Neb: I do not own Beyblade, Beyblade Burst, or any other titles of Beyblade. This chapter is about my OC Domori Venger as he travels farther and closer to facing off against his sister Sin. He and Valt had just landed in Japan and are on their way to take up the challenge Sin had laid out for Domori. Though he has a few scores to settle first before we move on to that battle. Domori and Sin had been letting Dark Resonance control them in the past couple chapters unaware of the greater form of resonance that people like Shu, Valt, and Aiger can tap into. This story has been more about Sin and I might in the future do a separate story where Domori is more of the focus, perhaps taking place in the future seasons of Beyblade. Gamma, Sparking, Quadstrike. Anyways for now I hope you all enjoy the story.
Domori and Valt headed to the official beyblade stadium.
"So this is where the tournament will be held," Domori assessed.
"That's right Valt's curious friend," a blonde boy wearing purple spoke up. "This is where our next big event will be held from those who wish to take Aiger Akabane's crown."
"Oh hey Wakiya," Valt greeted. "How long has it been man?"
"Not too long," Wakia stated. "You sure gave me the slip after Aiger beat you and ran back to Spain."
"Oh well it was to train," Valt explained. "It wasn't anything personal."
"It's ok buddy," Wakiya grinned. "I know how your always on the move looking for the next challenge. Speaking of witch, does he have anything to do with that?"
Domori pointed at himself. "You mean me?"
"There's no one else here," Wakiya reitterated.
"Oh this is Domori Venger," Valt explained. "He's a blader I met in Spain."
"Domori Venger huh," Wakiya responded as he scratched his head. "Sounds familiar." He snapped his finger when it came to him. "Oh right, the one who's sister had been openly challenging him this whole time. I was actually thinking about invititing you two into the tournament."
"I don't really do events," Domori stated.
"Well you do now," Wakiya grinned.
A sweat drop formed on Valt's head. "You can't decide that yourself Wakiya," Valt stated.
"It'll be great to see your comeback after the last local tournament you were in," Wakiya added.
Valt turned to Domori surprised. "I thought you said you stayed away from tournaments?"
"Well... there was that one," Domori admitted. "Though I was injured before I could finish. Anyways I'm not a ranked blader anymore, so I don't think you can accept me in your tournament."
"But you are a ranked blader," Wakiya pointed out.
Domori was now staring at him shocked. "How? When?"
"Well you can thank Valt for that one," Wakiya stated.
Valt laughed nervously as Domori turned his head to him.
"I mean he lost to you in Spain and registered that loss on the blader's log," Wakiya explained.
"Your kidding," Domori facepalmed. "Valt, I never said that was an official battle."
"It sure felt like one," Valt admitted. "Besides, what's the harm, that means you can face your sister in the tournament. You've also been wanting a shot a Lui and Aiger, they'll probably be there also."
"That is true," Wakiya admitted. "Actually Lui was very interested in facing against you."
The two of them turned their heads in surprise towards Wakiya.
"He was complaining that the tournament was a waiste of his time when I invited him," Wakiya stated. "I noted to him that Valt and Shu would be there, which he shrugged off. Then I went down the list of bladers, Hyde, Norman, Norman's new team the Blade Blasters. Then I mentioned you and he accepted."
Domori stared at Mighty Draconids after hearing that.
"Lui really wants to face you that badly huh," Valt laughed. "That's amazing!"
"Given our last battle was interrupted," Domori stated. "I can't say I was too surprised."
Wakiya and Valt turned to Domori listening to him.
"I... Let's just say that my final round in the competive Beyblade scene wasn't like what people had heard," Domori sighed. "I went out and faced Lui, but I faced him with an injury. He did not count his victory because of that. He claimed he would have blown my Quality Drake away even if I was at my strongest. His next opponent was my former captain Wasuke, but Lui had left before they even got a chance to face each other."
"Oh Wasuke is one of the people on Normen Tarver's team," Wakiya pointed out. "So those two have beef also."
"Yeah," Domori sighed. "They have beef alright. At that local tournament three Beyblasters made it to the semifinals along with Lui Shirosagi. I was to face Lui, and Wasuke was facing off against Doza and his Dropdown Grilla. Wasuke being our team captain order Doza and I to forfeit so he could face off against Lui faster, to wich Doza agreed to so fast it made me sick."
"You didn't agree," Wakiya figured.
"No I worked hard to get there," Domori growled. "Boring battle after boring battle, I made my way up to facing Lui. Finally there was a challenger who's battle aura surpassed anyone I had ever seen. He wasn't the blader I was looking for, but the challenge that I needed. Wasuke told me if I didn't quit I was off the team, so I threw my jacket in his face and got ready for the semifinals."
"You must have put up an impressive fight though," Wakiya grinned. "You got Lui of all people wanting to face you again."
Domori shook his head. "Quality Drake's defense was perfect, I absolutely upgraded that bey until it's defense stat was maxed out and Lui still tore through it like it was nothing. Then it started raining. The tournament took place outside so I wasn't able to finish the first fight. Lui told me I better not run away and that stuck with me. The battle had been moved to the following day."
"But you had injured yourself," Valt realized.
"I got locked in my mom's walkin refrigerator back at her resteraunt," Domori grunted. "I don't know how it happened, but I was going to be late for the tourmanet. The thought of Lui laughing at me for running away burned itself into my mind. I gave up on my friends to face him, so I just kept punching away at the refrigerator door." The dark aura krept up on Domori once more as he remembered himself being locked in the refrigerator. Eventually one of my mom's employees found me and let me out. I rushed to the stadium, but I couldn't even hold a launcher. Lui told me that facing me as I was would be a waist of time."
"That sucks that that happened man," Valt admitted. "I'm sorry you had to go through that."
"I couldn't blade anymore, but I did take note that no matter what I did with Quality Drake, I would never be able to match Lui's attack power with it's defense."
"Speak for yourself," Wakiya wagged his finger. "Defense beys are the strongest ones out there."
Valt chuckled at his friend before turning back to Domori.
"I thought like that once as well," Domori smiled. "Back when strategy and upgrades mattered most to me. But ever since I missed that tournament, I only wanted to be able to punch my opponents with my blade. So I designed my Mighty Draconids to be the ultimate attack type. While I was working on that Bey I wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking Stamina. So I designed to Stamina blades and gave them to some friends I was training. They were going to be my new arms while I was injured. I had Lui face off against them over and over until I was satisfied. I was sure I would have lost if I face Lui in that tournament. Speed didn't cut it and neither did strength. No matter how many resources I poured into their blades, my two pupils couldn't beat Lui."
"So let me guess," Wakiya groaned. "You ditched them afterwards."
"I didn't ditch them!", Domori yelled. "I... wait a minute, what did I do with them."
Valt and Wakiya fell over from surprise.
"Are you serious?", Wakiya yelled. "You don't forget about your friends like that!"
"I didn't forget about them," Domori waved his arms. "I just felt as though they'd learn a lot more by themselves. I showed them the basics and trained them until they were on my level at the time, it's now up to them to surpass me after that."
"Let's calm down here guys," Valt waved his hands. "So what's the deal with your sister? Why did she quit beyblade?"
"She thought it was boring," Domori stated. Wakiya and Valt sort of scowled after that. "I don't mean to be so blunt about it, but she really did lose interest once she realized she couldn't win. It pisses me off when people are like that. The moment something becomes hard instead of growing stronger they give up or even worse tell their opponent to take it easy. That's why I left the Beyblasters, they tried to get in my way the moment I was getting stronger." Domori stared at the ground as his fist clenched around Mighty Draconids. Then he loosened his grip and headed into the arena. "I'm sorry, I got worked up."
"He got so serious all of a sudden," Wakiya pointed out.
"He has a couple different sides to himself," Valt smiled.
Wakiya looked to Valt confused.
"That right there is Domori's serious side. He doesn't act like that when he's talking about constructing beys, he's a little bit more loose then that. Not too mention when he was facing me he seemed more analytical. But wouldn't it be an interesting battle though, if I got to face every single side of Domori?"
"Your really something else Valt," Wakiya admitted.
