I haven't had an update for this in a long time.

I've edited it and went in a different direction

so hope you all like it and give it another try.

Chapter One: Hey You

Aki Naito sat in her english class looking out the window. She already knew what the teacher was talking about so she blocked him out. She had to work at the Sushi Shop tomorrow which was fine with her. She really liked working there. The boss was so nice, he really notice her for her. That was probably the only place where she wasn't compared to her siblings.

Being the youngest of three, one would expect to be spoiled. Instead she was told that she had to be better then them. Her siblings were both top of their class. They have big great sucessful careers ahead of them. If she wanted her parents to notice her she had to be better then her siblings. Top grades weren't going to cut it. Regardless she still stayed on top. She did her very best in everything.

Still that wasn't enough for her parents. She supposed they would continue to ignore her until she did something great. Which she was sure wasn't going to happen. she was great at art. Her parents didn't think that was good enough. Art would never take her anywhere in life. She sighed. To bad. She liked it and she was good.

She got home from school, only to find the house to herself. She sighed. She guessed her parents were still at work. Her brother took off after the bell rang. Probably to go smooth talk some girls. Her room was neat has ever. She threw her backpack on the bed and went in search of cloths to change into. Most were hand me downs from her sister. Her parent never bothered to buy her anything new, if she wanted it she had to buy it herself.

A little desk sat in the corner of her room. She sat on it and got her school books out. All her classes were AP, a mountain of homework was assigned each day.

By the time she emerged from her mountain of homework night had fallen and her stomach was growling. She went down to rummage the kitchen something to eat. Dinner for one that night, which wasn't unusual, in fact these were her favorite nights. Family dinners were torture, smiling and pretending she didn't feel invisible or useless.

After dinner she sketched in her book and finally went to sleep.

Saturday morning, Aki walked into work Kappa Maki. "Hey boss! How's it going."

Her boss Hiroki walked out from the back and gave her a hug, "Aki-Chan, glad you could come in."

She smiled, "Of course, you'd be out of business if I didn't work here."

He pouted, "Would not."

She went into the back and grabbed her black apron and yelled "Would to!"

Work was her favorite thing to do, well beside her art. It was busy and crazy but no one cared if she got good grades or was absolutely picture perfect. Infact after work sometimes she looked a mess.

Aki was halfway through her shift when her boss came to her. "We have a huge order that needs to be delivered."

"So send Ayame."

"Her shift just ended."

Aki sighed, "fine but you owe me."

He smirked at her, "here's the address."

"oh, Haru-chans house. She hardly ever orders."

Aki loaded her bike up with enough food to feed an army and headed off to Haruhi's house a few street overs. In a few minutes she was carrying the food up the stairs to the correct apartment. She knocked loudly, inside she could hear many voices, boy voices. Before she could wonder why the door popped open.

Haruhi didn't answer but a tall boy with glasses did."Er- Hi, delivery for Haruhi."

"Hello you must be Haruhi's restaurant friend." He smiled at her with perfect teeth.

"Yeah." She said slowly. Tall guy, glasses, cold grey eyes she had heard of him. "You must be Kyoya."

He seemed shocked a bit but quickly recovered. He pushed his glasses up and smiled, "Yes, I am."

"I'm Aki. Ranka-chan tells me all about you guys." She walked past him, "Oh Haru-chan, Here. Your order." She looked around and saw the rest of the guys Haruhi went to school with. "So you are feeding an army huh."

"Something like that." Haruhi sweat dropped. "Thank you Aki for the food."

Aki gave her a wink, "made it myself with love."

A blonde came up and grabbed Aki's hand. "Hello beautiful princess. Thank you so much for bringing us lunch." He moved to kiss her hand

Aki quickly pulled it away, "ack, gross does that really work on girls.

Hearing her say that the blonde retrated into the corner despressed. "Any way. I'll go put this down" She walked into the living room and placed the boxes of food down on the table. A cute little blonde boy came up. "Oh wow, you're pretty Haru-chans friend."

She smiled, small, blonde, child-like, carrying a stuffed bunny, she knew who this was "Aki. You're pretty cute yourself, Mitsukuni."

"Hey you know my name."

"Of course. Ranka-Chan talks about you guys when he comes in for lunch. He is very descriptive." She turned a little and saw a tall quiet gray eyed boy. "That must make you Takashi."

Two identical boys came to her. "The Hitachiin brothers, Hikaru and Kaoru. Afraid I don't know who is who though. The blond still sulking in the corner is Tamaki." She turned back around to Haruhi. "I still have half a shift to get through, I'll see you around. Nice meeting you guys."

As she reached the door, Kyoya stopped her, "you forgot your tip." He held out a stack of bills for her. "

Aki's eyebrows shot up, that was more than enough for a tip that was probably the cost of the food. "Um, thank you. Appreciate it." She gave him a small bow as was out the door.

Well Ranka was certainly right about one thing they were rich bastards indeed. She was sure this was at least 100 dollars tip. Once she returned to work the rest of the shift flew by. She was off by mid-afternoon.

Aki returned to an empty house. Her parents were out of town on business and would be back by Monday. Her older sister was in University, and though she had a dorm she would come back home at times. Her old room, was in touched and always waiting for her. She had hoped that once her sister left she would be allowed to move into there, no such luck. Her old brother a senior, was probably out with his friends. He tended to run wild when her parents were away. Did either of them have jobs, of course not. Her parents gave them whatever they wanted whenever. She was the only one who had to work for what she wanted. She dumped her tips into her secret saving spot and went to change her clothes.

Aki was sitting in the living room reading a book, when her doorbell ring. Curiously she got up and opened the door slowly. It was Haruhi and the six boys from school.

"Uh, can I help you?"

They barged in leaving Haruhi behind in the doorway, all making comments as they walked by.

"wow what a little house..."

"...It's bigger than Haruhis."

"Hey we can all fit in the living room."

"is this how all commoners live?"

"Do you think Aki-Chan has delicious treats."

"By my calculations this is considered middle class."

Aki turned to Haruhi, eyebrow twitching, "Are they always like this."

"Yes pretty much." She shrugged her shoulder. "Sorry for the intrusion."

She stepped aside to let Haruhi pass, "It's okay. I wasn't doing anything anyway."

"Is everyone away?"

"Yeah you know how they are."

They walked into the living room, to see the host club boys looking spread around, looking and touching various items.

"Hey be careful, if you break anything it's my butt in the line, ya know."

"Do you dye your hair?" One of the twins asked.

"No, why."

They were eyeing her family picture. While Aki had black hair and dark eyes the rest of her family had light brown hair mixed with blond and grey, hazel, or golden eyes.

"Then how come you look..." one twin started.

"different then your family." The other one finished.

"I'm adopted." She deadpanned.

"Are you really?" Tamaki asked intrigued, eyeing her up and down. "You don't look foreign."

"No, jeez you guys are suppose to be smart and don't know how genetics works." She rolled her eyes. "Anyway, is there a particular reason you've barged into my humble commoner dwelling."

"Not particularly..." one of the twins came at her side, the other one following suit.

"We just wanted to see how commoners live."

Aki stepped forward, causing the twins to fall on each other. "Well we all live in starvation while we work ourselves to death in the hope that one day the rich gods will take pity on us and give us money to live just a little bit better."

The twins rubbed their heads. Tamaki got all teary eyed, "I shall be your god and rescue you dear princess!" He moved to grab her hand once more but she side stepped him.

"Is he always this dramatic?" Aki asked Haruhi.

"Unfortunately."

"Hey look stairs," Mitsukuni said, "is there more to the house? Is that where all the sweets are?" He said big eyed.

"No, that's where the bedrooms are."

"Can we see your bedroom?" He asked with those big cute eyes.

"Mine isn't up there."

"Where is it?"

Aki pointed behind him, to a door. He turned around, "Can I see?"

She shrugged, "Go for it."

The other boys gathered around him, also wanting to get a look. Mitsukuni slide the door open. It was very small, she had a bed, a small desk, a tall thin wardrobe and about two feet of space between the door and her bed. One wall was covered with drawings, some hooks hung on the other wall that held a backpack and jacket, there were no windows. It was very minimal and tiny. Infact she had the smallest room in the whole house.

She could sense that they boys wanted to say some snide comments no doubt, but Takashi spoke before they could, silencing them. "I like your art."

Aki blushed a bit, "oh, uh thank you. It's just a hobby."

Mitsukuni spoke out, "I think your drawings are pretty. Could you draw one of Usa-chan for me? Please?" He turned his adorable eyes to her once more, holding up his pink bunny.

"S-sure of course. Maybe you can tell me more about Usa-chan."

After an hour and some "commoner coffee" as Tamaki called it Haruhi and the boys left. Aki felt strangely exhausted after the visit. She got Mitsukuni's address, which would take three trains to get there, and a promise to have his drawing soon.

Okay first chapter re-done. Let me know what you all think. I'm still trying to figure out Ali's personality and how she will fit in with the groups shenanigans and dynamic.
