn't quite understand what she meant. "I mean... Yes? What was I supposed to do? Leave you lost in the forest?" he asked sarcastically. Trying to tiptoe around her.

Ruby could not believe Needle was here, she expected Bright or Faye. Maybe Nadia. But Needle, she didn't think he would care, yet here he was skimming her over. He was really worried. 'But... even then, it shouldn't be him.' She refused to believe this was it.

"Did anyone else come after you?" she asked her eyes refusing to look at him. He looked back from his inspection, "Huh? Oh, no. Just me, we wouldn't be much better if we all went to look for you." Ruby was not happy with that answer.

"What do you mean?" Her stare twisting into a glare.

"Think about it like this, the only mons in our party that know how to get around these parts are me and Nadia. Bright and Faye aren't really the exploring type. So since you're lost, sending everyone to look for you wouldn't be the smartest move. Worst case scenario they also get lost." As sound as that seemed, she couldn't let go of the feeling of disappointment.

Needle just now noticed her lethal glare. Thankfully this time it wasn't aimed at him, but he had some ideas of what she might be waiting for. "You know, Bright got real scared when he looked back and you were gone. It would've been kinda funny if the rest of us weren't panicking too." He tells her. That annoying smirk she hates on his face. Ruby was not amused, she failed to see the relevancy of Bright's concerns and she was in no mood to humor him. Her glare only seemed to become harsher.

Needle, unsure of how to deal with her wrath. Gives up. Instead, he would focus on getting her back to the friends she wants to be with. Moving away from her. "We better get moving." He tells her as he makes his way back to the bushes. Her glare fades as fear takes hold of her again. "I... Do we have to... Go back through there?" she asked trembling, staring off in that direction.

"huh? Yes. That's the way out." Ruby shudders in place, refusing to follow. Needle looked back curious. "You, okay there?" He looked between her and the exit trying to think of how he would get them out of this one.

"I uh... can we go through somewhere else?" she requested looking around for another way, but only finding more forest. Needle could tell she was scared but of what he didn't know. "If you want to take the long way we can do that." he said cocking his head to the side.

"NO!" She screeched.

Needle startled by her yell, looked between her and the path. He let out a sigh before moving closer to her. She stares at him with wide eyes, watching him move with confusion and suspicion. What could he want? Needle never gets quiet like this, what evil heinous thing was going on behind those eyes, what horrible atrocities could he be planning? He moved slowly as if testing her reaction, once close enough to almost bump her left side he sat down staring at the exit with her, and then, he just... stayed there.

"What... What are you doing?" Ruby asked beyond baffled. He looked at her for a moment. "Waiting for you." He replied.

And there they stayed sitting in the middle of the woods. Ruby didn't want to admit but having him close did make her feel better. She would tolerate this feeling, even if it was Needle. She never noticed before but his fur was darker than hers, it was also mangy and oddly sharp in some places. She felt so out of place sitting next to him, her fur in comparison was brighter and carefully groomed every morning she suspects Needle barely cleaned that coat of dirt. Bright would groom his fur, he always looked presentable when talking to her.

Bright... He was worried about her too. She wondered if he really was as terrified as Needle claimed. The thought made her oddly happy for all the wrong reasons.

Looking back at Needle she wondered if he had been scared too, he did say they all were. She wanted to believe but she had a hard time trying to. She couldn't see Nadia or him being this invested in her well-being, but it did make sense in another way. If they did come back missing someone they would get into a lot of trouble. That made sense to her, but her talk with Needle had her wondering if that was right of her. To think of them as these heartless monsters. It made her feel bad.

"Needle?" She whispered, barely loud enough to be heard. He hummed without looking at her. She swallowed down the lump in her throat this next question would take a lot out of her. "Do you hate me?"

Needle's eyes widened as he looked at her in shock. "What?! No, of course not!" he blurted out, almost too quickly. Ruby's gaze was locked on her paws. Needle's mind ran faster than it ever did desperately trying to figure out what to do. Until she suddenly looked up, staring him dead in the eye. And just like that, his mind stayed very still.

"I always thought you guys hated me." She said her eyes burning a hole through his very soul. If there were any moment in Needle's life where he would truly be terrified it would be now. "You, Nadia, even Faye, she's always been nice but I can tell she gets really upset with me."

She looked up at the clearing on top of them the orange sky clearer than ever. "I always liked Bright a lot because he never got upset with me." She said with a wistful smile, barely on her muzzle. Needle however managed to break out of his panic.

"That's not true." He abruptly stopped her monologue. She looked back at him confused. "He gets upset with you too. You just never caught on." She squinted her eyes not accepting what she was hearing.

"Ruby I think we need to spend more time together." After hearing that her jaw stopped working, it went completely slack. The shock on her face must have been telling, because Needle was quick to correct himself. "I mean all of us you, me, Nadia, and Faye." He added sheepishly looking away, trying hard to hide his embarrassment.

She looked away for a moment trying to calm down her beating heart. For a second there she thought he made a move on her. But no this is Needle, he doesn't think of her like that... Right? Her dangerous thoughts were interrupted as Needle cleared his throat getting their conversation back on track.

"What I mean is, we don't hate you we just think you have some annoying qualities." Her glare could bore a hole through his skull. He flinched noticing her reaction. "I mean, you think I'm annoying right?" He Desperately tried to salvage his point.

"Needle where are you going with this?" she asked with a weary tone in her voice.

Needle closed his eyes and huffed angrily. Right now is not the time to trip over his tongue. "Alright. Do you know how Nadia and I fight a lot?" Ruby nodded her head, they did indeed fight a lot. "Well, we're still friends even though we 'hate' each other." He stated while nodding at his own words as if he needed to make sure it was true.

"Ruby we don't hate you. We just wish making friends with you would be easier, we insist on having Ruby Day because we want to have fun with you, we don't do it to make you feel bad. I just wish you could have fun with us too." There, that one was the best he could manage, Needle had never felt so much pride.

She to had to think over his words, should she trust him? Needle never did something like this but he could- No that way of thinking got her here in the first place. And he did make her feel better. She hated how he did but she couldn't change that. So they were really her friends, she just needed to stop seeing them as the made-up monster she thought they were. Then maybe she might be able to start feeling better about herself. But there was still something bothering her.

"You said Bright also got upset with me. Could you... Explain?" She almost pleaded the idea Bright had been resentful over her behavior had her scared, so scared that the last few minutes seemed like a nice stroll. Needle did not answer at first, frowning deeply. Suddenly his eyes widened, he just had an idea. "Well, you know how today is Ruby Day?"

"Yes?" As far as Ruby understood, Ruby Day was her friend's specified (as needle would put it) 'Hanging out with Ruby Day.' Ruby couldn't see the relevance though.

"Well, back when you wouldn't talk to us, we used to make these plans on how to get you out of the library. And Bright was in on it too." He told her, wary of her reaction.

Ruby knew that they used to have these 'fun plans' but she didn't think Bright was a part of it. In hindsight, it made sense. His 'plans' did work. But did it mean he only spent time with her because of some plot? Just to get her to play with them? It made her quite sad to think her closest friends would do that. She looked away she didn't want to let Needle see her cry.

Needle who had been watching her carefully, caught on quickly when he heard her snivel. Needle chastised himself, he had successfully made the girl he was trying to comfort, cry (amazing work).

"Hey, please don't be like I didn't mean anything bad." He pleaded with her. Ruby straightened her back before letting out a heavy sigh. She glanced back and her expression had Needle completely crushed with guilt. Oh boy, how is he going to fix this one? Luckily he had some ideas.

"Well, I'm sure Bright likes you well enough. I mean if he didn't he wouldn't keep coming back to see you right?" he told her hoping to make her feel better. "When I said he gets annoyed with you I was talking about how you're pretty stubborn" It looked like it was working, her expression just went from sad to thoughtful. He just had to keep the ball rolling. "He gets annoyed because it's hard to get you to do stuff like this, like getting you out of your reading corner."

Ruby nodded her head. While her admiration of Bright had taken a hit, not everything was lost. And if anyone would know what Bright thought of her it would be Needle, they live together after all.

"Maybe I've been a bit too harsh on you, I'm sorry. You're a good friend Needle." She told him considering everything. "And thank you, for not giving up on me." She finished, that last made her feel embarrassed.

Needle beamed proudly. He did it, he finally made Ruby his friend. So long he tried and all he had to do was just be direct. (who would've thought) Now to get her to the rest of the team.

"Alright, we wasted enough time. We need to get you to that clearing!" He said while stretching, fired up to see their friends. Ruby cringed at the thought, she was still scared of the forest. Needle noticed quickly, but this time he wouldn't let her wallow in fear. "Ruby look at me." He said while coming closer. Ruby flushed when she noticed Needle was inches apart from her, eyes locked on hers burning with motivation. He couldn't even notice her embarrassment.

"Ruby behind me is the only way back home, and the only way back to Bright, Nadia, and Faye. I know you don't want to sleep here. And frankly, I don't want to stay here for the rest of the day either. And I know you want out of here too." Needle told her, so much intensity enveloping him that Ruby completely forgot about how close he was. She could only stare in awe. "it's just going to be me and you. They might throw monsters, villains, maybe that weird old mon in Water Cave. But we're gonna stick together and beat them all back." he said while moving back, closer to the opening in the bushes.

"But... I can't fight." Ruby wimpered weakly.

"Does it matter? Right now it's me and you. I'm going to have your back. Will you have mine?"

Ruby gazed at him with her mouth open in wonder and surprise. She was scared but Needle's enthusiasm made her feel like she could do it. As long they stick together. She closed her mouth, eyes set forward Needle's motivation infecting her. She nodded her head getting up and ready to follow him into danger. He looked back with a confident smile and jumped through the bush. She hesitated for a second before jumping after him. And just like he said there he was on the other side, still smiling, still motivated.

Now to get out of this forest, they made their through the foliage Needle keeping a constant eye on her, Ruby moved slowly and steadily. Needle in the lead matching her pace. The bushes still scratched her but this time they wouldn't stop her, she wanted to get there so she would get there. While walking she noticed how different this place looked from before, then it was nothing but suffocating, but now she noticed how open it was. It made her feel quite embarrassed, she was terrified of a completely safe forest. Even the foliage wasn't as dense as she remembered.

"We're almost there." he said while looking back.

She hastened her movement, and soon they would get out of here. They exited the forest and reached a more open area, she scanned around it really was pretty. She could see why Faye wanted to see it so badly. A waterfall coming down on a large pond. It looked even better with the orange hue of the afternoon.

"What took you so long!?" Ruby heard someone yell, It sounded like Nadia. Turning to her left she saw the rest of her friends coming over. All worried and full quilt. Faye especially looked horrified.

"Hey calm down, we just had some trouble. Not that kind of trouble before you ask." Needle said from behind her, noticeably tired.

Nadia frowned and looked at her for a moment before continuing to berate him. Ruby would have laughed if only Needle hadn't been so much help. The amusing sight of Nadia and Needle fighting, it never gets old.

"Ruby, are you okay?" Faye asked now right beside her, she hadn't noticed her get close. "We were so worried, we didn't even notice you were gone till we got here. I'm so sorry for making you do this." Faye went on spitting apology after apology Ruby could see Bright skulking behind her, he was probably guilty too. "Faye" She spoke once and her friend stopped "I'm okay. Now, I'm just tired. That was a bit scary." She told her trying to look brave. From behind her, she could hear Needle chuckle. Apparently, Nadia had finished putting him on blast.

"Oh good, again I'm so sorry"

"No that's okay. Actually, I would like to do this again." After that, all of them (except for Needle who had a stupid smile, the bastard) were completely speechless. They could not believe what they heard, Nadia slowly turned to look at Needle glaring daggers all the way. "What did you do?" She demanded.

"Nothing much just helped her with a lot of stress." He said with that annoying smirk Ruby hated. That wasn't enough for Nadia who only became more angry. "Explain, dumbass." she said her patience draining.

"When he found me, I might have been a bit... nervous. He... Helped me feel better." She replied timidly. The fact Ruby was the one to say it left them all even more stunned.

"I can't believe it." Faye said breaking out of the shock.

"He did it." Naida whispered.

"Hey, we just had a heart-to-heart that's all. We found some common ground." Needle said while shaking his head, he thought they were taking it too far. "Ain't that right?" He asked while looking at her.

"Yeah." Ruby answered with a faint nod.

"Does that mean?" Faye asked searching for something in Needle.

"Yeah, we're all buddies now. No more Ruby Day." He told Faye, although that last part seemed to be aimed at Bright.

Ruby had almost forgotten him. She looked in his direction curious as to why he had been so quiet. He was glaring back at Needle, he had a hard look in his eyes, and his lips twitched slightly. She shared a glance with Needle she really wanted to talk with Bright. Lucky Needle caught on quickly. She waited while Needle led the girls a few feet away, saying something about getting his paws wet.

They both silently watched as the others got close to the pond when they reached it she turned toward him. "So, that was scary." She said trying to break the ice. "You really okay?" he said looking at her for a moment.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" She asked razing a brow

"Just making sure." He Answered glaring back Needle. Why was he doing that Needle had done nothing but be helpful, why was Bright so angry with him?

"What's wrong?" She asked looking towards their friends like him.

"I'm just... frustrated." He said with a grunt. Ruby glanced at him, waiting for him to continue.

"It's hard to explain but I think I'm angry it went so well."

"What?" Ruby felt a pang of discomfort she never thought Bright would give her.

"I wish he would just let me deal with it." He told her completely serious.

"With me, you mean" She corrected, she was not happy anymore Not that he'd noticed.

"Things were going fine and he just butts in. You and me, we got along well so I should do it. We agreed I would do it. But he never liked to wait, bastard." He said glaring at Needle standing smugly on the edge of the pond.

"So what? just because you didn't get to do it, now you're going to be all mad?"

Bright finally took notice of her, his expression shocked in that very delayed way of his. The look of anger on her face left him confused. Why was she mad? He had been talking about Needle.

"Why are you getting angry anyway? Wasn't the goal to get me to play with you? Shouldn't you be happy?" She couldn't understand. Needle was happy, Faye was happy, even Nadia, and on top of all of them, she was happy. Needle showed her they were always looking out for her, something she thought only Bright would do. It was always only them, Her and Bright, That was good enough for him apparently.

Bright recoiled from her tone, he never heard her speak like that not even with Needle. What made it worse was that she was right, he should be happy but he wasn't. He didn't understand why, He wished he did. He tried to get his thoughts in order but he couldn't he was angry too. Instead, he shut himself off like he always did.

"We should get back." He said while going away

She watched him go with a glare, how could he? She trusted him, she thought he was her only real friend. And he just vents about not being the one to get her out of her shell as if it were her fault.

It didn't matter she had more friends now, friends who wanted the best for her, Even if they were mean or annoying, Faye was fine though.

She looked up at the sky to clear her head. It was getting very late, and no matter how quickly they moved they would get in trouble back home. She sighed it seemed that was her fault. She looked back down as she heard someone getting closer.

"You two work yourselves out?" Needle asked smiling. Looks like he didn't know what went on in Bright's head after all, a shame but not his fault.

"Yeah. Something like that." Ruby replied. Getting up.

Her short response made him wary but they didn't have time to dwell on it. "Come you're behind me, this time we're making sure you're not getting lost." He told her while they went towards the others.

Just like he said Needle led the way back with her right behind him Nadia and Faye right behind them with Bright at the very end. They didn't see the tension between her and Bright. Ruby had mixed feelings, she just lost her best friend but she became closer to Needle, Naida, and Faye. She wondered if it Was worth it.

"Hey if you don't mind we can play again tomorrow." Needle said looking back at her. Ruby didn't think she had the heart for the forest again, not right now at least. "I mean back in town." He said laughing at her expression.

"Ooooh, that's a good idea I know some games you're going to adore." Faye said eyes sparkling.

"Heh, careful with her she's a newbie." Nadia remarked with a grin. (a rare sight)

They went on like that for some time. Ruby hadn't even noticed when they got to the gates just in time for them to close, Needle really knew his way around.

"So we meet up again tomorrow?" Needle asked while he and Bright started to go back home.

Faye and Nadia, we're quick to agree. Bright for his part stayed silent Needle found that odd but he decided not to push it. They all looked at her she had the final say.

"Yeah I'd like that"

And finally, they all went home ready for the talking down they were about to get from their guardians. But even then they seemed far more interested in what they would do tomorrow. Overall, Ruby thought the day went better than ever, and she just like everyone could not wait for tomorrow.

AN: Hey, how you doing, you liked this thing I did? Tell me what you thought, if it's horrible or if it has some good parts. I'm here to turn the bulshit in my head into something fun.
