Part 3:
Believe in your justice and follow the path it creates
Chapter 11:
A Father's Gift

Aoi's POV:
S.O.N.G. HQ

Once the shockwaves that rocked the ship from the monster's attack on the hull of HQ, Aoi was the first of the agents wake up to see the resulting destruction. She saw that everyone was unconscious and thankfully unharmed. Well... Almost everyone. "Elfnein-chan!"

Elfnein looked Aoi in the eyes and weakly smiled. "I wasn't being controlled by anyone..." She said before passing out in the agent's arms.

As Aoi tried to wake Elfnein up again, Kirika and Shirabe walked in while Kana and Chris warped in nearby, all of which were in shock at the sight of the alchemist's bloodied dress. "No..."

"What happened dess?!" Kirika asked.

"She needs first aid, quick!" Shirabe stated.

Kana snapped out of her shock at Shirabe's request. "I'll find Lilith!" Kana said, immediately running off to find her while the others tried to wake up Elfnein.

Hibiki's POV:
In the city

While the other wielders' battles have ended, it was time for Hibiki's to begin: the battle of confronting her father. That morning, she called her father and had him meet her at a restaurant in town, to which the former ordered something to eat before discussions could begin. "Sorry, I was hungry." Hibiki's father said.

Hibiki nods quietly, still slightly unsure if this was a good idea. But as those doubts start to creep in, she looks down at her phone and reads the message Miku sent her once again.

"It's okay. Everything's alright."

With this, Hibiki takes a deep breath before speaking to her father. "Um... Dad..." She says.

"What's up?" He asked.

"Do you really want to start over with mom?" Hibiki asks.

At this question, Hibiki's father gets excited. "Of course... If you talk to her first, I'm sure she'll-"

"If that's so..." Hibiki interrupts. "You should take the first step yourself. You're the one who ran out, so you need to be the one who starts the process of coming back..."

As Hibiki said this, her father sat back down in his seat. "I don't want to do that." He said. "...I'm scared, you know? And more than anything, I have my pride as a man."

"I wanted to start over, which is why I worked up the courage to even see you." Hibiki says, which shocked her father to hear. "So you need to have courage, too!"

"But I just... I can't do it alone." Hibiki's father admitted.

Hearing her father's cowardice, considering all of the things she had to do just to survive the hell she had to live in after the concert tragedy, Hibiki was disappointed. "You aren't my dad anymore..." She says. "Once a family's been broken, it can't go back to the way it was."

As much as he wanted to make things right, Hibiki's father just couldn't muster the right words to do so, eventually giving up and looking outside. As he gazed into the sky, it suddenly cracked like glass, revealing a strange void on the other side. "Wh-What is that?" He asked.

Hibiki looked outside to see what her father was seeing and became equally surprised. "The sky split?" She gasps as a strange building descends from the void above the sky, fearing the worst of her and S.O.N.G.'s last battle with Carol was approaching fast.

Ver and Carol's POVs:
Château de Tiffauges

"The World Destructor System is set up." Dr. Ver announces to Carol, his Nephilim arm attached to a control panel in the middle of the throne room. "I've set all of the Château's functions to auto-drive mode." Seconds later, he removes his arm from the panel and starts to laugh. "Well? My left arm doesn't need Trigger Parts! Any relic I connect to can be controlled in any way I wish!"

"The Autoscorers have brought all of the cursed melodies together. Now the world will be shattered into pieces." Carol says, which confuses the doctor.

"Huh? You want to shatter the world?" Ver asks.

Carol nods at his question. "That is the problem left to me by my father." She answers, hearing his final words echo in her mind.

"Carol... Live, and know more of the world."

"I know! That's why I'm going to rip apart the world. If I dissect and analyze it, I can understand all things!" Carol says, suddenly shifting her tone for a brief moment.

"So in other words, ultimate knowledge?" Ver asks. "Very well, my lady. What will you do with that knowledge?"

"Nothing." Carol answers, confusing the doctor again. "The problem my father left me was to understand the world's mysteries. Nothing more."

Ver facepalms himself as Carol said this. "You have no dreams, my lady?" Ver asks. "A hero has endless amounts of dreams, and shares those dreams with others! If you let yourself be satisfied with only those you've been given, you'll never reach your full potential!"

Carol scoffs at Ver. "'Only', you said?"

Chris' POV:
S.O.N.G. HQ

After some time, all of the agents who were knocked out by the shockwave of the monster's attack woke up again. As everyone worked to get power running on the ship again, Lilith was doing what she could to treat Elfnein's wounds. "Is she going to be okay, Lilith?" Kana asked.

"Her condition should be stable for the moment, but she will need to be sent somewhere with proper medical equipment as soon as possible." Lilith said. "Until that happens, I will keep a close eye on her in the event her injuries start to worsen."

While the wielders and agents were worried for Elfnein, they had no choice but to place their faith in Lilith to keep her alive long enough to hopefully find proper medical help. "What is the status on our power?" Genjuro asked, changing the subject.

"Power should be back on shortly, sir!" Sakuya reported. Seconds later, the monitors lit up once more, but an alert soon followed.

On the front monitor, camera footage of the sky breaking and a building descending through the crack was shown. "Is that..."

"The Château de Tiffauges..." Elfnein faintly answers, which sends a chill down everyone present.

"Tomosato! Fujitaka! Full speed ahead!" Genjuro ordered. "We need to get in touch with the other wielders and have them rendezvous with us as soon as possible!"

"According to our radar, Hibiki-chan is already right next to the Château!" Aoi said. "I'll start working on getting in touch with her and Tsubasa-san's group!"

"Kana-kun, take the others and go evacuate the civilians!" Genjuro ordered. "Once everyone's been evacuated, meet up with Hibiki-kun and help her deal with Carol, should she show herself before your arrival!"

"Got it!" Kana nodded, taking Kirika, Shirabe, and Chris' hands and warping away.

In the city

Once they arrived, Chris, Kirika, and Shirabe donned their Gears, but were quick to notice Kana wasn't taking her eyes off of the Château. "Hey, you good Kana?" Chris asks.

After an awkward amount of time waiting for an answer from Kana, she finally spoke. "I'm going after Ver and Carol-chan."

The girls were surprised by this. "The hell are you thinking, Kana?!" Chris asks.

"Since she has willingly shown the Château, I fear that she'll use whatever the hell that thing's capable of at any moment." Kana said. "But, if I can go in there alone, I might just be able to destroy the Château from within and stop Carol-chan's plans before she even realizes I'm there."

"Alone?!" Kirika exclaimed. "But you'll be outnumbered in there dess!"

"I would agree, Kirika-chan, had the Autoscorers not been destroyed already." Kana said. "With them gone, only Carol-chan remains, and I highly doubt Ver will be a problem even with his arm. All I have to do is destroy the Château without them noticing me, retreat and meet up with everyone, and we finish off Ver and Carol-chan as a group. It's foolproof!"

"It's suicide is what it is!" Chris retorts. "In case you forgot, that brat was able to take on myself and Senpai with ease. Even if that bastard doesn't do shit, you would still be at a disadvantage by yourself."

"Not to mention, Kana-senpai, that is Carol's base." Shirabe stated. "Only Elfnein-chan has any idea about what it's like in there, and who's to say Carol didn't set up defenses Elfnein-chan wouldn't know about after she left?"

"You'd be walking into a possible trap, Kana-sama!" Kirika added.

"Even if that's true, I have to try and do what I can to slow her down, no matter how dangerous it may be." Kana said.

"Goddammit Kana! Why are you so insistent on such a risky plan?!" Chris shouts. "I'll admit, I was reckless in the Palace, trying to fight them off on my own so you all wouldn't have to fight, but this ridiculous! What in the hell do you hope to accomplish by trying this stupid plan? Wha-"

Before Chris could finish, Kana did something none of the other wielders present expected: Kana rushed over to Chris and shut her up with a sudden kiss on the lips, one that stunned all of them into silence. "Much like yourself, there are some things I can't afford to lose." Kana said upon breaking away from the kiss. "I'm well aware that there may be traps in there. That's why it's best for me to go alone, because I would rather not sit there and watch someone I care about more than words could express die from some trap I couldn't protect them from."

Chris was bright red in the face, still in shock from Kana's sudden kiss. "K-Kana..."

"I love you, Chris Yukine, that's why I need to do this, for you and everyone else that's counting on us." Kana said, turning to walk away from the group. "If I'm not back before the others show up, find an opening to come into the Château to help me."

Without another word, Kana disappeared from sight. But while the Zababa duo were worried for their senpai/princess, Chris could only smile and shed tears of joy from what Kana said. "What're you two standing around for?! We have a job to do!" Chris shouts, which startled the Zababa duo into action. As they ran off to help with the evacuation, Chris looked back at the Château once more before joining her Kouhai. "Good luck, Kana."

In the Château de Tiffauges

Once she teleported away from the others, Kana found herself in an odd but familiar hallway. "It's just like in my dream." She states aloud. "Now then, let's find this thing's core and end this nightmare!"

"Oh, but your nightmare's just begun, dear Kana." A strange, yet familiar voice called out to her.

"Who's there!" Kana shouts into the hall, frantically looking from the owner of that voice. "Show yourself!"

"Very well." The voice replied, being followed by footsteps that increased in volume as they approached.

Once they were close enough, Kana finally saw who was talking to her, and she was horrified by what she saw. "Just like my dream..."

Hibiki and her father's POVs:
In the city

Back in the restaurant, Hibiki received a call which she did not hesitate to pick up. "Yes?"

"Hibiki-chan!" Aoi said over the line. "Communications are back on-line."

"I'll be brief... Carol's carefully laid plan has entered its final stages." Genjuro told his student, which shocked Hibiki. "On top of that, Elfnein-kun was wounded in an enemy attack. Lilith-kun is keeping a close eye on her, but she will need advanced medical care as soon as possible."

"I-I'm fine..." Elfnein's voice faintly said over the phone. "So please, let me stay here."

"Elfnein-chan!"

"We're heading to Tokyo as fast as we can go. Once all of the wielders are assembled, we'll launch our counterattack." Genjuro said. "Until then..."

"Understood. I'll help with the evacuation to prevent further damage." Hibiki says, finishing the call to do as ordered, starting with her father. "Dad, we need to evacua-" ...Only to find him filming the Château with his phone.

"What would someone have to do to sell videos like this to TV stations?" Hibiki's father asks aloud.

Meanwhile in the Château

"You dare to refer to the grand mission bequeathed to me by my father as merely 'dreams'?" Carol asks, insulted by Ver's disregard for her mission.

"I did, yes." Ver says. "In fact, if you're acting like this, I don't know if you can even solve this 'problem' of yours."

"What?"

"Only a hero can exceed the universe's boundaries and attain ultimate knowledge! And a lady the size of an elementary school girl is far too small to be considered a hero!" Ver continues. "I guess I really am the only hero in the world. No one is my equal! It's really me. I'll be a hero."

"And do what?" Carol asks.

"Of course, for humanity's sake, I shall go beyond good and evil, and control the Château de Tiffauges-" While Ver was too busy spouting off his plans, he failed to notice Carol summoning her Dur da Blá harp before she plunged it through his back. "Oh, dear..."

"The ravings of a madman." Carol simply states. "A loon such as yourself could never become a hero." Carol then rips the harp from Ver's back and blasts him towards the railing at the end of the room.

Processing the wound and all of the blood flowing from it, Ver's once prideful expression was replaced with one of horror and anger. "Y-You shouldn't use... An instrument like that..." He lectures.

"The Château has been activated, and the world-dissection program is running automatically." Carol states as she walks up to the heavily wounded Ver, Dur da Blá still in her hand. "Thanks for your help, Dr. Ver. But your services are no longer required!"

"Don't do it!" He begs. But the alchemist did not care for his life any longer, bringing her harp down to finish him off, barely missing Ver as he fell over the ledge of the room, his scream echoing as he fell.

"I dispatched him slightly earlier than planned, huh?" Carol says to herself, before a sharp pain shoots through her body. "I won't stop. All obstacles to the plan must be eliminated."

Back in the city, Hibiki is giving her father a judgmental glare at the expense of his carefree nature. "I guess I shouldn't do it, huh?"

"Stop messing around, Dad!" Hibiki lectures.

"Oh? That's your father?" A familiar voice called out to Hibiki.

"Hibiki! Someone's floating in the sky!" Hibiki's father says in surprise.

Having turning around to see who was talking to her, Hibiki could only stare in surprise, seeing someone, who she watched die right before her eyes, alive and well. "Carol-chan?!"

"I wanted to start the apocalypse with your screams, so I've forged this body here, though I'm still unused to it." Carol said.

"So, that is yours then?" Hibiki asks, referring to the floating building behind Carol.

"Indeed. It is my castle, the Château de Tiffauges." Carol confirmed. "And the dissection device that uses the Alca-Noise to dissect the world."

"The world..." Hibiki thought aloud. "Just like you mentioned before, right?"

"Back then, you whined about being unable to fight." Carol stated in return. "Tell me, do you still feel the same way?"

As if to answer, Hibiki went to pull out her pendant to transform, but Carol was not about to let that happen. Without hesitation, Carol fired a burst of wind at Hibiki, knocking the pendant out of her hands and down the street. "My Gear!"

"I will not allow you to touch your Gear!" Carol shouted. "I shall take up the mission left to me by my father. And with it, I shall stand against the world!"

"Your father left to you..." Hibiki repeats quietly, trying her best to not show weakness in the face of her foe.

"Everyone should have something like that."

"I've got nothing..." Hibiki says, her sorrow breaking through her calm façade. "He never gave me anything."

"If you have nothing, then you won't be able to endure this!" Carol shouted, firing a massive gale of wind at the despondent Gungnir wielder.

Despite the imminent danger, Hibiki made no attempt to dodge, but someone unlikely came to her rescue: Her father, who pulled her out of the way of the attack. "Hibiki! Hey, Hibiki!"

Wasting no time, Carol prepared another attack and aimed it towards Hibiki once again. "I shall start this world's dissection with you." She said.

Horrified by the threat of another attack, Hibiki's father got up and ran away from Carol. "Please don't hurt me! This is insane!" He shouts as Hibiki looked on, seeing once again the man that left her family after the infamous tragedy.

Carol laughed as she shot at Hibiki's fleeing father. "He ran! He abandoned his daughter, stopped caring, and ran away!" She said.

Eventually, one of the shots landed close enough to Hibiki's father that it knocked him to the ground, giving Carol the chance to descend to toy with him further. "Stay back! Stay back!" He pleads as he picked up a stone, threw it near Carol, and started to run again.

"Your father's one heck of a guy, huh?" Carol taunted as she continued her barrage of attacks. "Even at the end, running away was the last thing on my father's mind!"

"Hibiki! Run away now!" Hibiki's father calls out to her. "If I want to fix our family, I need you there!"

Once again, one of Carol's blasts landed close enough to Hibiki's father to knock him over, close enough to actually hurt him. "Dad!" Hibiki cries out in fear for his life.

Fortunately, his injuries were minor and he props himself up to face his daughter. "This is nothing..."

"It's okay. Everything's alright!"

Hibiki was shocked to hear those words coming from her father. However, hearing him of all people say it, Hibiki was reminded of a moment long before her life turned for the worst and the father she knew and loved was still there.

Flashback:
Tachibana Residence

A much younger Hibiki was watching her father cut potatoes for dinner. While he was busy admiring Hibiki's childlike wonder, he was not paying attention to the knife's blade and cut his finger. "Daddy, are you okay?" The young Hibiki asks.

Despite what looked painful to the eyes of his child, Hibiki's father simply wiped the blood away and pat her on the head with his other hand. "It's okay. Everything's alright!" He said calmly, giving his daughter a happy grin, which in turn made her smile.

"That's right. That was what my dad always used to say." Hibiki says to herself, realizing that her father did leave something for her. Something that helped her through the last couple years where Miku and Kana were unable to help.

"You aren't running?" Carol asked.

"I was, but... No matter how far I run, I can't run away from the fact that I'm her father!" Hibiki's father says. "Sure, maybe I was no good... But my daughter really was trying to repair our broken family!" Saying this, he started throwing more rocks at Carol, none of which hit her. "She had the courage to try and face me! So I've decided to squeeze out what little courage I have!"

While Carol just saw this as a man who was desperate to just make himself sound brave, Hibiki was able to see what he was planning. "Hibiki! Take this!" He shouts, throwing one final rock, this time towards Hibiki. But as the "rock" flew past Carol's face, she soon realized that it was, in fact, Hibiki's pendant.

"Balwisyall nescell Gungnir tron."

Immediately, Carol goes for the kill on Hibiki in an attempt to stop her from transforming, causing an explosion that lead Hibiki's father to believe she was killed. "Hibiki!" He cries out as he fell to his knees, fearing the worst.

"It's okay. Everything's alright." Hibiki says, revealing her in her Gungnir Symphogear as the smoke around her cleared, which amazed her father.

(Little Miracle -Grip it tight- begins to play)

"I got something important from you, Dad." Hibiki says. "Every time I was about to give up, you were always there for me. You were always protecting me!"

With a smile on her face and a scowl on Carol's, the inevitable final battle between Hibiki and Carol begins, the latter summoning hordes of Alca-Noise as the former began to fight them all off as she protected the evacuating citizens.

As this happened, Hibiki's father just watched on in amazement. "So I was right then. That girl on the broadcast was Hibiki." He said to himself, remembering the girl he saw in the strange orange armor during the Frontier Incident. "All I ever did was run, but you kept doing your best, no matter what."

As he thought about the last couple years regretfully, he was suddenly snapped back to reality as Hibiki's singing suddenly stopped as she was hit into a building by an attack from Carol which caused her to fall to the earth. Terrified by the sight of her daughter in danger, he did the only thing that he could: cheer her on. "Don't give up!" He shouts. "Hibiki, don't lose!"

Hearing her father's encouragement, Hibiki got back up, saving herself from colliding face first into the concrete, and speeding towards Carol with a prepared gauntlet as Carol was distracted by her father's cheering, hitting her square in the stomach and sending her skyward. With her opening secured, Hibiki jumps off the ground once more for a follow-up attack. However, Carol was quick to go on the defensive.

"Hermes Trismegistus!"

Carol put up a triple-layered magical barrier between herself and the pursuing Hibiki, but the latter was unfazed by Carol's countermeasures.

"That won't stop me!"

Determined to land her follow-up attack, Hibiki breaks through the barriers with ease and lands a punch straight to Carol's jaw, sending her flying through the park below. However, unbeknownst to the father and daughter, Carol had tossed Alca-Noise crystals towards the former during his cheering, only to be noticed once they started to manifest. "Dad!"

"If you're using your father to give you power, I'll just strip you of that power first!" Carol shouted, giving the Alca-Noise the order to kill Hibiki's father.

"No! Dad!" Hibiki cries, trying her hardest to reach him before it was too late. To the duo, everything seemed hopeless. However, moments before the Alca-Noise would claim Hibiki's father's life, a miracle came in the form of a familiar barrage of crystals from a certain Ichaival wielder.

GIGA ZEPPELIN

Seeing her initial plan had failed, Carol started to charge over to finish Hibiki's father off herself. Unfortunately for her, Chris wasn't the only wielder nearby. As she started to run towards her foes, she was blocked by a giant blue sword with Tsubasa Kazanari atop it. With her here, Carol's fears became reality as she turned to see 7 more Symphogear wielders, all clad in their Gears, all ready to finish this fight.

As for the Tachibanas, Hibiki finished off the Alca-Noise stragglers as her father was approached by Ogawa in a black car. "It's too dangerous for you here!" He said, opening the car's passenger seat door. "Hurry!"

Not needing to be told twice, Hibiki's father quickly hurried into the car. Once in, Ogawa quickly drove off as to not be in the way of the intense battle that was about to unfold before the wielders. "Let's stop this, Carol-chan!" Hibiki pleads.

Despite the eight wielders armed to the teeth before her, Carol was not ready to give up. "I'm trying to accomplish my life's goal. I can't stop now!" Carol said. "Even if I must burn every last memory I have!"

(Senkin Dur da Blá begins to play)

With a strum of her relic, Carol once again transformed from her child-like body to that of an adult's in her relic's armor. "Dur da Blá Burst Mode? That light is just like a Symphogear's." Maria said.

Hearing this, Carol chuckled. "Now you will learn that it isn't just the light!" She said as she started to sing. Moments later, a bright ball of light started to form in her hands.

The wielders could only watch on, trying to figure out what Carol was planning to do. Unfortunately, they wouldn't have to wait long to find out. Within a short moment, Carol's armor gained a pair of makeshift wings made out of harp strings that conducted the energy from the ball of light in her hands before casting the energy towards her foes in the form of giant golden gales which the wielders had no choice but to dodge or be killed.

"Where the hell was this kind of power when you, Chris, and Hibiki-chan were fighting this bitch?!" Kanade asked Tsubasa.

"I don't know. But this energy output is alarmingly high. Almost like..."

"This isn't like anything... This is a whole-ass Superb Song!" Chris interjected over Tsubasa's statement.

"She's singing her Superb Song without any strain on her body." Shirabe stated.

"Is there anything alchemy can't do?!" Kirika asked.

"Then let's counter with an S2CA!" Hibiki declares.

"No!" Tsubasa said in disagreement. "Your body can't handle that kind of strain!"

As much as Hibiki wanted to push for the idea of using S2CA, their discussion was cut off as the wind from Carol's attack began to become faster and a bell-like chime started to ring out from the battlefield. "Tsubasa, look!" Maria said, directing everyone's attention to the Château de Tiffauges, the source of that strange chime.

However, the chime wasn't the only thing strange about the Château. "It's flashing." Serena said.

"It's beating?" Tsubasa thought, before quickly realizing what's happening. "No, it's resonating?!"

Meanwhile in S.O.N.G. HQ

"The entire fortress is resonating with Carol's song like a tuning fork..." Sakuya reported. "And it's amplifying her energy."

After the chimes stopped, a giant green ball of energy started to form underneath the Château. Seconds later, the ball fired onto the Earth, spreading all across Earth's surface upon contact. "The energy is radiating out, overlapping the entire planet!" Aoi reported.

"That orbit... It can't be..."

"It's the Photosphere!" Elfnein said, much to Genjuro's dismay.

As they watched on in horror, someone barged into the command center: Ogawa and Hibiki's father. "Sir, you can't come in here! This room is off limits to civilians!" Ogawa said, trying to pull him out of the command center.

"Please... I don't want to avert my eyes anymore, not while my daughter's doing her best!" Hibiki's father pleads. "So let me see my daughter's-Hibiki's-fight!" He broke out of Ogawa's grip and rushed into the command center to watch what was going on.

"Energy waves are converging around the dissection point!" Sakuya reported.

"It's leaving the surface!" Aoi added.

The Wielders' POVs:
The Final Battle with Carol Malus Dienheim

"This is the world's dissection!" Carol proclaimed proudly.

"Not on my watch!" Hibiki retorts, charging at Carol to punch her.

However, Carol was unfazed as strings materialized around Hibiki and stopped all of her momentum. "If you had an Armed Gear, that might have worked." Carol said smugly.

"Where the hell is Kana?" Chris asks aloud. "She better not be taking her damn time with her plan!"

"Her what?" Serena asks.

"Kana-sama's in the Château trying to destroy it from within." Kirika explains. "She told us she would be back quickly but, she's taking too long..."

"Then I'll go help her!" Maria exclaims, jumping towards the Château via the various buildings nearby.

As she ran closer to the Château, she suddenly felt someone grab her hand, quickly finding out it was Serena who, with help from Shirabe and Kirika, caught up to her. "We may rely heavily on our LiNKER."

"But we can always rely on our bonds to take us all the way!" Kirika says, finishing Shirabe's sentence.

"I couldn't have said it better myself, you two." Serena says in agreement.

Without further delays, the four wielders from F.I.S. scale the building closest to the Château, determined to destroy it from within and find Kana. However, this didn't go unnoticed by Carol as she tossed Hibiki away. "You still won't be able to overcome the Château's defenses. None of you can stop me now!" She said, more concerned with fighting the other four wielders who stayed to fight her than the four that went to infiltrate her base.

F.I.S. Wielders' POVs:
The
Château de Tiffauges

Upon scaling the building closest to the Château thanks to Shirabe, the four wielders reached the top, only to be met with Alca-Noise blocking their path. Fortunately, they were dealt with easily and the four jumped right into the Château. "Good. We made it inside." Serena says. "You'd think for her base of operations, Carol would've at least had some sort of defenses set up to stop us other than Alca-Noise."

"Regardless, it would be best to get in and out as fast as we can." Maria adds. "Thankfully, we already know what we need to do."

"Find Kana-sama and take down the Château!" Kirika exclaims.

Not even a moment after she said that, footsteps could be heard running toward their direction, prompting the four to ready their weapons. But as the footsteps drew closer, they could make out a familiar silhouette. "Girls?!" Kana exclaimed in surprise. "What are you doing here?"

"We're here to help you destroy the Château, Kana-senpai." Shirabe answers.

After taking a moment to look at their friend as she walked closer, they could notice that she had several bruises and cuts in her armor and on her exposed flesh. "Who did this to you, Kana-sama?!" Kirika quickly gasps.

Kana was hesitant to answer. "I'm... I'm not sure how to explain this..."

"There you are!" A voice called out from the darkness of the Château. Quickly, Kana pushed the others away and blocked a strike from a mysterious foe that came out of the shadows. "You can run all you want, little princess, but it won't change your inevitable death at my hands!"

Once the other four wielders got a good look at Kana's foe, they were all left speechless by what they saw.

"T-Two Kanas?!"

A/N: And with that, we end the chapter.

As promised, Kana finally confessed her love to Chris! As for why I had to delay this, simply put, there was no reasonable place to put it in the last chapter without giving Kana the ass-pull to let her teleport to the Château de Tiffauges while it was still in another dimension.

That aside, that's not going to be the only moment these two share in Part 3, but you'll have to wait to see what I have in store for them. :)

Anyways, thank you for reading this chapter. I shall see you all in the next one!
