Not a particularly long chapter but I hope you all enjoy it regardless.

Ellie Bishop: Yep LOL! Trust that feeling. Yep.

TW: It certainly is.

Traveling Guest: Yep. Indeed. Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot that Everett can do right now. Yep. Indeed, Toomes may not have been a very good guy, but he doesn't deserve this. Spoilers.

Avengers Compound

Morning

"I am here in Vienna where the members of the United Nations are ratifying the Sokovia Accords. Although hundreds of people have come to attend the signing of The Accords, it's notable that none of the Avengers have chosen to attend."

In the longue, Steve, Tony, Sam and Rhodey all watched the news report on The Accords before Tony turned to Steve.

"Well, we knew we couldn't stop it," Tony noted and Steve nodded.

"No, there was no stopping it. But hopefully by refusing, we can convince the UN that they need to work with us instead of trying to make us work for them," Steve said although he doubted it would be that simple.

"Think we'll have to deal with Ross first," Sam muttered as Natasha entered the room.

"You can say that again. I just got off the phone with Sharon, Ross managed to get Zemo transferred to the Raft," Natasha and they all looked at her in shock.

"How the Hell was he able to do that? The Accords haven't even gone into effect," Rhodey said in shock.

"Well he's apparently pulling a Palpatine," Sam muttered sarcastically and Steve shot him a confused look. "He's giving himself more power so he can take over the government."

"Well, can't say you're wrong," Steve said with a sigh.

"Fury better hurry up and get that smoking gun on Ross, because we really need it. Whatever Ross wants with Zemo, it can't be good," Tony said uneasily.

The Raft

Not long after

In his cell, Zemo sat against the wall, wondering what he was doing here. It was very unusual to put him in this kind of prison. Hearing someone step up to his cell, Zemo looked up, seeing Ross standing outside his cell.

"Secretary Ross. May I ask why I'm here?" Zemo asked, not liking the smirk that crossed Ross's face.

"You're here, Mr. Zemo, because you have information I want. And you're not leaving until I get it," Ross said before looking Zemo right in the eye. "Now, tell me about Siberia."

Hell's Kitchen

Afternoon

In downtown New York, a fire was ragging over an apartment building. Firefighters lined up outside, trying to put the fire out even as their fellow firefighters rushed people out of the burning building. A woman came rushing towards the building and one of the fire fighters stopped her, preventing from going inside.

"I have to get in there! My baby's in there! My baby!" she shouted frantically.

"Ma'am, I can't let her go in there," the fire fighter said regretfully, trying to calm her down.

"Look! Up there!" a woman who had been watching the fire pointed up to the sky.

Everyone looked, seeing Spider-Man swinging by before he swung himself into a window of the burning building. For a moment, everyone merely watched, no one saying a word. Then there was an explosion of fire and the woman wailed.

Then, before another explosion rocked the building, Spider-Man jumped out the window, a bundle in a blanket in his arms. The woman almost wailed in relief as Peter used his webbing to gently lower himself to the ground before walking over to the woman, holding the bundle out to her.

"Your baby's fine, Ma'am," Peter said, making his voice a little deeper to sound older as the woman took her baby, frantically checking her child over.

Out of view, Toomes, in his new Vulture suit, was in the air, using the technology in his visor to zoom in on Peter.

Toomes didn't like what he would have to do next, but Ross had been very clear. Any hesitation and his family would pay the price.

"Thank you. Thank you," the woman told Peter tearfully, clutching her baby tightly. "Thank you."

Peter opened his mouth to speak when an unsettling feeling came over him. Peter turned his head, seeing what looked like a green Iron Man suit with wings and a bird like helmet flying towards him. Peter jumped into the air, swinging away, unsurprised when the man in the suit flew after him.

"Don't you know it's a little early for Halloween?" Peter quipped as he swung away.

Toomes didn't respond, hating what he was about to do. From what he knew, Spider-Man looked out for everyday people such as his wife and daughter. But he had no choice. In a choice between Spider-Man and his family, his family would always win.

From his shoulders, two guns deployed before firing at Peter. Peter, not expecting this, was taken by surprise as the bullets easily cut through his webbing and Peter felt a pain in his side before falling down, landing inside a nearby dumpster.

Peter would normally be complaining about the smell of the dumpster, but the pain in his side paralyzed him as he realized he'd been shot. It hurt. A lot.

Peter's thoughts were interrupted by Toomes flying down, landing on the edge of the dumpster. The guns folded back into the shoulder pads of his suit before Toomes reached into the dumpster, grabbing Peter by the front of the suit and lifting him up.

"Sorry Spider-Man, but my boss wants to see you," Toomes said regretfully.

So focused on Spider-Man, Toomes didn't even sense someone approach until they had wrapped a chain around his neck. Toomes struggled, letting Peter drop back into the dumpster before the engines on his wings flared to life and he took off into the air and the person who had the chain around his neck let go. Toomes shrugged off the chair and looked down, surprised to see who had attacked him.

"I don't know who you are, but you picked the wrong neighborhood to attack a superhero," Daredevil said, dressed in his red suit.

"Stay out of this, this doesn't concern you," Toomes told him.

"I'm making it my concern," Daredevil said unflinchingly.

With a growl, Toomes deployed his guns again, this time firing at Daredevil. Daredevil jumped out of the way, using the wall of the alley they were in as a trampoline to propel himself into the air. Daredevil then threw a Billy Club at Toomes, but it merely bounced off his armor.

With a roar, Toomes flew towards Daredevil although Daredevil dropped down and rolled out of the way, avoiding Toomes. Toomes whirled around, his wings making a slash on the alley wall, before he managed to kick Daredevil in the abdomen. The red clad hero went flying, hitting the dumpster back first. The blow had caused Daredevil to lose his breath as Toomes neared him.

"Sorry, but I have orders. And I can't let anyone stop me," Toomes said regretfully.

Unnoticed by Toomes, the knock against the dumpster had knocked Peter back to his senses. Seeing what was about to happen, Peter painfully pulled himself up when he saw a flag pole nearby. Getting an idea, Peter shot off a stream of webbing, which struck the flag pole and he yanked on it, hard.

Exactly as he thought, the pole broke off and came towards him. Before it could, Peter swung the webbing and it went sailing towards Toomes. Toomes didn't notice it until the flag pole struck him in his visor. It shattered and Toomes cried out in pain as the electronics in his helmet sparked, burning him.

It was then that the sound of police sirens filled the air. Toomes knew he couldn't take on them, Daredevil and Spider-Man, especially when his visor was broken. That left him one option. Toomes turned and took off into the sky.

Daredevil was getting to his feet when he heard movement behind him. He turned around, his senses allowing him to see Peter crawling on the wall, trying to get away.

His first instinct was to call after him, but Matt resisted. Spider-Man clearly didn't want his help. And he had to get out of their anyway. He had enough trouble with the police.

Not long after, the police cruisers pulled up outside the alley. George Stacy got out of one, looking around the alley, which was now empty.

"Spread out, find anyone matching the description of the man after Spider-Man, but do not engage," George ordered.

"Sir, what about Spider-Man?" one of his officers asked and George was silent for a moment.

"Don't engage him either. If you find him…see what he's doing and report back," George ordered.

His officers spread out, looking down other buildings as George walked down the alley. He stared at the slash marks on the alley walls for a moment turning away; looking for anything else that caught his attention. He then frowned as he noticed spots of blood on the other alley wall. Walking over to it, he looked up seeing it was leading up to the roof of the building.

Not long after, George walked onto the roof, looking around. Hearing something, he rounded the corner where he stopped, staring.

Spider-Man was on the roof, on his side, clutching his hip. George immediately rushed over, realizing he was injured.

"Spider-Man, can you hear me? It's Captain Stacy; you rescued my wife and daughter from Marko. Spider-Man?" George called out and but received no response, realizing Spider-Man had passed out.

George's mind raced, trying to come up with what to do next.

By law, he should take Spider-Man to the hospital, where he could receive medical attention and then be arrested. And under normal circumstances, he would. Except Spider-Man had saved his family from Marko, had saved Gwen twice.

George stood for a moment, trying to figure out what to do. But, in his heart, he knew what the right thing to do was. It broke every law about vigilantism he knew. But sometimes, the lawful thing and the right thing weren't the same thing.

George pulled out his phone and dialed his wife's number before putting it to his ear. After a few rings, his wife picked up.

"George?"

"Helen, meet me at home. And bring your surgical tools. I have someone who needs medical attention, and they can't go to a hospital."

Things are continuing to heat up.

Hope you guys enjoyed the Daredevil cameo. I'm unsure whether he will show up again, but felt like this would be a great opportunity for a cameo.
