Kaminari woke up feeling extremely groggy and disorientated however, due to his training (if you could even call it that) he kept his breathing steady as if he was still asleep and tried to make sense of what happened to him this time. He could taste the copper of his blood on his tongue which meant that he either suffered an injury near his mouth or something internal was damaged, honestly Kaminari hoped for the former so that even if he did die, he would be able to get out of this hellhole. He could feel something around his wrists which he would assume to be cuffs however he couldn't be too sure as they weren't jagged like the previous cuffs, and he couldn't feel the warm or dried blood in these ones like the previous ones had. However, he was able to make out a small chain connecting them together, so he assumes they are actually cuffs. He didn't bother trying to discern the smells around him considering most of the smells were either blood or piss it didn't surprise him.

Kaminari let out a mental sigh he was going to have to open his eyes and face whatever was near him wasn't he. He couldn't' hear anything due to something that felt suspiciously like earplugs in his ears and that honestly scared him a little as they never gave people anything to help them only to harm them. Luckily, he was still able to feel the rest of his head by sending microscopic jolts of electricity down his matted hair to identify if anything was wrong and unfortunately it looked like he had a gash above his right eyebrow as his skin began to burn from the electricity glancing over it. This also had the added bonus of loosening his earplugs allowing him to hear better.

As he began to open his eyes, he heard a creak from slightly in front of him causing him to immediately return to the state he was in case whatever was in front of him could be considered a threat to him. Which it was.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the little failure" a honeyed voice said in his ears which immediately made his skin crawl, he would know that voice anywhere. True the voice may have sounded soothing and pleasant, but he was around the voice enough to discern the poisonous lilt underlying her words. He wished he never had to hear this voice again, but he knew that it was impossible, after all it is impossible to escape the clutches of one of the most feared assassins of the eastern hemisphere, Livewire. Given a threat ranking of SS just due to her kill count, now combine that with her charming persona and her good looks it allows her to get to any target no matter how secure they may be. Although there was another reason why he couldn't escape this voice no matter how hard he tried.

Kaminari opened his eyes and glared at livewire with all the hate he could muster and uttered out a single word "Mother."

Kaminari woke up to the feeling of chains wrapped around his torso and hands he was also acutely aware that he was tied up back-to-back against someone else, however he had a feeling he knew who he was tied up to, so he wasn't as worried. Therefore, he spent the few precious moments he had before someone noticed he was awake to survey his surroundings.

He was in the corner of a spacious room with a long desk at the front capable of seating up to 3 people and a bookshelf that reached from the floor to the ceiling on the left wall. There was also a window between the bookshelf and the corner he was tied up in with a small table with some potted plants although one appeared to be dying. On the right wall there was a window leading into a corridor but with the slight sheen on the edges he decided that it was probably either a one-way window or it was actually a video feed of a different hallway on an embedded widescreen monitor.

As Kaminari glanced down at the chain around him to see if he could get free from them, he heard a cough from the front of the room. This caused him and to jerk his gaze to the front watching a small area of the wall shimmer and dissolve revealing it to actually be an illusion hiding 3 people behind it staring disapprovingly at the both of them.

The first was a male approximately 5"9 with traces of Chinese descent. His black hair was cropped to frame his head and the stern visage he sported was offset by the calmness which was found in his black eyes. He was wearing a dark blue kimono the same colour of the ocean waves, with the colour progressively lightening until the hakama was a light blue almost turquoise in colour he had a blue Obi tying it together with a 6-point star acing as the centre piece. Over the kimono was a black haori with a western dragon designed on each side the left side was a dark blue with a turquoise outline starting from the top and going down and the other was the inverse. He carried himself with grace and confidence allowing the kimono to swish around his black shoes as he walked. The head of a blue spear with the head being entwined by varying shades of blue metal peeked over his left shoulder as he walked.

The second male was 5"11 and carried himself with a slight slouch almost as if he didn't wasn't to be there and yet when looking at his face there was an air of resignation and determination. He had short cropped black hair and hazel eyes that were highlighted by small eyebags showing his recent lack of sleep. However even with all of this there was still traces of horrors long past in his eyes. He wore a black chest plate possibly made from carbon fibre and Kevlar with black trousers designed to be form fitting but still being able to give full mobility. Completing this ensemble was a red cloak hanging off of one shoulder and reaching the floor. Over his left shoulder sat the hilt of a sword with a ruby encrusted hilt and a dark silver handle.

The final person was the most terrifying, a woman of 5"9 with chocolate coloured skin glided over the floor her long midnight hair while matted was due to neglect began to raise in the air due to the woman's anger. Her Midnight black eyes were offset by the steely gaze she set forwards. She wore a black formfitting bodysuit which accentuated her muscles and wrapped around her figure causing her to appear as elegant as possible while still promising threats of danger. The white lab coat thrown over her hid the rest of her body, but the clinical white lab coat offset by the black bodysuit would strike fear into the hearts of those who looked at her. She also carried a long black Scythe easily taller than she was in one hand as the chain attached at the bottom of the pole snaked through the air around her reacting to its mistress's rage.

As the illusion faded away all three of them took their seats at the table with the woman on the left and the man in the blue kimono on the right while the second man took the middle seat.

As the chain around him unravelled and disappeared into the aether he pitched forward before rightening himself due to the sudden change of positioning. However, the assailant pitched forward and slammed their head into the ground waking them up and causing them to dart back into a sitting position on the floor while rubbing their head.

"I am very disappointed in you Hari Kyoi." The woman said in a gentle tone with a layer of weariness. Even though she said it with a soft tone the words resonated in the otherwise quiet room which caused both Kyoi and Denki to flinch, even though it wasn't directed at him.

Kyoi shook her head dislodging her hood revealing a childlike face still layered with a slight amount of baby fat with soft blonde curly hair that cascaded down her neck stopping just before her shoulders. She raised her head to look directly in the woman's eyes. Her blue eyes held an undercurrent of fear but also resolve and hatred.

"How could you expect me to live in the same vicinity as the asshole who killed my parents" she growled out staring up at the table. While the woman met her eyes the blue clothed one seemed to be writing in a diary while the one in the middle had his head slightly cowed and preferred to be staring at the woodwork of the table.

Kaminari flinched slightly at this, yes, he knew what he had done but hearing it said out loud in a place where he had started to accept was harsh but necessary.

"What did you expect from going after Kaminari tonight" the woman said peering over her clasped hands. As Kyoi went to respond she continued. "Maybe you were hoping for revenge, or you were hoping to kill him but" at this it almost felt like the air had dropped 10 degrees and a crushing pressure started to surround them. "Did you think you were strong enough to defeat Kaminari in a one on one, maybe you thought that you could catch him unaware and execute him while he slept right." As all Kyoi could do was shake her head in the time given for her to respond before the woman continued. "Or maybe you went there in the hopes of being reunited with your parents." She said with a finality and a weary voice.

At this Kyoi responded. "it's not like that at all Lady Norrowaretta… I just … wanted to cause the same pain to him that he caused me."

All Kaminari could do was bow his head in shame as even with his current emotional range being that of a teaspoon, he couldn't help but feel ashamed for causing another innocent to suffer, to feel the same guilt he felt when 'she' died even though it was a few months ago he had just lost his anchor that kept him afloat turning this 9 year old boy into a shell of a person. A person filled with the desire to die but refuses due to the order she gave him before her death.

While this was going through Kaminari's head tears started to form and fall from Kyoi's face, the small sound of tear splatters echoing throughout the otherwise silent room.

Up at the high table the blue clothed man took a page out of the diary on the table and passed it along to Norrowaretta as she read it the pressure around them began to alleviate and eventually returned to normal. The man in the middle finally looked up at them his hazel eyes shined with a small glint, and he appeared to be dissecting them while the other 2 around him conversed about the paper. He gave a small smile before getting the attention of the everyone in the room by tapping on the edge of the table twice.

"What is it Jojuna Moka." Norrowaretta snapped out.

"Now, now Norrowaretta I know the reason you brought us here is to aid you in settling the punishment for them, however I had a better idea."

"What would that be Jojuna" the blue clothed man said in a calm undertone.

"Nothing too much I already know you were planning on getting them therapy Kuromaku Sana, so I'll leave that up to you, mostly because I suck at my emotions regardless." "That is satisfactory. I'll start preparing some timetables for them as well as booking some of the 'rooms'." "I also was thinking about … and before you get mad at me and blow a fuse hear me out first alright." At the affirmative he was given he continued to the curiosity of the two children in front of him.

First of all, Hari you have broken a numerous amount of rules those being but not limited to, ignoring instructions, breaking and entering, attempted assassination, and breaking into another's safe haven. Therefore, as a punishment you will have monthly." "Weekly" Kuromaku interrupted. "Weekly therapy sessions with Kuromaku, you will also be moved from your apartment to another one with a roommate to keep an eye on you." At this the other 2 looked at him in confusion before Kuromaku got a look of understanding in his eyes before nodding. "And finally, I believe it would be best that you join the academy on top of going to school. This will mean less free time and a lot more homework you will have to do including essays." At this point Kyoi hung her head in resignation as homework was the bane of her existence.

"Do you find these terms acceptable Hari." Norrowarretta said to which Kyoi responded with an affirmative.

"Good then Kaminari due to this event we think it will be best that you be moved into a shared apartment so that no more break in assassination attempts occur. Do you have any requests." Jojuna continued.

As Kaminari opened his mouth to speak Norrowarreta cut in saying "any requests except not being put in a shared apartment as that is the whole point of you being moved." Causing him to close his mouth and reply "No sir, ma'am."

"Good then, you're both dismissed. Kaminari head out first and pack whatever you want from your apartment to bring to the other one you will be moving in about an hour. Kyoi stay here a moment." As Kaminari was about to leave Kuromaku spoke up "I will also be seeing you once a week for the foreseeable future Kaminari so if you don't mind, I'd appreciate if you were free as from 3PM tomorrow." "of course, sir," Kaminari said in a dead voice before proceeding to leave.

"Kyoi I'm sorry for your loss but you have to know that the reason why we stopped you from killing him is for both of your protections, we're not trying to insult your parents lives or deaths, but the world is not black and white either."

All Kyoi could do at this was glare at them until Norrowarretta continued. "Do you think that everyone who kills someone is evil." Kyoi looked up in surprise and just answered "Yes." "Then does that make us evil all three of us has killed before there is innocent blood on our hands but are we evil."

As Kyoi looked at them she felt conflicted, on one hand these were the people who took her in when her parents were killed, yet now they are saying that they have killed before. Unbeknownst or just uncaring about Hari's inner turmoil she continued. "Sometimes death is the kindest thing you can gift someone. I know personally that during the war there were those that toyed with their kills before killing them, but the humane ones tried to give them a swift and merciful death. One reason for this is those that tried to save everyone's life, didn't often live long and were sooner backstabbed by the people they helped, than them being grateful for living. What I'm trying to say here is that your parents had a swift death and it was relatively painless, and it was merciful, if it wasn't Kaminari, you might have had someone who enjoyed torturing their victims and then your parents would have suffered much more than they would now." As Kyoi started to break down again Norrowarretta went up to her and embraced her in a hug. "Sometimes the best thing to choose is to be grateful for the lesser of two evils. Do you understand."

As the inner turmoil inside her head began to subside, she was able to think about and understand what was being said to her. Even as a child she was told she was smart for her age so when something like this was told to her at 9 bordering on 10 years old, she was able to understand and accept it. However, she just couldn't forgive her parents killer so easily but maybe in time she could.

At this she gave an affirmative and let go preparing to leave before Kuromaku stopped her.

"Please wait outside a moment I will accompany you to one of my offices we shall have a therapy session now to help you understand everything that just happened."

"Of course, sir" Kyoi said as she left the door closing with a small click behind her.

Norrowarretta let out a sigh. "Are you sure this is a good idea Moka. There is a lot that can go wrong with this plan of yours."

"I know, Akumu however we both know that if this isn't done, they will not get better and will continue to isolate themselves at least with this they will hopefully connect with others."

"I agree with Moka unfortunately Akumu, even though there are a lot of risks it makes more sense to do this than leave them alone and let them isolate themselves. Although there is another reason for this isn't it Moka its related to that." Sana said with a glint in his eyes.

"You know me too well Sana, but yes, it is related to that." Moka replied.

"of course it is" Akumu said with a fond shake of her head. "Anyways we should start getting ready lots of meetings and projects to do." Moka said. "Oh, by the way why did we use this room rather than some of the normal meeting rooms."

"Did you honestly forget Moka" Sana said in exasperation.

"What am I missing something."

"Yes" Akumu said "Don't you remember Ganko and Hanabi had a big fight the other day, almost all the meeting rooms were trashed by the clash."

"I forgot about that guess I need to order more supplies right."

Yeah, I left the incident report on your desk as well as a copy of our finances for you to look through" Sana said organising his notebook and papers. Knowing full well that Jojuna hated dealing with the finances and that he himself was smarter at the budgeting and managing their finances.

"Well, I've got to go back to my lab need to continue work on those projects." Akumu said standing up. Only for Moka to grab her lab coat and pull her back into her chair. "Nope you are going to go to sleep when was the last time you went to sleep."

"I think it was Monday so not too long ago" She replied.

"Today is Sunday." Moka deadpanned "so go to sleep."

"Actually, I don't think it was last Monday, that she went to sleep. As we had that environmental conference in America and then New Zealand. So, I don't think she slept then." Sana interjected.

"You mean you haven't slept since the Monday before that, no go to bed." Moka snapped out in exasperation.

"Well, I have to manage the experiments who else is going to do that while I sleep." Akumu snapped back.

"I can do it" Moka snapped causing a hush to arise and Sana to pause by the door. It was quiet enough to hear a pin drop and the silence was tense enough that it could be cut like butter. The silence remained for a few seconds longer before both Akumu and Sana burst out laughing, Akumu banging her hand on the table and Sana falling to the floor wheezing from laughing so hard.

"You are going to take care of the experiments Moka, you." Akumu said with mirth. "You can barely take care of plants let alone a science experiment."

"I'm not that bad" he said with indignation. To which they both raised their eyebrows and stared at the dying plotted plant in the corner which at some point was a Bonsai but now appeared unrecognisable due to neglect and failure to maintain it. After following their gaze Moka shrunk back a bit but continued. "I may not be good at taking care of plants, but I can keep an eye on your experiments for a few hours whilst you sleep ok."

"Sure." She drawled out. "I'll trust you to take care of my experiments when that plant looks like a real plant." And almost as if seeing the thought pattern of Moka she tacked on "without using Tsuyoi to bring the plant back to how it looked before."

"Can you stop bullying me, I'm only trying to help." Moka whined out to the laughs of the others.

"Anyways I should go now don't want to leave Kyoi waiting for too long before therapy, so I'll see you tomorrow for the meeting." Sana said.

"Of course. And if you see any of the other founders, please remind them as well I'll send a message top everyone's rooms later." Moka replied with a smile.

"Well see you all later." (Sana) "Goodbye Sana" (Akumu) "See you later man" (Moka)

At this Sana left the room and led Kyoi down the corridor.

Akumu then proceeded to let out a yawn and crack her neck and back which echoed through the room.

"You really need to rest Akumu" Moka said standing up and standing behind he, he then lifted up his hand and with a little concentration caused his palm to start glowing softly he then proceeded lay his hand on her neck causing a small hiss of steam to erupt. As Akumu let out a sigh Moka took it as permission and proceeded to do the same with his other hand and place it on her shoulder blades.

"I know you care about them a lot but overworking yourself like this will not help them."

"I know but it feels like I am this close to a breakthrough and only need a tiny bit more of data to complete it."

"That's what you said last month Akumu, please just rest, at least for today."

As Akumu hesitated all Moka could do was sigh in disappointment. He then walked around the table to face her and clasped her hands in his. "We all have our mistakes, my mistakes with quirk research led to an entire city being destroyed, without the preventive measures you managed to set up, it would have engulfed the whole country. And during the war I fought first and asked questions later. You and the others were my rock to prevent me from spiralling out of control for that I am thankful. But please let us be your rock this time, you are like a sister to me, and I know that the others consider you the same as well. Let us take this burden of yours" After being so sincere Moka was shocked as Akumu removed her hands from his grasp and stood up facing away from him.

"I spent years searching for this cure, but I left it on the backburner because after they brought back Unohana Sama, she was capable of taking care of Ukitake the most. I spent a long time searching and the only thing that was close was Goodpasture's syndrome. I didn't need to care as much. But now, now Kaminari has developed the same condition and with all the healing and treatments I've been trying he wont live for longer than 5 years. After everything he went through, he must still suffer." As Akumu's emotions began to overcome her the room began to darken and where the shadows were the wall/floors began dissolving. As she took a deep breath the corrosion stopped, and she turned around to face Akumu again. "But you are right I can't do anything to help them if I collapse so I'll go to sleep now but afterwards I'm going to continue working on the cure understood."

"Deal" Moka said as he smiled. "Now come on let's pack up and get you to bed." As they packed up and headed to Akumu's room they began to reminisce on the times they had lived through. As Akumu proceeded to the bedroom after they bade each other their goodnight Moka left leaving the door of the lab slightly ajar.
"Well time to sort some paperwork out now." He muttered with a tired smile.

A few minutes later the experiment that was being worked on prior let out puffs of smoke and sparks. One of these sparks hovered in midair after all the other sparks fell to the ground and fizzed out however this one flew out of the door and down the corridor before landing in a medical ward. The spark fell into a packet of pills and burned itself through the casing of one before becoming dormant.

Paradox woke up with a start their red eyes pierced through the darkness of the void, while their white hair trailed across the floor. They looked around at all the streams of information around them trying to identify what happened. When they saw it a small pulse of energy coming from a stream near their left. As they reached out to see the information, they saw a small spark fly through many corridors and embed itself into some medication. "Now, Now, now this is interesting." They said with a voice that overlapped multiple times sounding like at least a thousand people were speaking all at once. "Another anomaly let see how this one will turn out." As they turned around their eyes caught onto many different information streams hidden in the corners. Each one filled with only death and destruction.

"I wonder if it is worth remembering these timelines or letting them go," they wondered. However, after this their eyes widened. "Wait my date do I have to get ready for that yesterday or am I late for tomorrow." At this they grasped one of the shadows nearby which solidified into a door handle which they stepped through arriving in a bustling hallway with multiple variations of themselves each going into different doors."

"The perks of being Paradox" they muttered with a fond smile. They then proceeded to open and reclose many doors some of them led to a school, some a nursery and some to a small house. While others led to a hospital. However, after a few doors they opened door revealing a drab room made of concrete with a small bed for a child and small unopened princess dolls. "I wonder if its still too early to interfere now. I should probably leave for now and continue later." However, before closing the door she placed a small origami swan through the door causing it to float down onto the pillow.

As they left the corridor, they went down they began to look around at the multiple variations of themselves and willed their clothes to change into ones that took their fancy. They ended up wearing a pair of blue denim jeans and a white shirt with a pastel purple jumper. They then ended up in front of another door this time containing a classroom where a middle-aged man with gravity defying dark hair with large eyebags was teaching a class on hero law and ethics. They then proceeded to shove their consciousness into a variation of themselves. As they awoke in their other self in the backseat of their mind, while receiving an acknowledgement form the default consciousness, they allowed a smirk to grace their features while they opened their eyes.

"Now let's see how you change things Kaminari Denki." They said in their shared mindscape as both their and the defaults eyes developed 4 more irises which shone and faded a few seconds later.
