Happy December everyone! While thinking about KH and the excitement for the new game, plus trying to think of another chapter for "Sora's Daybreak," I ended up wandering back to this idea. This particular one takes place toward the end of KH3D, so just a quick spoiler warning for you there. Well, enjoy!
Title: Gummi Ship School House Part 3
Type: Story - Three Shot
Summary: From the moment Sora entered the Gummi Ship, he knew that there was so much to learn about the worlds. But in order to prepare the great unknown, Professors Donald and Goofy were ready to teach him what to do.
Idea: Sora finally wakes up after that scare from Organization XIII, but even in this, he's still subject to one of Donald and Goofy's lessons.
Sub-Ideas: Read chapter 16 for list.
Date: December 12, 2023

"Sora!" Both Donald and Goofy cried out.
Sora yawns and sleepily smiles at the two, "Good morning."
The causal response gets on Donald's nerves and causes the duck to start raging, "Good morning? Good morning!? How can you even say that, you were in danger, nearly a goner!"
Sora, still in shaking off his sleepy stupor still wasn't able to register what was happening, "Danger?" It took several moments before the lights were all on and his mind was now more alert. "Oh! Danger! OH NO! Where's Riku?"
"Be still Sora. Rest assured that Riku is right there, he is just fine and will wake from slumber in due time."
Sora breaths a sigh at Yen Sid's words. Right, Riku is just going to be fine. He knows that. But that still didn't quite settle his unease.
All of a sudden, a table appeared out of the magical swirl of dust, topped with refreshments of tea and snacks and decorated for a semi-formal English tea time.
"In the meanwhile, as we await for Riku to be roused out of his slumber, sit and rest. Give sustenance to your body and restore your energy," Yen Sid turned over to the fiery haired man who was leaning by the wall, "To you as well Lea."
Lea smiled, "Thanks, but I'm good. Picked up some ice cream earlier, so I'm all stuffed." Sea-salt ice cream no doubt, the elder thought.
"Thanks Master Yen Sid!" The trio all thanked him in unison before Sora immediately ran to the table to grab a seat and nearly grabbed away at all the snacks.
"SORA!" Donald lightly smacked his hand away from the treats, "Show some table manners!"
"Table manners? But these are just snacks, aren't they? Wait, do they have rules like eating meals at the castle too?"
"Ay-huck! Guess we forgot to teach him some of those lessons, huh Donald?"
Donald just smacked his forehead and beak, of course of all the lessons, they forget snack and table manners. But then again, it's not like it's been high on their priority when they traveled to different worlds. Most of the time, when they visited their friends, a lot of the time they didn't stay long enough for tea time or even a meal. It was always get in, defeat the heartless and nobodies, quick on the road snacks, and then out of there when finished. So the more minor etiquette skills weren't given their full on attention.
"Yeah…" Donald finally agreed.
"Well, now here's as good a time to learn as any!" Goofy happily announced.
What happened next was Sora asking for a box of costumes as he wanted to look the part, sort of. He chose to wear a mustache and glasses to represent a classy gentleman enjoying tea time with fellow friends, but because there wasn't a top hat, he took the party hat that was there instead. Upon the table sat white tea cups with golden rims resting on very simple plates with silver teaspoons. Master Yen Sid poured the tea and the Disney duo got to work showing Sora the proper way to hold tea cups and fun phrases to talk about during teatime. Lea and Mickey lost interest and decided to check on Riku, who was still in slumber.
Though, when the master of the tower decided to replace out the empty plates with a new set of snacks, all of their plans to teach Sora went down the drain. What greeted their eyes were various delights on the tea tower, filled nicely with macaroons, macarons, and a plate of fudge. The biggest thing on the table was a fancy chocolate cake with red velvet filling, pink frosting decorated into a flower design, six fancy strawberry chocolate triangles, and a tiny edible sugar crown sat atop it greeted them. Each of the trio looked eagerly at the treats, particularly Sora who's tummy was rumbling, still hungry even after having tea cookies earlier.
The trio wasted no time and made their way for the table. Donald wasted no time trying to serve himself with the snacks first, to which Sora wasn't too happy about.
"Hey Donald! Come on, you're hogging it all!"
"Aw, calm down, Sora, and drink your tea."
"Gawrsh, it sure is yummy!"
"Hey!" Sora, Donald, and Riku turn around, caught off guard and surprised by the sudden outburst of the voice.
"Riku…" It took a moment for Sora to process before he realized, "You're safe! Riku!"
Thus, the lesson on snack and table manners were forgotten and wasn't touched upon again.
.
Yep, when I went back through KH3D content for some inspiration to come up with some things, I ended up having this idea of Sora still getting in manner lessons since he was having a little Tea Party before Riku woke up in the middle of their celebration. Okay, this technically isn't taking place on the Gummi Ship, I just wanted to give myself a tiny explanation for why the trio were having this little mini party. XD
Well, there wasn't much to share this time, but I will eventually get that Sora's Daybreak update done!
That's all for now! Thanks for reading another one of these little ideas again! See you on a different idea soon!
