PLEASE NOTE: I have seriously rewritten some things in this story. It will require a re-read. Prologue A is now chapter 1 and chapter 2, I've decided to change how the layout goes. I hope the changes work for the better and hope you enjoy!

A/N: This is my addition to the Harry Potter Time Travel AU. This story will contain Dumbledore bashing. And maybe some Lily, Marauders, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione bashing. Well, for those last three, I think you'll dislike them for the role they play in the story which will be most noted on chapter 2, which will be what happened before their return to 1977, and I still fill the need to put this into the first chapters as it's introducing several things in my AU. But not for much more in the story unless I make some certain decisions, but those will come with thoughts from after the before. By the way, there will be some OOC- ness. I apologize for that, but it plays into the changes I've made. I have further notes at the end of this chapter and hope you'll read through this and enjoy.

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. The world and Characters belong to J. K. Rowling. Rating and genres may change.

Summary:

Tom, Severus, and Harry find themselves back in 1977, Severus's sixth year at Hogwarts, after all three have fallen in the final battle. Severus to Tom. Tom to Harry. And Harry to the ultimate betrayal. Back in time, the trio work to dispose of that eras Voldemort before certain events can happen, while simultaneously working to terrorize the marauders, Lily, and stop Albus's machinations that will ultimately result in the end of all magic. It's up to them to save the future of Magic. As they work towards their goal, things in the background come to the forefront, leading to more changes than even they had planned. Will they succeed with their goal? Or will they perish with Magic sooner rather than later?

Chapter 1

Three 16-year-old, dark haired boys stood in front of the closed doors that led into the Great Hall. They were waiting for the right moment to enter, and a minute later, it was almost time. "Alright, the first years are almost done being sorted." The middle boy- Severus Cadmus Prince- said, turning deep, black eyes on his two companions. "The role call is reversed this year which means you'll be called to sort first Anti." He informed the taller boy who had dark, forest green eyes. Said boy nodded.

"Then you'll be called Iggy." He told the third boy- one who was much shorter than the other two by almost an entire foot. This boy had bright, Avada green eyes the seemed to shine in his delicately pale face. Severus turned his attention back to the doors. He nodded after a moment. "You two ready to make an entrance?" He asked with a slight smirk.

"As we'll ever be." The two replied. He nodded.

"Let's go then." he said. One more moment to collect themselves and then Severus was throwing the doors open, drawing the entire hall's attention. The trio could feel the shock radiating from the students and teachers, though it was most noticeable with three older years. There were three reasons for this other than the abrupt entrance, and that was each of the boys. With Severus, it was because he no longer looked how he did at the end of his fifth year. In fact, those that knew the boy would swear that it was almost a different person entirely, and who knows. Maybe they could consider that to be the truth. No longer was Severus the short, sickly, bony, insecure child they all knew from before.

Severus had gained a growth spurt over the summer, giving him several more inches to his once stunted height. His skin was no longer sickly and sallow, but fair and healthy with the lightest bit of a rosy shade. This in turn caused his dark, onyx eyes to stand out, a spark no one had ever seen in them before. His hair had grown longer, reaching just past his shoulders. It was darker and no longer possessing its oily sheen, instead showing off a soft shine. If this wasn't enough of a change, the boy also wore the finest, elegant robes of dark ebony with the purest Slytherin green enhancing it. On his ring finger for all to see as it flashed in the dim light was the Prince Lord ring. But the most eye-catching thing about him? He walked with a grace and confidence that no one ever remembered him possessing before. A gait that was shared by his two companions.

The second shock was the tall, handsome boy on one side of Severus. This boy also possessed fair skin, though unlike his raven-haired companions, his was a dark chocolate brown. Short and combed back but losing none of its soft looking texture. His eyes were a dark, forest green that gleamed like jade in the dim light. He too wore robes of a similar nature to Severus's own, though they lacked the Slytherin green. On his ring finger was the Sayre Lord ring, which had those who recognized the crest wondering why the descendant of Ilvermorny's founder was attending Hogwarts. Or how there was a descendant at all, considering the family had been believed to be extinct for at least a century.

The last boy- and last shock so far- was much shorter than both of his companions by at least a foot, putting him at the same height as the school's average fourth year. He was pale but with more color than either of his companions. His hair was pitch black and reached his mid back, though it was kept in a low horse tail with a green ribbon that stood out against the darkness of his locks. However, what caught everyone's attention wasn't the robes he wore that were of equal quality to his companions', or even the Peverell Lord ring on his finger. It was his eyes. Eyes that matched identically to the famed killing curse. Those who had seen the curse found themselves sucking in sharp breaths that caught in their throats at the sight of those nearly glowing orbs.

The trio came to a stop before the Deputy Headmistress and the sorting hat that sat upon the stool with a faint, nearly imperceptible smirk. "Sorry we're late, Deputy Headmistress. We got a bit... held up." Severus spoke respectfully, his deep, confident voice surprising many. Certain eyes noted how many students swooned at the tone, one they couldn't help but relate too, though it didn't stop them from wanting to smirk. Even if they did refrain from doing so. "These are the two sixth year transfers that I'm sure you got word about." Severus's tone was nothing but respectful as he continued. "Allow me to introduce Lord Thomas Sayre and Lord Harrison Peverell." Whispers broke out all across the hall at the names being officially verbalized.

"But of course." McGonagall said. "Let's get you two sorted, shall we?" She asked.

'I'll save you two seats.' Severus thought, getting imperceptible nods from the two of them. With that, the Prince Lord made his way to the middle of Slytherin table which possessed the most empty, consecutive seats which he kept empty with his own subtle inventions.

"Well then, Lord Sayre, you're up first." McGonagall said, motioning towards the stool. Tom took his seat on the stool and allowed the tall witch to place the sorting hat on his head.

'Why, hello again Lord Slytherin.' The hat greeted.

'Sorter. It's been a while, hasn't it?'

'Indeed. I see how you came to be here and your intentions. It's wonderful that you're back and sane. Oh, and what's this? Young Prince has claimed his inheritances as well as Young Po- Peverell.' the Sorter corrected at the slight glimmer of offense on the smaller boy's behalf in relation to the Potter name. 'So that makes three-fourths of Hogwarts's heirs residing in Hogwarts now. How lovely to have so many of you where you belong. I do hope that you'll use this to your advantage to not only get rid of the manipulative spider in our midst, but also to return Hogwarts to her former glory.' It said.

Tom frowned at the Sorter's words for a moment. 'What has he done to her?' he asked pensively. He knew there was some difference to Hogwarts from how she had been in his school days and then it clicked. The magic of the castle was weaker. And he held back the flinch when he remembered how her magic was practically caged during Harry's years their first time around. 'Ah, never mind. I see. Yes, that does need to be fixed. And while it might take longer than we want, we do plan on getting rid of him as well.' Tom assured the Sorter, who gave a mental nod of approval.

'I'm glad we're all in agreement that Albus is a threat to not only the children but Lady Magic's existence. Very well, I believe we know exactly where you belong.' the hat opened the rip at its brim. "SLYTHERIN!" the Sorter hollered out over the hall where some were beginning to whisper about the time it was taking. Tom returned the hat to McGonagall who looked a little put out at losing a potential Gryffindor to Slytherin. But at least she wasn't out right looking at him with either disdain or suspicion- unlike Albus who's eyes were full of suspicion.

'Looks like the old man is suspicious.' Tom thought in amusement as he took a place next to Severus.

'Of course he's suspicious. After all, it seems every time a 'Tom' comes around, he brands them Dark Lords.' Harry mused, stepping forward and replacing Tom on the stool after McGonagall called on him. He mentally cursed his short size when he realized that his feet were barely touching the floor. It was obvious he was smaller than average as the hall whispered about whether or not such a short child could really be a sixth year. He could hear Tom and Severus's mental amusement and snickers. 'I will curse you two bright gold and crimson.' he warned, even as his face remained serene in the face of the hall's whispers. And of course, the hat fell over his eyes. Of course it did.

'Ah, my heir to Gryffindor and that one I would later regret sorting into a house he didn't belong. Perhaps if I could have convinced you then, maybe things would have been different.' the Sorter's voice was... mournful and Harry couldn't help the soothing feeling he sent to it. He would never blame the Sorter for what had happened in his original timeline.

'Do not fret. We have a chance to fix it now.' Harry comforted.

'I will admit, I'm curious about your direct situation involving the changes the three of you are planning. It seems some things are blocked, even to me.' the Sorter mused, pulling itself from the worst mistake it would ever have made.

Harry gave a soft huff of amusement. 'You can rest assured that all will be fine on my end. Even if it wasn't, I would still have accepted this chance to fix things, risks and all.' Harry informed the Sorter.

'Very well then. I will take your word for it.' The Sorter accepted, before something gleeful entered its tone. 'Let's put you where you belong, shall we?' It asked with excitement.

'Of course. As you will it, Sorter.' Harry agreed in amusement.

"SLYTHERIN!" the relish in the Sorter's decision was off putting to nearly the entire populace of Hogwarts, with few exceptions. McGonagall herself took the Sorter from Harry's head on auto pilot, seeming shocked by the uncharacteristic behavior of the Sorter. To think it would express such an intense emotion for one student's sorting was...disturbing.

Harry merely walked with a serene look on his face to Tom and Severus's sides, both who separated and sat him down in between them with a gentlemanly hand apiece. Harry gave a good-natured roll of his eyes as he accepted his place between them with grace. The two of them were so overly courteous and protective. The trio- with the rest of the hall- listened as Albus gave a normal start of term speech:

"Welcome to another year at Hogwarts for our returning students, and welcome to Hogwarts for our new students." He began jovially. "I would like to inform our newest students that the Forbidden Forest is, in fact, Forbidden." That got chuckles from some of the students. "I would also like to point out that no magic is to be used in the corridors." Severus mentally scoffed in his mind, his two companions just as aware of how often Albus Dumbledore allowed his favorites to use magic in the corridor to torment and bully other students.

"Mr. Filch has a list of forbidden items in his office for any who would like to peruse it. We also have a new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. Give a warm welcome to Professor Mortimer Fawley!" The headmaster's voice held suspicion towards the man, though he did well to hide it from most as a tall, handsome, pale man in neat dark robes with short, slicked back silver hair and deep indigo eyes stood and accepted the enthusiastic applause. Indigo swept over the trio at the Slytherin table, and he smirked in amusement before looking away. It happened so fast, though, that only the four of them knew it had in fact happened. "In addition, the quidditch try outs will be held two weeks into term for anyone second year and up who would like to try out for a position on their house teams. Now, with the announcements out of the way, dig in!" He finished up his speech and food magically appeared on the tables as students began to dig in and converse with their table mates.

"So, Snape. Who are the newcomers and how did you come to know them?" A voice asked to the left, revealing a seventh-year student, though many students were listening up and down the table.

"Is it really of any concern to you Mulciber?" Severus drawled. Severus and Mulciber had never gotten along until after Severus had left Hogwarts in the last timeline, despite how it had seemed to Lily in their fifth year.

"I'm merely curious about such... interesting names. Let alone titles." Mulciber replied. Severus cast a glance at the other two who nodded.

Severus gave a long-suffering sigh as he placed his utensils down, making it clear he was merely musing the older pure blood. This in turn cause Mulciber to scowl unpleasantly at the perceived dig. "Very well then. The three of us met a few summers ago when their families were visiting London. They had been attending separate academies at the time, so none of us revealed out magic to the others- for the sake of the Statute of Secrecy of course." He informed the older boy and the many who were listening in, even if they were doing a rather impressive job of appearing not to be. In addition, it just so happened that that summer was one that Severus and Lily hadn't been able to spend together due to Lily's family going on vacation to the states. "We have been keeping in touch. When we met up this summer-" the same summer Severus and Lily hadn't even talked to each other due to their fall out. "We all received our Hogwarts letters at the same time. That was when we discovered the others were magic and things just progressed from there." He explained. This was the story they had all agreed on.

"And your titles?" Fifth year Dolores Umbridge asked with a simper. It took all of the three boys' willpower to not sneer at her contemptuously. While she grew up to be a revolting pink clad... unpleasant woman... that use a blood quill to literally torture children, this Umbridge was not her, though on her way to being her. Others down the table weren't as successful as they were, not that the younger girl noticed.

"Well, we had to visit Gringotts to exchange money for school supplies and dragged Cad here with us against his will. There we happened to discover our lineages and that all three of us were eligible to take lordships, so we did." Tom replied nonchalantly, also indicating he was merely musing the others. Mulciber bristled but held back since they were in the middle of the Great Hall. Dolores also scowled, though she was doing better than Mulciber in controlling herself.

"I'm rather curious." Narcissa began. "Pardon. My name is Narcissa Black." She introduced herself, receiving introductions in return. They weren't necessary since everyone had heard their names when they were getting sorted. But inter house politics and all that. "I'm rather curious about your traditions. Either every day or special occasions." She prompted softly.

'That's a good way of getting information on our standings and values without out right asking if we're dark, light, or neutral. I see why she was the queen of Slytherin during her years here.' Harry mused to the boys on either side of him before he answered her question. "Well, we respect magic in all its forms." He answered her with a sweet smile, giving off an innocent air about him that made him seem even younger than he already looked. The Slytherins almost snorted. He had given them such a vague answer that he couldn't be pinned down to any one nature, while also informing them that he did, in fact, respect Magic. Which meant that his standing would remain unknown unless a more direct question requiring a direct answer was asked or through observation. And as Slytherins, it was obvious which course they would choose.

"Indeed." Lucius voiced before introducing himself. "Lucius Malfoy."

Harry gave the platinum blonde a warm smile. "Pleasure indeed, to meet the Malfoy Heir." Harry replied. Lucius nodded, then had to glance away to hide the blush that the adorable boy had caused to spontaneously flare up on his cheeks.

"Well, it seems as though some Slytherins have manners. That's a start." Tom mused, the dig aimed at Dolores and Mulciber. as he took a sip from his goblet. The two in question flushed. Dolores was the first to try and fix her mistake, giving a fake cough that had those that could hide their cringes at the unpleasant sound.

"Of course, how rude of me. My apologies, really. My name is Dolores Umbridge. Pleased to make you acquaintance." She introduced herself politely.

"Awarnach Mulciber." Mulciber growled out, adding nothing else to it. Tom and Harry raised a brow at that. 'Awarnach' meant giant. And while Mulciber was taller that Severus or Harry- but really, who wasn't taller than Harry? - He wasn't taller than Lucius, Tom, or even Narcissa.

'The reason Mulciber prefers to go by Mulciber is because he doesn't fit his own name. His father expected him to be... bigger, than he turned out to be. Both of them are rather disappointed with the outcome.' Severus explained with a mental smirk.

'I see.' They chose not to comment out loud.

"I must say, for holding such powerful and important titles, I'm rather curious to the high standards necessary for acquiring them." Dolores said. The trio were impressed at the subtle and flatter attempt at fishing for their blood statuses. Though, considering she herself was a half-blood, it shouldn't matter.

"Hm... the requirements for each of our titles included having to be accepted by the family magics. Being the last direct descendant of these lines- which isn't hard when all other family is dead and gone." Tom mused. It was understood by the majority of the Slytherins that he was indicating that all three of them were orphans... including Severus who, last any of the Slytherins had heard, still had his father.

"Of course, there were certain tests laid out for us that we had to pass. Though, I wouldn't say that they were all that difficult for us." Severus added, a hint of pride in his tone. It also indicated that others would struggle to pass these tests... Considering that due to their circumstances, they had to taste Death, it was an honest truth. And obviously they had Albus bloody Dumbledore to thank for that.

"Lastly, we had to be more magically powerful than any of the off-shooting branches of the family we took up our lordships for." Harry finished, enjoying the hints of frustration she was starting to show at their dodging of her intended inquiry. Others understood that Harry was also implying that he was more magically powerful than any of the living Potters who were thought to be the closest relation to the ancient Peverell name.

"Yes, indubitably." Dolores said. "However, I was wondering about the clauses pertaining to your more recent lineage." She attempted, losing the better part of her subtly in her quest for the answer.

"Oh... You should have been clearer." Harry's voice was cheerful and practically unsuspecting. Which made others all that more suspicious of his reply. And while Dolores was a Slytherin, she wasn't the cleverest of them. Therefore, she was not prepared for how the boy would reply. "Why, we share the same as you and Cad here." Harry answered innocently, like he hadn't just outed Umbridge as a half-blood when she had spent the better part of her first four years heavily implying that she was pure-blooded. Of course, most everyone already knew that she wasn't but had been curious as to what she was trying to accomplish. There was also the fact that half-blood, while not as notable as pure blood, also wasn't the least notable, and therefore wasn't something to try to cover up. Not now a days, at least, though maybe 20 or 30 years ago it was different.

Umbridge turned bright red and hissed lowly. "Disgusting, lowlife filth-" she began, winding up for what Harry suspected would have been a very impressively racial tantrum... If a rather protective former Dark Lord hadn't stepped in.

"Why, Ms. Umbridge, it isn't healthy to refer to yourself in such a way." He interrupted her, voice mocking and dark, so similar to how he had sounded when he hadn't been sane.

"One might think you're... deranged. Abnormal." Severus murmured softly, but the way ice seemed to enter his voice put many on edge. Already they could tell that this Severus was different from the one they had known for five years. And none were quite sure what that meant for them. The embarrassed fifth year settled herself down, trying to make herself less of a target. After all, it was still the welcoming feast, and she couldn't just leave. It would gain too much attention and that was the absolute last thing she wanted then.

Severus and Tom didn't feel sorry or remorseful. They knew she wasn't the same woman who had tortured many students, had made Harry carve 'I must not tell lies.' into the back of his hand. But they knew that if they didn't start on targeting her hypocritical prejudices, then she would be, and she could be more than the lackey and side piece of an incompetent and rather pathetic Minister.

Talk settled down from there, going onto more neutral topics, such as summer experiences, like balls. Or even expectations and speculations about the new D.A.D.A professor from a thought to be extinct dark line. Many were hoping Professor Fawley would be better than the professor from last year. A witch none had bothered to remember the name of. She had been entirely self-absorbed and was rarely ever a proper teacher to her students. Severus commented to his two companions about how she had been like a female Lockhart, which had caused Harry to shudder, remembering the useless man.

While the other students talked, the trio that had gained so much attention that night were observing everyone and everything while not appearing to be doing so. They spotted Lily mixed in with the Marauders and her friend Mary. Mary was a blonde fifth year girl that Mulciber had attacked the year before. That had many unfortunate outcomes for Mulciber: He had been an outcast of Slytherin for a solid two months afterwards. Not because he had used dark magic, but because he had been caught. There hadn't been any irreparable physical or mental damage, but it was still an attack on a fellow student. In the end, he had been given detention for the rest of the year as well as banned from quidditch.

It had been later that Severus learned of the curse the older boy had used, which actually had a secondary effect of scrambling the victim's memories of their attacker. However, the idiot had cast it wrong, so the memory alteration failed and did half the damage he had intended. Severus had located the other that summer and obliviated the curse- and several others- from his mind, replacing it with a different dark magic curse that would have left a similar effect though not as powerful. Severus wasn't a master of the mind arts for nothing, after all.

As they observed the Marauders, they could already see that Sirius and James were furiously discussing something while Peter listened in- though they would sometimes send glances at the trio. Remus was keeping an ear on their conversation but was more invested in a conversation with Lily and Mary about upcoming classes. Lily however, kept sending glances at Severus and his new companions, many emotions flickering across her face: Worry, concern, intrigue, confusion, self-conflict, appreciation, and others that none of trio decided to think on. After all, Severus and Harry would be the only ones that would want anything to do with her- not that either of them did after everything they had learned. Especially Severus, as she had already had a chance there when Severus had literally gone and sincerely begged for forgiveness for his mistakes, and she still rejected him. Quite frankly, that ship had sailed and neither cared to chase it.

Finally, thank Merlin, dinner had ended, and the houses were dismissed for the evening. It was finally time to move to the common room.

A/N:

So, some notes! For one, sorry about some of the changes, but I couldn't find many people that were 6th years in the year of 1977 with Sev and the others, or even just at the school when they were. And for the sake of more characters that we know so I don't have to resort to the ultimate sin- in my opinion- OCs or at the very least too many for me to be willing to deal with- so maybe two or three? - I de-aged a couple of them so they could join in on my fun for a year or so. Also, Mulciber has no proper name. so I found one that I liked. One that seemed like it was noble enough for a pure blood. But one unfortunately not lived up too.

Next: the hierarchy system of Slytherin. I've seen many stories that have a system in place, though only a few that have the same depth as what I just dropped, so for the similarities I apologize, but I think it's a thing that's allowed as a couple fan stories that I've read don't have the same authors or any seeming relation with each other. In addition, in the Sorcerer's Stone, the hat says that 'In Slytherin, you'll make your real friends' in his song. SO, I'm going with that wasn't sarcasm, and that Slytherin House has a system in place for protecting the younger years. And that Slughorn put it into play after realizing that Albus was super prejudice despite their friendship or whatever it is between Albus and Horace. Maybe even as a way of redemption for his sins, in hopes of preventing harm to any more Slytherins that come in with difficult back grounds. Like Severus in later years in canon.

I would also like to add that I'm not sure if this will be romance. If it does become romance, it will probably be Sev/Harry/Tom. Though I like the thought of Harry accidently entrancing those around him, almost like a veela but not one. Hence the blushing Lucius. Also, I have Tom and Severus as courteous and protective of Harry for reasons in the 1998 chapter.

Next chapter is the second half of the original prologue A with several changes.

The one after that will be the original prologue B which will hold the reason that has led to Tom, Severus, and Harry all three being in 1977, and why Harry and Severus have a prejudice against Lily now. It will also contain quite a bit on my thoughts on some parts throughout the series. And it's been a while since I've read the books, but I'm still sticking to what I got from the scenes and series in the next chapter. They will be things that have stuck with me even now. Especially since I'm older.

Please leave a review. No flames! Thanks. And have a good time until I return.
