Disclaimer:

I do not own trolls. Dreamworks has all rights. First three chapters are a fanfic of a fanfic; Lone Concert originally by Dawnbuneary. The story has been dead since 2017 and I desided to pick it backup so here is my take on this trollverse. Hope you enjoy.

While the trolls were distracted among themselves Gristle and Bridget were still having a conversation with one another. "It is!" Gristle said when Bridget told him that she thought true happiness was possible. "True happiness is a lot closer than you think. It's right here." He said as he showed her the clip that held his cloak up. Bridget did not see anything special from it and felt a little disappointed that he thought a material thing might make him happier than she could but she didn't want to be rude. "That's pretty, I guess." Gristle understood Bridget's confusion and he really wanted to impress her so he first down plaed what exactly was in his hands. He then opened it to reveal a purple troll. "What do you think now? I've been savoring this little guy. Tell me, my lady, will I be seeing you at the Trollstice feast?" He asked hopefully. "Well, duh. I'll be working." Bridget said without thinking about her comment. "It!" Poppy quickly added. "It. Working it. You know. Workin' it." Bridget said realizing her mistake and got out of the booth to strike a pose to prove her point and it had worked back the king was more than thrilled. "Yeah! You're not kidding, you will. Because you're gonna be there as my plus one." He said with more confidence than he actually had. "Really?" Bridget asked, not quite believing what she heard. "Assuming you'll say yes?" Gristle then said nervously ralizing he might have been too forward and didn't want to scare her off. "Yes!" Poppy quickly said for Bridget who was already on her way to replying for herself. "Yes!" Bridget said, not actually hearing Poppy having been so lost in the moment. Her dreams were coming true! "Yes! Meantimes, maybe we should find some other way to. Work up an appetite." The King was glad to hear he would have this beautiful creature with him on one of the biggest days of his life.

"Oh, yeah? What did you have in mind?" Bridget said, replying to his statement. What he had had in mind was roller skating which they did really well as they danced under the disco ball and took in the music and neither of them fell and Bridget didn't lose any of the troll either. But right after Bridget was successful in doing the angel lift to Gristle they were interrupted by the Chef who had been looking for the king. "Your majesty. You seem to be having. Fun." She said displeased. The Chef was not happy at this development. If he became happy without a troll then she would never be queen. "I am! Meet the lovely Lady Glittersparkles." King Gristle introduced to the Chef who just took in the girl's appearance. "You remind me of someone." She said curiously as Bridget stood there nervously. Gristle might not know she was a scullery maid because he never paid any attention to her before but Chef definitely would figure it out. This was bad. But before anything else could develop King Gristle interrupted both of their thoughts with his announcement. "She's gonna be my plus one." The Chef then figured that as long as they were still continuing with Trollstice she could at least play along as supportive. "Oh, I see. For a moment there I was concerned you were changing the plan. Well, this won't be a problem at all, Your Highness. I'll just get my worthless scullery maid to get. Another place setting ready for the lovely. Lady Glittersparkles." Bridget ran needing to get out of there she could not let Chef figure things out and she felt that she was dangerously close to doing so. "Put her place next to mine. I want her right by my side. Hey! Lady Glittersparkles?" Just noticing her absence. "Lady Glittersparkles! I'll see you at Trollstice, yeah? I miss you already." He said to himself as he lifted the roller skate that had fallen off of her foot. He rolled the wheel and then thought it would be smart to then kiss it. "Ow!"

"I think the king really likes us." Cooper said. "I know, right? That was the greatest day of my life! Thanks, Poppy. Thanks to all of you! Even you, I guess." Bridget said to the trolls and the last part to Branch who then dropped his smile. Really if it wasn't for him you would still be stuttering like a fish thank you very much. "I just never thought something like that could happen to me. And it just did! I'm so excited I could just scream." Bridget then let out the quietest scream anyone has ever heard but they could all tell that it was still somehow filled with excitement. "I could scream too! Creek is alive!" Poppy said excitedly. All the trolls then proceeded to scream but were then stopped by this horrible shouting noise. They all then turned to Branch with looks of concern on their faces. "Branch, what's wrong?" Poppy asked worriedly. "Nothing. I thought we were celebrating." Branch said, confused at the looks that were being given to him. The Snack Pack then looked at one another before responding carefully. "That's your happy shout?" Cooper asked slowly. Not sure what branch's response would be. To all of their releaf he just frowned at them. "It's been a while." Poppy suddenly realized that Branch was honestly trying to join in with them like she had hoped for for years and she didn't want him to feeldiscuraged. "Well, you're gonna have plenty of practice, because we're gonna save Creek. And life will be all cupcakes and rainbows again." She told her friend who is a boy. "Up top!" Branch said, setting up a hi-five for Poppy. "Too slow." Branch said remembering the joke from earlier and had a sly look on his face as he just did it to Poppy. The Snack Pack laughed at the playfulness of the situation but Poppy was just amazed at the growth Branch was showing.

At the moment they had forgotten all of the others trolls that they would need to come back for at the moment mainly because they did not say a word which no one found odd. "Okay, everybody. Let's go save Creek." Poppy said, excitingly. "No! No! You can't leave. Lady Glittersparkles is gonna be the king's plus one at dinner." Bridget said blocking the door scared to think of having to come clean about who she really is to the king. "The dinner where they're serving Troll? Yeah, I think we're gonna have to skip that one." Branch said sarcastically trying to reason with her. "No! No, you have to help me be Lady Glittersparkles. I need you." Bridget begged. "You don't wanna pretend to be someone you're not forever!" Poppy said, knowing what lying can do in a relationship. What it had done to her and Branch. "Then how about just for tomorrow?" Trying to get them to agree. "Bridget, you don't need us anymore. You and the king can make each other happy!" Poppy said what she noticed at the arcade. "That's impossible! Only eating a Troll can make you happy. Everyone knows that! I wish I'd never gone on this stupid date!" Bridget said, running to her bed crying.

This broke Poppy's heart and Branch hated seeing Poppy like this. "Bridget." Poppy tried. "Just go! Get out of my room. Leave me alone. Please, listen." Bridget whispered. "Bridget!" They heard Chef shout from the kitchen. "We've gotta go." Branch gently pulled Poppy's arm telling her that they needed to follow the others out of the door if they were going to get Creek. "What's going on down there? Bridget, scrub that dish! The king's bringing a plus one." they heard Chef shout again throwing a dish down for Bridget to wash. "Yes, Chef." Replied through her tears. The trolls were heading up to King Gristle's room. Branch then turned to Poppy. "Look I know you had hoped to help her But sometimes things don't work out the way we hope." Poppy saw that he was trying to make her feel better but a pang in her heart felt like he was talking about them and Branch noticed this and grabbed her hand. "But sometimes." He said, trying to find her eyes. "They work out better than you could ever hope." He said, causing Poppy to smile knowing full well that this time he was definitely talking about them. Then they noticed the others had made their way to King Gristle's door and they soon joined them. So they all could sneak in together.

Inside of the king's chambers the trolls could see that Gristle was getting ready to work out so he could look his best for his second date with Bridget. "We can do this, Barnabus. I just have to lose 30 pounds in the next eight hours. There it is! I feel good, I feel good, I feel good, I feel good, I feel good." Gristle said to himself as he ran on his crummy treadmill. The trolls made it to the charm on the king's cloak. "Creek, we'll have you out of there in a second." Poppy said to the troll inside. "Hurry!" Branch said keeping an eye on the Bergan. "It's stuck!" Poppy said panicked not being about to open the charm. Branch then saw another problem they were about to face. The King's pet alligator. Barnabus. "Run!" He told the other trolls as he and Poppy detached the charm from the cloak and headed after their friends. "I feel love." They could hear the king's singing being off-tone as they were chased around the room.

"Hey, guys! Over here!" Guy Diamond motioned over at Bridget lost roller skate that the king had kept. "Everyone, get in! Let's go." Satin and Chenille said at the same time. "Branch, give him to me. Go!" Biggie said, because Branch was helping Poppy into the shoe with the charm. This would give him a chance to get in but Branch saw that the gator was catching up in them. "Just go!" Branch just shouted. "Everybody hold on!" Poppy said, praying that Branch could hold on. "Hold it steady, guys." Branch said, as he finally made his way into the roller skate. They were coming down a hallway and Poppy noticed a hanging light fixture and a corner and she then came up with a plan on the spot and gave orders like a real queen would take charge in direer situations. Branch was impressed by her, but she always found new ways to impress him. "Satin, Chenille, sharp right!" The twins did not hesitate. They did not ask why. They just knew what Poppy needed from them and they did it. "Let's do it!" They said in unison using their hair to slingshot them around the corner causing Barnabus to skid across the floor bying them some time. "Guy Diamond, glitter him!" Poppy shouted. "Eat glitter!" Guy Diamond said as he was held on one of the rolling wheels spraying glitter into the gater's face.

"Look!" Biggie screamed, hugging Mr. Dinkles tighter. "Hold on!" DJ Sui said. They were heading towards a ramp that would shoot them through the castle window and who knew how far up they were or what was on the other side. Unfortunately the impact of the crash casued the charm, Creek was in to fly out of their grasp. "Creek!" Poppy shouted before going after the item. She then called to Branch who knew what she was thinking "Branch!" In troll tradition the tanglement of two hairs was seen as something special. When they can do this action on instinct and not with words then it shows just how special the bond between the two trolls have. Branch and Poppy did this as they tangled their hairs together and he pulled her back to the shoe the Snack Pack grabbed Branch to make sure that Poppy didn't accidently take him with her out the other way. "We got you!" Suki said, forcing Branch to smile at his new friends. He then did one last big tug to bring Poppy back to them. The Snack Pack caught Creek and Branch caught Poppy bridal style. "Gotcha!" Branch said as he looked Poppy in the eyes, smiling, making her blush as she held onto him pulling him closer as she heard his rapidly beating heart.

They then crashed through another window and several floors and thankfully they soon stopped so they could finally free Creek, but when they opened the charm it was empty. "No! He can't be gone." Poppy said, heartbroken for their lost friend. "I'm sorry, Poppy. We're too late." Branch said, trying to comfort the pink princess. "Actually." A voice said, drawing their attention. "Your timing is perfect." The Chef said capturing them and bringing them to the cage that held all the other trolls. She figured out about Lady Glittersparkles when she had checked on the trolls again and noticed that they were still unguarded and when she saw the rainbow haired Bergan at the arcade she put two and two together. She's not stupid. And now the next part of her plan can come into place. She is getting closer and closer to achieving her goal of becoming QUEEN!

"Sorry, but I can't have you leaving before tomorrow's dinner. A dinner to which you are all invited. And when I say all. I mean every Troll in Troll Village." The Chef said to the catpured trolls in her possession. "You'll never find them. Not where they're hiding." Poppy shouted back at the horrible woman. "You're right. I couldn't find them. But I could with someone they know. Someone they trust. Someone. Like this guy." She said as she pulled a purple troll out of her fanny pack. "Creek! You're alive!" Poppy said happily at first then she started to question why he was with the Chef, but Branch landed on the conclusion before she did and he was not happy. "He's selling us out!" Branch shouted, shooting his hair at the traitor, choking him. "Branch! Wait! I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation. At least give him a chance." Poppy said, not wanting this to be true. "Thank you, Poppy." Creek said finally getting the air back into his lungs. Once he could breath he gave his explanation. "I'm selling you all out." Creek was then choked again, only this time by Poppy and Branch did nothing to stop it. He only had a smile on his face thinking. That's my girl! Proudly. "You better explain yourself, Creek!" Poppy spat at him. She was beyond angry she could have saved everyone already if it wasn't for him and her bleeding heart.

"As I was about to accept my fate. I had what I can only describe as. A spiritual awakening." Creek said all the other trolls looked at him. They had hoped that when he gave the location of the Putt Putt Trolls to the Chef it was for the good of the village but now. It seems that they never really knew the troll at all. He had just about everyone fooled. Even Branch to some degree. He never liked the troll but he never expected this. "I don't wanna die! Don't eat me. Eat someone else. Anyone else. Everyone else. But not me! You said I would be spared!" Creek cried at the Bergans. "But the king wants to be happy now. And you said there would be trolls at the mini golf course." The Chef said, figuring that if he betrayed one group of trolls to save himself once then he would probably do it agian. "Wait! Wait! There must be some other way. I'll do anything." Creek begged like a coward. Creek finished his tale and some things did not add up. "No! Creek, please don't do this." Poppy begged. "Wait, what did she mean by the troll at the mini golf course?" Branch asked suspisusly. "She means us." Viva said. Poppy recognized the woman who was staning next to her father. "Mom." Poppy said as she rushed to the woman who she had that was dead. Branch then realized what Creek had done. "So it wasn't enough that you kept the location of all of our lost loved ones from us, then you betrayed them, but if that wasn't enough you go and sell out our home!" Branch said, summing everything up. "Sounds about right. Also if we are being honest there's something else I should probably confess." Creek said unemotionally. "What?" Branch said annoyed and angry. "I was the reason the Snack Pack walked in on the two of you. Which led to your breakup. I hated the idea of the two of you being together when Poppy was supposed to end up with me. But now you can die together." Poppy could not believe what she was hearing. Her friend was the reason behind the whole breakup incident. Branch was ready to kill Creek himself. "She's not a trophy Creek! If you really cared for her you would have just let him swallow you!" Branch said harshly. Creek just shrugged his shoulders and placed his hand under Poppy's chin so she would be looking at him. "Believe me. I wish there was some other me-not-getting-eaten way."

"But there isn't." The Chef said, with her wicked grin. "And now I have to live with this for the rest of my life. At least you get to die with a clear conscience. So, in a way. You could say. I'm doing this for you. Boop!" Creek said, booping Poppy's nose which she flintched at his touch. "Don't touch her." Branch growled, as Creek just chuckled as he removed the cowbell from Poppy's hair. Chef took Creek and the two with all of the other guards went to collect all the other trolls. This left all the trolls to themselves. But when Branch went to comfort Poppy Viva gave him a disapproving gaze. "What do you think you are doing?" Branch was used to comments like this but Poppy would not stand for this. "Mom, this is Branch, my boyfriend. He's only trying to help." Poppy said, causing Peppy to smile. "I'm happy for you both." Peppy said, making Viva frown. "Branch. As in Ozzy's kid?" Peppy nodded. Viva did not care if this was her friend's child; he was a grey troll. Branch saw the disapproval in her eyes. Branch took a step back from Poppy who just went to him and held his arm. Showing him that she was going to stand by him no matter what. That she was not going to leave him which caused him to smile. Viva did not have a chance to voice her disapproval before Peppy took to the side to explain that Branch woud never hurt Poppy; to her in provate or as privately as they could. Then Branch heard voices he never thought he would hear again. "Branch?"
