"It can't be...' Tegan said under her breath in awe.

"Miss, what is that?" Jono asked her.

But before she had a chance to enter, the door behind them pushed a little more forward as Clara ran into the closet with them.

"Sorry" Clara said, in a huff, then noticing them, gave an awkward smile, "Great minds"

This caused the both of them to turn around, and notice The Doctor ran in after the girl.

"Right that should hold them for a few minutes, now I've all I've got to do is—"and that's when he turned around to notice Tegan and Jono.

"Oh," he said, "Oh. Hello. You don't happen to just be cleaning out the closet, do you? And if you have what you need, you can just go on your way, nothing important happening"

Tegan raised her eyebrows at the man she thought she vaguely recognised. Could this be him? She knew he changed bodies, but the last time she saw him he was a young blonde man. Clara noticed this look from her, so she spoke up, interrupting The Doctor.

"My name's Clara," she said, putting out her hand, "I'm, uh, one of the substitutes here"

"I've never seen you" Jono pointed out.

"Exactly," Tegan stated sternly, as she walked up to The Doctor, looking in him straight in the face, "Lies"

"What? No" The Doctor denied.

"It's true, I am, maybe you just haven't crossed—"Clara began but Tegan interrupted her.

"Is it you?" Tegan asked The Doctor.

"Me...who?" The Doctor asked.

Tegan simply huffed, and pointed behind her at the TARDIS. The Doctor looked at the TARDIS, then back at Tegan, more carefully this time, and began recoginising her.

"No," he said in disbelief, "No, no"

"What? What is it?" Clara asked.

"Tegan?" The Doctor asked, completely shocked.

"It is you," Tegan said, "Doctor"

"Doctor who?" Jono asked.

"Wait, Tegan?" Clara asked, "As in the stewardess Tegan? The gobby Australian?"

"The what?!" Tegan fumed, glaring at The Doctor.

"Nothing, it's just a thing I said," The Doctor avoided her anger, "No time, the school's being attacked by machinery"

"You don't say" Tegan said sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

"Come on" The Doctor rushed them, grabbing each companion by their shoulder and rushing them towards the TARDIS.

Tegan coughed sternly, and The Doctor looked at her. She moved her eyes toward Jono, who was in a complete blank at what was going on. The Doctor's eyes widened.

"Oh!" He said, "Oh! Right! The little boy!"

He put a hand to his chin, and then looked at Clara.

"You do it, you're a teacher" he told her.

"So am I!" Tegan added.

"You are?!" The Doctor asked.

"Yes! I'm HIS teacher!" Tegan replied.

"Then you do it!" The Doctor told her, "Or Clara. One of you do it, I don't care who, just hurry up!"

And with that, he entered the TARDIS. Tegan and Clara looked at each other.

"You should" Clara said, with a awkward smile, entering the TARDIS herself.

"What's going on, Miss Jovanka?" Jono asked, "Are they part of the prank?"

Tegan simply sighed, running through her mind of how she was going to address the whole situation. She really wished Jono had gone home with the other kids right now.

"They're here to help," Tegan started, "The Doctor is an old friend of mine, and he's really good at fixing things like this"

She thought it would be best not to address if the situation may involve aliens at the moment, she knew how hyperactive Jono could get when he was really excited. She thought it'd be best to let that part drag out.

"So, whatever's happening, he can stop it, and work out who's behind it," she continued, "But right now, he needs us in his...office"

"That's his office?" Jono asked.

"Yes" Tegan lied.

"But it says police box" Jono added.

"What's the first rule of class?" Tegan asked him as she lead him to the doors of the TARDIS.

"Looks can be deceiving" Jono replied monotonously as they both entered the TARDIS.

Jono gazed around at the open space once they were inside, and gaped open.

"Wow!" He said, running up to the console, "This ain't no office, Miss!"

"You're right! It's a spaceship!" The Doctor said.

"No way!" Jono remarked.

"Yes way! Look!" The Doctor told him, showing him something on the console.

Tegan huffed with her arms crossed as Clara walked up to her, arms folded as well.

"Sorry" she said.

"It's okay," Tegan said, looking at The Doctor, "I guess I forgot how he could be at times"

"This one takes a little time to adjust to," Clara added, "He'll come 'round"

"How long have you been with him?" Tegan asked her, noting the "this one" in Clara's sentence.

"Two bodies," Clara said, "Or all of them. Depends on the way you look at it, really"

"What do you mean by that?" Tegan asked, looking at her.

"It's a long story. Complicated" Clara replied.

"It often is," Tegan agreed, "What was he like before? The other one?"

Clara laughed at this question, reminiscing the regeneration before the one she was staring at. The two of them were complete opposites.

"Tall, young, exuberant," she replied, "Had a chin and a really terrible choice in fashion"

"That's not new," Tegan laughed, "My one wore celery"

They both laughed at this, and Tegan gave a large sigh.

"I never thought I'd see him again," she said, "For awhile, I hoped I wouldn't. When I left, we'd just been up against the Daleks. People died. A lot of people. And it dawned on me, that no matter where he goes, there's always some sort of death and destruction, and that wasn't why I stayed. I stayed because travelling with him had started becoming fun, and that day, I realised it stopped. It had stopped being fun. And that danger, and death and destruction, I didn't want that back in my life"

"I'm sorry" is all Clara could manage to say.

"It's okay," Tegan said, "I went back for one last look at the TARDIS. But it was already gone. And when my life resumed as normal, eventually I found myself missing that fun. Normal life could never compare to the kind of fun I had with him on the times that no death occurred. But every time I felt like that, my last day with him would play over and over in my head, reminding myself of what happened. And now here he is"

"Tegan, I understand how you feel," Clara said, putting an arm on Tegan's shoulder, then looking at Jono, " But I promise you, your student is safe"

"Jono," Tegan corrected her, "His name's Jono. I know you've travelled with The Doctor for a long time, but how can you be sure?"

"Because one of my students travelled with us once," Clara told her, "And she is still very much a disruptive influence. An ALIVE disruptive influence"

The two girls shared another laugh at this, as Jono came over and interrupted them.

"Miss, how come you never told us you know a spaceman?!" He asked Tegan.

Tegan gave a huff, as she wiped back a small tear, glaring at The Doctor.

"I'll talk to him" Clara said, but before she could, they heard a loud banging on the TARDIS doors.

"What's that?!" Jono asked, pointing behind the two girls.
