Crossover: Naruto x Fairy Tail
Summary: Everyone's past catches up to them at some point. Just as Naruto decided to leave the shadows, someone from his past appeared. He doesn't know how that was possible, but he knew one thing: he would protect his new comrades at all costs. Even when he would die in the process.

Everything had calmed down a bit in Fairy Tail. After the messy entry into the guild, Lucy had finally gotten her stamp. She wanted to go to the person who brought her to Fairy Tail but couldn't find him.
"Are you looking for someone Lucy?" asked Mirajane. Mirajane was a slim young woman of below average height. She had long, white hair which curls slightly at the ends, with two bangs framing her face and reaching down to her chest; her hairstyle's most distinctive trait was a short, upward ponytail obtained by gathering and tying the hair covering her forehead. Due to her always adopting such fashion, her hair seemed to have adapted to it, with the hair on her forehead remaining pointed upwards even when not tied. She had large blue eyes and a curvy, voluptuous body, with large breasts. Her white Fairy Tail Stamp was located on her left thigh. Mirajane was widely known for her beauty, being Fairy Tail's drawing card and having posed many times for the Sorcerer Magazine. Mirajane's most commonly seen attire was a sleeveless, ankle-length maroon dress with a pleated skirt. The chest was adorned by a large, pink bow, and similarly colored trimmings frame the rather ample neckline, acting as straps, and circle around the waist. Mirajane also wore high-heeled shoes that matched her dress and accessories with a small chain necklace with a blue oval gem attached to it, and a bracelet made of white flowers circling her right wrist.
Lucy had brown eyes and shoulder-length blonde hair that was usually tied by ribbons in a variety of colors in a small ponytail to the right side of her head with the rest of the hair loose. She is buxom and has a curvaceous body with large breasts. Her pink Fairy Tail stamp was located at the back of her right hand. Additionally, Lucy didn't consistently wear the same outfit. However, she always had a belt that, along with keeping her skirt up, held her Celestial Spirit keys and a whip with a heart-shaped end. She often wore black, leather high-heeled boots. She also bears a striking resemblance to her mother. At the moment, she wore a white skirt with 2 blue lines on it and a blue skirt besides her black high heeled boots.
"Yes." said Lucy. She looked around the guild hall and just couldn't find the person. She didn't understand. When she came into the guild hall with him, he was still at the bar right next to her.
When 2 members started a fight, she lost sight of him. After that she was also concentrating on master's speech and had not paid attention to him. Now she just wanted to show him that she got her guild stamp.
Lucy looked at Mirajane "Have you seen Naruto?" asked Lucy.
"Naruto must be on the first floor." said Mirajane. She looked up and thought of the S-rank mage, who hardly interacted with the other guild members. He always took an S rank assignment and just left without saying goodbye. Sometimes he was gone for months before he showed up again.
She was one of the few people who had exchanged more than 5 sentences with Naruto. Everyone knew what he looked like, and everyone knew his magic, but no one knew exactly how powerful he was. Was he stronger than Laxus or as strong as Erza? Nobody knew.
Even Natsu had never managed to get him to fight before. Before Natsu could even get on his nerves, Naruto would just always disappear to the first floor or completely out of the guild hall.
"Okay thanks Mirajane!" said Lucy with a smile. She wanted to go to the stairs, but she was stopped directly by Mirajane.
"Wait Lucy." said Mirajane.
Lucy stopped and looked at Mirajane. "Unfortunately, you're not allowed up there. Only S-rank magicians are allowed up there." said Mirajane.
Lucy's eyes widened "Naruto is an S-rank mage?" she asked, slightly shocked. She had hardly spoken to him. Whether it was in Hargeon, where he saved her from the Charm spell and then from Bora, or on the way to Fairy Tail.
All she knew was that Naruto used wind magic and other than that she knew next to nothing about him. He always only briefly commented on her questions or sometimes simply ignored them if he didn't want to answer.
"Yes." said Mirajane and stood behind the bar again. Lucy sat down on a bar stool and sighed. "Great, and I wanted to show him my guild stamp." said Lucy looking down at her left hand.
"Don't blame him. He always comes down to get something to drink. Then you can show him." said Mirajane with a smile.
Naruto was lying on a couch on the second floor. He had his hands clasped behind his head and his eyes closed. Normally you would see blue eyes like the ocean. In addition to his blue eyes, he has 6 whisker marks on his cheeks which he has had since birth and spiky blonde hair with a few strands covering his forehead slightly. He seemed to be asleep. He was wearing a dark blue top with two bands on both of his sleeves and dark blue pants. He also wore sandals of the same color and a short-sleeved long white haori over his normal attire, closed in the front by a thin, orange rope. The haori was decorated by red flame-like motifs on the edges. Naruto's guild stamp was in gold on his chest, but the guild stamp couldn't be seen because of his clothes. (A/N Look at the cover Image for Naruto's look. He pretty much wears the outfit from his father without the green west.)
His brow furrowed briefly as he woke up. His guild members are fighting again and nobody did anything about it. His Master was right in front of him on a table, just standing there.
Naruto opened one eye and turned his head to the side. He looked at his Master "Master?" Naruto asked a bit grumpy. He would rather stay asleep. Today he had already experienced enough with the events in Hargeon.
"I see you met someone new today." said Makarov Dreyar. Makarov was an extremely short, elderly man. He had black eyes and was growing soon with only the outer rims of his head containing white hair. He also had a thick white mustache. He had a black stamp of the Fairy Tail guild mark that covered his entire chest area. He was dressed in a casual manner, with an attire consisting of a white shirt with a black Fairy Tail stamp in the middle under an orange hoodie. His attire was completed with matching orange shorts and an orange and blue striped jester hat.
"Don't remind me." Naruto said, frowning. It was clear that something like this would happen to him again. Natsu was in Hargeon just yesterday to investigate some rumors. Why couldn't Natsu meet Lucy? Then he would have been spared all the stress and he wouldn't had so much contact with anyone.
"Nevertheless, I think it's nice that you stopped Bora, my boy. I'm glad that you're slowly opening up to the people of this world." said Makarov.
Naruto opened his other eye and sat up. He sighed "Master, please don't do that. I still don't know why you let me into your guild in the first place. I am everything you hate and despise and yet you saved me then. Why?" asked Naruto.
Makarov saw the fight Naruto had been putting on with himself for years. Ever since he had found him in a huge crater, Naruto had been like that. He seemed way too grown up for a little boy. Back then Naruto was 6 years old where Makarov found him.
Naruto was now 18 years old. He had become one of the strongest magicians in Fairy Tail over the 12 years. He became an S-rank magician at the age of sixteen and thus managed to become an S-rank magician at the same age as Laxus.
"I've given you the answer enough times my boy. You told me your story and I didn't see what you described to me. I saw a boy then who needed help and I would never have been able to forgive myself if I hadn't helped you." said Makarov.
Naruto sighed again. He knew it. He heard the answer often enough. Despite this, he couldn't understand how his master accepted him into this wonderful guild back then. He's a murderer, a traitor, and more. He did so many bad things in his old home before he was pushed through this portal and woke up here as a 6-year-old boy.
"How about you take care of the new member, my boy? You're the connection she has to Fairy Tail right now. She was just looking for you." said Makarov.
Naruto looked at Makarov "You have proven to me more than once in the last 12 years that you belong in this guild and are not the person you were in your old life." said Makarov. He turned and hopped off the table.
"You always protected my children from the shadows. Slowly come into the light and have fun again." said Makarov and then went to the stairs.
Naruto's eyes widened. "Master, you know about this?" asked Naruto. It's true. He had always protected the members of Fairy Tail from threats from the shadows. He was too used to life in the shadows and could never walk the same path as all of Fairy Tail's wonderful members.
He didn't deserve the way in his terms. Because of this, he had always protected all his guild members from the shadows. Be it a demon he defeated at the age of fourteen or where he saved Lisanna. To this day, only Makarov knew about the fact that Naruto saved Lisanna from Elfman back then. It was only thanks to Naruto that Lisanna was still alive.
Makarov paused and turned to Naruto. Naruto's eyes widened as he remembered another old man.
"You are not a monster Naruto. You did all this just for the sake of Konoha. Remember that by your action all the villagers and many mages were saved. I should apologize. You will have to live as a renegade from now on and that only happens, because I couldn't come up with any other solution."
The man looked at Naruto "You are a hero Naruto. Even if no one finds out about your deeds, you will always be the hero in the shadows for Konoha." He turned and looked up at the night sky.
"I'm sure that one day you'll get another chance. Someday someone will give you a helping hand and help you find your way back to the light. Unfortunately, I didn't make it, but I know for sure that someone will help you someday. "
"Come with me." said Makarov. Naruto's eyes widened. He had completely forgotten that memory. How long ago was that? He didn't know exactly what it was. A strange feeling spread through him. He knew that feeling, but he wasn't sure what it was.
Naruto did something he hadn't done in an exceptionally long time. His lips curled into a small smile. You could barely see it, but Makarov saw a change in Naruto right away.
He could see the fight lessening in Naruto's eyes. From the looks of it, he seemed to have finally achieved something with Naruto. For too long Naruto had been punishing himself for not being who he thought he was. He had proven often enough that he would do anything for his comrades. He just always did it from the shadows. Where nobody saw him.
Naruto got up from the couch and went after Makarov. Makarov just jumped from the first floor and landed perfectly on the bar. Nobody was surprised about that. Makarov always sat on the bar and drank his beer.
Lucy saw Naruto coming down the stairs and immediately started smiling. She had been chatting with Mirajane the whole time and was just waiting for Naruto to show up, so shew could show him her guild stamp.
"Naruto!" said Lucy. The stairs to the first floor were right behind the bar and that's why Naruto almost went right into Lucy. He stopped and looked at Lucy "Yes? What is it, Lucy?" asked Naruto. His face looked normal and not as stoic as usual.
Of course, Lucy noticed that straight away. Where she had met him in Hargeon and all along the way to Magnolia, his face was stoic and devoid of any emotion. Now Naruto seemed normal and not as cold as before.
Now Lucy would even write him down in her book, where she wrote down all the men she would like to date. She already deleted Loki from her book because he was strange and otherwise all the men in Fairy Tail were a bit strange too.
Naruto was also weird at first because he was so cold and so uninterested. He had saved her and even carried her off the ship like a bride. He could fly with his wind magic like Natsu's blue cat.
Of course, it makes an impression when someone saved your life and then took you away like a princess. She didn't know what had changed with Naruto, but she was glad about it.
"I got my guild stamp." said Lucy with a big grin. Naruto looked at Lucy's left hand and could see a pink guild stamp. He remembered someone directly from his past. He would never forget the cherry blossoms, and neither the person associated with the cherry blossoms.
Lucy saw the slight smile and it only reinforced her previous opinion. She was really happy about this change. She liked this version of Naruto much better than this stoic version of him.
"Welcome to our guild Lucy." said Naruto.
"Thanks Naruto!"
Naruto looked at Makarov and he nodded at him with a smile. Naruto remembered the question Makarov asked him right at the beginning. He should take care of Lucy. She didn't know the processes and so on in a guild yet. She hadn't been on any quests yet. Naruto looked at Lucy "Would you like me to show you around town?" asked Naruto.
Makarov smiled and took a sip of his beer. He had a feeling that Lucy triggered something in Naruto. He had already seen it when Naruto came into the hall with Lucy. His posture was relaxed and not really cramped as usual. Naruto had taken experiences from his last life into this life and there are also bad experiences and the way he lived he always had to be tense.
To this day, Makarov had never seen Naruto really relaxed. Only being around him allowed Naruto to relax a bit, but otherwise he was always tense.
Something must have happened in Hargeon that changed something in Naruto. He probably wasn't even aware of it, but Makarov had an eye for things like that. He could see it. Something happened at Hargeon, which is why Naruto finally started opening up.
Lucy nodded with a big smile. "Gladly!" said Lucy. She was really glad that she could spend more time with Naruto. So maybe she could get to know him better. So far, all she knew was his name, his magic, and that he was an S-ranked Fairy Tail magician. She didn't know anything else about him.
"NARUTO!"
Naruto looked past Lucy and saw Romeo. Naruto waited a moment because he was still standing behind the bar. Romeo got to the bar pretty quickly and jumped onto a bar stool.
"What's wrong Romeo?" Naruto asked. Romeo was one of the few Naruto had talked to from the start. How could he not? Romeo resembled someone so closely that it was impossible to ignore him.
Naruto still wondered how Konohamaru was doing and if he had become Hokage by now. He hoped so, at least for him. He wanted to follow in his grandfather's footsteps and protect the village from everything.
"My father!" Romeo seemed very hectic. Almost panicked. "He told me he'll be back in 2 days! He's been gone for a week now. Please go and find him Naruto!" Romeo said. If Team Natsu were here, Romeo would have asked Natsu but Natsu, Happy, and Lisanna are currently on a quest.
Naruto remembered that Macao went to Mount Hakobe to hunt the Balkans there. If he remembered it correctly, he should hunt 20 Balkans. Naruto reassured Romeo directly with the simple fact of putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry Romeo, I'll go check it out." Naruto said, walking around the bar. Everyone in the guild looked at Naruto in wonder. Everyone noticed the change in him, and everyone wondered what happened. Even when he spoke to Romeo, he always had a stoic expression on his face. But now you could see a normal face with emotions.
"Hey Mira." Cana Alberone said . Cana was a tall and slim tanned-skinned young woman with an ample bust. She had mid-back length brown hair with varying shades of color, having been seen as bright brown, black, and, ultimately, plain brown. Two shoulder-length strands of hair frame her face, with the left one starting from a prominent, high fringe. Her hair was thick and wavy. Cana's shapely upper body was usually left largely exposed, with most of her attires being distinctively scanty: her standard outfit consisted of a light blue bikini top which featured a camouflage pattern, a pair of capri pants , with two bands hanging from each leg and a light belt covered in heart motifs loosely tied around the waist. She completed her general outfit by wearing a pair of high-heeled sandals. She also had a pair of metal bracelets adorning her biceps, bearing an incision composed of many " A "s, and three simple, round metal bracelets on her right wrist.
As usual, she had a full mug of beer in her hand. Cana was Fairy Tail's heaviest drinker. She could drink as much alcohol as anyone within the guild. "What's the matter with Naruto? He looks like a human again." Cana's cheeks were slightly red from the alcohol in her body.
Mirajane giggled slightly "It looks like someone managed to melt our Naruto's cold heart." Mirajane said and looked at Lucy.
Lucy blushed "Huh?" She looked at Mirajane and raised her hand and pointed a finger at herself. "You mean me?" Lucy asked.
"HEY LUCY!" Naruto shouted. He was already standing at the door and looking over his shoulder. Lucy looked at Naruto and gave him a slightly confused look. "Are you coming?" he asked.
Lucy smiled and ran after Naruto. "COMING!" she called.
Mirajane presented the master with a new beer and said "You were right, master." Mirajane said. Makarov gratefully picked up the mug of beer and took a sip. "Now I can tell you Mira-chan." Makarov said.
Mirajane looked at her master a bit confused. "Naruto was the person who saved Lisanna back then and stopped Elfman." Makarov said. Mirajane's eyes widened when she found out after all these years who had saved her and her siblings back then. She had been wondering all along who had saved her little sister from Elfman back then. She would have never thought it was Naruto.
Now that she knew it, it made sense. After all, Naruto could do magic other than just wind magic. She knew because she had seen him use magic other than wind magic before. The way Lisanna just disappeared before Elfman could hit her and just flew through the air afterwards. It was the way he flew through the air. He moved like a spiral and there seemed to be some kind of vortex around him. There was a spiral wound on his back when Elfman transformed back.
Everything made sense now. Why Naruto didn't even look Mirajane in the eye for a long time back then. She thought he was simply scared of her like most. After all, she was quite different than she is today. But there was another reason. He had hurt Elfman and that's why he didn't look her in the eye anymore. He must have felt really guilty for inflicting such a wound on Elfman. You could still see the scar on Elfman's back today.
She would definitely thank her rescuer afterwards. She was really glad she finally knew. She continued to serve the other members of Fairy Tail, thinking about Naruto the whole time. She's just wondering if he had helped others without them noticing. It's been several years with Lisanna now and who knows who else Naruto helped without revealing himself.
Naruto and Lucy are on their way to the carriage that will take them to Mount Hakobe. "Lucy, do you have any other clothes?" Naruto asked. It was very cold on Mount Hakobe because the whole mountain was covered with snow, and it was always snowing heavily. With her revealing clothes it would be much too cold for Lucy.
"Yes, why?" asked Lucy.
"We have to go to Mount Hakobe, where it is very cold. It's snowing all the time there and there's snow everywhere." Naruto said. He looked Lucy up and down once and then back into her eyes. "I would recommend changing your clothes before we go there."
Lucy's eyes widened. She's really glad that Naruto has pointed this out to her now. She would have just climbed into the carriage with her clothes on and she would have frozen to death on the mountain. There was only one slight problem. All her clothes were in her suitcase, and she had to unpack the suitcase first. So far, she hadn't found a place to live or anything like that. She was also currently dragging her suitcase behind her.
"Wait a minute." Naruto raised his arm and held it out as if grabbing something. Out of nowhere a gray magic circle appeared in the air and Naruto reached into it. His arm briefly disappeared into the magic circle and then he pulled it out again. He drew a long black cloak with white fur collars from the magic circle.
"Here for you. That should keep you warm." Naruto said and held out the cloak to Lucy. Lucy looked at the cloak in amazement and accepted it with a smile.
"Thanks Naruto." Lucy said. She was really glad that she could go with Naruto. He's really completely different since he came down from the first floor. He had a normal conversation with her and even partially smiled. She definitely knew one thing. She liked his smile. It was full of warmth and affection. At first, she couldn't believe her eyes, but now she was happy about this change.
"No problem." Naruto said and continued with Lucy. He didn't even know exactly what happened to him. Now he noticed it too. Ever since he met Lucy in Hargeon, old feelings came back to him.
However she managed it. During the events in Hargeon, Lucy had already managed to tear down the wall around his heart. He was starting to feel more again and because of that he didn't seem so stoic all the time.
He couldn't describe it. There's something special about Lucy. He couldn't prevail against her while they were in Hargeon. No matter how much he wanted to just ignore her and leave her. Something held him in place and made him talk to Lucy and even rescued her from Bora's ship. It was strange, yet somehow liberating. He had the feeling that he had done something important for a long time.
Of course, he hadn't accepted all these feelings at first, although of course he acted that way. He just didn't want to believe it. Since the conversation with Makarov, he simply accepted it. He decided to take the chance and finally look ahead.
He's still not 100 percent sure he really deserved it. But now he was going this way. He made his choice and there was nothing he could do about it.
Sometime later both sat in the carriage on the way to Mount Hakobe. Naruto and Lucy sat across from each other and continued talking.
"What's your favorite color?" asked Lucy.
Naruto blinked a few times and looked at Lucy, slightly confused. He hadn't expected such a question. She asked a very personal question before that. He answered of course, but still he didn't understand why she wanted to know so much about him.
"Orange and yours?" Naruto asked. This will never change. Orange would always be his favorite.
Lucy held up her hand and showed him her guild stamp with a smile. Naruto nodded and got it right away. He also liked the color. How couldn't he? He always liked red and similar colors.
"What was Macao actually doing on Mount Hakobe?" asked Lucy.
"He hunted Balkans. These are great apes that can use magic." Naruto said. "When we are on the mountain, you must always stay close to me. Balkans have a fondness for women and especially attractive women like you."
Lucy blushed "W-really?" She got a little shy and looked away slightly. She had never before received a compliment from anyone when it came to her looks. It was an unfamiliar feeling, but it felt very good. Especially since it came from Naruto.
It was only now that he realized what he had said at the end. He blushed slightly and looked away briefly, scratching something on the side of his face with a finger. Whether it was in his life in the Elemental Nations or here in Earthland, he had never had any experience with women. In the Elemental Nations, he was a traitor and an S-rank criminal mage. There he had other concerns than women. In Earthland he lived his entire life in the shadows, as he did in the Elemental Nations before dying there and waking up here and being found by Makarov.
"Um... yes." Naruto said. He looked at Lucy "So no matter what happens, just stay by my side and don't stray too far." Naruto said. Lucy just nodded and stayed silent. Naruto then looked out the window of the carriage and thought.
Lucy watched Naruto a bit and kept thinking about the compliment. It was just a simple compliment, but to her it was more. It was a confirmation of what was badly needed. She had almost thought that she wasn't attractive and that the universe was against her. She had no experience with men for a reason. Men just didn't respond to her attractiveness and even when she once put on a show for a man, he would rather pay attention to another woman who wasn't even sexy like herself! She'd had confirmation that she was sexy and attractive and it was just all these men. All the men had bad luck. They would never get another show from Lucy. Because Lucy was faced with someone who had rescued her and now confirmed that she was attractive. His appearance also fit and she could say that she was happy to experience a lot with Naruto.
"Hey Naruto?" Lucy asked.
Naruto looked at Lucy and she said, "Thank you again. You really saved me in Hargeon. Without you I would have been under the Charm just like these women and anything else could have happened to me."
"Please, I should be the one who thanks you." Naruto said. Lucy looked at him a bit confused "I don't know how you did it. But somehow you managed to make me feel something again. For years I haven't felt anything because I had closed my heart. I don't know exactly how you did it, but you got my heart beating a bit again and I thank you for that."
Lucy blushed at the explanation. She had no idea how to react. She looked away, slightly embarrassed, and Naruto then looked out the window again. He wondered what might have happened to Macao. Balkans could use different magics, but mainly take-over magic. This means that they could use take-over magic to take over a human if they were weakened enough.
'Something's wrong. Macao is strong enough and would never lose against several Balkans.' thought Naruto. He just hoped his guess was wrong. Otherwise, it would be better if Lucy would return directly with the carriage.
He was used to fighting and he had a lot of experience. But Lucy wasn't like Naruto. She was a woman as was usual in this world. She didn't come from a world where killing others was normal. Naruto had killed so many people and fought others that he was always prepared for anything.
He had even survived the encounter with a real dragon. He had to fight massive demons several times in his old world, and they were at least as dangerous as dragons in this world.
Many always think that dragon slayers were needed to harm dragons. But that was wrong. A dragon was of course extremely strong and with Dragon Slayer magic it was much easier to hurt dragons because this magic was particularly effective against dragons. But even a mage with normal magic could hurt dragons. Of course, not as simple, and not as effective as Dragon Slayer, but still, a magician without Dragon Slayer magic could hurt dragons. The magic just had to be strong enough to hurt dragons. In addition, most dragons did not have extremely robust scales on the underside of their bodies. They were not as well protected there as by their scales.
If his assumption was correct and a magician would be on Hakobe Mountain, then he would have to protect Lucy in any case. He had now decided to go the way that Lucy made possible for him. He would protect her with everything he had. No matter what would happen. He had sworn that to himself.
"Naruto?" Lucy asked. A few minutes had passed while Naruto was thinking and by that time Lucy had calmed down a bit and was back to normal. She gave him a normal smile without blushing.
"Yes?" Naruto asked.
"How long have you been in Fairy Tail?" Lucy asked.
"12 Years."
Lucy didn't expect that answer. Given Naruto's strength and his special magic, she would have expected him to be as well-known as Fairy Tail's salamander, Mirajane, or Cana Alberone. After all, Naruto was a magician who could fly with his magic and could move extremely fast.
When he fought against Bora and his comrades, he always disappeared briefly before reappearing somewhere. It looked like Naruto was vanishing in the wind. She could already tell how he did it. She couldn't get many answers from him, but he had briefly explained how he could move so quickly. He concentrated wind at his feet and thus he could become as fast as the wind.
Someone who could fly through wind magic and move extremely fast would usually be well known and especially if that magician belonged to Fairy Tail. However, she had never heard anything about Naruto until she met him in Hargeon and learned from him that he belonged to Fairy Tail. An article about him had never been published in the Weekly Sorcerer. On top of that, he was an S-rank magician. Every S-rank magician from Fairy Tail was known. But she didn't know anything about Naruto.
"Have you never done an interview with the Weekly Sorcerer?"
"I don't like being in the spotlight. I like being in the background." Naruto said. This was still the case. If he could avoid it, he'd still prefer to stay in the background. Not as extreme as before, of course, but he still preferred to avoid attention. But how well that would succeed from now on was another matter. He had already seen it in his master's eyes.
Master Makarov wouldn't allow Naruto to pull away to the extreme that he usually did. He wouldn't be able to do it like before because now Lucy was also in the guild. He had brought her into the guild and so he was responsible for her in a sense. This meant that he would have to show her around. Whether it was the processes in the guild or other things. It would take some time for her to see everything, and dark mage guilds were also becoming more active.
It would only take one incident, and everyone would know about Naruto. He had a certain feeling that he would soon become just as popular as the others. He would try to prevent it as best he could, but eventually it would hit him too.
He just looked out the window with a thoughtful look. Lucy looked at Naruto and wondered what was wrong with him. He seemed absentminded right now, like he was thinking about something that wasn't particularly nice.
"You okay, Naruto?" Lucy asked.
"Huh? Yeah, I'm fine." Naruto said. He looked out the window and thought of a certain person from his past. He wasn't exactly sure why he was remembering her right now. She was the only one back then who could tempt him in a certain way.
He shook his head and tried not to think about that person anymore. But he still remembered the last sentence before he died for the eyes of others and woke up again in this world.
"It's not over yet! I'll get you, Naruto Uzumaki!" The female voice found its way into his ear. Naruto could hear desperation, sadness, anger, and other emotions. The woman had tears in her eyes as he slowly closed his own eyes and was engulfed in a massive explosion. Those crimson eyes were the last thing he saw before he was hurled into the unknown.
The two felt the carriage stop. "I would recommend you put the cloak on now." Naruto said and stood up. Lucy nodded and pulled on the black cloak with a white fur collar and then Naruto opened the door of the carriage. A cold wind blew straight into the carriage and blew Naruto's white haori back and forth a bit.
Naruto got out and turned around. He held out his hand to Lucy and she looked slightly confused for a moment before she smiled and took his hand and climbed out of the carriage. When Lucy got out of the carriage, the carriage drove off again.
Everywhere was white. She could see nothing but white. A blizzard raged over the entire mountain peaks surrounding Mount Hakobe. There was nothing but snow, ice and rock. Naruto held up his hand and then a gray magic circle appeared in front of them both.
"Wind Magic: Wind Barrier." Lucy was allowed to watch as the wind gathered around them and blocked the snow from hitting them both. It was like snow was hitting an invisible shield of wind.
"Let's go." Naruto said. He had stowed Lucy's suitcase in another dimension, otherwise it would have been difficult to move here. Both walked side by side and Naruto called Macao's name every now and then. He stopped and right after that Lucy stopped too.
"Get behind me." Naruto said. Lucy didn't even ask, instead she stood right behind Naruto. Her black cloak and Naruto's long white haori were blown from side to side by the strong wind. The snow probably didn't hit the two of them, but the strong wind did anyway.
Naruto narrowed his eyes and right after that a big white monkey jumped at him and Lucy. "WOMAN!" exclaimed the monkey with hearts in his eyes. Lucy startled and yelled "KYAAAHH!"
Naruto raised his arm and caught the Balkan's massive fist. The result was a small shock. Lucy held onto Naruto tightly so she wouldn't fall over from the small tremor.
"So, my fears were correct..." Naruto said, making a fist with his free hand. The Balkan couldn't break away from Naruto no matter how hard he tried. Naruto hit the Balkan once and by doing so the Balkan's eyes widened.
The Balkan's body lifted off the ground and hurtled through the air before crashing into a wall. Naruto looked over his shoulder at Lucy who was standing behind him.
"Are you okay?" Naruto asked.
"Yes, thanks. You protected me again." Lucy said with a smile. Naruto nodded and then looked at the Balkan. He walked towards him and before Lucy could ask Naruto a golden magic circle appeared under the Balkan and right after that the Balkan was shrouded in a golden light and shortly after that he transformed.
When the golden light was gone, Macao was revealed. Lucy's eyes widened. She ran right after Naruto and stood next to him while Naruto crouched down in front of Macao and checked his vitals. He sighed once and looked up at Lucy.
"Balkans can use take-over magic, allowing them to take over weakened humans. This is Macao the man we're looking for." Before anything else could be said, Naruto's eyes widened. He stood up straight away and looked around.
"Naruto?" Lucy asked. Naruto turned to Lucy and grabbed her by both shoulders. She was startled by the sudden physical contact and turned bright red. Before she could ask what was going on, Naruto said something.
"Listen Lucy, you have to take Macao and get out of here." Naruto said.
"What? Why?" Lucy asked him, confused. She didn't understand anything anymore.
"I'll explain everything later." Naruto said. He took her hand and touched Macao's body with his other hand. Wind gathered around the three and shortly thereafter they all disappeared in the wind.
Naruto appeared with Lucy and Macao some distance away and let them both go. "Take care of Macao." Naruto said. He then turned around and as he did so, wind swirled around him before he simply disappeared into the wind. Lucy called his name, but it was already too late. He was already gone, and she was standing here at a safe distance. She could hardly believe how far she had been transported in that one moment. She was no longer surrounded by snow, and she could see all of the snowy mountains in the distance.
She shook her head briefly and went over to Macao to see if he was okay. His breathing was regular and apart from a few injuries Macao appeared to be fine. She looked at the snowy mountains and could only hope that nothing happened to Naruto. He never looked as serious as he did just now.
Naruto appeared in midair over Hakobe Mountain and looked around. His eyes searched for the signature of the magical power he had just felt. That was impossible, absolutely impossible. He should never have felt this magical power and yet he had felt it.
His white haori swept in the wind and his golden blond hair was tossed uncontrollably by the strong wind. Naruto turned around, feeling it again. There it was again for a brief moment.
The magical signature of someone from his past who should never have been in this world and yet she was here. He darted away, leaving behind a sonic boom and two air rings. He flew through the air and not a bit of snow flew in his face. As before, the snow hit a windshield that was around Naruto like a sphere.
He stopped and now stood in the air looking down at a mountain peak. He couldn't believe it. His heart started beating faster when he saw this person. That might be impossible. This person should never look like this and she shouldn't be in this dimension.
The woman's long black hair squirmed uncontrollably and her single revealed eye shimmered. Naruto would never forget those blood red eyes. It didn't matter how long he's been in this dimension.
The woman just stood there, majestic as usual, with her arms folded under her chest. He slowly sank down and during this time his blue eyes kept looking into the woman's red eye. Due to the strong wind, her long black hair was moved in such a way that you could see her other red eye for a short time. Her long black clothes were the same as usual, only she wore no armor over her black clothes.
Naruto landed on another mountain and looked at the woman. A gray aura appeared around him and a red aura around the woman. The two auras of the two caused even stronger winds and a slight tremor of the mountain peaks.
Naruto and the woman jumped at each other, yelling each other's names.
"NARUTOOOO!" the woman yelled.
"MADARAAAAAA!" Naruto yelled.
As the mages collided, there was a massive explosion that lit up the sky and split the dark clouds. Lucy's eyes widened when she heard and saw the explosion. She was far away, but she could still see the explosion clearly. The black clouds in the distance were parted and the sky brightened a bit because there were no longer black clouds over the mountain tops.
'Naruto...' thought Lucy.
(A/N This will be a one-shot for NOW. I had uploaded this story once but I didn't write any longer on it because I had stress in my private life. Since I am back and write again, I unpacked this first chapter again and simply wanted to see if anyone even is interested in this story. When I see that enough people want this story to continue, then I will begin to write on it again. That would be all from me, have a nice day!)
