Meta-Knowledge is Power: Chapter 3

A/N: Welcome back to Chapter 3! The last two chapters were more of a starting point, but I'm planning on moving the story forward soon.

Reading Reviews:

Gellius G Gloop: Oh, don't worry, something will DEFINITELY happen with the Orange Namekian Transformation, considering that not only is Orange my favorite color, but I've got a plan for the Orange Namekian Transformation Already.

casterolair: not sure what you mean by "hope first chapter drops soon", but the story is only starting to gain traction.

Giltlawyer9000: Thanks! I'm hoping the upcoming chapters will be even more enjoyable.

It'd been about six months since I'd entered the world of Remnant, and I've found quite a bit of information, along with a few frustrating features.

First off, the currency here was a simple conversion. about 1 Canadian Dollar was equal to 8 Lien, and 1 USD is equal to 10 Lien. Second of all, People could only train to become hunters and huntresses in a place like Beacon, once they turn 18. Which makes Beacon seem more like a College/University more than a High School. Third of all, I joined this world in this world's equivalent of November, which means that I'll be 18 by the time Beacon's Entrance Exam rolls around. This body's birthday appeared to be the same as mine, June 1st. Using {Technomancy}, I was able to find out the information about the characters from the show, and it seems my predictions were correct. By the time I enter Beacon, so will the rest of the main cast.

This is perfect, considering I could follow canon and change the things that I'm planning on changing once they come. Namely, there are two main things I care about changing, and other than that, I'll let the world continue on it's own. The first thing was the Tournament, where Emerald used an Illusion to get Yang in Trouble, and cause Penny to be killed due to Pyrrha's Semblance. And the last thing... the thing that made people hate cinder with a passion, even though there's so much... "Art"... of her. I'm going to prevent Pyrrha's Death, and Amber's Death.

Moving away from that subject now, has been the company I've been working on. Origin Entertainment's Shows and Games were a huge hit. The songs aren't doing that well, but the other two make up for it six-fold. Shows like Pokémon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Power Rangers, and other similar media were Reaching the top 20 in shows currently being streamed.

Meanwhile, the Games industry has really raked in the money. Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue (even though they're called that, they're more like Red and Blue with FireRed/LeafGreen graphics) are being swept off the shelves, while some other Nintendo-Themed games are really doing well for themselves. Super Mario Bros, Kirby, Megaman, Donkey Kong Country, Starfox, Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, and any other Nintendo titles I could recall were being pumped out for the "Origin Entertainment DS".

While I do own 80% of the company, all the others being investors and members of the board, I'm only giving them the characters, the plot, and the other things. They do most of the work, and I just keep profiting. Considering the people working for me make 6-figures with Health Benefits, they absolutely deliver whenever it's time to pump out a game.

After two months, I'd begun training, Focusing mainly on Being extremely fast and hitting like a freight train. Preferably, I'd use magic while wielding {Yamato}. One of the biggest difficulties of wielding it is that in order to wield Yamato without backlash, I need to get {Sword Mastery} to the max level. I'm getting close, but not there yet.

{Sword Mastery} {Passive} {80/100 - 47%} (Engarde! Shows how good you are with a Sword. +40% Damage increase while using swords.)

Something that had set me back was finding out that I didn't naturally regenerate HP or MP normally, I had to unlock a skill. It's not hard to level up, but it's much more tedious. I think this is the boon I'd gotten in exchange for Technomancy.

{Meditation} {Active} {51/100 - 11%} (Ommnn... Puts the user in a meditative state.) [Passive HP/MP/AP Regen: 10.25%] [Active HP/MP/AP Regen: 25.5%]

It was pretty shit, If I'm being honest, but it's better than nothing.

I'd bought a set known as {Weapon Training Set}, which gives me a Bunch of Different Wooden Weapons, that give a 50% Skill EXP boost while training with them. the {Training Sword} was the one I'd been swinging around for two months, as I've been doing other things, like using the {Skill Creation Help Add-On}, to figure out what Skills, Stats, and Level I need for the skills I want. Most of them were things I could get along the way, but we'll see as we go.

{Timeless Immortality} {Ultimate Skill} {Passive} (Imagine dying OR aging, couldn't be this person. grants the user an Infinite Lifespan, and allows them to change their body to appear whatever age they want to look like.)
[Required: {Immortality}, {Ultimate Regeneration}, {Ageless}, {True Time Manipulation}]
[Required: LVL 100]
[Required: All Stats 250+]

{Time Travel} {Passive} (At exactly 88 miles an hour... Allows the user to travel to any previous point in time.)
[Required: {True Space-Time Manipulation} {All-Element Mastery}, {True Mana Manipulation}, {Immortality}]
[Required: LVL 125]
[Required: INT 400, WIS 500.]

{Time Manipulation} {Passive} (ZA WARUDO! Grants the ability to use Time Magic.)
[Required: {True Elemental Manipulation}, {True Mana Manipulation}, {Immortality}]
[Required: LVL 125]
[Required: AGI 250, INT 250, WIS 200.]

Because 90% of the stuff in my house runs on Mana, My {Mana Manipulation} skill maxed out in the span of two months, causing the skill to evolve from {Mana Manipulation} into {True Mana Manipulation}, making the cost of Mana about 200% more efficient. and it was still growing. Also, the only thing I'd managed to buy on my Purchase Wish-list was {Jack Sparrow's Compass}, for $2,500,000. I'd been abusing the {Blueprint Creation} skill, and used it to sell Blueprints of the {Rare Candy}, which has been one of my easiest methods of income. Using some of the money I'd gotten for abusing this, I'd gone on a bit of a shopping spree for Skill Books. I'd bought {Fire Manipulation}, {Water Manipulation}, {Earth Manipulation}, {Wind Manipulation}, {Lightning Manipulation}, {Metal Manipulation}, {Light Manipulation}, and {Dark Manipulation}. all of the Elemental skills ended up merging together to create {All-Element Manipulation}. I'd also spent $8,000,000 on a Sale, managing to buy the {Predator} Skill Book, and a {Demon Lord Seed} from Tensura. There were other skills, but the others were either too expensive or not worth it.

{True Mana Manipulation} {Passive} {30/100 - 33%} ("Yer' a wizard, Harry." - Hagrid. Allows you to use MP more efficiently. +130% Damage Increase for Skills/Spells that consume MP.)

{All-Element Manipulation} {Passive} {2/100 - 1%} (UNLIMITED POWER... but not really. Allows masterful casting of all elemental magic types. +2% Damage Increase to All Elemental Skills)

{Predator} {TENSURA} {Legendary} {Active} {Not as bad as it sounds. Allows the user to consume anything in it's sight, and either put it in their inventory, or if it's a spell, absorb it and convert it to MP.}

{Demon Lord's Seed} {TENSURA} {Mythical Item} (Heroes are overrated. Demon Lord? now THAT'S a title. one of the Stepping Stones to Greatness. [0/20,000 Souls.])

The only stats that I'd increased over the span of the two months, were STR, DEX, AGI, WIS, and CHA. WIS was mainly raised using Skill Points that I get every level-up, but making some good decisions for the company also helped with that. CHA was raised due to the public speaking and advertisements I'd participated in for the company, along with contract negotiations. STR, DEX, and AGI were mostly due to Instant Dungeons, the staple way for all Gamers to Grind. I'd almost died twice, due to being overconfident, and had gotten the 10% stat boosts in STR and AGI to prove it, along with a new skill.

{Physical Damage Resistance} {Passive} [12/100 - 65%] (THE PAIN! IT'S UNBEARABLE... until it is. Take 6% Less Incoming Damage.)

I wipe the sweat off my face with a cool towel, and open my status screen.

[Name: Zero Nigiro]
[Age: 17]
[Race: Elite Saiyan/Elder Namekian]
[LVL: 24]
[Title: Plagiarist]
[HP: 7100/7100 {Health Points. If your health reaches -10% of it's maximum, you die.}]
[MP: 20000/20000 {Magic Points/Mana Points. These points are deducted when using skills that cost MP.} (+100% Max MP due to Elder Namekian Race)]
[AP: 7100/7100 {Aura Points. These points are deducted instead of HP, until it hits 0.}]

[STR: 111]
[DEX: 130]
[AGI: 107]
[CHA: 130]
[INT: 101]
[WIS: 80]
[LCK: 50 + ? (LOCKED from Last Life)]

That "LOCKED" part is still bothering me, but I can't do anything about it until {Sword Mastery} becomes Max Level.

I'd gained a new title after my company went big. It sounds more like an insult of a skill, but it's pretty useful.

{Plagiarist I} {Epic UPGRADABLE Title} (Wow. Stealing with 0% of getting caught. When using someone else's attack, +50% damage boost.)

I immediately equipped it, and learned that Upgradable titles were titles that could level up along side me. Plagiarist would become an ace in the hole when I would eventually learn the attacks from Dragon Ball.

I'd gained a few Skills after STR, DEX, AGI, CHA, and INT reached 100 too, and holy FUCK were they amazing. I would've gotten the INT one sooner, but I'd needed to surpass 100 to get it. Most Gamers don't start with 100 in a stat, so it makes sense why there would be a couple bugs.

{Kaioken} {DRAGON BALL} {STR REWARD SKILL} {Active} {1/100 - 3%} (Multiplies the user's STR in exchange for HP/MP. [MAX Multiplier: 1] {Cost: 1000 HP/MP Mix x Level Used per Minute})

{Energy Shield} {SUPER SMASH BROS} {DEX REWARD SKILL} {Active} {1/100 - 0%} (Say "Nuh-Uh!" to damage!. Allows the user to throw up a shield that will absorb 100% of dealt damage, until broken, or disabled. If shielded just as the attack is going to land, gain three seconds of Invincibility. 1000 MP per usage. Perfect Shield can only be used equal to this skill's level.}

{Superspeed} {AGI REWARD SKILL} {Active} {4/100 - 44%} (Gotta Go Fast! Multiplies the user's AGI in exchange for MP. [MAX Multiplier: 1] {Cost: 1000 MP x Level Used per Minute}) {Cost: 800 MP/30 seconds}

{Golden Tongue} {CHA REWARD SKILL} {Passive} {20/100 - 0%} (I think we can cut a deal. +20% odds for Bartering, unless it's unreasonable. +10% Discount in all shops.)

{Parallel Thought} {INT REWARD SKILL} {Passive} {10/100 - 62%} (Two minds are better than one, unless one mind can do the work of two. Allows the user to Cast while doing something else, or cast multiple spells/skills at once. +90% MP cost per extra skill.)

Now that I think about it, I should be getting the email from Beacon soon about my enrollment. As much as I despised school, I'm not doing this to learn. I'm doing this to stop Canon from killing the fan-favorites. Also, I wonder if I could force-tame a Grimm. The Grimm Wyvern would be such a cool pet...

Speaking of pets, I'd just remembered that I had those Gacha Tokens, and those Null Tokens. I'd decided on converting the Null Tokens into Monster Gacha Tokens... turning all 10 Null Tokens into 5 Monster Gacha Tokens, and Decided to do a 10-Pull for the Normal Gacha.

[Coffee Crisp] {Healing Item} [Restores 4 HP. a Canadian Delicacy.]

[Toothbrush - 3 Pack] {Misc. Item} [A Three Pack of Toothbrushes.]

[$100] {Money} [...What? It's Money. What more you do you want me to say about it?]

[Obsidian Dagger] {Dagger} [a Dagger made out of Obsidian. Very Fragile.]

Rare! [Wither Skeleton Skull] {MINECRAFT} {Misc. Item} [A Skull that feels Cold to the touch. It reeks of death.]

Rare! [Stand Arrow] {JBA} {Spirit Item} [an Arrow that grants the ability to summon a Stand, the Manifestation of your soul.]

[Hot Chocolate Container] {Misc. Item} [Contains enough Hot Chocolate Powder to make 80 cups.]

[$400] {Money} [...What? It's Money. What more you do you want me to say about it?]

Rare! [Blueprint: P.S.C.] {POKEMON (GAME)} {Blueprint} [a Blueprint for the Pokémon Stasis Computer.]

Super Rare! [The Joy of Creation (By: Doctor Henry Miller)] {DSaF} {Super Rare Skill Book} [A Book that teaches about the Joy of Creation. Teaches {Soul Magic}.]

The Blueprint, The {Wither Skeleton Skull}, and the {Stand Arrow} were all things that I'd make the most out of, but the skill book I'd obtained... had a feeling to it. The very book itself felt malicious. Like it would tear my own skin off for fun. I'd decided to absorb it immediately to get rid of that feeling. I also ate the Coffee Crisp, reminiscing in the taste of home.

{Soul Magic} {Passive} [1/100 - 0%] {"It's the Joy of Creation, Employee." - Some guy with a Rotary Phone for a head. Allows the user to use Soul Magic.}

The Monster Gacha was something that I was quite excited for. Having an army of Monsters that will obey my every command sounds amazing, but mostly I want to have a pet I could cuddle... Now that I think about it, having an Immortal Goberian Husky that never gets sick would be a dream come true... I'm gonna write that down in my notebook, once I'm done with the Monster Gacha.

Rare! [Mooshroom Spawn Egg] {MINECRAFT} {Rare Monster Egg} [An Egg that will spawn a Mooshroom when it's thrown on the ground.]

[Pokémon Egg - Weedle] {POKEMON} {Common Monster Egg} [an Egg that will hatch into a Weedle, given enough time.]

[Pokémon Egg - Shellder] {POKEMON} {Uncommon Monster Egg} [an Egg that will hatch into a Shellder, given enough time.]

LEGENDARY! [Tachyon Egg] {YU-GI-OH!} {Legendary Monster Egg} [a see-through egg that appears to have a Galaxy inside the center. Eight Black orbs with Yellow Stars are seen floating around the Galaxy. the number '107' is written in Red on the side of the egg.]

[Pokémon Egg - Pidgey] {POKEMON} {Common Monster Egg} [an Egg that will hatch into a Pidgey, given enough time.]

Holy Shit. My first Legendary pull from a Gacha, and It's an egg with one of the most Powerful Dragons from Yu-Gi-Oh. I cast Observe on all of the eggs, recieving a message that I'm way too familiar with on all of them except the Mooshroom.

[What's Inside? it's nowhere close to hatching.]

Damn it, I'm a little busy right now, so I can't walk around with the eggs, so I put them inside my inventory, and decide to throw down the Mooshroom Spawn Egg. A small, Red-and-White cow with Red-Capped Mushrooms is laying down on the floor infront of me. The little stubby legs try to stand up, end up stumbling a bit, then manage to hold it's weight. It stares up at me, and I feel something connect the two of us.

[DUE TO A SPECIFIC ACTION, YOU HAVE GAINED A NEW SKILL!]

{Monster Taming} {Active} {1/100 - 10%} (Lets you be able to tame wild creatures/monsters, and summon/unsummon monsters you've contracted with at will.)

I pick up the Baby Mooshroom, and kiss its forehead. "I'm gonna call you Cappie."

[Cappie]
[Female Mooshroom]
[Growth: Baby]
[Owner: Zero]

[Level 1]

[STR: 10]
[DEX: 5]
[AGI: 9]
[INT: 2]
[WIS: 1]
[CHA: 2 + 20 (Baby Bonus)]
[LCK: 3]

Cappie Moos in response, her mushroom caps start shaking due to the vibrations of her moos, causing spores to flutter around.

I'm scrolling through the MV Shop, thinking about where I could make a habitat to put her, when I see a {Pocket Dimension} Skill book going for $15,000,000. I could afford it, but it would be the last thing i'd get to buy for quite some time, unless it's something cheap... Ah, fuck it, It'd be a great investment for the future.

[{Pocket Dimension: Edit} AND {Pocket Dimension: Portal} LEARNED.]

{Pocket Dimension: Edit} {Active} [MAX] {Allows you to edit your Pocket Dimension.}

{Pocket Dimension: Portal} {Active} [1/3 - 0%] {Allows you to open a Portal to your pocket dimension so that other people can enter it. [Max Portal Number = Skill Level]}.

[DUE TO LEARNING A CERTAIN SKILL, A NEW SKILL WAS CREATED.]

{Space Manipulation} {Passive} [1/100 - 0%] {Space. The Final Frontier. Or is it..? Allows the use of Space Magic.}

I know for a fact that that's one step closer to becoming a Timeless, Ageless, Immortal Time Traveler.

I scroll through the options for the Pocket Dimension, and I decide to choose a {Minecraft-World Pocket Dimension}, due to easy base building and easy crop farming.

I step inside the pocket dimension, and notice a few things immedietly. First of all, I'm inside a Mesa Biome. which is an awful first spawn. Secondly, I notice a few kinds of berries hanging off a tree that I'd never seen before. I cast appraisal on the fruits, as I gather a couple.

{Leppa Berry} {Healing Item} [Restores 100 MP when consumed. Sweet yet slightly Spicy.]

{Oran Berry} {Healing Item} [Heals 200 HP when consumed. a Tangy Blueberry taste, that leaves your mouth a bit dry.]

Huh. So items outside of Minecraft are able to grow here. Interesting. I'd purchased a bit of Minecraft's Mycelium Blocks from the MV Store, and made a little area for Cappie, with a fence made of the few trees nearby. I collect all the dirt and wood I can in this small mesa plateau, and make a small wooden box with torches and a door. It's not much but it's home in this Pocket Dimension. There's no reason to spend any more time here for now, so I leave the pocket dimension, while Cappie is spending time inside, getting adjusted to her new home.

As I leave my pocket dimension, I check the Email on my Phone to see that I'd scored 98% on the online written test, and would be allowed to participate in the Forever Fall entrance exam. I guess I'd better get back to training. I'd rather be overlevelled than underleveled. Zombies and Slimes are overrated, Time to try out the Skeleton Dungeon.

A/N: That's it for this chapter. Thanks to everyone who reviewed the story so far. I'd been going through a small rough patch, and I'd completely forgotten about this story for a bit. Thanks specifically to the two people who reviewed my story at the beginning. You two gave me the motivation to keep moving forward, and continue this story, my Magnum Opus. Big shout-out to Gellius G Gloop, the Man with the Big Ideas, and Hayden792, for being the first person to review this dumpster fire of a story. I'll try to respond to as many people as I can, so If you leave a review, there's a very high chance that I'll respond to it in the A/N. Please leave a review if you enjoyed this story, and I'll see you all in the next chapter!
