this is just a random scenario i'v had in my head for the last couple of days, i hope you enjoy this mini story :D
Triple H walked into Austin's locker room to see him chugging a cold beer with one of the tag championship belts in hand. He smirked at his partner.
"Enjoy our recent victory, Austin?" Triple H said, leaning against the doorway.
Austin finished chugging his beer can, which he dropped on the floor. A sly grin formed on his face. "Of course, Hunter. We stomped a mud hole on the Hardys tonight."
They shared a nod of satisfaction, glad they had defended their tag team championship. Austin's locker room was dimly lit, making the belt gleam in the shadows. Triple H took his tag belt and tossed it to the other side of the room, not caring about its condition.
Deep in thought about their recent victory over the Hardy Boys, Austin opened another beer can and threw it over to Triple H. "Hell of a match, wasn't it, Hunter?"
Triple H caught the beer can and said, "Hell of a match indeed." He sat down to relax. "They sure did put up a fight between those two; however, in the end, the two-manpower trip always comes out on top. You want to know why, Austin? Because the game said so."
Austin grinned at Hunter, copying his phrase. With a beer in hand, he mocked a toast to the toughest SOBs in the WWF. They both clinked their cans in together and exclaimed, "To the two-manpower trip!" They chugged their beers, satisfied with their performance tonight, still being tag team champions.
As the two-man power trip celebrated their recent victory, someone barged into their room, shaking them up. It was none other than Kurt Angle, who looked around to see the tag belts lying on the floor with no care in the world.
Angle scoffed at the sight. "Really, guys? Could you at least show some respect for the titles?" he remarked with a hint of disdain.
Austin and Triple H exchanged glances, unimpressed by Angle's sudden appearance in their locker room. Triple H raised an eyebrow at Angle. "Respect, Angle? Austin and I have just defended our titles in one hell of a match; we've earned the right to celebrate how we want."
With Austin agreeing with Hunter, he said, "Besides, we're the champs; we'll show respect when we feel like it."
Angle, irritated by their behaviour, shook his head. "You guys might be tag champions, but that doesn't mean you can treat the belts like trash. Those belts have a legacy; it is a tradition to treat those titles with the respect they deserve."
Austin laughed. "Legacy? Tradition? Angle, me, and Hunter have made our own legacy, and that is by being the baddest tag team in the WWF. If you want some respect, face us in the ring, and we will show you what respect really means."
Angle looked at them both with irritation and determination. He crossed his arms with a smirk on his face. "You two think you are the baddest tag team in the WWF? I've been looking for a good fight, and if it means I have to beat some sense into you two by treating the titles with respect, then that's all I need to satisfy my needs."
Triple H stood up and got in Angle's face. "You're on, Angle, you're on," he said seriously, but that serious demeanour he had just one second ago faded away, replaced with a grin on his face. "Oh, I just remembered. You want to face me and Austin, Angle? How will you beat the two baddest men in the WWF on your own?"
Austin stood up from his chair and added his own two cents to the mix. "That's right, Kurt. You're lucky enough to beat one of us in a single match; what gives you the idea that you can take us both down on your own?"
Angle, listening to their threats, continued to smirk. "Do you remember who you are talking to? I'm Kurt Angle, the guy who won a gold medal with a broken freakin' neck! I can easily take both of you on without breaking a sweat."
Triple H and Austin exchanged amused glances at Angle's confidence. Triple H walked away from Austin and Kurt; he leaned against a wall with a grin on his face.
"Kurt, Kurt, Kurt," Triple H said while shaking his head in a mocking tone. "Winning a gold medal is cool and all; however, this isn't the Olympics, Angle; this is the World Wrestling Federation; this is where the big boys play."
Austin, still holding a half-empty beer can, added, "You might have won a gold medal, but you will step into the ring with the two baddest SOBs in the World Wrestling Federation."
Angle, undeterred by their threats, smirked. "I guess I'm going to have to show you both what having Olympic gold means. I might not be able to stomp a mudhole like both of you can; however, I can sure make both of you tap out in the middle of the ring tonight."
Austin smirked, chucking his empty can into a nearby bin. "You sure talk a big game, Angle; however, actions speak louder than words. When we enter that ring tonight and when you take a Stone Cold Stunner and Pedigree, then maybe you might understand why you shouldn't mess with us."
Triple H, still smirking at his thoughts, said, "And maybe when your ass is on the ground, looking up at the light above, you will understand why you shouldn't mess with the two-manpower trip."
Angle, with a determined look, nodded. "All right, let's do this," he said and began to walk away. But before he walked out of Austin's room, he turned around to look at the two-man trip. "And if tonight's match doesn't go to plan,"
Angle paused for a moment, a smile forming on his face. "Well, let's just say that this Olympic gold medalist has his own insurance policy. You two will find out soon enough," he said cryptically before making his exit.
The celebratory atmosphere the two-manpower trip had before Angle appeared quickly faded away as the two looked at each other, unsure about Angle's plan. They both decided not to think too much about Angle's little threat, and with that, the two-man power resumed their celebration, chugging beers and having a straight-up good time.
Throughout the night, Kurt Angle continued with his plan to get one over on the two-manpower trip. Angle, currently backstage, thinking about his "insurance policy," realised that he actually didn't have a plan. He just said to the two-man power trip that he did have one so that he could plant a small seed of fear in them both.
He panicked, knowing he had probably just screwed himself over and was probably going to get absurdly battered by Austin and Hunter. But as if on cue, his phone in his pocket began to vibrate. Stunned, he reached into his pocket to realise that he was being called by an unknown caller.
Kurt Angle hesitated for a moment before answering the call from an unknown number. He brought the phone close to his ear, hearing the caller's voice echo through his phone.
Unknown caller "Angle, you might be over your head with the insurance policy and going against the two-man power trip tonight. However, I can help you out tonight and tonight only."
Angle, unsure if he should trust the mysterious caller, asked him a question. "Who the hell are you? And why do you want to help me out?"
The mysterious caller chuckled. "Well, let's just say, Kurt Angle, even though we've had our differences in the past, we both share a common interest: to take down Austin and the game. So what do you say?"
Kurt took the time to listen carefully to the mystery caller on the other end of the line. The offer of someone wanting to help him take down the two-man power trip intrigued him.
Angle hesitated for a moment but decided to accept the mysterious caller's proposition. "Alright, mystery caller. I don't mind teaming up with you. However, I just want to make my point clear: we aren't suddenly becoming best friends when this is all said and done."
The mysterious caller chuckled. "Fair enough, Angle. Even though we've had our issues in the past, we need to make sure that cooler heads prevail and use our teamwork to take down the two-man power trip once and for all."
Listening to the caller, Angle smiled, knowing that someone at least had his back. "Alright, man. Just make sure that if you really are willing to help me, meet me backstage before the match starts, so I know we're on the same page."
The caller agreed to Angle's demands and hung up the phone, leaving Angle with a sense of security, knowing that if anything goes wrong, someone will have his back.
As the night progressed, the anticipation for the main event grew. The main event for the night would be the two-man power trip vs. Kurt Angle, with the tag championships on the line.
The two-man power trip made their entrance first. They walked down the ramp, confident about their upcoming match with Angle. The crowd's reaction to the duo was mostly boos, but some fans cheered. The two made their way into the ring and started talking to the fans, explaining how they were going to kick Kurt Angle's ass and how he would regret even thinking that he could take them on.
As the duo was talking to the fans, Angle, backstage, was waiting for his mystery partner to show up. Luckily enough for Angle, the two-man power trip was taking their time talking to the fans, so he at least had that going for him. But as he felt that he had been duped by the caller, Angle felt someone place a hand on his shoulder. The sudden touch made him jolt in place, but as he composed himself, he turned around to see his old rival.
As the two-man power trip finished their promo, Angle's music hit, which made the crowd pop. Angle walked to the top of the ramp and looked around to see the fans truly excited to see him hopefully beat the two-man power trip.
The positive fan reaction made him smile. He began to walk down the ramp, but as he was about to enter the ring, his music stopped. Actually, not only did his music stop, but the whole arena went pitch black. There was only silence in the building, as if time had stopped.
As the anticipation of what was happening grew, suddenly, the sound of electricity could be heard through the arena. But before anyone could realise what was happening, The Rock's theme song hit, which made the fans go crazy. The Rock, the People's Champion, made his grand entrance. Austin and The Game looked at each other like they had just seen a ghost, not believing that their old rival had returned to the WWF.
The rock stood at the top of the ramp with the microphone in hand. He tilted his head upwards and said, "Finally, the rock has come back... home." The crowd erupted with cheers, and the Rock continued, "The Rock has come back to the WWF for one thing only, and that's revenge."
Listening to the rock's words, Austin narrowed his eyes and grabbed a nearby microphone. "Revenge for what? For me kicking your ass at WrestleMania?"
The rock nodded. "Exactly. The Rock wants revenge for what you did to me at WrestleMania. The Rock wants to make the Rattlesnake live a living hell, and if that means I have to take you two jabronis down and claim the tag championships with Kurt Angle, then that's fine by me."
Listening to Rock's words, Austin chuckled and grabbed himself a nearby microphone. "I can't believe this. You're so desperate to get revenge on me for whooping your ass at WrestleMania that you would align yourself with the Olympic geek, Kurt Angle."
Austin paused for a moment to think about what to say to piss the rock off. "I can't believe that you would stoop that low. Maybe, Rock, you should just retire so that you can save yourself from further embarrassing yourself and tarnishing your own reputation as the great one."
As Austin finished taunting the rock, the rock's expression remained unchanged. He raised his eyebrows and spoke, "Retire? The rock will never retire. The rock is here to stay with the WWF. The rock will lay the SmackDown Hotel on you two jabronis. Maybe you should be the one to retire after all is said and done because the rock knows that you can't handle being beaten by the Great One."
But before Austin could respond to the rock's words, the rock dropped his mic and ran down the ramp straight into the ring with Angle on his side. The match started chaotically, with punches being thrown all over the place and bodies on the floor. The rock sent Austin over the top rope, and Triple H threw Angle over the top rope. The Great One and The Game came face-to-face, staring each other down.
Hunter did the DX crotch chop and threw a punch at the Great One, but the rock parried his punch and started to throw some swift right hooks, making the fans go crazy. Outside the ring, Angle and Austin managed to make it to their respective sides, with the babyface team on the top left and the heels on the bottom right for the Two-Man Power Trip.
The match continued as the rock hit The Game with a Samoan drop, causing him a lot of pain, especially in his back. Hunter shortly got back up and kicked the rock in the knee, making the rock cry out in pain. Hunter continued to do damage to the rock's knees, and though the rock tried to stand back up and fight back, he couldn't.
Seeing this as an opening, Hunter tried to go for the pedigree, but the rock managed to avoid it and pushed The Game away, giving himself some space. He tagged Angle so that he could recuperate from his damaged knee. Triple H tagged Austin, and the pace of the match intensified.
Austin and Angle locked up in the centre of the ring, showing their technical skills. Shortly after their back-and-forth encounter, Angle hit Austin with three suplexes. As he was about to perform his fourth one, Austin countered it with a DDT. With Angle lying on the mat, Austin began to throw some kicks at Angle's stomach. After some swift kicks, Austin grabbed Angle by the head and taunted him, "You thought you could mess with the two baddest men in the WWF? You are way over your head, Angle."
As Austin was about to perform his next attack, Angle managed to low-blow him, resulting in a mixed reaction from the crowd. Austin crashed down to the mat shortly after. Angle, seeing an opportunity, tagged the rock, making the fans go crazy. The rock entered the ring and started to annihilate Austin with punches and kicks.
Seeing that Austin was weak, the rock performed the Rock Bottom on him, attempting to follow it up with the People's Elbow. Midway through, while the ref was distracted, Triple H, with a chair in hand, smashed the rock's back, making him crash down face-first. Angle, seeing Triple H's sneak attack, ran towards him and tackled him, resulting in an all-out brawl.
In the ring, Austin, having enough time to recuperate from the Rock Bottom, attempted to perform the Stone Cold Stunner. The rock countered the attack and successfully performed another rock bottom. But as the rock was about to win, Triple H broke the pin, saving his partner. The rock shortly after took a pedigree from The Game and was about to lose, but Angle managed to sneak attack and apply the Angle Lock on Triple H.
The crowd cheered as Triple H cried out in pain, trying to reach the ropes. Every time he was close, Angle pulled him away. With Austin and the Rock knocked out and only Triple H and Angle in the ring, it was a matter of time before The Game tapped out. Triple H gritted his teeth, enduring the pain.
During his pain, he stood highly, then flipped forward to try to knock Angle off his game, which led to Angle colliding with the referee, but those short seconds of Angle being caught off guard didn't save the game from Angle applying the ankle lock again while he was trying to recover.
Outside the ring, Austin, still recovering from the Rock Bottom earlier, managed to get himself a steel chair and entered the ring. Angle focused on his Ankle Lock on Triple H, didn't see the chair Austin had in his hands. Austin smashed the chair into Angle's skull with so much force that it sounded like a gunshot echoed through the arena. Angle fell to the ground, dazed out of his mind, and Triple H exited the ring to recover from the pain he just took
Austin, with the chair in hand, noticed that the ref was getting back up. He threw the chair out of the ring and went for the cover. The ref began to count slowly, and as the ref was about to count to three, the rock, from out of nowhere, stopped the pin, causing the crowd to go crazy.
The Rock, electrified with energy, started to beat the living hell out of Austin. After a long beating, the Rock executed the Rock Bottom, then shortly after performed the People's Elbow. After a gruelling battle, the ref counted to three, declaring Rock and Angle as the new tag champions.
The rock got up from the mat and began to celebrate his victory. Midway through his celebration, he looked outside of the ring to see his teammate lying on the ground, surrounded by a pool of blood. The rock went out of the ring and helped Angle up, putting his head below Angle's shoulder and helping him up the ramp.
As the Rock and Kurt Angle made their way onto the top of the ramp, the crowd erupted in cheers for the new tag champions. The two men, even though they had their differences, raised their arms in victory, showing their unity and triumph over the Two-Manpower Trip.
