VixenPaws eyes opened and she was in a small field, siverpelt was glittering with stars and a bitter chill tinged her fur.
VixenPaw tentatively stepped forwards, her paws crunching the frosty grass, she etched forwards and suddenly she caught a glimpse of orange fur as a cat showed it's self at the edge of her peripheral vision. She turned and watched as the cat stared at her for a couple seconds, frozen in fear, before pelting into the bushes.
VixenPaw sprinted after her, her paws thrumming on the frozen ground. Why is the cat running from me? The orange cat ran under a log and suddenly Vixenpaw was stood on a sheet of thin ice, every bone in her body still in horror. She couldn't move or the ice would break.
A deathening crack filled her ears as she was plunged into icy water - it rushed into her ears and mouth. VixenPaw opened her mouth to scream, but the sound was soaked up by the icy water.
Oxygen started to seep out of VixenPaw's nose as she tried to fight her way to the surface,
Help!
As if her call had been heard by starclan the ginger cat dived under the water. Vixenpaw recahe dout her paw, thinking that the cat was going to save her but instead the cats leant down and attached itself to her deck. Scarlett rippels of blood tinged water filled her sight.
The taste of blood filled her mouth as her throat was ripped out and the orange cat pushed itself towards the surface. And she floated downwards
Stop! Stop it, Please!
ThornPaw watched as the brown she-cat turned in her sleep,
Is she okay?
ThornPaw brushed off the thought as he continued collecting moss for her. Becaus eof how strong the river was no cats could get over ,so the cat who ThornPaw had found half drowned earlier was staying with them. AspenStar had tasked ThornPaw with taking care of this cat and getting her food and bedding. Even though ThornPaw didn't really know this cat he felt bad for her, the medcat had seen her and she had a was finne but...
She's going to be seperate from her clan for a couple days,
The sun was high in the sky by the time the she-cat woke up, she blinked oppen her eyes and looked around, confusion filling her gaze,
"Where am I?" She asked ThornPaw, still looking around,
"ThunderClan camp, we'll be taking care of you until the river goes down," ThornPaw explained, watching as the she-cat stood up, shook out her fur and stretched her legs.
"What's your name?" ThornPaw asked, she looked at him, her eyes full of suspicion but she then shook it of and gave him a small smile,
"VixenPaw and Your is ThistlePaw" she asked, her pelt fluffing out, she joking - at least she's feeling better.
"Ha ha, so funny," he almost purred out, but stopped himself, he was a virtually stranger- it would be a bit odd if he purred at her.
She smiled and turned to look out the den, ThunderClan camp was decently empty so ThornPaw figured he would show her around. ThornPaw showed her the nursery, were the three kits played, nipping and jumping on each other. They had taken kindly to meeting the new stranger and Vixenpaw was nice- she had played with them until their mother had called them to eat. At the end of the small tour, ThronPaw took VixenPaw back to the medicine den and she setteled down into the nest.
ThornPaw trotted back to the apprentice den and lay down in his next. TigerPaw looked up as he entered
"Who was that cat with you earlier," he asked, his voice slightly drowsy.
"Just some RiverClan apprentice I saved in the river yesterday," Thornpaw yawned
"I thought those mangey fish-eaters could swim, why did you have to save it," TigerPaw half-growled before settling down and falling into a deep sleep.
