Our first-class transport to Tuchunka pulls into the docs. The package amenities include rusted wings, hums of a shot engine, and Wrex will sing. Our pilot is the same person who gave us a ride when Wrex tracked his family armor. It does not take us long to pack our belongings. Wrex put his bags in the overhead storage area. The nameless pilot opened my bag to see the contents.

"No grenades, chemicals, only one weapon. Seriously?" he's judging me, and I feel insecure. I don't like it!

I have the privileged luxury of setting my sack of stuff on the ground as my items are not volatile enough to warrant the need of hardened barriers. Why couldn't the TSA run this efficiently. I'm permitted to leave my bag on the ground.

"Last chance. Do you really want to come?" Wrex asks.

I said my goodbyes to everyone before we left. Shepard and Ashely tightly shook my hand. She has some meat tenderizers at the end of her forearm. Kaiden and Garrus fist bumped me. Tali hugged me. I awkwardly hugged her back. I didn't want to catch feelings. It would be inappropriate. Before I left, I put the address of everyone into my omnitool. I plan to keep in contact. I wished I didn't have to go. The Normandy is still over there. I'm very tempted to stay, despite the fate that will most likely fall upon them. My warning would fall on deaf ears, besides the council banned me from more missions. I'll punish the asari councilor by not sleeping with her. That should teach her for next time this happens. I solemnly confirm my decision to Wrex.

The ship engines grunt, not roar, grunt to life and take off. I notice as we exit the citadel docking bay, the keepers are installing turrets clearly made to keep the ships in this time. I'm giddy that my actions force governments into doing some real work. I lean back, the cold black metal walls support my weight. I take a long energizing breath in.

"Thank you, Wrex. It would have been hard to leave all my friends at once" I struggled expressing that. Best not to let things build and fester.

Wrex slightly nods his head. Understanding my struggles. He wouldn't admit it, but Wrex also didn't want to leave. Our time on the Normandy was enjoyable, even if he had to share a room with Garrus. Wrex comes to me and pats my shoulder. The wall slowly descends the krogan next to me. He quickly gives me advice on how to handle other Krogan. I'm an outsider. They won't like me. As a human, they'll assume I'm weak and of no help to the clan. Any insults I'm going to have to take. Easy for me. Respect is earned at clan Urdnot and even then, challenges from others will be a common occurrence. Wrex will stand up for me, but that won't ease skeptical minds.

I rest my head on the wall. I feel the heat drain from my mastoids. The muscles of my amazing butt and back find a balance between support and comfort. I fall asleep, just for the time to go by. The blackness erases my troubled soul. I used to be in this state for as long as I could. I needed a break from the pain and this was my only escape. I used to wish I could stay here forever. No pain, no awareness. As time went by and I discovered freedom from my struggles, I came to realize how amazing life can truly be and how tuning it all out would have been one of the stupidest things I almost did, if it was ever an actual possibility. There is something similar that I am strongly opposed to.

"Wake up kid, we're here. You feeling OK? You slept for two days straight. We ran into an asteroid field and the pilot pulled crazy moves to evade. Not even a tussle from you" Wrex said.

"Honestly?" I used to only need six hours to fully recover in my youth, actually youth, not hey I'm thousands of years old in a perpetual sexy mid twenties body sorta youth.

"HA no. That shit only happens in movies. You did sleep a long time though. Here have this" Wrex offers dried meat in a silver wrapper. I take it and take a bite. The meat is tougher than earth jerky. Whatever this is, it had very dense muscles. The taste is enjoyable, salty and gamey, I find a funny tingling sensation fills my mouth. It is so subtle that if I didn't have an enhanced nervous system, I doubt I'd notice. I ask Wrex what animal it is.

"Verran" he answers.

My head tilts up and eyes open all the way "You mean those space dogs!"

"I don't know what a dog is. What's the issue?" he asks.

"Hrrgh. I don't like eating animals I would consider owning as a pet. I'm already eating it. Might as well. It's rude to waste food. Please don't let me eat anything from them" I request.

"Fine but there aren't many options on Tuchunka. There are pyjaks, some large game the clan hunts for, I'll sneak you some meat, other critters" he said.

"What about fruits and veggies?" I like a balanced diet.

"Who the kalros eats those?" Wrex asks.

"I'll figure it out. I mostly eat to fuel my body anyway, not the taste" how many minutes a day do I spend eating? 30? I learned it is better to ingest something non delicious that makes me feel great for hours compared to eating junk that feels amazing for a few minutes and leave me feeling like crap afterwards. I know some tricks to see if the food is poisonous or not. In a real life scenario, it is a terrible idea to eat unknown alien food even with my hacks. I have no idea how my body will process it or if there'll be long term damage. I'll just be patient and eat a little at a time. If all else fails, I'll reset my body. I'm probably going to be doing that a lot to escape the DNA damage from overexposure to radiation again.

I step out of the ship and breathe in the warm, humid? Tuchunka air. I sense my nasal passages filtering the dust from the air. We docked at a station in the middle of a field. The sunlight is strong. Reminds me of the time I spent a year camping near the equator. I was curious how long-term sun exposure affected my body. The grass catches my attention. The blades are tall and wider than what you'd see on earth. There are no nearby water sources so why is it so humid? The radiation… isn't as bad as I was expecting. I visited the fallout universe once. I wanted to kill a death claw. That place the radiation was strenuous. I could feel the gamma waves run through my skeleton. I had to reset every few days and even then, I stood out with my healthy physique and straight teeth. The locals believed me to be a vault dweller. I left a couple months later. Here, it feels like it only reaches the top layer of muscle, if I'm not confusing it with the sunlight.

Wrex directs me to the camp. We had to go through a number of run down concrete skyscrapers to arrive. It looks like what I remember in the game. Rubble is everywhere, lighting is depressing, Krogan stand out discussing various topics. Some of them stare at me. Wrex orders me to get used to it, this is the first time some of them have seen one. They have the luxury of living with the most spectacular human to have ever lived in this universe. There's an opening to a meadow near the opening where a larger version of the mako is parked. I'll build my cabin there.

"Wrex! You've returned. We heard word of your deeds in eliminating Saren, as well as retrieving what was stolen from you" a krogan with dark green emerald plating lined with a pale orange tint opens his arms to Wrex and headbutts him.

"Bluich'k, this is *********. He will be staying with me. He may be a human, a rather strange on at that, but he's strong. He's going to be here a while" Wrex introduces me. I look to the new character.

"I'm going to assimilate into your culture for as long as I'm here. Do I headbutt you?" I politely asks.

"Only if you're good friends, with others you gaze down until you're spoken too" Wrex answers.

"Seriously?" I ask.

"Watch your tongue human! You're nothing on this planet. Nothings get eaten, shat out, and eaten again" he yells. I lower my head. I stare at Wrex with the corner of my eye.

"You can always fight him and demand respect if you win" Wrex states.

"That's too soon for me" I'll settle in first. I can take him. Hell, I could kill everyone here easily if I wanted too. But then there would be no one to give me attention, compliment my cooking, and laugh at my stupid jokes. I'll win the clan's respect.

Wrex continues talking with his friend. I keep my head lowered. After a while Wrex shows me his living spot and how I'll be staying here for the time being. I inform him of my plan to build my own shelter with materials I'll find. Oh crap the moisture in the air will make it difficult to start a fire. Any wood I find will have to be dried out first. The sun is strong, it might just work. I'll work it out later.

"You signed up for this. Any regrets yet?" he chuckles.

"You think verbal harassment is going to brake me after all the crap I've been through" I reply.

"Nah. you are too strong for that. Some of the younglings could learn a thing from your example" ah brain fuzzles.

"Just stay out of anyone's way and ignore what they say. They'll get bored and leave you alone soon enough. No fun poking a thresher maw if it doesn't bark up" Wrex informs me.

"Any tasks you want me to do? I have to do something. As much as I love the idea of sitting and relaxing all day, if I do, something builds up and If I don't release it I could go insane. I need work. Anything?" I plead.

"You can empty the septic tanks" Wrex said.

"You're joking" please be joking.

"I'm messing with you. No plumbing and we burn our shits to keep the animals away" that is one way to do it.

"What If I clean the camp? I could use the rubble to build something in the meadow" I asks.

"That's a ton of rocks. Heavy too. You really want to do that?" he asks.

"I'll start with the small ones and work up. Besides it will keep me busy for a while" I explain.

"Do whatever. I'm going to unpack and afterwards I got some things to do. Things are tough here because that is the way it is, although I feel like you'll enjoy it" Wrex walks away.

I have some badass cleaning ahead of me.
