Crawling out from the pod, Izuku couldn't help but notice that EVERYTHING WAS ON FIRE! Adrenaline kicking in, he scrambled. Astra was out of commission, but he was still here! He ran down the halls as the announcer lady spoke the warning he already knew: "Danger, thermal core meltdown detected. Cooling protocol initiated." Cooling protocol... Oh no, Flooding! If I'm caught in that, I'll never survive! His vision faded in and out as he doubled his efforts. The pushrod pistons were going at full power, accelerating him down the halls. "All personnel must evacuate using emergency corridors." That'll be my exit ticket! He rocketed towards the nearest one, flashing warning lights lighting his path as sparks cascaded from the LEAF suit. The catwalk gave away in front of him, and water was already at their height. Fortunately, a deadeye lay ahead of him. Conserving his momentum, the Viper Coil launched him in a higher arc, over the dangerous flood. Landing on an incline, he hustled to get over it before the water caught up. His heart went overtime as he rounded the corner, him brushing his hand along the floor to remain upright. Red lights were his only illumination now. As he continued, a wendigo roared in the distance, and the announcer spoke back up: "Thermal core has exceeded containable limits." He bolted up some stairs as she continued: "Emergency flooding volume escalating to contain meltdown." The heat was unbearable as he continued upwards. "Please exit the premises immediately." I'm trying! A wendigo was around the corner, but Izuku ducked as it attacked, remaining on the move as he rounded the corner. A few bits of platform had fallen into the now high water levels. Leaping over, he avoided the wendigo's projectiles as he continued. This place is flooding fast! However, the doorway closed tight on him, and so he was forced to continue right, using the makeshift ramp to get to another platform. Turning left, he followed the corridor, past an Amrita swarm, and into an expansive room that contained more bombs, now submerged, with their corresponding blueprints ruined. Good. They'll never make those again. Running, he saw the far wall lined with magnetic plates. He jumped, expecting the shift in gravity as he landed. He stumbled a few steps before continuing to run, jumping onto the platform on the other side. Turning left, he followed the path until he entered a room. Based on the glass to the outside, this room would soon be underwater if he didn't power the amrita generator now. As he waited for the door to slowly rise up, he realized where he was. Is... is this Fisher's office? Fisher's voice greeted him for the last time as his next audio recording started: "There's no escape... everyone, they're... they're all getting killed by these things, these creatures." Izuku could hear the sounds of gunfire and death in the background of the recording. The man was desperate as he continued: "If anyone hears this, please understand... Please understand what we were doing here..." As he said that, a tank of gas floated into the window, cracking it and leaking water into the room. Shit, hurry up mechanics! "...the things we created! The world must see our achievements! Our work will change the course of human history!" The door finally opened wide enough for access. "Whoever holds this technology holds the world in their hands!" Bolting to the end of the hall, the tape ended just as quickly, "Remember what I accomplished!" Then it was cut off by a yell. So Fisher died because of his own arrogance... I will remember that. And so will the world. Izuku reached an abandoned elevator shaft, lined with magnetic panels. He jumped and started to run up when he felt heat on his back. Glancing behind him, the greenette panicked when he saw flames chase him up the shaft. Leaping out of the way, he was met with another wendigo, trying to stop his escape. No, I will not die here! He narrowly avoided the lunge and continued running, though the only way forward: vault doors leading to a runoff pipe. Sparks were snuffed out by the runoff water as he ran, forcing his body to continue on. Even with the rejuvenating effects of Amrita, his body could not sustain this kind of escape for much longer. It was then that the pipe gave way before him, but he could see daylight. It's so close! Tensing his legs, he leapt, and then used an Icarus boost to assure that he would make it. Continuing on, it then arced up slightly, launching him up and out of the facility. Looking back, the facility that was named Astra exploded. Just in time... It was then that he realized he was going to land in the water... Fortunately, there was a piece of driftwood that was able to take their combined weights... both Izuku and the LEAF suit. Exhausted, he could only look around as he felt sleep claim him. He looked over at a statue of a colossi before his eyes closed. However, in the back of his mind, he could hear a helicopter arrive... and a woman gently say, as he was lifted from the water: "Have no fear, for I am here...
