Inko's voice sang to him as he arrived back at his new home, "So, how was your first day?" With Izuku now working at UA, they took the time to move everything from their previous apartment to here. Cathleen's generosity was still inspiring to the young greenette, and Inko couldn't thank her enough. "Class A was actually pretty good to work with, despite Bakugo being there. He listened once I told him I had the power to expel him, and he still wants to become a hero. I also observed a heroics course at Allmight's insistence..." Cathleen frowned, "Is he bugging you?" "Actually no, we're on good terms right now. He apologized again, and I formally accepted it. He just wants to help people become heroes, but he's not perfect. He even asked why I didn't want to be a hero with the suit, and I explained why. He didn't pressure me or anything." Cathleen was relieved. It was honestly good news that he atoned and apologized for a clear error. "That's good to hear. That means he's on my good list again." Izuku nodded, his voice turning somber, "Class B on the other hand... was much harder to work with. Many didn't care what I had to say, and three in particular were very outspoken against my instruction. I expelled the most vocal and explained why I did so." Inko was afraid to hear, but wanted the name regardless. Just in case she met him on the street. "Who was it?" The "A blond idiot named Neito Monoma. His quirk was reliant on others anyway, so he'll be functionally quirkless regardless. I plan to speak with their homeroom teacher tomorrow about it." Cathleen was less than impressed. It was clear who the 'B' team was. "Right." He sighed, and waved them away from carrying his stuff. "You guys should stop. I'll organize my stuff later." "Alright." After dinner, Izuku spent his time writing his manuscript. The introductory chapter was now done, as well as a title: How the Pendulum Swings: A History of Site: 634. The next day, Izuku was summoned to Nezu's office. "Well done with your first day. While regrettable that Class B lost a student, but... it was soon apparent why you did so." The greenette was annoyed by the lack of morals in that particular hero class. "This wouldn't need to be necessary if you had a personality test of some kind, you know." Nezu hummed agreement, but also played devil's advocate. "Hm... but we can't afford to let powerful people go to villainy." Izuku dismissed that opinion. It sounded political, and politics often created more wars then it stopped. Especially in the early 21st century. "Typical..." Nezu changed the subject of conversation, to something more practical. "Speaking of heroics... I assume you heard of the incident last week?" He nodded, "Hm? Oh yes, Aizawa told me yesterday at lunch." The chimera was relieved. "Good, I don't have to explain it to you. Due to that incident, we'll need more support for the off campus training regimen. I'd like you to go with Class A to the USJ." He was uncomfortable, "I don't have a license..." But, the white furred mammal interrupted him, "You aren't using a quirk, and are of UA staff. Nothing will happen then, we're just trying to cover our bases." There was a multitude of arguments Izuku wanted to make... but he understood that he was undeterred. It was better to go with the flow in this case. "Very well. I'll probably not be very useful, but I'll try, regardless." "Thank you." The week after that was calm and quiet. It was normal, for the most part. The days went by, students became more and more involved in the conflict. They sympathized with the Brits as they sheltered inside air raid shelters and sent their children to the countryside, they waited with bated breath as the retelling of D-Day commenced, they cheered the change of sides for both the Italians and Russians, as Hitler betrayed Stalin. It was all coming to a head when the bell rang for the last period on Friday. "Alright everyone, no homework today. Don't forget that you have the USJ coming up. All permission forms need to be brought in by first thing Monday. Looking at you three, Kaminari, Ashido, Ravenholm." The two class clowns had mock outrage for a moment, "Hey!" before they laughed, everyone joining in when they realized it was in good spirits. Everyone, for the most part, liked Izuku as a teacher. Bakugo still hated it, but he was forced to swallow his pride, as word got around that Izuku had expelled Monoma. If he could with someone like him, then Bakugo was also fair game. Qrow walked up to him, "Here, teach." It was his form. He'd had it in his bag, and it was a little crumpled, but fully signed and ready. He accepted the permission slip, and sent him on his way. "Thank you. I'll get it to Aizawa. Go have a fun weekend." "Thanks." He waved casually as he pulled out his flask. Turns out, he loved a good whiskey to celebrate the weekend. He wasn't allowed to let any of his peers have it, of course, but since it kept his quirk at bay when consumed... It was basically a part of his life. Thank god he's not an alcoholic. After that class, Izuku stood in the meeting room as Vlad King entered. He was annoyed with the boy, not just for expelling one of his students, but also exposing major attitude problems that... he may have been willing to ignore. If it meant beating Eraser's class... "Vlad King. I know you're no fan of mine, but I must stress the importance of character when it comes to heroes." "I know... but did you have to go with expulsion?" The greenette sighed. "Did Itsuka Kendo ever tell you what he said?" "No." The man admitted. "The Quirkless can't compare to us." Izuku stated. "That's what he said. Word for word. Echoes of Stalin, of Hitler, and he chooses to tell me that to my face. Do you see why I had to be extreme there? If I tolerated that, then they would have no respect for me. And none for you, by association." "That... wow..." "You have two other students who espouse similar views." He cotinued, "You saw my report. Don't let them hold those for too long. Right now, they're forming their opinions, and if you let them, they will become the next Endeavour. And nobody really wants that." The greenette looked up to the camera in the corner of the room. "I shudder to think what would happen if we allowed heroes to be corrupted like that. While I haven't been, Auschwitz still lingers in my mind as the stark reminder of humanity's potential for inhumanity to their fellow man." The boy stopped, remarking, "Jeez, this job is making me very long winded. Or maybe I'm just louder with my mutterings. Either way, I'm sure you know what you need to do." The vampire hero nodded, "I do. I'll make sure it's not a problem. Will class A..." "Not yet. But there are two in that class that need to be monitored. I'm sure you know them. Just like yours. As they haven't done anything to get my attention yet, I can't act. But that's something I have to discuss with Aizawa." Checking his phone, Izuku remarked, "I have to get going, but I'll send my reccomendations and quirk notes for your class. That way you know how best to improve them." Vlad nodded. He'd seen the notes for Aizawa's class, and knew they were top tier. "See you next week, then." "See you next week, Vlad." On Monday, everyone in Class A was practically vibrating with anticipation for the USJ. When they approached the bus pickup, Ashido and Kaminari both had them ready. Aizawa accepted them and placed them in a backpack, which would stay on the bus. "Alright, everyone on the bus." Iida, ever the questioner, asked him: "Sir, what about Midoriya-sensei? He can't possibly fit on the bus while in that suit." "Don't worry about him, he'll rejoin us at the facility." He turned to him, "Are you going to follow, or are you going to go a separate route?" "I think they'll get a kick out of it if I follow." Aizawa grunted, then told the bus driver to close the door. They did, and Izuku waved to the students as it pulled out of the driveway. He waited for them to round the corner and get some distance. After a few minutes, the greenette stretched, then broke into a brisque jog, then started bolting. UA's gate shut quickly behind him as he turned, and followed the route the buses would take. Winding along, he eventually saw the bus... Mina was whistling a new tune she'd found courtesy of Jirou. They were going to do something heroic! Who wouldn't be excited for this? It was then, however, that she heard heavy, distinct footsteps. Turning to the window, she was shocked to see Midoriya running alongside the bus, going at 50 miles an hour. Quickly she tapped her friend on the shoulder, "Toru... Look outside!" Her invisible friend turned, and saw their teacher. Being the excitable girl she was, her voice traveled throughout the bus: "MIDORIYA?!" Everyone looked at her, seeing that the two were looking at the window, turned their attention to it... and saw what they were seeing. Everyone was impressed that the suit was capable of keeping up with the bus. Iida himself couldn't do this for long periods of time, and thought aloud: "That... is incredible... is that the power of his suit, fueling him to be like this, or his own determination?" Qrow smirked, "Easy there, tinman. It's both." It was at that time that he boosted ahead, and they then saw the place they were headed: The USJ. They'd arrived.
