Episode 5: Owlet Get Together

One morning in Amara's apartment, the young owlet is looking over some of the clothes she had on the bed: A few shirts, blouses, pants, skirts, even one dress. She also has some of her hats and accessories. However, she is having a difficult time choosing one.

Amara says to herself, "Hmm, which one should I wear. It's a little hard to choose, but I still like to wear my favorite hat, but my aunt tells me I should try to dress more like a girl. Maybe I could and still keep my usual look."

"What are you doing okay? Have a hot date or something?" Blitz's voice says.

"It's not really a date, I'm just going to…" Amara says, but stops to recognize the voice.

Amara turns her head to see Blitz, once again, spying on Amara through her bedroom window. Amara becomes irritated, uses her magic to open the window and pulls Blitz inside. Then closes the window after words.

"What are you doing, Blitz? Were you spying on us again?" Amara angrily demands.

"What? It's not my fault you decided to do boring dating stuff in your personal life," Blitz replies.

"You're not planning on watching me dress, were you?" Amara questions, bitterly.

Blitz quickly turns away, "No. Besides, I already had to see Stolas bird-like ass."

"I do not need to know about your personal affairs with the prince," Amara says, annoyed.

Blitz then walks to the window, "Well then, it will be best that I get going. So, who is your hot date?"

"It's not a date, Blitz," Amara says.

Then picks up a jean skirt that has blue frills on the bottom and brown buttons at the font.

"I guess I could wear this, and also wear this hat," Amara says to herself.

Then brings out a brown hat that has a black band on it and white loops on the rim of the hat. She also has a brown belt with a silver buckle as well.

"I'm no designer, but that actually is a good look," Blitz says.

"Thanks, but I do appreciate it if you leave," Amara says.

Then brings out a bright red plaid button up short sleeve shirt and an ivory blouse with a dark blue ribbon tied around the collar.

"But which shirt do you think I should wear?" Amara asks.

"Well, the white one will go well with your feathers and the dark blue ribbon with those tips," Blitz says.

"Thank you, and now I hope you don't mind," Amara says, and grabs Blitz by his jacket.

Then says, "Time for you to leave."

Amara then tosses Blitz out through the apartment door and the back slams to the wall. Then Amara closes and locks the door on him.

"Damn it. She's almost as bad as Moxxie," Blitz says, rubbing the back of his head.

A short time later, Amara and Roy walk to the floor below their floor and reach one of the apartment doors. Amara knocks the door and Millie answers the door with Moxxie next to her.

"Hi Amara. Hi Roy," Millie happily says.

"Hey Millie. Thanks for agreeing to take care of Roy," Amara says.

"It's no trouble. We're glad to have him over," Millie says.

"Okay. Here's his backpack, it has some of his books, toys, notebook and colored pencils, and some snacks," Amara says, giving the bag to Moxxie.

"Of course. You just had a good time and we'll watch over Roy," Moxxie says.

"Thank you. I'll be back later in the evening," Amara says.

"Bye sis," Roy says, waving goodbye.

"Bye," Amara says.

Then Amara heads out to enjoy her day and meet someone.

Suddenly, Blitz, who is standing close to them says, "Well, it looks like Amara has some plans and refuses to tell us what it is."

Moxxie, Millie, and Roy turn their heads to see Blitz standing close to them with a smug look on his face.

"Were you spying on us just now?!" Moxxie exclaims in rage.

"No. I was checking out Amara until she kicked me out," Blitz answers, "But it appears that Amara has made a little arrangement to meet someone. I say we will check it out."

"Sir, I don't think Amara will like that," Moxxie says.

"Come on Mox, it sounds like fun. Besides, it will be a good idea to check on her and make sure no mistakes happen," Millie says.

"What kind of mistakes?" Moxxie says, confused.

Blitz says, "You can be so slow, Mox. She means that while dating someone, some sexual things are sure to happen."

"Amara is seventeen. I doubt it will be anything like that," Moxxie says, denying the idea.

"Maybe she won't, but the one she is going out with might be," Millie says.

"Exactly, I say we should follow Amara and see if we can watch over this fuckin' date of her," Blitz says.

Roy walks into the room and asks, "Hey guys, what are you doing?"

"We're about to spy on your big sister and make sure what's going on with her date," Blitz says.

"I don't think Amara will like it," Roy replies.

"I say we're going. Come on gang, we got a little spying to do," Blitz says.

Sometime later in the Imp City square, Amara is standing next to a fountain and is waiting for someone. In the bushes a short distance away, Blitz, Moxxie, Millie, Roy, and Loona are spying on Amara to see who the 'date' is and what might happen.

"Hmm, I wonder who Amara is going to meet?" Millie whispers.

"Maybe it's that snake girl that tried to seduce her last time," Blitz suggests.

"Sir, for all we know, Amara could just be meeting with some friends or acquaintances," Moxxie says.

"Since when does she have friends?" Blitz questions.

"Well, Amara probably had a few imps, and demons she knew from the Wrath Ring. One of them wants to hang out with her," Moxxie says.

"Really? I remember her sending some letters and text messages to her friends from home about where we are and how we're doing, but I don't remember them saying about them visiting," Roy says.

Blitz notices something and shushes them, "Shut your assholes! Someone's coming!"

The group then hides behind the bushes or other places. Soon, they see someone heading towards Amara's direction. To their surprise, they see a familiar Owl girl who is also a Goetia.

Amara turns to notice her, "Hey Octavia."

"Hi Amara. Kind of glad you want to hang out today," Octavia says.

"Yeah. There hasn't been much work, and the office is closed today," Amara says.

Then asks, "So what do you wanna do first?"

"We can go have some lunch and decide from there. I know a place where we can eat," Octavia says.

"Sure," Amara says.

Octavia then notices the belt she's wearing that has guns and a knife.

"Um, are those really necessary to bring with you?" Octavia asks, pointing to the weapons.

"They are. My pa always tells me to have weapons handy. Never know when someone is going to attack. After all, this is Hell," Amara says.

"That's true," Octavia replies.

"Might as well have over there. You never know when some sinner will take no for an answer," Amara says.

Soon, the two owl girls begin to make their way to the shopping district. Blitz and the others peek from their hiding places to see what has taken place.

Disappointed Blitz says, "Wow! That is fuckin' lame! It was just a stupid get together with the perverted bird's kid!"

"I was sure she had gotten a boyfriend or a girlfriend," Millie says, disappointed as well.

"See. There isn't any reason to be here if she's just hanging out with Octavia," Moxxie says.

"Maybe so, but I say let's continue our fun and keep an eye on them," Blitz says, still eager to follow them for fun.

"I think you're missing the biggest issue, sir. Don't you think, Amara and Octavia will see if we go follow them. They're going to notice us," Moxxie says.

"I got that covered, Mox," Blitz says.

Loona sighs, "Remind me why we're doing this again?"

"Because Blitz wants us to," Roy replies.

"And this is not going to end well," Loona says.

Sometime later, Amara and Octavia arrive at the shopping district. There are plenty of different clothes stores, food stores, restaurants, and other places for demons to hang out and have some fun. There are also mostly Imps in the shopping district. Of course, in some of the stores, because there are some sales, many of the Imps, especially females are being very brutal or ruthless to get lower price stuff. They even go so far to use weapons against each other.

"This place looks different from the mall I went to with the others," Amara says.

"Yeah. The place can be quiet, but can also get a bit crazy with other demons," Octavia says.

Amara notices something and asks, "Want to link arms?"

"Why?" Octavia asks.

Amara points forward as they see a male muscular Imp trying to hit on a female Succubi.

"Come on babe, I can show you a good time," The Imp says, seductively.

The female Succubi slaps the Imp and angrily says, "I told you no, you dick!"

Then the Succubi walks away with a huff.

The Imp angrily turns away and mutters, "Fuckin bitch."

Amara and Octavia look at each other and decide to link their arms and walk past the Imp. The Imp notices the two and simply turns his head away. Hiding behind the trash can close by is an Imp that is holding a knife. The Imp then jumps on the can and plans to attack the two Owl girls.

Amara whispers to Octavia, "Better stay clear, there's someone who wants to give us problems."

Octavia nods her head in reply.

Amara turns her body and uses her claw to create a feather. Then throws it like a kunai-like feather, and it stabs the Imp on its forehead, causing it to collapse.

"Good shot. Have you always been able to do that?" Octavia asks.

"Yes. I have always been able to use magic like this," Amara says.

"Hmm, interesting," Octavia says.

The two girls then continue on their way to find the restaurant Octavia is talking about. Close behind, Blitz and the others are wearing disguises, hoping they can spy on them without noticing.

"Well, looks like Amara managed to score one," Blitz says.

"I really think this is a bad idea. If the girls see us, we'll be so fucked," Moxxie says.

"Relax Moxxie, we're just keeping an eye on them. It's not like we're going to cause them any problems," Millie says.

"Listen to your hoe, Mox. Now let's follow them before we lose signs of them," Blitz says.

Blitz then begins to follow forward to stalk the two owl girls Soon in the coffee shop, the girls are having their lunch as they chat.

"So Amara, how are you doing with the assassinating business?" Octavia asks.

"It's been going well. Even though there have been crazy humans. You won't believe the kind of nastiest that some had. And many of them... not normal," Amara says.

"How 'not normal' are we talking about?" Octavia asks.

"Not normal enough to be sane. Humans can be kind of weird. We had a run in with psychos, cannibals, cults, and humans who act like savages," Amara says.

"I wouldn't know. I don't really go to the human world that much," Octavia says.

"Really? I kind of figure that you do because the Grimoire belongs to your dad," Amara says, curiously.

"I get where you're coming from. My dad does use it sometimes for family vacations and his duties. However, he doesn't want me to use the book on my own. Worried I'll get hurt or worse," Octavia says.

"I see," Amara says.

The girls continue to have their conversation, unaware that Blitz and the others are hiding behind newspapers and still spying on them.

"This is fuckin boring," Loona mutters.

"I have to admit, it is boring, but I like to see how this plays out," Blitz says.

Moxxie groans, annoyed.

"So how did you join I.M.P anyway?" Octavia asks.

"Well, when I first arrived at Imp City I was a street performer to earn some money so my brother and I could have food and clothes, and supplies to clean ourselves and such," Amara says.

"Really now? What about your parents? What do they think about it?" Octavia asks.

That's when Amara lets out a bit of a frown on her face, and Octavia notices.

"What's wrong? Did I say something wrong?" Octavia asks.

"No. It's not that. You see, our parents were brutally murdered six year ago," Amara says.

"Murdered?" Octavia asks.

"Yes. They barged into our home one night and attacked. We don't know who they are or why they decide to attack. Our parents were able to protect us and kept us safe in a secret room in our home. However, things took a really nasty turn," Amara says.

"Does it um, involve with you having your arm and both legs being robotic?" Octavia asks, trying to be gentle on the subject.

"Um yeah. I don't remember how, but a fire broke out in our home. And well, the house collapsed and I fell through the floor to the ground floor. And I lost consciousness after some parts of the house fell on me. I was unconscious for around a month," Amara says.

"That sounds really bad," Octaiva says, deeply concerned.

Amara sadly sighs, "I know. I was really badly hurt, and not just being mentally scared. When I woke up, my aunt, my friends, and even the doctor explained that my left arm and both my legs were badly damaged and they wouldn't be able to heal. So, I was given these limbs so I'm able to walk, but it was not an easy process."

"That must have been hard for you," Octavia replies.

"IIt really was, but I was able to get through it for me, my Aunt Eda, and my little brother," Amara says.

"So other than those feathers, do you have other kinds of abilities?" Octavia asks.

"Yeah. I can levitate stuff, make wind, and other stuff. Of course, my ma and pa said that I should develop my own physical strength," Amara says.

"How strong do you say you are?" Octaiva asks.

"I'm pretty strong," Amara says.

Then holds her organic arm out, "Want to Arm Wrestle to find out?"

"No thanks. I'm not into those kinds of things," Octavia says and a giggle.

Soon, the two girls begin laughing.

After having their lunch, Amara and Octavia have gone into a music store, unaware that they are being spied on by Imps who have weapons like knives, pitch forks, and ropes. Of course, Blitz and the others aren't far behind. Since they decide to walk around the area, they decide to see some of the stores. One of them is a music store. Amara and Octavia look around to see some of the instruments, tools and such.

"Hmm, this looks like a decent store. It's a little different from the store I go back to in the Wrath Ring, but I think it's good," Amara says.

"Well, I'm not much of an instrumentalist, but the store seems nice enough," Octavia says.

Amara then walks to the guitar section and is able to find the guitar strings.

Amara then picks two of them, "There we go. These will do nicely."

Amara then purchases the guitar strings and the girls walk over to the Stylish Occult. In the store, there are plenty of gothic-style apparel.

"The place still looks interesting, but I'm not much into gothic styles," Amara says.

As the girls are about to leave the store, a pair of imps are ready to ambush them. Suddenly, they both end up receiving head hits from bullets and they collapse on the ground. After that, the girls are in the Stylish Occult store. Amara then looks at some of the clothes section. Mainly at the shirts, vests, and pants, even some of the accessories: Belts, different types of neckties, hats, and a few jewelry. She also heads to a store to get some essentials for her robotic limbs.

"I must admit, despite them being a gothic style, some of them seem to be a bit my style. However, I think I'm more into a western style, but these are still good," Amara says.

"Glad you think so," Octavia says.

Then asks, "Do you plan on getting a dress?"

"I'm not much of a dress person, but I'm starting to get used to wearing them again. Most of my life, I wear jeans, pants, and even shorts. Dresses aren't fully my style, but my aunt was able to convince me," Amara says.

"Make sense. But, maybe you could try wearing something more well, girl like. You always seem to look like a boy wearing stuff like this," Octavia says.

Amara turns away with a huff, "You're starting to sound like my friend, Madison and my Aunt Eda. They think I should try to be more feminine as well."

"And yet you decided to buy a few skirts and dresses anyway," Octavia says, and points to her bag.

The two girls then begin to laugh. It's easy to tell that the two girls are bonding together as good friends. Blitz and the others continue to keep an eye on them, even try to keep some weirdos from getting the jump on them.

Sometime later, Octavia and Amara are walking around the district.

"So, where do you wanna go next?" Amara asks.

"I'm not sure, but do you get the feeling we're being followed," Octavia says.

Amara whispers, "If you mean by Blitz and his crew, I know."

"How long have they been following us?" Octavia whispers.

"I'm not sure, but I'm going to have a serious talk with them when I get back," Amara whispers, and doesn't sound very pleased.

"I'm surprised you noticed it," Octavia says.

"From what Moxxie told me about Blitz, I'm not that surprised," Amara replies.

Then says, "Plus, he's been sneaking into my room either to record me and my brother sleeping, or just stare at us. The first time he did it, I threw him out of my apartment and he landed in the dumpster outside of the apartment. And everytime he does it, I either throw him out or practically kick him out."

"It makes me wonder what my dad even sees in him," Octavia says, confused.

"Blitz may act like a pain, but he's actually someone you can get along with, you just need to tolerate his habits," Amara says.

Suddenly, someone says, "Well well well."

Octavia and Amara look to find three different demon sinners standing in front of them. One is a dragonewt, covered in red scales with a long tail and wings, and wears a black bodysuit. The second one is a dark purple Imp like being, but is wearing a black shirt, and blue jeans. The last one has a frightening animal skull for a head, and wears a dark blue suit.

"It looks like we got ourselves since nice looking chicks," The dragonewt says.

The Dark Purple Imp then asks with an evil grin, "How about you ladies like to join us for a few drinks."

"Sorry, but we already have other plans," Amara says.

Then turns to Octavia, "Come on, let's go."

Before they can leave, the Dragonewt grabs Octavia by her arm, "Come on sweet beak, I'm sure you can spare some time."

"I rather not," Octavia answers.

Amara sternly says, "You heard her."

"Come on, I'm sure we can have a little fun," The demon with the animal skull says.

Amara says, "Why don't you guys fuck off, and leave us be."

Then takes Octavia away from the three demons and prepares to leave.

Suddenly, the dragonewt grabs Amara by her ribbon and pulls her to his face, "We're not going anywhere you birdy bitch. So I guess you play nice or I'll break your beak."

"You are being very immature," Octavia says.

"Who ask you, you gothic feather brain," the Imp demon says, and pushes Octavia into the ground.

Amara gasps, "Octavia!"

"Now then, little girl. Are you gonna play nice or am I going to play rough," the dragonewt says.

Suddenly, he feels a sharp pain on his side, and it turns out Amara has used her knife to stab him, and he begins to bleed. That causes him to let go of Amara. Then Amara lifts her robotic leg and kicks the dragonewt away from her.

The skull Sinner is pissed off, "Hey, you got a problem pipsqueak!"

Amara doesn't say a word and instead, punches the Imp demon in the face with her robotic hand. Then grabs the skull mask demon by his arm and flips him over. The sinners soon get up and are very furious. Close by and seeing what is happening, Blitz and the others are shocked to see what has happened.

"Oh crumbs, it looks like the girls are in trouble," Moxxie says.

"I'm sure Amara can handle them on her own," Loona says.

"Yeah. And if they made her mad enough," Blitz says.

"Those guys will be in deep trouble," Roy replies.

In fact, Amara is actually pissed off because they hurt Octavia. Plus, they don't want to take no for an answer. Soon, Amara actually begins to fight against them on her own. She punches, kicks, and uses her knife to stab them to make them weaker. She kicks the imp in the stomach. Then punches the Skull demon in the face. Then pulls the dragonewt by his tail and throws him at his crew members. Then they end up crashing to the ground. Amara takes deep breaths as she is able to beat them. Suddenly, Amara ends up getting shot on her right shoulder and blood gets spread to the ground.

"Amara!" Octavia exclaims.

Amara grunts and screams in pain as she holds her right shoulder. She soon falls to her knees until the sinner responsible for the shop steps forward.

The demon behind it is a large purple color demon wearing a gray suit and has large fly wings, and creepy fly-like eyes.

"Well, looks like I'm just in time to have a little fun," The Fly demon says.

He then grabs Amara by her shirt and pulls her up as her hat falls off.

"Must admit, you sure are tough for a little bird. It's too bad I had to damage you a little for beating the fuck out of my men," The fly demon says.

Amara struggles to break free from the demon's grasp, but her right shoulder hurts that it's hard to.

"Struggle all you like, but in shit loads of trouble for what you did. And we can start by tearing those robotic body parts of yours," The fly demon says.

Then turns to Octavia, "However, it's fortunate for us that you're with the Goetia kid. I'm sure we can get the Prince's ransom for both of you."

Suddenly, a click of the gun appears and the fly demon is shot in his hand. He screams in agony as he drops Amara to the ground. Then viciously turns his head to see Blitz holding his gun out at him.

"Yeah. Sorry to break your little party short, but I rather you not be shitty to one of my employees," Blitz says.

Suddenly, Amara stands up as she clenches her right shoulder, much to everyone's surprise.

Roy however, recognizes it, "Uh oh."

"I think Amara is about to snap," Loona says.

"I think we should stand back since we know what's going to happen next," Moxxie says.

"Agreed," Blitz says with a nod.

Soon, everyone calmly walks back to see Amara has officially had it with those demons, and plans to teach them a painful lesson.

In a dangerous tone, Amara says to the four sinners, "So that's how you wanna do it. You try to attack two teenagers and mess with us. Then you hurt a defenseless girl, and also shot me in the arm. You can shoot me, punch me, kick me when I'm down. However, I'm not going to allow you to ransom Octavia's life, by the likes of you."

Amara then opens all four eyes and they begin to glow with pure anger, scaring the four sinners. Amara then lifts her arm and uses it to create a powerful wind and the feathers appear. Then uses her fingers to move around and create a feather like tornado around them. Then uses her powers to send flying to who knows where and away from the city. Once Amara is done using her powers and has finally calmed down, the young owl demon collapses on the ground. Everyone is practically dumbfounded and shocked to see what Amara has done and is now practically passed out.

Blitz says, "I think they may let her go over defcon 4 on this one."

Time has gone by, and the I.M.P employees, including Octavia, are in the van. Octavia, Loona, and Roy have fallen asleep. Amara is still passed out from the injury and for using a lot of her abilities on the demon sinners. Millie is able to fix up the wound Amara has on her shoulder with Moxxie's help.

Blitz groans and says, "Talk about a fuckin mess that happened."

"I have to agree, sir. Amara may have gotten a bit carried away," Moxxie says.

"Carried away? Mox, Amara practically sent them to the next ring of Hell or something. I didn't even think she was this powerful when she gets mad," Blitz says.

"She actually acted a lot worse when those teenagers attacked little Roy at the mall," Millie says.

"Either way, Amara is a lot calmer without her getting angry and protective," Moxxie says.

"Let's just hope it stays that way," Blitz says.

Soon enough, Blitz parks the van in front of the front gate of the mansion. At the same time, Octavia and Amara soon wake up.

Amara yawns and says, "Guys, wha... what happened?"

"Are you okay, Amara?" Millie asks.

"I think so. My shoulder still hurts," Amara says, holding her shoulder with her left hand.

"Are you sure? I mean. You kind of lost control back there," Octavia says.

Amara sadly sighs and says, "I'm sorry that you had to see that. The last thing I want you to see is my powers increase when I get angry."

"It's okay. You only did that to defend me," Octavia says.

"Yeah. But, I could have handled it better," Amara says.

"Ah, those ass wholes shot you in the arm. I think they ended up getting what they deserve," Blitz says.

"I suppose. I just hope I don't have to go through that again," Amara says.

"At least you showed them not to mess with you. And it's not that bad since they tried to kill you back," Millie says.

"I still think what I did was a bit overkill," Amara says

Moxxie then opens the van, allowing Amara and Octavia to step out. Amara and Octavia then walk past the gate of the mansion and walk down the path to the front door.

"Thanks for inviting me, Octavia. Even though it didn't go as planned," Amara says.

"It's okay. I suspect things were going to get crazy there. And I did learn one thing about you," Octavia says.

"What's that?" Amara asks.

Octavia chuckles, "Never get on your bad side."

Amara groans as she covers her face with her hat, "I'm never going to live that down."

"Well then. See you next time," Octavia says.

"Bye," Amara says.

Octavia then opens the door to the mansion, goes inside, and closes the door. Amara then begins to make her way to the van, and is ready to head back to the apartment. Unknown to the group, someone else has seen Amara go in the van with the Imps and Hellhound in the van, and has her confused. That someone is Stella, Octavia's mother. She places her claw hand under her chin and becomes curious and suspicious about Amara.
