flames will be ignored. Constructive criticism welcomed, I want to do better and bring a fun story.

Void and veil-Growing pains
Arriving on the busy high street's cobble path had been a surprise. Gathering myself and getting my recent shaking under control, I moved to complete my errand and get home. The faster, the better, I need the illusion of this errand.
Hatenna was not taking all these people well. Well, I say all these people, but really it was barely a dozen. I could feel her latching on to my own forced calm, not an easy feet after the past few minutes. My head was hurting again and I felt woozy.
I had screwed up again, I should have been more careful, and less rushed, an anomaly being present just like that after I could conveniently see it. I had put us both in danger.
Now don't get me wrong the rewards had been worth it, there had been minimal risk compared to what could have happened, what it could have done. My talisman had reacted to something, and even that had been a roll of the dice on whether it would work properly. I would have to make more though it did… something.
It was on the way back home, someone got my attention. "Why Jericho, lad", I had been brought out of my musing by a very loud, very jolly voice. One I recognized, "What are you doing here?"
"Hi, Mr. Blight," I greeted reluctantly. "Just getting a toothbrush for my new partner." I pointed to my living hat, who herself was not happy with the interruption.
"Ah, so you finally have yourself a partner," The older gentleman remarked, his pale wrinkled skin and graying blonde hair, showing his age. "Though I doubt you need a bag that big for a toothbrush," He continued, raising a brow.
"Ah, yeah, just some books I've been reading. You know for the walk," Dammit Jericho, who'd believe that?
"Haha, you and your books, my boy,"...Roll with it.
Shrugging my shoulders as best I could with the heavy bag, and forcing a grin, I replied, "You know me."
"Indeed, indeed. Say, Jerry, my boy", *twitch* "Would you mind telling your Gran I'll be a bit late tending the garden today. Eldegoss is a bit behind," The current blight of my life explained.
"Of course, Mr. Blight, though Gran was up late, so it shouldn't be a problem," I informed him through gritted teeth. My head was getting worse.
"Capital, thank you, young man," The strangely named gardener chuckled.
"Of course, have a good one," I gave my goodbyes politely as I could. While walking away fast as I could manage.
"And you," he bellowed after me. *Twitch* calm, control. Deep breaths.
Finally, after 15 minutes of walking, that had stretched on longer than they had any right. I was home, walking over the small white wooded bridge crossing the river I then passed by the small arena patch, made of asphalt, Gran had made for Pokemon battles. And through the white fence separating the garden and potted flower rows, from it. I finally entered the house.
Right, first things first. Moving through the quiet house to my bedroom, I hid the bag full of books in one of the drawers in my bed's box spring. That done, I went off to the bathroom so Hatenna could brush her teeth.
Turns out she already knew how to brush her teeth, so I didn't need to teach her, the brush was already in her telekinetic grasp. Looking at my wristwatch, the time read 10:30. I swear Sonia sleeps like a teenager, blood dropped on my watch, what? I looked up and caught myself in the mirror. I had a bloody nose again. Why?
Hatenna had noticed as well and sent me an image in real-time, showing the energy wisps from earlier focused around my head, my eyes were bloodshot though not bleeding this time. And I think two black eyes were forming, that's not good.
A feeling of moisture saturated my skin, which almost immediately evaporated, and I suddenly felt much better the wooziness and head pain has dissipated, life dew I realized looking at my partner. I felt better, the wounds were already fading.
'Thank you,' I sent an image of a starry sky followed by the feeling of hot humidity, and the taste of citrus. She seemed surprised by that, and I gave her a smirk. Then pain bounced around my skull again, not as bad mind you, but it hurt.
Then it clicked. Using what I can only assume is telepathy would use psychic energy, the same energy that's focused on my head or rather brain. And energy has to come from somewhere my physical energy has been used to fuel it, hence the broken blood vessels, and who knows what else below the surface. It's taking energy from my body and a lot at that, shit.
*Sigh*
"OK, I think I've been overdoing it. Can I get your help with my new... abilities? Sooner rather than later," I asked out loud. Confirmation was broadcast to me, I trust her, I reaffirmed.
I gave out a relieved sigh, "Cheers." I looked at my watch, 11:00, what a morning. I cleaned the little blood on me off in the sink as Hatty finished cleaning her teeth.
"Come on, time to wake up Sonia," I said, Hatenna was pleased about that, not that I needed to feel it, though I did, it was clear from her sadistic little grin. She knew how to hold a grudge.
Arriving at Sonia's room, I banged on her door, "Sonia!" I called, then I waited for a beat, no response. "Sonia!" Rustling and groaning answered me this time. "Sonia it's nearly noon," I received a garbled OK this time.
Hatty was pouting now, at the lack of shock Sonia was in. "Come on Hatty," I rolled my eyes at the little witch.
Re-entering my room I pulled out my notepad from this morning and began writing down what had happened earlier, in English, I would say it made it more secure, but magic. Though, it'll do for now.
Sometime during this, the shower turned on, so Sonia was up at least.
Hatty had been on my head, quiet, for a while now. "You, OK?" A flash of words from all different languages, appeared in my mind. "Ah. I did say I would teach you," putting the pad away I moved to the library.
Looking through the shelves, I found an easier Galarian book, "Here we go." A story one of the first I had read in this world, Eevee's dilemma, not a toddler's first book, but more, a simple children's book... I had to learn to, you know.
"Eevee's dilemma, it's about an Eevee choosing what he wants to become, and evolve into," I told Hatenna. This would be difficult, at least she can understand me.
"Jericho! Teatime," Gran called. It had been about an hour, I guess Sonia had woken her.
"Ok," I called back.
Well, that hadn't gone too badly. Hatty was very smart for a young psychic. Disappointment came from her as I put the book away. "We can read more later, OK?" I placated the young witch, patting her and leaving the library.
On entering the kitchen, I moved to sit at the same round table Sonia and Gran were sat at. Though I felt Hatenna's emotions enter a state of flux when Sonia chipped a quick, "Morning." I bit back a sigh. Great.
I opened my mind again, broadcasting calmness. 'Oww,' There's the throbbing again. Hatty's emotions quickly stabilized, though that was followed by concern for me in return. "It's evening, Sonia," I deadpanned. 'I know but we have to adapt,' I sent to Hatenna while Sonia huffed.
"Gran, Mr. Blight said he would be late today," I mentioned to Gran.
"Ah, thank you, Jericho." Gran seemed distracted.
Taking a seat, I thanked my Grandmother for the meal, a plate of hash browns and baked beans, while the Pokemon were being given Poke'mix and berries, simple enough.
After eating our lunches, which passed with Sonia talking about some new trend in Galar, selfies, apparently some things are universal.
After Sonia and I finished helping Gran tidy up, she asked us to meet her in the living room.
My headache was back in full force by now. I rubbed my temples as Sonia skipped into the other room, because, of course, she did.
'Hatty could you?' She understood, life dew took effect immediately reliving my pain a little, which was still sealed behind a veil of forced calm. I know I shouldn't be reliant on it, but bleeding in front of my family wasn't an option. 'Thanks,' I thought to her sincerely.
A/N: Seventh chapter of Void and Veil done, I know there will be some mistakes, but let me know what you think. A bit short, I think I will start trying to make longer chapters in the future.
thanks all i feel like my writing is getting better, because of your input.
I'd like to thank, Exotic4M3 for the tips. I will be going back and implementing them.
Arkon, its a surprise I won't tell you if your right or wrong, it is a Pokemon however.
And some one asked if Jericho was IRA'd ? Unless you referring to ,the Provisional, Irish Republican Army, and are referring to the terror attacks and bombs they employed in Britain and northern Ireland from 1969-1997. I'm afraid I don't understand, though the pipe that exploded was not a pipe bomb just an accident.
