The USJ was just as impressive as it looked from the outside. Izuku whistled as he entered with Aizawa. "Quite the view. Not as good as Susurrus valley, but still." The ravenette teacher gave a glance to him, then met up with the hero Thirteen. Izuku followed, annoyed that Allmight had the gall to not show up when he was supposed to be teaching. It was his one job, and he didn't have infinite time. She asked the same question Izuku did, but he gave more information, presumably because she wasn't always in the loop. It was then that she turned to the class. "Welcome to the USJ facility. Here we will be going through a variety of scenarios, testing you and your quirks. I am..." Uraraka couldn't contain her excitement, "The rescue hero Thirteen!" When all eyes turned to look at her, she became only slightly embarrassed, "Sorry, she's my favorite hero." She laughed, "It's always good to meet a fan. You know my quirk, of course?" "Yes, it's black hole! You use it to suck up debris and save people!" If the hero nodded in agreement, it was hidden behing the hero suit's domed visor. "I do. However, my quirk is also incredibly dangerous. I needed to train it a lot to be able to use my quirk to save others. It's very easy for an explosion, ice, fire, and other amazing quirk effects to kill. This will be your first major lesson in how to use them to help instead of harm." It was then that Kirishima asked a question that caught everyone's attention: "Is that why you have fake villains?" Izuku, Thirteen, and Aizawa immediately turned in the direction the redhead was pointing. "There are no 'fake' villains. They're real." A collective gasp came from the students, shocked and surprised at their boldness. However, they weren't in danger yet. While they weren't, Izuku's mind went into overdrive, noticing three in particular. One of dark purple mist, clearly responsible for the portal, then one with blue hair, clearly the leader, and a large muscular... thing... with an exposed brain. It was far stronger than Izuku could ever be. Izuku was nervous, he wasn't technically a hero, he was expected to defend the students. It was a part of his contract, which, fortunately, outlined self defence as a viable strategy. That, and Izuku couldn't be charged with vigilantism as it was written in the law due to his... lack of a quirk. Putting that thought aside, the greenette tensed himself as he, along with Aizawa, ran to the top of the stairs. The older man glanced over to him, "Can you fight?" Izuku nodded, not taking his eyes off the foes in front of him. "I've killed over 20 wendigos, and an Alpha included. I can fight." His eyes widened, not knowing what those were, but still understanding that he could do his job. "Good." Izuku stated, "If you're going to leap ahead, I'm not letting you go alone." Touched by concern, the homeroom teacher still remained impassive. "No. It's better for you to defend the students. I'm not a one trick hero." "If you get overwhelmed, I am helping." The ravenette didn't respond as he leapt down the stairs. The class watched with amazement as he took on the villains, one by one, he took them down. He was correct about his own skill, but the leader of the group wouldn't just let him do it. He said something to his wispy companion, and a new, larger villain entered the field. His command was loud enough for everyone to hear. "Nomu, kill him!" It was fast. If Izuku wasn't wearing the suit, it's unlikely he'd be able to see it move. It punched Aizawa into the ground, and pinned him. Gritting his teeth, the boy called to another, who he knew had jam busters as a part of his support gear. Perks of an electricity quirk. "Kaminari, status!" "I can't get through this interference!" Izuku cursed, but remembered the ancient story of Marathon. "Damn, so there can only be a messenger..." He turned to Iida, "Iida, Get out and get help." "But sir..." Izuku shut down his attempt to refuse. "No, it's either you or me. I can't afford to leave, so it has to be you." "I can't abandon..." The blue haired boy was startled as Izuku nearly shouted at him, desperation clear in hsi voice. "It's not abandonment, it's an order! GO NOW!" Iida, not being able to complain, nodded, and made his way to the door. However, the mist villain stopped him before he could get any further. His voice was deep, and with fake apologies slipping off the tongue. "I apologize, but I can't let you do that." Izuku feigned politeness back. "Thank you for the apology. You're polite for a villain." The... mist narrowed his eyes. "Why thank you." Thirteen interrupted before Izuku could try to gain any information, "I can't let you harm our students!" "Wait, no!" He quickly, stopped her, before she could activate her quirk. "This one can make portals. Your quirk is a liability." Shock lined her voice as she realized what applications that meant to the fight. "Right..." She agreed once she thought about it. "Let me see if I can pacify him..." He raised the god-hand. "If you don't let my student go, then I will use force." "As if you can do anything to me, hero..." "Don't say I didn't warn you." He ripped out an amrita orb from the villain... ...but they didn't die. However, it did start to mess up the villain from the inside out. With a cry of pain, it warped. Not just itself, but those around it. And not as cleanly as it did before. It seemed to be conflicted, as if multiple people were trying to take control of him at once. Half the class were scattered around the facility, and Izuku could see a few falling into the lake zone. Fortunately, Iida was still there. Thirteen couldn't believe it. "What did you do to that villain?" He whistled, watching as the villain left back to the silver haired one. "Honestly... I'm surprised it didn't kill him." He couldn't see her face, but it's likely her eyes widened underneath her astronaut helm. "WHAT?!" His mind was working overtime. "Iida, get going!" Hearing the student run at full speed, he thought aloud, "I think I see why... but more testing is required." To Thirteen, he said, running to the stairs, "Keep defending the students, I'm helping Aizawa." Kurogiri was in chaos. Whatever that hero student did, it took a key part of him. The voices of the corpses he was composed of were awakened... and in their confusion, fighting each other. It was taking everything for the main personality, that of Kurogiri, to keep control. "Young Master... one of them did something to me... I can't... be of assistance for much longer..." "What?!" He was panicking. With good reason, as without Kurogiri, he was stuck in enemy territory. "Which one? I'll force them to fix you..." The misty nomu looked up the stairs, and saw him. "That one, in the exosuit..." "I see... Nomu! Bring that one to me!" Izuku was running down the stairs, the LEAF suit's metal feet cracking and compressing the stairs as he prioritized speed over restraint. As he did so, he heard the leader order the nomu to attack him. Looking up, he leapt, avoiding the creature, and kicking its head. "Order that villain to stand down!" "NO! WHAT DID YOU DO TO KUROGIRI?!" "So that's his name..." It was then that he had to keep moving, as the Nomu bolted to him. Fortunately for Izuku, the LEAF suit was much faster. Another villain, recovering from Aizawa's assault, got to his feet. I need to know if that's the effect of quirks, or if Kurogiri isn't human. Sorry, random villain! He aimed the god-hand and stole the life from the villain. It only took one for him to fall to the ground, dead. So, the mist man isn't normal. Thank goodness. Turning around, he kicked the Nomu's head as it lunged at him. He stole it, and noticed it didn't fall down. "Is this thing human?!" Shigaraki laughed at his apparant despair. "Hahaha! Nomu is made to kill Allmight, with multiple quirks!" Made... Multiple quirks... or multiple people in one? I'm thinking the latter, with how much energy its got... but it's weak to the god-hand, so this shouldn't be a problem... Steeling himself, he sucked out more energy. 4 orbs were stolen from the monster before it fell to its knees, with it shrieking in pain. Izuku finally stopped. Murmuring to himself, he voiced his thoughts privately, "So... multiple quirks means that there are multiple energy sources... perhaps amrita influenced the genes of life at their core. How else could it explain why this... Nomu has multiple?" Kicking it, he noticed that it seemed to have one quirk left. Regeneration. "NOMU, DO SOMETHING! ATTACK HIM!" "Well, I can't have it do that..." He then stole the last bit of amrita from it, killing it in the process. Turning to the lead villain. "Surrender, before I use force." "No... I refuse to accept that you... you NPC... won... you had to cheat." "If that's what you think." Izuku didn't want to use the gauntlet against him, but he prioritized everyone's safety to capturing him. Even if he did capture him, he wasn't a hero or even a cop. The guy could sue to excessive force if he wanted to... but it was clear the man was tensing up to attack. If he did, he'd have his justification... it just needed a little more time... Which was when Allmight busted through the door. "I AM HERE!" It was then, with no trump card, with no army, that he had no choice but to retreat. "Crap, Kurogiri! Get us out of here!" "Ye-s Youn-g Ma-ster.." His voice was distorting, destabilizing. He warped them away. Izuku lowered his glove, and walked to Aizawa. He had a few broken bones, but nothing life threatening. To Allmight, he shouted, "Thanks for being late. Here, help the other students. Half of them got teleported out into the rest of the USJ." "Ah, RIGHT! THANK YOU FOR PROTECTING THE STUDENTS, BUT I WILL TAKE CARE OF THE REST!" He tensed his legs, and shot out towards the lake zone. Sitting down on the stairs, he laughed with Aizawa stirring, his voice was slurred as he asked, "What's so funny, problem child?" "I actually did something heroic for once. I never thought I ever would." Even after saving the world, it still shocks me how The man tried to grin, but the blood he was covered in made it look deranged. "Thinking of still wanting to be one?" "Nah. I'll stick to what I want to do. That was too much for me." He leaned back. "Whew... I learnt a lot about the nature of my suit..." Falling from an unstable portal, Shigaraki called out to the dark, "Master! Master! Something happened to Kurogiri! I don't know what bug he's affected by, or how to fix it!" Calm as always, his master told him: "Do not worry, Tomura. Just tell me what happened." "There was this npc... no... miniboss brat in a sort of exo-suit. They did something to him, and I didn't see what happened. It's like he's got a glitching code." "Hm... let me see..." The man in shadows held a hand to the misty villain's neck. "One of his quirks is gone. It was the one keeping the main personality, Kurogiri, the one I made, from losing control. Something that can steal quirks besides me... how intriguing... and how worrying. Get rest, Tomura, I will fix him." Still shaken, "Thank you, master." He left, scratching his neck. "It's good to see that you do care about the nomu I left for you, Tomura. Now, let's see which one is good enough..." Who is this new factor? None of my sources have said anything about a quirk stealer amongst the staff or the students. This is most troubling indeed, considering my spy was expelled recently...
