Chapter 11: I've Got a Day Named After Me, February 2:
Jack's POV:
I then spoke with Father Winter. "Can't you just extend the winter," I asked.
"I'M SORRY JACK," says Father Winter, "BUT I TAKE MY ORDERS FROM NATURE! ONCE SPRING COMES, I WOULD HAVE TO STOP THE BLIZZARD!"
"Well, how do you know when Spring comes," I asked.
"THERE IS A GROUNDHOG," says Father Winter, "IF HE GETS SCARED BY HIS SHADOW, THAT MEANS MORE WEEKS OF WINTER!"
I then knew what I had to do.
. . .
I'm going to find the groundhog.
Groundhog: I've got a day named after me, February 2
That's the day that I decide what the weather's gonna do
When I climb out of my borrow
From my cozy little nest
If I see my shadow following
They'll be six more weeks of Winter's best
I've got a day named after me, February 2
Say, that's the day that I decide what the weather's gonna do
It's an easy occupation
I'm only working once a year
I'm a living weather station
Telling everyone Spring is near
I've got a day after me, February 2
That's the day that I decide what the weather's gonna do
What the weather's gonna do
I've got a day after me, February 2!
I then create the illusion of a shadow demon and scared the groundhog back into his home.
. . .
And with that, Father Winter extends the winter and now I just have to take on Kubla Krause.
To Be Continued
In the next chapter, Jack takes on Kubla Kraus.
