If there was one thing that Calysta noticed instantly that she seemed to be much shorter than the people of this world. After exiting the doors she noticed a male figure that was standing near some stones nearby, slowly, she approached him. He seemed to have taken notice of her as he stood up straighter. He was a strange sight, he seemed to wear a unusual grey colored mask he was also wearing what seemed to be grey rags possible with armor and

"Oh yes… Tarnished are we?" He asked, causing Calysta to tilt her head slightly in confusion. However, he seemed to ignore it as he continued to speak in a almost mocking tone," Come to the Lands Between for the Elden Ring, hmm? Of course you have. No shame in it."

*Elden Ring?* Calysta thought to herself with utter confusion. As much as she wished to ask this person questions, something within her told her he was not a friend. So she allowed him to continue uninterrupted, " Unfortunately for you, however, you are maidenless. Without guidance. Without grace, without the strength of runes, and without an invitation to the Round Table Hold…" He paused for but a moment before finishing," You are fated it seems, to die in obscurity."

Calysta didn't say anything as she started to walk away, as she did so he called," By the way Tarnished. You are quite shorter than I expected."

She could feel her eye twitch as she didn't give him a response, continuing forward, without purpose or guidance of any sort she became lost. The light that sat high in the sky was slowly waning, during her wondering she had come to encounter many opponents. Some she dispatched with relative ease others had given her a tough time. Such as with the case of the horseback rider as he was three times larger than her. She was surprised that her body held against the many strikes the knight had landed upon her. Her arms and body ached as it eventually gave way to indescribable pain.

Still she continued to walk and stumble in an unknown direction hoping for some form of ally or someone to tell her something about the world around her. It seemed her prayers were answered in the form of a strange sight before her now. It started off with someone yelling out for help, despite her current state she followed the voice until she came upon a large jar being.

"Hello! Can you help me?" He called out, causing Calysta to look around tiredly before she responded," Yes? I can try to assist you."

"If you could that would be that would be wonderful!" He replied back with enthusiasm.

Calysta nodded her head as she slowly made her way over to behind him, using the flat end of the sword, she used the remaining strength she had within her arms and managed to free him. The pot let out a jolly laugh, his back was turned to her as she fell to the ground feeling weak and tired. His laugh stopped immediately as he quickly rushed to her side and asked with surprise,

"Are you alright, Tarnished? My word have you taken a rest at a Grace Site?"

Calysta slowly blinked as she replied back with a croaky voice," Grace? What is that?"

"Y-You don't know what grace is, Tarnished?" The huge pot asked her causing her to shake her head no. At the shake of her head she could feel herself being picked up, followed by the sound of footfalls and the wind blowing through her hair and against her skin. Her vision was beginning to fade in and out as her hearing began to hear the jar began to speak once more," Hang on, Lady Tarnished! I nearly have you to a grace point."

After that Calysta hear no more as her vision faded once more into black.

*Its good to see thee once more, Calysta* The familiar soft male voice called out her in the inky darkness.

"Who is there!? How do you know me? Why I am here?" Calysta yelled out with fear and sorrow.

Suddenly, the once dark world was brightened revealing a large landscape filled with trees, flowers and clear lakes. Calysta looked around in awe, however, she felt a warm presence behind her causing her to turn see an extremely tall male standing near a large white tree. Slowly, she approached him she could see that he had long white hair with a full beard that stopped at the top of his chest. His glowing orangeish yellow eyes watched her as she approached and he spoke, softly as if talking to a deer,

*I am Ythos. I am life. I brought thee here to help with balance.*

"Balance… What balance?" Calysta asked with a hint of confusion as she watched him move closer to until they were standing side by side. It was then that she realized that she was extremely short compared to his massive height. *Life and death. The holder of the Elden Ring and queen of the Land Between, has removed death from the ring. Stopping the flow of the cycle. Stagnation now engulfs the world*

"Im sorry to hear that, but what does that have to do with me? I just wanted my baby… I just wanted to die with my baby…" Calysta asked with a teary tone.

*Thy will was strong. As well as your love for that which was unborn. You posses the strength to bring forth balance and reignite empathy and love for all beings. I will guide thee. I have bequeath thee with my rune. It lies within thy body.* He replied as he turned to gaze into the water, however before Calysta could ask anything more, she could feel a pull that caused her to fall backwards once again.

*Remember to find thy child in the cocoon.* Ythos commanded as she fell back into darkness.

Her eyes snapped open, quickly sitting up, she looked around before her eyes landed upon what appeared to be a diamond shaped yellow orb. It seemed to have traces of light leaving it, causing her to tilt her head in question, her thoughts however were soon interrupted when she heard the familiar male voice call out,

"Ah! I am glad you are up, Lady Tarnished. How do you fare?"

Calysta turned to see the large pot she had freed before she had fell unconscious. "I am feeling better than I was before. Thank you for helping me. May I ask what your name is?" Calysta asked with a hint of curiosity.

"The name is Alexander. Iron Fist Alexander to be more precise. I am glad you are feeling much better, Lady Tarnished." He replied back with a booming voice.

"You can call me, Calysta. I don't suppose you would be willing to assist me. I am lost…" She began when Alexander gently cut in with confusion," Lost, Lady Calysta? Do you not know where you are?"

Calysta looked down at the grass covered ground as she replied back meekly," No I don't know where I am. Nor do I know what this is?" She pointed to the yellow orb," Is this the grace point you were telling me about?"

"Have no fear, Lady Calysta. I'll assist you I may be a warrior pot, but it would do me a great disservice if I left you alone," He began as she walked over to her side and let out a groan as he sat down," To answer you question, yes this is a grace point. From my knowledge, Tarnished rest at these points it allows your vitality and her stamina to return. From what I noticed when you helped me was that you looked very drained and you were wounded to boot."

"So these pointes are kind of rest spots for people such as myself?" Calysta asked softly as she felt her head begin to ach at trying to make sure that she remembered such things.

"Correct. Tell me Lady Calysta where do you hail from? You are by far the shortest Tarnished that I have met." Alexander said as he crossed his arms over himself. Calysta couldn't help it as she puffed out her cheeks and replied back with a small bit of irritation," You are the second individual that has mention my height. It is not my fault everyone here is much taller than myself."

Alexander began to laugh as he replied," Well met, Lady Calysta." Calysta, allowed a small huff to escape her mouth as she continued to speak," As from where I am from… I don't think you will believe me."

"That is utter nonsense. Of course I would believe you, but if it brings back bad memories then you do not have to share," Alexander said with a soothing tone, causing Calysta to let out another soft sigh as she replied back,

"I can use a friend. Someone to tell my tale to even if it is just seems like a fantasy tale…"

"Then I shall be your friend, Lady Calysta. Tell me your tale and I promise I'll assist you to the best of my ability. I swear it upon my honor as a warrior jar," Alexander said thumping a fist upon the front part of his body.

Calysta smiled up at him and began to tell him her tale of her very first death and how she came to be in the land that was about to lay down a foundation of something she never would dream of happening.

(Chapter 2 is done! I hope you enjoy and I apologize for any OOCness coming from Alexander. Let me know what you think. )
