That afternoon, I actually got a letter in the mail from Beth, which I decided to read it during dinner service, me reading it as I ate some salad and soda.

"Dear Hush,

I apologize for not mentioning Leah in the previous letters. I didn't want to scare you, since I know that Diablo was a game you were scared of, especially the situation of the Black Soulstone. Leah promised that she'd learn as much as she could while at the school in undercover mode, but I've heard from her that a lesser demon, a Deciever, is currently in charge of Kincaid. Keep a close eye on him and do not let him hurt anyone at that school in downtime. And be careful, because Leah has said there are Black Soulstone shards at that school in the basement. If you happen to get access to them, bring them to her so she can destroy them.

With even more concern, and even more love, Beth."

After reading that letter, I sighed and nodded before then hiding it in my backpack and then proceeded to finish my meal. Afterwards, I went to the dorms and wrote out the next letter to Beth, reading as such:

"Dear Beth,

I'm a big girl now, and I'm not afraid of the demons of Diablo. They probably don't have nearly as strong of strength in this world as they did in their own, as this world has no such things as demons, except for Grimmsnarl's line maybe? Regardless, I am aware that Kincaid is being controlled by a Deciever and that I need to get those soulstone shards before the school year is done. I plan on snagging them at the end of the school semester when I graduate with everyone else, and giving them to Leah in private. Once they're destroyed, who knows what may happen with Kincaid? All I know is that it may require some fast-thinking time travel.

I'll let you know more later on, love Hush."

It took at least 5 days later for the next part of the schoolyear's important task to happen, which was also when we'd learned that the Mantine had since fully recovered from the incident and was being released into the wild again, all of our group sighing in relief upon finding that out.

"Now, when it comes to rangers, some may think they work on their own, but that is not the case whatsoever," Ms April smiled as she continued after pointing to a drawing on the chalkboard about the three different main parts of Ranger work. "They cannot operate without an operator that will help them in a pinch, and if their stylers break, only a mechanic can fix it up good as new. As such, teamwork makes the Ranger work. Now, if you will recall, during Outdoor Class, Crawford got a call from his boss, Barlow, via Voicemail. Our school stylers are not outfitted with this feature..."

Leah then came in and presented two different sets of regular Stylers. "However, the Ranger Union has been kind enough to supply us with two sets of normal Capture Stylers. We'd like to ask if Pico and Willow would take one set while Rhythmi and Keith take the other," Leah said, before then looking at the empty seat. "Um... has anyone seen Keith?"

"Not a clue, Miss Leah. Maybe he slept in again?" Rhythmi asked, me looking around and trying to sense him. No dice, he wasn't anywhere within my sensory radius.

"Hmm... how about instead, we have Hush play the part of the Ranger? Just know it won't work with your telepathy if you speak through it, so you'll need to use your voice, Hush," Leah said, me nodding as I then grabbed the Styler and Rhythmi tried to test it... and only then realized the issue.

"Oh... hehe, I guess you can hear me in here, huh? How about you go to a different room so I can test it proper?" Rhytmi asked, me nodding as I then fast walked to the door, but then saw a dark green aura emerge from the door, him looking to be quite ticked.

"HEY! No running in the classrooms either!" Kincaid said, me frowning at him, not being afraid.

"I wasn't running. I was walking fast," I said with my mind, which Kincaid ignored and went to Ms April.

"Sorry for interrupting class, Ms April. But have you happened to see Keith anywhere lately?" he asked.

"No, I haven't, actually. It's not like him to miss class like this," Ms April said.

"Ah, I see. The other reason I came here is because our most recent supply of Stylers have suddenly gone missing! You wouldn't think that Keith was maybe thinking about skipping class for some 'extra credit' or something, do you?" Kincaid asked, which Rhythmi immediately lept from her seat and growled at him.

"HOLD ON ONE SECOND! Keith is many things, but a thief is not one of them!" she shouted at Kincaid.

"He's the prime suspect! He causes problems by running in the halls, I've caught him going into the basement where he's not allowed, and now he's skipping class. Who else could it be?" Kincaid asked as I then exited the room and, lo and behold, I saw a Styler on the ground.

"AHEM!" I shouted with my mouth, getting everyone to look at me. "There's a Styler on the ground, completely sealed in a box. I bet there's more where it came from, we just need to follow a trail. I'll investigate, Rhythmi, you let me know if there's anything going on in Keith's dorm," I said, her then gulping at that.

"I have to go to the boy's dorms?... Okay, fine, but only because I need to clear his name!" she complained in annoyance. I then went outside and used both eyes and mind to try and find the trail, me seeing that they proceeded towards the front gate, me giving a voicemail to Rhythmi.

"Voicemail, Rhythmi. I think I'm getting close. I've found three more Stylers and am on my way to the school gate... ah! I sense Keith and one other person, too," I said with my mouth, me then getting a message from her next.

"Okay, I'll be out with Ms April and Principal Lamont," Rhythmi said as I then went down the stairs and saw that Keith had cornered a young adult who had a box of Stylers on his person.

"Hey! There you are!" I shouted with my mind, the guy then looking at me in concern.

"H-Hey! Tag-teaming is unfair... I gotta be going now, bye!" he said before then turning around and slamming into the treee, dropping the box of Stylers all over the ground, followed by a Slakoth falling off the tree and landing on his face. "AH! HELP! I can't see! It stinks! I'm freaking out right now!" the guy shouted, me going to him and grabbing him with my arms, him trying to struggle before I spoke with my mind.

"Easy, man, easy! It's just a Slakoth! Just stand perfectly still and he'll get off of you!" I shout-thought, the guy then stopping in place as Keith collected the Styler supply and, afterwards, the Slakoth then slowly scuttled off the man and started to climb the tree at a Slugma's pace.

"Thanks, man... aaaaahhhnnn... back to sleep..." the Slakoth said to me before skuttling back to where he was on the tree, the guy then breathing in and out a bit more before then simply sitting on the ground, which is when the rest of our group, Pico and Willow included (Willow was an Operator in training) and they immediately asked questions, which Keith and I were happy to answer.

"See, I saw that there was a trail of Stylers on the ground by the principal's office, so I followed it and saw this guy here stealing the entire box. So I chased after him, getting him cornered by the gate, since it will only open for those with the school pass," Keith said.

"And I followed after, finding a trail of packaged Stylers until I got here. The guy tried to make a break for it but slammed into a tree. A Slakoth fell out of it as he dropped the box and I simply had him calm down so the Slakoth would leave him alone," I explained, which the group nodded at.

"May I get an explanation from the man of the hour himself?" Ms April asked, her looking upset as the guy then spoke.

"I... I just... I always wanted to be a ranger, b-but I know I'd never get accepted... S-So I only wanted to take one... but when I saw all of those Stylers there? I just felt like taking all of them... I don't know why I thought that... it was almost like I were possessed by greed when I did so... I feel so guilty right now..." he said, me then thinking on that. Possessed by greed? I then searched around the school with my mind from afar... and gawked at how I saw that, in the principal's office, was a soulstone shard. And in that shard was a greed goblin.

"I think I know what's going on, but I doubt anyone would believe me," I said with a frown, knowing that I'd be safe so long as Kincaid didn't know.

"What's going on, then?" Ms April asked.

"I was given a message from my sister, Beth, that there's a dangerous set of creatures that are kept within these small black stones called demons. And after sensing Lamont's office where the Stylers were kept, I saw that a greed goblin was inside of a shard that was inside of that very office. No doubt it used its influence to make you even more greedy than you were originally, sir," I thought, the group gawking at that.

"Black soulstone? Demons? What are those?" Rhythmi asked.

"They come from another universe, brought here by Team Rainbow Rocket. And these shards happen to have demons in them, that toy with your thoughts and, if you allow them to or if they overpower your will, they can possess you," I explained.

"How do you know about that, though?" Lamont asked me, which is when another person arrived from the stairs.

"Because I told her," said the voice of Leah, which the group looked at in shock. "Remember when I said I was a halfbreed of human and Pokemon?" she asked, the group nodding. "I wasn't telling the truth... I'm actually a halfbreed of witch and demon... and luckily, my father, Diablo, is not among the numerous parts of the Black Soulstone. But the four that are in charge are Belial: Lord of Lies, Azmodan, Lord of Sin: Duriel: Lord of Pain, and Malthael, the archangel of death, who nearly eradicated all of human life in my world of origin," she sighed.

"You... you're from a different world, too?" Ms April asked.

"Yes, I am... sorry for not saying anything, but I have sensed that there are a few Black Soulstone shards around the school... now I know there's one hidden in the principal's office, but I do not know where the other two could be at. I know they're in the school itself, so I beg that we keep this matter secret until I can find them from sensing them around the place. Who knows if they've managed to get into peoples' minds already or not?" Leah asked.

"Understood. We'll keep that part secret... as for you, sir, you seem to be the victim, but also, you were still hoping to try and take a Styler. You do know that this school can even have adults train at it as well, right? How about you go home and think on what you really want to do, and then you can choose when the next semester comes," Ms April said, him then gawking at that.

"Y-You're letting me go? You're not going to get me in trouble?" he asked, me smiling at that.

"Just stay clear of any black stones. They'll do things to your mind," Leah warned.

"Y-Yes, you bet! I-I'll never forget your kindness!" he said before we then simply let him go home, but only after he showed he had no more Stylers on his person, which he didn't. I then spoke to the group in our vicinity and told them something serious.

"Don't mention any of this to Mister Kincaid specifically. I could see his aura and it was similar to Leah's, meaning he's got a demon inside of him, but which one I'm uncertain of," I said, which made Leah gasp, as well as Ms April to look scared.

"H-He's not going to do anything bad, is he?" Ms April asked in concern before I then saw Leah sniff the air by Kincaid's classroom and then snorted.

"He's not going to do anything at this school, considering the demon he's apparently allowed himself to be partially possessed by. It's a Deciever, one of Belial's most trusted servants and one that loves deception, illusions, and lies. He's not going to do anything out in the open, as Belial does his work in the shadows. Just make sure he doesn't hear anything about this and lead me to the principal's office," Leah said, us nodding as I saw that Kincaid wasn't anywhere nearby... in fact, he was currently in the boy's dorms and he was there alongside Ponte and Isaac, trying to find dirt on Keith!

"Someone go to the boy's dorms and get Kincaid out of there, please? He's trying to find evidence against Keith and is having his students join him in ransacking as well. Get him in trouble for coercing students to do bad things," I said in thought to Lamont, him nodding as he then went up the stairs and did just that as Leah and our group went to the office and, immediately, I saw a brown aura that was over by the area that had another box of Stylers. And Leah went to it and pulled it out, a shard of the Black Soulstone.

"Keep this image in your mind. This is a black soulstone shard. These things are deadly, as each contains one or more demons within... only I am able to destroy them, as I was once tied to the Prime Evil when it contained me within it... like so," Leah said before then using some of her magic and proceeding to demolish the soulstone shard as well as all the demons that were within it, which also resulted in the demons shrieking in agony at being erased form existence. And among them were 5 Greed Goblins and 3 Mallet Lords, basically the lesser lords of the outer reaches of hell.

"Those... were scary noises..." Pico said with concern.

"Soul Lashers sound the worst, in my opinion. The shrieking I heard from them keeps me up all night if I hear them... hooohhoogh... I don't like to talk about it," Leah shuddered with a shiver before Kincaid then arrived in the office and he was joined by Isaac and Ponte, the duo of students being scared because of them having been caught in the act.

"I must say, I am very disappointed in you, Mister Kincaid," Lamont said with annoyance. "Coercing your own students to try and frame an innocent student for something he hadn't committed? It's quite unbecoming of a teacher to do such behaviors... Isaac and Ponte, you're being let off with a warning, as I know you were lied to and coerced into doing the wrong thing. As for you, Kincaid, your next three paychecks will not be sent to your account. If you do something like this again, I will see to it that you're fired and replaced. Understood?" Lamont asked, Kincaid frowning at that.

"Understood, Mister Lamont," he said with a frown, obviously upset at how he'd been caught in the act.

"It seems that there is darkness within the hearts of everyone. Some small, some quite large. It just takes the right amount of light in order to destroy those shadows... I remember a word that described it that was used in the ancient times of Sinnoh. They described such an action as 'vatonage', meaning to beat the darkness with light. That was back in the days where Sinnoh was called Hisui," Lamont said with a small smile.

"We should get back to class, but considering that Keith, Rhythmi, Pico, Willow, and Hush helped in finding out the cause of the thievery and solving the mystery, I think I'll allow them to have the rest of the day off from classes and they can do as they wish, so long as they don't leave the premises of the schoolgrounds," Ms April said, me then smirking and looking at the others and all of us agreeing with our smiles that it was a great reward.

"Whoohoo! No schoolwork for a day! I've been wanting to get some time to just fly in the wind," Pico smiled widely.

"And I can actually have some time lazing in the sunshine!" Rhythmi smiled... before we then heard a thunderclap from outside and then, afterwards, we looked outside and saw that it was currently a thunderstorm, not even a half hour after we'd finished the mystery. "Or... not... am I allowed to curse, just this once?" Rhythmi asked.

"You're a young adult, you can curse, so long as you're not in class," Ms April smiled.

"Okay... DAMMIT! I JUST WANTED TO REST IN THE FRICKING SUN FOR ONE DAY! CRAPFRICKING GODDAMN BISCUITS! UGH!" Rhythmi shouted in annoyance before then finally calming down.

"Wow. I can tell you've been holding that in for awhile," I smiled at her.

"I'll explain why after we get out of here... how about we go ahead and spend time in the library? We can play truth or dare as a whole group after?" Rhythmi asked, me smiling at that.

"Good luck trying to lie to me. I can read minds," I smirked at her.

"Oh yeah, Celebi are Psychic type as well as grass type, huh?" Rhythmi smirked.

"Yes, yes they are," I smirked.

"Do you know how many Celebi are out there in the wild? They are a mythical Pokemon, after all," Keith asked as we then left the office and proceeded towards the library.

"From what my Celebi side has said, there are only 19 Celebi total on the entire planet. But most of them are able to escape from trouble thanks to their time travel strengths. For instance, I can rewind time for about a minute at a time for every 5 minutes, but I haven't done so at this school yet, since I haven't felt the need to... who knows about the future, however," I smiled in thought.

"That'd be fun to use if you happened to be losing a game or something. Just rewind time each time you almost lose, and you can do even better the next time. It's like cheating at a video game, but in real life," Willow smiled, me then making sure to commemorate her appearance. She was actually black-skinned and her hair was long, curly, and very frizzy. Not long enough to be considered dreadlocks, but still a natural hairstyle. She also had a very fair complexion, was about 15 rather han 13, and was currently dressed in the school uniform... but whenever I looked at her aura, I saw that she had a slightly pinker hue than the rest of the students. So I had to ask one question when we went to truth or dare.

"Anyways, the reason I shouted like that is because Kincaid made me really angry. He actually tried to frame Keith the moment that he saw that he was missing class and then, when I went to the men's dorms, he tried to forbid me from going in there, saying that he needed to find evidence. I did something he might rat me out for and stepped on his foot and then, locked myself in the dorm and saw that Keith had nothing in there that proved he was doing anything bad. Then, I got the voicemail from Hush, and immediately left the dorms... Kincaid tried to yell at me, but I rushed down the stairs before he could shout at me. he already had Ponte and Isaac with him at that time, and I knew he was going to go to the dorms and try to find evidence," Rhythmi frowned in anger.

"Damn, he must hate me a lot if he thinks I'm the prime suspect, to the point he hired Isaac and Ponte to join him," Keith said with a frown.

"That wasn't the reason why he wanted to get you in trouble," said the voice of Isaac, me being surprised he joined us in the library. "He thinks that you stole something important to... a secret project. He wants it back, and he claimed you stole it, since he saw that you were in the basement last night... I saw you were actually sleepwalking, but I still didn't see you steal anything. Mister Kincaid thinks differently, however," Isaac frowned.

"We can say this much to you, Isaac," I said, deciding to lie. "The thief that stole the stylers? He had one of those gems on his person, which ended up getting destroyed when he slammed into the tree in a desperate attempt to escape us. He claimed that it felt like he were filled with greed upon touching that gemstone. He planned to only take one, but when he grabbed hold of the gem without protection, his attitude changed completely," I said, Isaac frowning at that.

"I see that you aren't lying, but you're not telling the full truth," he said, me being surprised at that. "Yes, I can see your lies and truths. I can read minds... I'm sure you can assume as to why," he said, me frowning at that.

"Just know that it involves the gems being from a different world of origin, and they were originally summoned to this one by a Team Rainbow Rocket portal, according to Miss Leah. If they're handled and end up touching your skin, they can result in bringing out one of your emotions to the forefront in all of its worst aspects. It all depends on which stone it is and what is in it... because there are creatures in those stones that aren't nice, not one bit. It all depends on how you can use that kind of dangerous stone for good, not for bad, because they could very easily be used for the latter option if used by the wrong man," I said, him nodding at that.

"I understand your concerns, and I will keep it secret from Kincaid if you wish, what you've told me, that is... all I can tell you is that, if all goes as planned, we can get rid of a long-existing energy problem throughout Almia using those stones. And it requires me to keep focused on my tasks and for no one to get on Kincaid's bad side. It will be for good, I promise, so please don't snoop in the basement? Kincaid and I get very easily distracted," Isaac said, me nodding at that.

"Just be careful with those stones, Isaac. With great power comes great responsibility," I said with my mouth.

"I'll keep that in mind," he said, me nodding as he then simply went to the books and proceeded to grab one about advanced sciences and converting matter into energy.

"Should we... should we tell him?" Willow asked in concern, keeping her voice low.

"No, don't. He seems dedicated to this project... he just needs to try his hardest to make it into a positive, not a negative," I said with a sigh.

"Wow... you're quite wise for being so young," Pico smiled at me.

"Yet you happen to be a little girl, as well," Keith smiled at her.

"Actually, I have a secret of my own. I was also from a different world, one where I was a spirit for over 3 thousand years, tied to a woman who happened to be eternally young because of a dragoness's powers. But when the incident happened, I was warped to this world and my connection with my lovely Dolly was severed... but thankfully, this world is more kind to spirits and ghosts, meaning I got to stay on the half-mortal coil as I should be," Pico smirked.

"You're over 3 thousand?! You're an old bat!" Keith gawked, me then whacking him across the head. "OW! What was that for?" he asked in annoyance.

"Nevah. Evah. Call a girl an old bat. That's rule number ONE! That's your first lesson, learn it," I said, him groaning at that.

"Okay, fine, sorry... let's just start the truth or dare or whatever," he said, me nodding at him.
