A/N: Fun Fact: I originally wanted to call this chapter "Kana et Kanade" in the rough draft of this part, but since I'm changing a few things around as to not copy the norm, I went with the more fitting title.

That's all I wanted to say. without further ado...Enjoy.

Part 1:
An inevitable disaster approaches, but suddenly...
Chapter 2:
Unexpected reunions.

Kana's POV:
Zwei Wing Concert: Backstage

Kana looked in awe of her surroundings, while not to flashy, still impressive herself, Lilith, and Serena were allowed to be there. "Wow! This is so amazing!" The girl shouted in excitement, "I can't believe you were given not only free tickets to the Zwei Wing concert, Serena, but also passes that allowed us to go backstage!" The other two chuckled, happy to see Kana enjoying herself.

"If anything, I owe it to Kanade and Tsubasa." Serena responded, "I'll have to find a way to pay them back for this, it's only fair."

"Oh come on now, think nothing of it, Serena." A voice replied from behind the group. When they turned to see who was talking to them, the were met with two girls in white cloaks, covering fancy outfits. "Besides, you've helped out a lot at Lydian to a point that this makes us even in my book." The girl chuckled, taking off her hood to properly chat with her friend, revealing her long red hair. The friends greet each other with a hug.

"You're kidding right, Kanade?" Serena nervously laughs at her friend, scratching the back of her head, "I still feel like I owe you both for this." Serena jumps out of the realization she has yet to properly introduce her friends and family to one another, "Oh! That reminds me! Kanade, Tsubasa, this is my mother, Lilith, and my younger sister, Kana. Kana, Lilith, these are my friends Kanade and Tsubasa."

"It's so nice to finally meet you two!" Kana excitedly blurts out, "Serena says a lot of nice things about the two of you. Thank you for being my sister's friends!" Kana respectfully bows to the cloaked girls.

"I give my thanks to you both as well," Lilith says, following Kana's introduction, "It's nice that Serena was able to make such good friends at Lydian."

The group chatted for some time, talking about things at school, daily life, and so on. A moment later, a man in a red suit with spiky red hair comes over to the group, "Kanade! Tsubasa! So this is where you were?" The man says to the duo, before turning his attention to the other three, "So this is your friend and her family that you invited? It's nice to meet you. My name is Genjuro Kazanari." The man bows formally to the three, they bow in return.

"Hey, boss!" Kanade says, "Lemme guess, you're here to tell us how today is really important, right? We already know, so there's no need to worry on our end."

The man smiles at the group, "Just as long as you know. There's a lot riding on today's success after all." Genjuro's phone rings, a younger woman's voice could slightly be heard talking to the man, "Understood. I'll be there in a moment."

"Leave things on the stage to the two of us!" Kanade reassures Genjuro, nodding before heading out. "Speaking of, you three should go get ready as well, since the concert is starting soon and all."

"Break a leg, you two!" Serena says to her friends, before her and her family leave to go to their seats.

Kanade's POV:
Zwei Wing Concert: Backstage

"Just you wait, Serena!" Kanade shouts to her friend, "This'll be a concert you won't forget anytime soon!" She waved to her friend as she left, she then turns to her partner, "Are you nervous, Tsubasa?" she asks, getting a shy nod from her friend. She puts her arm around Tsubasa, "We can leave all of the difficult stuff to boss and Ryoko-san. Meanwhile, let's just focus on having fun out there!" Kanade notices Tsubasa still looking slightly concerned.

"It's just... Ryoko-san and the others are counting on us to do our best out there and-" Tsubasa is stopped by Kanade playfully flicking her forehead.

"You're too serious, Tsubasa." Kanade goes in to hug Tsubasa to help calm her nerves, "You're bound to snap if you take this too seriously." Tsubasa looks to her partner, blushing slightly. "We're partners in this, Tsubasa. When you're worried like this, it's hard for me to enjoy this."

"And if we're not enjoying this, the people who come to see us won't be able to enjoy it either, right?" Tsubasa speaks up, saying what Kanade was thinking.

"Exactly! I knew you'd understand." Kanade says, happy her partner sees what she means.

"I'm sure this will work out as long as we're together out there!" Tsubasa says, Kanade nodding in agreement. "Let's get going then, Kanade."

"Yeah! Let's get out there and show not just, Serena, but everyone who came out today, a concert that'll make history!" The two head for the entrance to the stage. "We're Zwei Wing, two wings that can fly to the ends of the Earth."

"We can overcome anything, together!" Tsubasa adds, taking Kanade's hand, ready to perform.

Kana and Serena's POV:
Zwei Wing Concert

"Thanks for the purchase!" the cashier said, making a sale to Kana, Serena, and Lilith, "Enjoy the show!"

They all thank the lady, but Lilith looks at the lady they just bought Zwei Wing merchandise from, "Paron me, but have we met before? I swear I've met someone that looks almost exactly like you."

The lady shrugs with a smile, "This is the first time I've seen you at least. You must've met one of my sisters, people tend to mix us up a lot."

Lilith nods before giving a respectful bow, "Very well. Have a nice day." she says before heading off to rejoin Kana and Serena to the concert hall, still certain she was the same as another red-haired merchant from her world.

"Your friends seem really pumped for today as much as everyone else here, Serena," Kana remarks as they reach their seats, "I wonder if they're doing something new compared to their other concerts."

"Who knows." Serena said with a shrug, "Though they have acted rather anxious whenever I asked about it at school, so you may be right." They arrive to their seats and waited as many more people came in to take their own seats.

Moments later the concert hall lights dim and the stage lights begin to flash to the beat of the song. The crowd lights up with the light glowing from their individual glow sticks, Serena and her family join the crowd by cracking their own glow sticks. They all start to cheer as a light shines in the middle of the stage, showing the two members of Zwei Wing descending upon it. Their performance leave Kana in awe, their moves, their singing, everything made her more and more excited. Near the song's end, the concert hall's ceiling opens up and forms a set of wings which lit up with the sunset. Once the song ended, the crowd erupted with cheering and applause.

"Wow!" Kana shouted, "Your friends are amazing, Serena!" The elder sister grinned at her, happy she was enjoying the concert.

"We're not done yet, everyone!" Kanade said to the crowd, "There's a lot more show left to go!" As they prepared to start singing their next song, suddenly the stage exploded, injuring nearby civilians.

"Huh? What's going on?" Kana asked aloud, unsure as to why the explosion occurred in the first place. Her question was immediately thrown away as Noise started to suddenly appear throughout the concert's center.

"Something tells me this wasn't supposed to happen." Lilith stated aloud, "Quickly! we need to get out of sight so we can transform and help people escape!" The two siblings nodded in agreement, rushing for an exit. On their way out they heard a song that Kana and Lilith recall hearing one night many years ago.

"Croitzal ronzell Gungnir zizzl"

(Kimi to Iu Oto Kanade Tsukiru Made begins to play)

They ran to a place they couldn't be seen by civilians and quickly transformed before rushing back to the stage. "There are other wielders here?" Lilith said, shocked and confused, "Regardless, we need to get back in there and help them, that many noise can't be easily bested by a single person." Kana and Serena nod in agreement, hurrying to the nearest entrance to the stadium, all while helping any survivors they ran into escape.

When they looked into the stadium, "Is that..." Serena said, seeing two women, one with orange armor the other with blue, "Kanade?! And Tsubasa?!" Serena questioned aloud, recognizing the two who were out fighting the noise. She noticed how she seemed to have trouble fighting and was protecting a girl trying to escape nearby rubble.

"Leave Kanade and the girl to me," Kana said, before bolting straight for Kanade. "You two go help Tsubasa fight the noise." she shouted back to the two who hesitantly nodded before rushing into the fight themselves. Kana ran as fast as she could, slicing down any nearby noise in her way, determined to help Kanade get this girl out of danger. She was just about to reach Kanade, when something no one saw coming happened. Kanade was doing her best to block attacks from several noise, but her weapon and armor were slowly starting to break from the attack.

The pieces of her armor and weapon flung behind her, crashing into the stands. The attacks halted once Kana got close enough to strike down the noise, alongside some other attacks from Lilith and Serena. Kana let out a sigh of relief, but looked to see Kanade with a shocked expression on her face. Kana turned to see what Kanade was looking at and shared the shocked expression of the spearmaiden as she saw the girl she was trying with all her strength to protect be pierced by a stray piece of her armor.

Kanade's POV:
Destroyed Zwei Wing Concert

The two rushed to the girl, who was bleeding profusely from the wound. "Hey, don't die!" Kanade shouted, dropping her weapon to pick up the girl, "Open your eyes! Don't give up on living!" The girl faintly looked toward the two, causing them to be slightly relieved. Kanade noticed the girl in the strange mask place her hand over the injured girl's wound. "What are you doing?" She asked, confused to what she was planning.

"I need to heal her, she'll die if she keeps bleeding like this!" The girl responded.

She looked on as the girl started to conjure a light and Kanade quickly grabbed her hand as to stop her. "Wait! If you heal her, then the shrapnel inside her will kill her slowly but surely overtime." Kanade said, "She may be fine now, but what of the near future? We need to get her to a hospital where she can receive proper care."

The girl stared at her before turning back to the other girl, "Then at least allow me to heal her enough to where she won't die on the way there." Soon after, a small light emerged once again from the masked girl's hand as she placed it over the girl. The light then covered the injured girl's body, causing the bleeding the lessen in intensity, "Take her to a nearby hospital, we'll take care of the rest here," she replied, pointing to the girls fighting alongside Tsubasa in the arena, "I'll tell Tsubasa where you went."

Kanade's attention immediately turned to the girl in silver armor, "Serena?! Wait, why are you asking me to do this?" She asked, several questions in her head.

"Because you're clearly in a state to where you won't be able to fight effectively without hurting yourself. Besides, it's like you told me years ago," saying this, the girl's mask vanished, revealing Serena's younger sister, Kana, "It's better for those who can't fight to help others get away from the battle." Kanade looked at Kana with a shocked expression, remembering four years ago when she said those exact words to a woman and her child, realizing that child was standing before her.

"We'll explain everything, just please take this girl and get her to safety!" Kana pleaded to Kanade, turning back to face the noise. "For now," her mask returned to her face, "we'll finish things here." She then turned to Kanade, engulfing her in a similar light, making her feel refreshed. "That should give you enough strength to make it. Now go!"

Kanade snapped back to her senses, "O-Oh! Right!" She said, grabbing the girl and rushing for the nearest exit. The last thing she saw before leaving was Kana preparing to strike. Seconds later, she rushed at the noise, angered by the destruction they've caused.

Tsubasa's POV:
Destroyed Zwei Wing Concert

Tsubasa was fighting the noise on the other side of the stadium, overwhelmed by the noise, fearing her seemingly inevitable end, when suddenly the noise around her started to turn to dust, revealing two girls, one with a mask, the other with silver armor similar to hers "You alright, Tsubasa?" the silver armored girl asked, coming out of the smoke to reveal her friend from Lydian, Serena.

"Serena?! You're a..." She was about to ask, she she suddenly realized a certain person missing from the area, "Wait! Where's Kanade?"

Kana removed her mask, "Don't worry," She said, Tsubasa shocked to see Serena's younger sister was also a wielder, "She's taking a girl that got impaled by a piece of her armor that flew off when she was overwhelmed by noise to get medical aid." Hearing this, Tsubasa and Serena looked at Kana with shock. "For now, let's take care of the noise so we can go meet up with her."

With that, the girls nodded, running in different directions to best the noise as fast as they could. With the three other wielders helping her, Tsubasa made quick work of the noise. Once the dust settled and no more noise were seen in the area, she met up with the others. "Thank you for your assistance." Tsubasa bowed, showing her gratitude for not only defeating the noise, but helping Kanade escape before she could be killed. "However, I must ask for your assistance yet again to help me find the Commander and the others." The three looked confused at first, before thinking about the man that was with them before the concert started, agreeing to help.

Kanade's POV:
Hospital

The door slammed open, revealing a girl in a fancy outfit holding a girl who was bleeding out of her chest. "I need help here!" Kanade shouted, "There was a noise attack and this girl was injured by shrapnel of an explosion! Please save her!" She desperately pleaded, being met with multiple doctors rushing to their aid, taking both girls to the emergency wing of the hospital.

"Quickly, take her to the operating room!" One of the doctors shouted before fixing his attention to the red haired lady, "What about you, are you hurt? Please come with me."

The doctor tried to take her to another part of the hospital to check her injuries, but was pushed away by Kanade, "Forget about me! Any injuries I may have are nothing compared to hers." Kanade then rushed to the gurney that the girl was placed on, "Will she be alright? Tell me she'll make it!" she pleaded with the doctors, before others came to calm her down.

"Please ma'am, calm down!" one of the nurses said, grabbing onto Kanade, "We need you to stay here while we perform the surgery."

Kanade eased up on her thrashing about and the doctors let go, "Alright." she said, taking a deep breath, "Just, please save her." she calmly asked the doctors, receiving a nod before rushing off to join the ones with the gurney as the door shut behind them. She fell to her knees when the room emptied and slammed her fist on the floor. "Dammit! If only I was stronger, this wouldn't have happened." She thought to herself. "Although," she said, instantly turning her thoughts towards Kana, "If it hadn't been for Serena and her younger sister, who knows what I would've done." after a moment, she picked herself up and went to a nearby chair. "I might as well wait to hear back from the doctors. Tsubasa and the others might be out looking for me too, I imagine."

Before long, Kanade began to pace about, waiting restlessly for hours for anything about that girl's condition. when her attention suddenly turned to a girl in a similar fancy dress rushing to her, "Kanade!" Tsubasa shouted, embracing her friend in a hug. "Thank goodness you're okay!" Kanade smirked, patting her partner on the head. Her attention immediately turned to the group that followed behind Tsubasa. "Boss! Everyone! I figured you'd be okay, but it's good to see you're all still kickin'" she said, chuckling to herself.

"Thankfully after the noise were dealt with, Tsubasa, your friend Serena, and her family helped us out from the debris, Lilith-san actually helped us recover our wounds." Genjuro said, pointing to Lilith who respectfully curtseyed when she was mentioned. "They filled us in on why you came here, we'll settle everything with the hospital once they're finished with the surgery."

As if to answer, a man came out from the emergency room doors, "Are you the lady that brought in the girl?" he said, pointed to Kanade, who nodded in reply. "We're just about finished with the surgery, but there's some bad news." This brought a worried look to both Kana and Kanade's faces, "We were able to remove a good amount of the shrapnel from her body. However, some pieces of it are extremely close to her heart to the point that, if removed, could be fatal."

Genjuro stepped forward, "Is she in a stable condition?" he asked the man.

"Yes, but she may have to stay a couple days to properly recover." He replied, easing everyone's worry.

"You all head on back, Ryoko-kun and I can take care of it from here." Genjuro signaled to the group as they all went back to the base, leading Serena and her family there as well.

"Please come with us, you three," a man with brown hair, wearing a suit asked the trio, "we wish to ask you some things regarding the concert"

Kana's POV:
Sector Two HQ

The group arrived at their destination, which was immediately met with confusion from Serena. "Lydian? Why are we here, Ogawa-san?" she asked the man who escorted them and the others.

"You shall see, we are almost to the base." He replied. The group continued into the teacher's wing of the school, where they entered an elevator with rather large handrails. "I suggest you hold on." he said, grabbing the railing as well. Before anyone could question anything, they grabbed onto the railing and suddenly the elevator started to descend below the school, revealing a strange underground tapestry before reaching their destination.

"Now then," Ogawa continued, "while we wait for Genjuro and Dr. Sakurai, please feel free to make yourself at home" He turned to see the three a bit shaken from the elevator's speedy drop. He chuckled slightly, "Don't worry, you'll get used to it after a while."

While they waited for the others to arrive, everyone took the time to get to know each other better with proper introductions and pleasantries, saving the more important questions for the commander and doctor. After a couple hours, they enter the main room. "We're back!" Dr. Sakurai cheerfully shouts.

"Heya Boss, Sakurai-san!" Kanade replies, "So, how's the kid doing?"

"They should make a full recovery." Genjuro answers, revealing a bag with shards of Kanade's Gungnir, "However, like the doctor said before you left, not all of the pieces were able to be recovered since they were too close to the heart to recover without possibly killing her." The group, mostly Kana and Kanade were relieved to hear she'd be fine.

"Worry not, Kanade-chan," Sakurai speaks up, "while we don't have all the fragments of your gear, we have enough to repair it for you to fight again."

Hearing this, Kanade looks down at her symphogear relic, slightly shattered from the battle, "I didn't really worry too much on that front to be completely honest. But thanks Sakurai-san." she replies.

"With that out of the way," Genjuro turns to Kana, Serena, and Lilith, "There's a few things I'd like to ask you three." This makes the trio a bit nervous, curious as to what he is implying, "No need to worry. The questions are more about odd occurrences over the past four years with mysterious aufwachen waveforms appearing and reappearing. With your involvement in destroying the noise at the concert today, it seemed reasonable to believe these signatures belonged to you. We only wish to see if your relics match the ones we've been picking up."

Hesitant at first, the three agree to let the people of sector two do their research, quickly transforming to allow the scanners to detect their relic's waveforms. A wave of surprise fell over the room, "So after all these years, we've finally found them." Ryoko happily cheers. the three are confused as they changed back into their normal forms, "While it wasn't our top priority, we've been trying to search for three relics that appeared and rapidly vanished. As it so happens, you three match the search."

"To think, we've all met before knowing this," Kanade says, "Gotta say, wouldn't have expected someone your age to be a wielder, yet here we are." Kana chuckled at the compliment.

The next few moments were spent with the three explaining their relics (Yato, Fólkvangr, and Airgetlám) while they talked about theirs (Ame no habakiri and Gungnir). "It seems we both share a common goal in protecting the people from the noise." Genjuro states, "With that in mind, I wish to ask for your aid here at sector two. Will you join us?" Lilith and Serena, after thinking to themselves, agree to this idea. On the other hand, Kana is more hesitant to answer. "Kana-kun? Is everything alright?"

Kana looks up at Genjuro, slight worry on her face, "I'd love to help, don't get me wrong. It's just..."

"You're worried about that other girl aren't you?" Kanade interrupts, knowing where Kana was going with her statement. Kana nods to Kanade.

Genjuro, seeing her worry, makes a realization, "She did seem to look around your age, so I imagine you've seen her at your school." Kana nods again. Genjuro gives her a warm smile. "I'm sure your family, as well as Kanade and Tsubasa, should be more than enough to handle the noise for now. If you feel like you need to help her for a bit, go right ahead. We're more than welcome to assist as needed."

This makes Kana cheer up, "Thank you so much Genjuro-san!" she says, bowing respectfully, "I promise I'll join you all here at sector two when I'm a bit older, but for now, I want to do what I can to help her." Everyone in the room smiles, before they all part ways for the night.

Hibiki's POV:
School

A few days have passed since the incident at the Zwei Wing concert, an event that was rather hazy in Hibiki's mind. All she could remember were two figures that were responsible for saving her: A red haired girl who looked similar to one of the singers and a younger person in an odd looking mask. "I'm curious as to why you haven't just killed yourself." A voice brings her back to reality, the students of her class began to harass her for surviving the tragedy, "You killed all of those people." A stack of newspapers were on her desk, reading things such as "What caused the disaster?" and "Surviving Families Rage."

The harassment continued, "You didn't know?" another student remarked, "If you're even just injured by the noise, you receive money from the government. It's called 'Special Disaster Compensation.'" A group of students started to talk amongst themselves, "That's Mom and Dad's tax money, right?" They thought aloud, "No wonder she's happy, even after all those deaths. What a waste."

"Tell me," The chatter stopped as everyone turned their attention to the door. A student with medium length silver hair walked into the room, an annoyed expression on her face, "How would you be any different in her situation?" The girl walked towards Hibiki, standing in front of her to face the other students. "Do you think you would be treated exactly as you are treating her right now?" She continued, "Of course not, because you've never had to experience a situation like hers." she scoffed, clearly showing disgust at her fellow students.

This gets the students chatting amongst themselves again, "What's up with Kamui-chan?" one of the students asked their friend, "Why is she defending this thief?" Another student joined in, "What would she even know of her situation?" They added, "She's probably just defending her for attention."

Normally, a comment like that wouldn't get under her skin. But this time, in this situation, it irked her immensely. "If I really wanted attention that badly, why didn't I do so the day after the concert?" she rhetorically asked, "I was there too, but I guess it's not as big of a deal as long as I'm not injured and taking 'Mom and Dad's precious tax money' isn't it?" This remark caused the students to get quiet, returning to their desks and ignoring the girl and Hibiki. "Some people..." she thought to herself aloud sitting down in a desk close to Hibiki, "sorry about all that, I just couldn't stand by and let that happen to you."

Hibiki gives a shy smile to the girl, "T-Thanks. I'm Hibiki Tachibana, though I guess you already know that with the news and all..." she looks down at the newspapers on her desk, "You really didn't have to do that."

"Like I said, I couldn't just sit there and let that happen. While I have seen the news, I couldn't help but feel bad for you while everyone else were quicker to anger than compassion." Hibiki could tell she was being honest. "Oh! where are my manners. My name is Kana Kamui. I hope we can be friends."

"It's great to meet you, Kana-chan." Hibiki replies, "I'd be happy to be your friend." Hibiki smiled, Kana doing the same in return, "I'll have to introduce you to the others, I'm sure they'll be happy to be your friend too."

Kana chuckled, "I'd love to." she replied. While the harassment continued for the next couple of years, Hibiki did the best she could to get through the pain with help from her friends, her mother and grandmother, as well as her new friend Kana. With their support, the next two years seemed to just fly by.

Two years later:
Lydian Private Music Academy

"I'll be sure to keep in touch! I love you!" Hibiki said, waving goodbye to her mother before she drove off to return home, wishing Hibiki the best at her new school. She took a moment to take it all in, amazed by how the school looked.

"Quite the view, isn't it, Hibiki?" A voice called out from behind her. When she looked where the voice came from, she was met by her best friend since they were kids, Miku Kohinata.

"It sure is Miku." Hibiki responded, "I just know the next few years are going to be ones to remember." Miku smiled to her friend, happy to see her enthusiasm get the better of her.

"Hibiki! Miku!" A voice called out, this one belonging to their friend Kana, who was followed by their other friends: Yumi, Shiori, and Kuriyo. "What took you two so long?" she playfully teased her friends.

"You two probably got stuck in traffic, did you?" Shiori asked

"Or maybe they tried to arrive late to make a dramatic entrance like anime characters!" Yumi added.

Kuriyo shrugged, "Whatever the reason, Bikki and Hina are here now, and really, that's all that matters." A statement everyone could agree on.

"Speaking of," Hibiki said, turning her attention towards Kana, "your older sister used to go here, right Kana-chan?"

Kana nodded, "Sure did! She even put in a good word for me, too." she replied, "Though, I'm sure I would've still gotten in regardless thanks to my grades." It was no secret Kana looked up to her sister, so she did her best in school to be here.

The group chat amongst themselves for a bit, catching up on what each other has been up to, living arrangements, etc. Before long, Miku spoke up, "We should get going to our dorm," Miku gestured to the luggage herself and Hibiki had, "we still need to unpack."

"I can help with that," Kana suggested, "Our dorms are rather close, so it wouldn't be of any bother since it's right there anyway."

"Thanks Kana-chan!" Hibiki replied, then turning to the others, "I guess we'll see you later then, you guys." The three waved as their friends went on to unpack in their dorms as well. With that, they went to their dorms to prepare for the next few years of their lives, and whatever life will throw at them.

A/N: Aaaaand... done! (I swear each chapter just gets longer than the other...)

Before I finish up, I just wanted to add a few notes on Lilith's relic, Fólkvangr. I basically decided to base it off Alfonse from Fire Emblem Heroes, who wields a sword of the same name. In short, it allows its user to create portals and teleport short distances. The main difference Fólkvangr has compared to Kana's teleporting is that Kana needs some time to charge before teleporting while Fólkvangr's teleportation is instant. I'm saying this now because I plan to have Kana's Yato looked at more in the story than Lilith's Fólkvangr. (It'll make sense later on).

As for why this chapter is a bit longer than the others: I wanted to try and get all of the Concert tragedy and some events before they all arrive at Lydian out of the way as to not have it take up 2-3 chapters. Hopefully the chapters should be closer in size to chapter 1 for now (Keyword: Hopefully).

With all of that out of the way, thank you for reading, and I'll see you in the next chapter!
