Lilypaw woke up to the noise of low whispering from outside the den, she stood up and dragged herself outside sleepily. She went over to SparkPaw, whose orange fur was fluffed out with anxiety.

"What's wrong?" LilyPaw yawned out, glancing around the clearing

"VixenPaw is with ThunderClan!" SparkPaw mewed

"Why?!" Did they steal her? Is she okay? These thoughts pricked at Lilypaw like thorns but she wouldn't have to deal with them for long.

"Well, the river swept her away and she was saved by a thunderclan cat," breathlessly Sparkpaw explained to LilyPaw "Because no cat could cross over they agreed to take care of her until the river goes down,"

Well, she's not in trouble, LilyPaw though, forcing the fur on her shoulder to lie flat. LilyPaw still couldn't shake the feeling something bad was going to happen.

"Hey, Lilypaw!" LilyPaw looked around to see who was calling her name, she saw StonePaw flicking his tail, motioning for her to come and speak to him.

LilyPaw grunted to let him know she was listening.

"Since VixenPaw isn't here, do you want to go hunting?"

"Yes, sure!" Lilypaw mewed, happy to have something to take her mind off things, the two cats padded out of the camp enterence.

Lilypaw and StonePaw continued deeper into the forest than Lilypaw had ever been alone before.

As if StonePaw had sensed her discomfort he moved closer to her,

"Are you okay?" he asked

"Yes but..." she looked at the ground awkwardly "Is it okay if we don't go any further?"

StonePaw nodded and stopped,

"Lilypaw, you know how we are going to be warriors soon?" he asked, LilyPaw nodded, she, VixenPaw and StonePaw were all supposed to be having there warriors assessments soon.

Vixenpaw wont unless ThunderClan lets her back though!

StormPaw continued "What do you want to be once you get your warrior name,"

LilyPaw looked at the ground, what did he mean? All she wanted was to be a regular clan cat, to fight for her clan, to serve her leader and to have a family. That's all.

"What do you want," she asked him, he looked at the ground and suddenly his voice broke out is a low pitched wail.

"I don't know! I... I wanted to ask you because you always seem to know!"

LilyPaw looked down at the floor, as a younger apprentice she want to be exactly like Rainflower; a queen, with a mate and kits. One, who even though she was a queen could still fight like a warrior and still acted like one.

But she didn't know what she wanted anymore.
