Disclaimer: This fanfiction takes place after the events of the movie 101 Dalmatians. Some elements from its sequel 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure is included in this fanfiction even though the movie and its plot is not canon. This fanfiction is also based on the 101 Dalmatians event in a game called "Disney Magic Kingdoms". It is made to test my writing skills and also for fun. However, some changes were made in the event storyline either for a better or worse reading experience. Please if you can, post what are your thoughts about this work on the reviews section, it would help me improve in writing this fanfiction. Thank you so much. (One note: I've rewritten the intro chapter. April 5, 2023.)
To anyone who is reading this, I have to say this fanfiction is open and is ready to be updated every few days or so. I have to be honest, sometimes writing this fanfiction feels boring as I lacked motivation. New chapters coming soon!
I urge you to watch the movie "The One Hundred and One Dalmatians" first before reading this fanfiction or else you won't be able to understand the whole context, please. Thank you. (Cadpig is here as she's one of the main characters in 101 Dalmatians: The Series.)
All of the credit goes to the game's company Gameloft, and to Disney.
Chapter One: Spotted Future
The scenery takes place in a road where Roger and Anita are travelling, with Roger driving their car. It may be at least a few days ago when Roger bought the car thanks to their top-hit song which accumulated a large sum of money, but he was able to use some of their cash for also teaching himself how to drive. Pongo is lying down near a radio on the car while it is travelling. Pongo narrates about what happened after the second incident that happened to his family.
"My name is Pongo. My pets had just taken me out for a drive in the country; looking for a place where we can live. We still haven't found one yet because, of course it's the first time we're looking for one."
"It had been many days but not many weeks ever since what we've been through 2 days ago when we returned back to our pets. But now it is December 26, which would mean that in just a few days, we shall be celebrating New Year's Eve. What a Christmas we had yesterday, our children unwrapped the presents in the morning thinking it was for them, instead it was for our pets and so they promised to never unwrap presents unless they have permission."
"Well, I'd say we are doing quite well ever since yesterday; my son Patch was joyful upon hearing that he is chosen to be a guest on a few occasions by Thunderbolt's crew. It seemed they found an opportunity ever since my pet's song just became a top hit and many knew about us coming back to our home. Thankfully his brothers and sisters understand their decision on choosing him. It was an only one chance to have on Christmas and so my pets supported the idea and accepted their consent. I hope he does not get much stress in putting an effort for the show; after all we support him. Thankfully that morning, they helped to clean us even if it took a long time."
"This is too good to be true; I'm no great judge of human music, give me a good howl on a quiet afternoon any day but I do believe my pet has a talent for it and it's gratifying to see it recognized! Why, it's getting so I can't walk him two blocks without hearing that tune of his from one radio or another."
While they are travelling from London, a tune of Roger's hit song suddenly plays in a distance which caused both Roger and Anita to smile and chuckle at that sound.
"Ahh there it is! Just like clockwork, can't say that Roger's hit song must be a thorn to Cruella's side. Plus, it even is certainly catchy to get that silly "Kanine Krunchies" jingle out of my head! We didn't have commercials like that when I was a pup, I can't say I entirely approve. "
"Now talking about those two, Horace and Jasper are at jail. Nanny's going to be on a holiday later in two days while Perdy wanted to stay with the puppies at the residence though for now. After what we've been through, she's understandably quite protective. In all this I say that our lives are now at peace, just hoping that this would continue."
It is also a wonderful morning in Radcliffe Residence. Clear skies, birds are singing from the rooftops, and no chaos. Well, except for the 99 puppies inside Roger and Anita's small house that can fit them inside. All of them are doing sort of things such as playing and chewing on their toys while Perdita is watching all of them in a vigilant manner. Among the puppies is Lucky sitting along with his other 6 brothers and sisters, specifically Rolly, Freckles, Pepper, Patch, Penny and Cadpig. They are having a conversation about the origin of their names. From Rolly to Cadpig, they explained that their names are obvious based on how they look until it is Lucky' turn.
"Lucky, why's your name called that?" Penny asked her brother while the other puppies await his answer.
"Well, Mother and Dad say I'm called "Lucky" for a reason 'cause when I was real little, I got a bad cold but made it through. I'm not sure what they mean by "made it through," but I think they're gonna tell me when I grow up. But 'cause of that I'm supposed to be careful when I run around, so I don't get tired. But it's a little hard to remember." A few seconds later, Lucky thought an idea which he tells to his siblings.
"I just got an idea, how about we go for a W-A-L-K to the park? This is going to be our first W-A-L-K ever! Maybe we can look for fun things and-"
"Not unless we ask mother first. She won't let us out without her permission and we're not yet old enough too." Penny then cuts him while he is speaking. Knowing their mother, it had been a few days ago when they returned back to the residence and she is more protective to the puppies after they we're kidnapped.
"Oh right let's go ask mom! Maybe she might say yes." Lucky remembered and so all of them ran with excitement to their mother and then they asked her a favor of going for a walk in the park.
"Mother can we go for a W-A-L-K?" then the 7 of them answered in unison "Please?" with their faces having puppy eyes. Perdita shook her head gently with her eyes rolling and then looking at them.
"You may children, just for now. After all, freedom with limits is good enough. I'm sure nanny will let you out but do not go out of Nanny's sight or else you might make her to worry. And as for you Rolly, remember what I and your father said to you about working on your balance when you are walking. That way, if you ever have to run away from the mean devil-woman again, or if there's ever any ice, you will not trip."
"Alright mother cause I think sometimes I trip though 'cause I'm hungry. It's hard to think about balance when your tummy rumbles." Rolly listens to his mother's advice.
Just as his siblings are laughing at his statement, some of his other brothers and sisters overheard the conversation and approached their adoptive mother with questions.
"What about us? We want to go to the park too!" Soon, other puppies joined to ask their mother as she agreed to let others to go to the park and so she spoke back to them.
"I'm sorry children but Nanny can't handle you all together at once which is why only they can go out today. I'm sure some of you will be able to experience walking tomorrow." Her children understood what she is saying and so they returned to what they are doing a few seconds ago with some murmuring but reassured by the other puppies that they, if by chance can also go to the park tomorrow or someday. The 7 puppies then grabbed their new leashes for a walk in the park and ran to Nanny who was watering the plants with their big, hopeful puppy eyes.
"Oh my, you puppies want to walk in the park? Well then, I will let you puppies to have a walk. Would you be kind to watch over the puppies Perdita?" Perdita barks to Nanny with dependence on her to assure her children's safety.
"Thank you Perdita, let's go then! Remember Rolly, Kanine Krunchies treats are only for puppies who go on long walks." Rolly understood what she is saying and afterwards, she leashes the puppies which are excited about going for a walk and so they went to the Regent's Park.
