Textureless obsidian slabs coat the floor, reflecting the light from the nearby star. Special filters on the station's windows give it a blue color. Or amber if the moment calls for it. This report I received from Miranda is unbelievable. It has been a very long time since she had pulled a stunt like this. The strange thing is, I have multiple reports describing the same thing from Kelly, Jacob, and a few trusted members. Each and every one of them detail ********* as essentially a demigod. Normally I would not show my face to someone, however the moment calls for me to have a discussion with him. He is an anomaly. No one I hired to determine his origin could find a trail before his encounter with the spectre at Eden Prime. It would not be so unusual for a human on a colony to not have identification, but his expertise in combat came from training. The first assumption was he was a deep cover agent which was quickly ruled out as my moles in the various earth and a couple citadel agencies had nothing on this man. Another possibility was thought he's another clone like Miranda. This too was not the case. The genetic data from his profile taken aboard the original Normandy shows no genetic modifications of any kind, which is next to impossible to find these days. *********'s hologram appears behind my chair. I savor the delicious flavor of my cigar.

"You have quite the reputation. Not many get to see my face. Consider yourself lucky." my chair swivels around. I scan the man the commander used to so blindly trust, only to find him blindfolded and his arms behind his back. He's smiling. A peculiar presentation.

I lean backwards. "What is this?"

"I figured you wouldn't believe the legends surrounding me, so I thought I'd prove it." He said.

"I thought Miranda outgrew her childish pranking days" A headache forms, remembering her stunts. I came to care for her something like a daughter, but our situation never allowed either of us to feel like anything more than work associates.

"YOU MUST TELL ME THOSE STORIES! Hey, why is there no furniture? You'd think with this huge living space with a FREAKING star with a view, there would at least be a pullout couch. Or a fridge. I like the blue though. Very tranquil" he said. Miranda could have told him, or his blindfold is semi-see through.

"I'm not here for decoration services. I want you to tell me who you are" I intertwine my fingers.

"You got ten hours?" he asks.

"My time is extremely valuable. Don't waste it" I advise.

He points over my shoulder. "Why don't we let him explain it?"

"What?"

"This place looks even better in person. The ceilings are so high. Do you get cold? Wait why did I ask that, you have a sun to warm you up. Hey there is a fridge. Kinda small though." It's ********* towering over me, without a blindfold. I must be imagining this. I look back to the hologram. It steps forward and materializes in front of me. The one without the blindfold walks over and props himself with his elbow on the other's shoulder. They both laugh hysterically. One looks back and forth while the other just giggles.

"HA HA HA HA! Oh I want to see it from another angle" he removes the others' blindfold. His hand covers his eyes.

"HA! His face is hilarious from this angle as well! Look at that confused and bewildered expression. Priceless!"

"What the FUCK!" I shout.

"LANGUAGE. The reports are true. Basically, I can do almost anything I want, and you can't stop me" he sings that last portion as if it's a preschool lullaby. The two merges into one. I manage to hold my excitement within. A human who can ensure our race's survival.

"You can save us. Stop the collectors. Destroy all the reapers." I almost stood from my premium leather chair.

"No way Jose."

"I'll give you whatever you want." I have the resources and pull.

"I want a government that always balances the budget."

"Let's be realistic."

"You elitist types! Ok I wouldn't destroy the reapers even if I could. I can only practically be in one location. I can't fight a war alone. I tried. Came close to winning."

"But when the reapers arrive, you can slaughter them all!" This angers him.

"You are asking me to commit genocide" he said.

"They will reap every living being in this galaxy and have done it for god knows how long!"

"You don't even know why they are doing it. You are assuming they have free will."

"What?"

"Oops. That was a slip up. Nevermind."

"You can go to their base and eliminate them before they enter the galaxy. Why are you being so stubborn?!"

"Calm down. I dislike angry vibes. Also, I couldn't. I'll I know is the reapers are in deep space, outside the galaxy. Thats a lot of room to look for. I'm not omniscient. I need an image or something to pinpoint the area. Problem is time is a complicated factor. If I wanted to, I could have just appeared on Eden Prime, but then I wouldn't have any clue when Shepard would have came. A month? A year? I was lucky it was only weeks when I first came to this universe."

"But when they enter the galaxy, we'll know then you can kill them."

"I'm not here to solve your problems for you. I tired and new ones popped up. You really want me to deal with the reapers? Do as I say how I say it? Worship me? Make me your god?"

"..."

"Say yes. I'll be a good god. I won't throw too many orgies." Zeus tried getting me into it, I hated it. It was too weird.

"I'm not going to be able to convince you to handle this problem, will I?" he shakes his head. Should I try threatening him? The therapist says the quarian can sway him. Maybe if I… No, I shouldn't risk a chance for him to retaliate. He could destroy everything I built.

"What now?" I down my asari aged alcoholic beverage.

"Can I move some furniture in and bring ladies here from time to time? We can be roomies!"

"NO!"

"Can you stop me?"

"...no."

"Hehe. I'm heading back to the ship. See you later." He's leaving?

"Wait, is that all?" I ask.

"Huh?"

"You're not going to judge me?"

"I am but I'm not going to do anything" he states.

"What. So, you don't think I am an evil person?"

"Don't get ahead of yourself. I've seen a lot worse than you. Besides I saw what you're capable of doing when the moment calls. Your will is very strong, and you actually care about humans, not just screaming danger to get the peasants to bend to your will. I respect that." he explains.

"What are you talking about?"

"You killed yourself. You might. You're currently slightly indoctrinated. During the reaper war, the stuff from the collector base makes it worse and you almost helped the reapers win. You were in Shepard's way and he can talk about saving humanity. You blow your brains so he can do what needs to be done." he said. I fought against the turians in my youth. I came into contact with something on a mission that sent me down my road. It was a warning I thought. A beacon similar to the one Shepard encountered. It was a trap. I kill myself? I never imagined I would be the one to make the sacrifice play.

"All this time, I've been helping the reapers?" everything I did. Did I doom humanity?

"Controlled opposition. Now you know and can fight back. Let Shepard complete his mission without any more shenanigans and tell him that. Oh, and stop with this fear and hatred of aliens nonsense. Just because they look different doesn't mean they want to kill you. You people, and when I say people I am including aliens and robots to grow up. Bad stuff happens to everyone. You can either waste your time fighting over something that doesn't matter anymore or abandon your hate then work to make things better. It will feel really good. I got to go; I have a doctor's appointment. Bye" POP.
