Alright then people this is going to be the next update for this story of mine and I am proud to say that I am going to be updating this story once again seeing as the creative juices are flowing strong for this story as of this moment. So in the last chapter we saw Takuma begin his training with Sun Wukong along with Yasaka helping with his magic training, before he went back home to see Raynare and Mittelt trying to figure out more about Takuma but that all goes south when Takuma pretty much beats the crap out of them. After that we meet someone new trying and almost succeeding in killing the first member of Takuma's Peerage Pyrrha Nikos. Now then I know that some of you might be upset that Pyrrha wasn't able to do much in the fight but you have to remember she is completely new to the world of DxD so she hasn't had the time to get used to the supernatural world so she is going to need to learn for a bit. Now then in this chapter we are going to be seeing the aftermath of the battle with Takuma going about his normal life but we will see some stuff happen along with some more Peerage members appearing in this chapter but even though they are from different franchises they will be born in the DxD universe. Also after this chapter I am going to have Takuma and his Peerage take part in the whole Asia appearing thing and then go back to his own thing but with some sprinkles of DxD thrown in just to mix things up. Disclaimer: I own nothing at all nor will I ever save for the O.C. and Sacred Gear I made for this story.
Pyrrha awoke in her bed as the sun's rays hit her face. She looked around and sat up noticing that she was in a house that she wasn't familiar with. She looked around and saw a piece of paper with her name on it. She slowly got out of bed and walked over to the piece of paper and noticed that it was a letter so she decided to see what Takuma needed.
Dear Pyrrha,
I have to go to school for a couple hours. While I am gone try and get used to the area but be careful. You are part of the supernatural now. You have a target on your back. I made breakfast before I left. It should still be warm by the time you wake up. We'll talk more when I get back home. Try not to push yourself too hard.
Takuma.
Pyrrha smiled and went downstairs where she saw her food with steam still lingering. She sat down and began eating.
"Takuma, are you sure you're not an angel" Pyrrha muttered softly.
Meanwhile at Kuoh Academy, Takuma was walking through the gates. He then saw Rias and Akeno standing by the school building looking at him. He glanced at them in return making them shift and walk away.
"My guess is that those two sensed your power when you fought those two Fallen Angels" Zenith said honestly.
"Most likely, I hope that this will get them off my back" Takuma thought firmly.
"We can only hope. What are you going to do about Pyrrha" Zenith asked in wonder.
"I'll probably take her to Kyoto with me for some training, she'll need it. I can tell she has had some physical training, so I'll have her learn magic and maybe even Senjutsu from Yasaka-chan" Takuma thought honestly.
"Alright, but I think we should contact your mother. I don't know what it means to live like a devil. You already started your Peerage, and I don't know what you should do next" Zenith said honestly.
"I agree. I didn't think that I had to start acting like a devil so soon. I hope that she can give me some tips" Takuma thought hopefully.
After a few minutes he got to class and noticed Koneko staring at him, Takuma cocked an eyebrow and stared back at the white haired girl. Little did they know that Nimura was looking at both of them.
"Looks like Takuma-kun is a bit weary right now, but given the amount of mana coming from his house the other day I can understand why. I need to let Sona-Kaichou know about this right away" Nimura thought firmly.
After class ended, Nimura went straight to the Student Council Office and told Sona everything she noticed about Takuma during class. Sona sighed as she knew that he was already on edge right now, she would have to let Rias know so that her childhood friend and rival didn't do anything that she would regret as the last thing they needed was a powerful devil on their hands.
"Thank you Nimura. Tsubaki-san, for now I want you to keep a closer eye on Takuma-san. Don't reveal yourself unless you have to" Sona said sternly.
"Understood Kaichou" Tsubaki said firmly.
Meanwhile, Takuma went to a secret spot to think about what he should do next, his chain of thought stopped when a magic circle appeared on the back of his hand. It soon vanished and then appeared over his right ear.
"Hello? Takuma-kun sweetie, can you hear me" Venelana asked in wonder.
"Mom? Where are you? I can hear you, but I can't see you" Takuma asked frantically.
"Look at the back of your hand" Venelana said honestly.
Takuma did just that and was surprised to see a magic circle on it. He instinctively put his hand over his ear.
"Hello" Takuma asked curiously.
"Oh good. you figured it out" Venelana said happily.
"Mom, what is this thing" Takuma asked in wonder.
"This is just one of the ways we can communicate with each other. I just wanted to check up on you. How are you doing" Venelana said honestly.
"Good. I reincarnated my first member" Takuma said honestly.
"That's great sweetie. I knew you would do great" Venelana said gleefully.
"It wasn't exactly the way I wanted to do it though. They were on the verge of death. It was like I didn't even give them a choice" Takuma said softly.
"Did you ask them" Venelana asked in wonder.
"Well yes, but-" Takuma began.
"Then it's fine Takuma-kun. Sometimes our best is never enough, and reincarnation is the only choice we have. If they wish to pass on, then we will respect their decision. That's one of the hard points in having a Peerage. To make sure no one has to make that choice and keep on living, okay" Venelana said in a motherly tone.
"Yeah. Thanks mom" Takuma said softly.
"Anytime. Now then the reason I called you was to give you some advice on becoming a King. Now the first thing you should so is settle for some land so that you can start claiming your territory. Contracts is one of the many ways for you to raise your reputation as a member of the supernatural world. We'll need to contact the Youkai faction and get their permission first before anything can start" Venelana said honestly.
"Oh! I already know the Youkai Faction" Takuma said honestly.
"You do? That's great sweetie. Who do you know" Venelana said happily.
"I am getting trained by Yasaka-sama and Sun Wukong" Takuma said honestly.
"That's amazing. With connections like them, this makes things significantly easier, but how did you meet Yasaka-sama? As the leader Youkai Faction it couldn't be that simple" Venelana said happily.
"Um, well about that. I'm kind of engaged to her daughter. We plan on getting married after I graduate so Yasaka-chan is going to be my mother-in-law" Takuma said honestly with a slight blush on his face.
Venelana: ...
"Mom" Takuma asked in concern after getting no response.
Venelana was casually walking down the hall of her home with a smile on her. Once she reached her bedroom she walked in and silently closed the door behind her. She then jumped face first into her bed and started squealing into the pillow. Takuma heard something muffled on the other end of the line before the magic circle disappeared.
"Well, that can't be good" Takuma said softly.
"I've got a bad feeling about this, and not in the way you might be thinking" Zenith said bluntly.
"You and me both buddy" Takuma thought honestly.
(Meanwhile in Kyoto)
Yasak is sitting in a shrine sipping some tea when suddenly the door opened.
"Venelana Gremory, It is nice to meet you. Tell me, is there something that I can do for you" Yasaka said softly.
"I have come to learn of my son's engagement with your daughter" Venelana said bluntly.
"Indeed. The two talked it over and decided to get married after Takuma-kun finished school in Kuoh. Kunou-chan was so very excited when she gave me the news. She was pretty much crying" Yasaka said happily.
"If it isn't too much to ask, I'd like to discuss with you the wedding plans" Venelana said gleefully.
"But of course. I'd like nothing less than to speak with my soon to be sister-in-law" Yasaka said happily.
Venelana/Yasaka: Fufufu~
(Back at Kuoh Academy)
"I don't know why but I just got a feeling that something terrible is happening as we speak, you feel that" Takuma said honestly.
"I'm connected to your soul so yeah, what do you think it is" Zenith asked in wonder.
"I don't know, but I don't like it one bit" Takuma thought honestly.
"Who knows it's probably nothing" Zenith said flatly.
"Yeah you might be right" Takuma thought bluntly.
Little did he know he was wrong, oh so wrong.
After classes ended, Takuma decided to head home and see how Pyrrha is doing. When he got home, he smelled something really good, so he just followed his nose and ended up in the kitchen and spotted Pyrrha cooking. Said girl turned around and saw Takuma standing there and gave the boy who saved her life a small smile to which he returned.
"Hello again" Pyrrha said honestly.
"Hello, what smells good" Takuma asked curiously.
"I figured the least I could do for you is to cook you dinner" Pyrrha said honestly.
Pyrrha placed two plates on the table and the two ate dinner.
"Thank you very much, so how was your day in Kuoh" Takuma asked curiously.
"It was nice. There are so many thing that I'm already familiar with, but the layout is so confusing. I don't understand why the majority of stores are in the mall" Pyrrha said honestly.
"Well marketing for starters" Takuma said plainly.
"What about you? How was your day" Pyrrha asked curiously.
"It was alright, I guess" Takuma said honestly.
"Did something happen" Pyrrha asked curiously.
"More like something didn't happen" Takuma said honestly.
"Do you want to talk about" Pyrrha asked softly.
"No. But if I don't then it will make me even more irritated" Takuma said honestly.
So Takuma told Pyrrha about what was going on at the moment. How two Fallen Angels pretty much broke into his house and attacked his father before they tied him up and tried to get information about him. That was stopped by Takuma who showed up and kicked them out of his house by force and sent them packing and he knew that something was going to happen soon.
"How can they do such a thing" Pyrrha asked in shock.
"Apparently that's how it goes in the supernatural world. Zenith said that some supernatural beings will do just about anything regardless if a devil is running the town" Takuma said honestly.
"Zenith" Pyrrha asked curiously.
"Oh! That's right. I never introduced you" Takuma said in shock.
Takuma raised his right hand and a symbol of a dragon's head appeared on the back of his hand.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Ms. Pyrrha, my name is Zenith" Zenith said honestly.
"Oh! Hello there. I never met a talking tattoo before" Pyrrha said in shock.
"I assure you I am more than just a simple tattoo. I am Storm Dragon Zenith" Zenith said proudly.
"A Storm Dragon" Pyrrha asked in shock.
"It's a bit of a long story" Takuma said flatly.
"Can you summarize it" Pyrrha asked honestly.
"Okay. A long time ago there was a war between the three major factions. The Devils, The Angels, and lastly Fallen Angels. Through that war two beings known as the Two Heavenly Dragons who are known for their rivalry fought to see who was the strongest between the two of them. During one of the many battles they ended up destroying a small tribe that worshipped The Six Great Dragon Kings with Zenith being the second strongest out of the six. One of those casualties was a human female that was the mate of Zenith as her and their unborn child was killed. In his rage Zenith fought against both Heavenly Dragons and even managed to injure them before he disappeared one day" Takuma explained seriously.
"Where did you go" Pyrrha asked cautiously.
"I don't know. Sadly, there are lots of gaps in my memory. From what I can understand, I somehow lost my memory after my last battle against the Two Heavenly Dragons. All I do know is that I always manifest on a human" Zenith said honestly.
"But Takuma is half human" Pyrrha pointed out.
"The rule still applies. So long as they still have humanity within my host, I can still manifest myself on any human" Zenith said honestly.
"Seems a bit strict don't you think" Pyrrha pointed out.
"Selfishness can blind one so much, that it can be confused for selfishness sometimes. Once the line blurs together, you lose focus on what you're fight for. The supernatural tend to have this problem" Zenith explained firmly.
"You lose focus huh" Pyrrha said softly.
Pyrrha looked down at her food and thought to herself. After a few minutes of talking, Takuma can be seen doing dishes. Pyrrha on the other hand is sitting at the table with a cup in her hands.
"You know, this wasn't what I was expecting when I became a devil" Pyrrha said suddenly.
"What do you mean" Takuma asked curiously.
"I mean, I'm your servant and yet, you're doing the dishes. Shouldn't I be doing that kind of stuff" Pyrrha said bluntly.
"I'm not like most other devils. I tend to humble myself. I don't like walking ahead of others, I'm more comfortable walking along side them. I want you to know that deep down, we're just the same" Takuma said honestly.
"Glad to know that" Pyrrha said happily.
"Well having a human father will do that" Takuma said honestly.
The two laughed lightly and continued talking with one another. After Takuma finished doing the dishes he sat down next to Pyrrha.
"You want to know more about me" Pyrrha asked in surprise.
"Well, yeah. I mean, I can tell you're not from here. I also want to know what I'm working with so that I can get a proper recommendation for training" Takuma said truthfully.
"Oh! Okay. Well, my javelin-sword and shield can merge together to make a repeating rifle, I also have a Semblance" Pyrrha said honestly.
"A what" Takuma asked confused as all hell.
"A Semblance" Pyrrha said firmly.
"What's that" Takuma asked in confusion.
"Oh, that right. I'm in a different world. Think of it like my own personal superpower" Pyrrha said honestly.
"Oh, like my Sacred Gear" Takuma said impressed.
"Exactly. My Semblance is polarity" Pyrrha said proudly.
"Magnetism huh, that cool" Takuma said impressed.
"That's about it. So what do you think" Pyrrha asked in wonder.
"You seem like a proficient fighter already. Alright then grab a jacket and follow me" Takuma said suddenly.
"Where are we going" Pyrrha asked in wonder.
"It's time to formally introduce you to my teachers" Takuma said happily.
Takuma brought Pyrrha with him to the shrine as he activated it and the two walked through it. After some walking they made it to Sun Wukong.
"Hey there kid, who is this" Wukong asked curiously.
"This is Pyrrha. She's my first Peerage member. I was wondering if you could check to see how strong she is and find a way to train her" Takuma said honestly.
"Hm. Let's see what I'm dealing with" Wukong said bluntly.
Sun Wukong then started to look closely at Pyrrha's arms and legs. He then circled her looking her up and down trying to gauge her abilities. Once he was done, he stood in front of Takuma and Pyrrha. Then he suddenly wacked Pyrrha on the head with his staff.
"Hey! That hurt you know" Pyrrha said firmly.
"Well, I've got good new and bad news. The good news is she's a bit above average in physical strength and stamina. She must've trained like hell before. The bad news is that she's below average in every other section" Wukong said honestly.
"What" Pyrrha asked in shock.
"Don't take it the wrong way. You're good, but you could be so much better. She has some kind of spiritual power, but it's in what I call a larval state. It's only being used in its basic state. Simply put, she's not as strong as she should be. I'll train her in physical combat, but she'll need someone else to train her power she has" Wukong said honestly.
"My Semblance is weak" Pyrrha asked in shock.
"It's not weak, just not as strong as it should be. Not to mention your 'armor'" Wukong said firmly.
"What about it" Pyrrha asked in wonder.
"It exposes too many vital points. You should at least change it to something that covers more of your body. Not to mention something a little more modern. You stick out like a sore thumb" Wukong said bluntly.
Pyrrha and Takuma sweat dropped at Sun Wukong's words, not expecting fashion advice in this conversation.
(Timeskip)
Takuma and Pyrrha were currently sparring with each other while Sun Wukong watched. Pyrrha was slightly faster than Takuma and had a good grasp at tactics, but she was lacking on offense. Every time she dodged or blocked one of Takuma's attacks he was able to keep up and continue to push her back. After a while Pyrrha decided to close the gap and started to use her weapon as a sword and started to fight within Takuma's range. Takuma would have to manifest Zenith as the two started clashing swords with one another. Eventually, Pyrrha was tiring herself out which gave Takuma the opening that he needed. He bashed Pyrrha's weapon out of her hand before he summoned a powerful gale and sent it at Pyrrha. Pyrrha used her shield to protect her but she was just so tired that she lost her balance and was sent flying. Takuma was now worried and ran over to Pyrrha while Sun Wukong stayed seated and smoled his pipe with a smile on his face.
"Pyrrha! Are you alright" Takuma asked in concern.
"Yeah. I think so. That was impressive. I've never been pushed back that much" Pyrrha said in a tired tone.
"To be honest, your still not used to your devil traits. Just give it some time and you'll surpass me in no time" Takuma said honestly.
"Not likely" Wukong said bluntly.
Takuma and Pyrrha looked back at Sun Wukong who was walking towards them. Takuma stepped to the side as Sun Wukong took one more big huff from his pipe and pointed his staff at Pyrrha.
"The problem is that your aren't fighting" Wukong said firmly.
"What are you talking about, of course she was. She just didn't have the advantage" Takuma said defensively.
"Let me rephase then. When you fought the kid here, you didn't aim for any of his weak spots. You could've knocked him back or even tripped him up, but you didn't. What I mean to kid, is that she might look like a warrior, but she's nothing more than a performer. She doesn't fight like her life is on the line. She doesn't kill" Wukong said seriously.
Pyrrha's eyes went wide as she looked down at her hands.
"What" Takuma asked softly.
"Little missy, let me make this clear for you. In this world, there will be beings that would wish to kill you or your King. You'll need to fight tooth and nail to make sure that doesn't happen. If not, then that blood is on your hands" Wukong said seriously.
Takuma looked at Pyrrha with concern as Sun Wukong walked away.
"Pyrrha? Are you okay" Takuma asked worried.
"No, but I guess that's a good thing. I'm so used to how things worked in my old world, that I forgot that I'm not there anymore. There's still a lot I have to learn and adjust to. I just hope I won't be a burden" Pyrrha said honestly.
"Pyrrha" Takuma said softly.
Pyrrha wiped her eyes and stood up. She then smacked her face and looked at Takuma with a new fire in her eyes.
"I just need to work even harder. I can't let your rescue go to waste. I'll keep working to overcome this. I'll become a Rook that you can be proud of" Pyrrha said proudly.
"Pyrrha very well. Just make sure that you don't push yourself" Takuma said honestly.
Pyrrha nodded with a smile on her face. She then looked confused. Takuma noticed this and was confused by the sudden change in attitude. Suddenly, a pair of arms wrapped around Takuma's neck as he felt something soft push against the back of his head.
"If it was me deary. I would already be proud of her" Venelana said honestly.
Takuma turned around only to be smothered by a massive pair of breasts that blocked his sight. He blushed and looked up to see the smiling face of his mother.
"Mom" Takuma said happily.
Takuma then hugged her back as Pyrrha smiled at the sight.
"Hello sweetie. It's good to see you again. I see you have your first Peerage member with you" Venelana said honestly.
"Oh yeah" Takuma said happily.
Takuma broke away from the hug and walked over and stood next to Pyrrha.
"Mom meet Pyrrha Nikos, Pyrrha this is my mother" Takuma said happily.
"It's very nice to meet you miss" Pyrrha said politely.
"Oh, no need to be so formal. It's nice to meet you as well. I like her. She has an air of kindness around her. Almost like a big sister" Venelana said honestly.
"Yeah, I guess I can see that" Takuma said honestly.
"With her around, things would definitely get more interesting around here" Yasaka said happily.
Takuma looked and saw Yasaka walking forwards before stopping next to Venelana.
"Yasaka-chan, this is my mother" Takuma said happily.
"No need Takuma-kun. I'm well associated with your mother" Yasaka said honestly.
"Wait. You two already know one another" Takuma asked in shock.
"Indeed. Your mother and I were simply discussing where your territory and temporary base should be" Yasaka said honestly.
"Territory" Takuma asked in confusion.
"Base" Pyrrha asked in confusion.
"You see Takuma-kun, you can't have your Peerage live with you in your house. It's too small. Even though you only have Pyrrha at the moment, it's only a matter of time before you start finding more members, So I asked Yasaka-sama if she could provide a place that can be considered your headquarters for you and your Peerage. It's a place for your Peerage can live and where all of you can conduct devil business" Venelana said honestly.
"There's an unused section of Kuoh in the neighborhood where an abandoned church resides right outside of the border. It hasn't been occupied for some time so you can tear it down if you like. I'll also allow you to preform contracts around Kyoto, that was your influence will spread faster. Though I recommend starting in Kuoh though. The contracts there are simpler and easier to complete" Yasaka said honestly.
"Well, I should get going. If you want to talk to me, just use that magic circle I used to contact you" Venelana said honestly.
"I don't know how to do that" Takuma said honestly.
"No worries. Even though I am a master of Senjutsu I can use basic magic like that. I'll teach you along with your Senjutsu practice" Yasaka said honestly.
Venelana hugged Takuma once more while the two smiled. Venelana let go and walked over to Pyrrha and smiled.
"It was an honor to meet you ma'am" Pyrrha said honestly.
"Please. The honor was mine. Please take care of my son" Venelana said softly.
"I'll do my best" Pyrrha said softly.
Venelana smiled and looked over to Takuma and Yasaka.
"I like this one" Venelana said happily.
"Huh" Pyrrha asked curiously.
Venelana then vanished within a magic circle as Yasaka and Takuma started talking more about the territory. Pyrrha then looked at Takuma and for a moment she saw someone familiar to her in his place.
"Looks like I have a lot of work ahead of me. This world is so different. I may have missed my chance to make things right back on Remnant, but I won't make the same mistake" Pyrrha thought firmly.
As Takuma and Yasaka were talking with one another, a female suddenly showed up which caused everyone to break from the conversation to look at this person who had fox ears and three fox tails.
"Sorry to interrupt you Yasaka-sama, but something has happened" the fox girl said frantically.
"Calm down and tell me what is going on" Yasaka said seriously.
"The Oni village has been destroyed" the fox girl said grimly.
"What are you talking about" Yasaka asked seriously.
"A couple stray devils who work for slavers raised the village to the ground with many are dead though there are some missing but we only found three survivors" the fox girl said firmly.
Yasaka instructed the fox girl to show her the three Oni that were brought to Kyoto with Takuma and Pyrrha following and when they arrived at the medical ward, Takuma's eyes went wide as he knew the three Oni getting patched up right now.
"Rem-chan, Benimaru-kun, Shuna-chan" Takuma said in complete shock.
There you go another chapter down and yes Rem, Benimaru, and Shuna are the Peerage members that Takuma is going to gain.
