Chapter 50: Seasonal Finale

Where We Left Off: Z-ARC is on his final legs! The Bracelet Girls have managed to push Z-ARC to the point where Zarc, the original soul of the body, has managed to wrestle back some control, setting the duel up so that they can easily defeat him. Suddenly, Izumi also showed up, and is ready to take down the Supreme King Dragon, once and for all.

Z-ARC only controls himself and has 2 cards in his hand.

The Bracelet Girls control Mozarta the Melodious Maestra, Bloom Diva the Melodious Choir and Sonata the Melodious Diva, Lunalight Liger Dancer, Lunalight Sabre Dancer, Lyrilusc – Recital Starling, Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale and Windwitch – Winter Bell.

Sonata the Melodious Diva: Level 3, 1700 ATK

Mozarta the Melodious Maestra: Level 8, 3100 ATK

Lunalight Sabre Dancer: Level 9, 5000 ATK

Lunalight Liger Dancer: Level 12, 4500 ATK

Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale: Rank 1, 1200 ATK, 5 ORU

Lyrilusc – Recital Starling: Rank 1, 0 ATK, 1 ORU

Windwitch – Winter Bell: Level 7, 2000 DEF

Zuzu has no cards in her hand, as does Celina, Lulu has two and Rin has five. Izumi has five as well.

Everyone has 2800 LP, except Izumi who has 4000 LP.

It is now Izumi's turn.

"Go ahead, Ray. I've set up everything, just for you." Zarc smiled at Izumi,

"I thought it'd already been established I wasn't Ray. None of us are," She replied, "But thank you, Zarc. I won't waste this opportunity!"

Turn 39: Izumi

"I draw! Since I do not control one, Four Seasons – Silver Honey Bear can join my field, but its not alone, as I can summon another straight from my deck, who activates that same effect!" Emerging were three rather medium sized bears, both with shining silver fur, a yellow film around their mouths,

Four Seasons – Silver Honey Bear: Level 5, 1000 ATK

"But they won't stay long, as I overlay them. Mischievous spirt of the Deep Woods, guide those who have lost their way! I Xyz Summon, Rank 5, Four Seasons – Dai the Will-O-Wisp!" A small, pixie-like spirit with flames coating its body appeared, giving a small smirk.

Four Seasons – Dai the Will-O-Wisp: Rank 5, 1000 DEF, 3 ORU

"Dai's effect activates. I use an Overlay Unit to add any 'Four Seasons' spell or trap to my hand, so I'll add Four Seasons – Domain of Memories to my hand."

"I'll destroy that!" Z-ARC shouted, but he found his arm unable to hit the button on his duel disk, Zarc's eye telling him everything: 'You can't stop her'.

Four Seasons – Dai the Will-O-Wisp: 3 ORU - 2 ORU

"Now, watch as the Pendulum Scale blooms into life! Scale one Four Seasons – Peaceful Dove and Scale eight Four Seasons – Renewal Anaconda! Now, I Pendulum Summon! Appear, graceful seasonal spirits! Four Seasons – Wild Liger and Four Seasons – Kuribonsai and Kuriblossom. My lovely Kuri's effect now activates, tributing itself to be able to add one Ritual Spell to my hand. I will then chain Wild Liger's effect. As it was Summoned, I can draw two cards, but Wild Liger cannot attack this turn.

"My effects now resolve. I draw and add the Ritual Spell, Blessing of the Woods to my hand. Now, I activate Blessing of the Woods! This allows me to tribute monsters I control or that are in my hand, in order to Ritual Summon! Z-ARC I think you know what's coming."

"Another dragon? It won't matter. It'll fall like the rest of them did!" Z-ARC boasted,

"Did he say 'another dragon'? It can't be!" Leo Akaba choked out from the sidelines, the burns on his body being treated,

"Well then, let's see. I tribute the Level six Wild Liger, as well as the Level two Four Seasons – Snow-o-wl! Pristine Guardian of all nature, silence those who dare to threaten the wilderness and wildlife! I Ritual Summon, level 8, Pristine Creation… Ritual Dragon!" As a copse of trees appeared and eight flames lit up, a deep roar boomed out. As a blast of energy occurred, the trees parted as a large dragon swooped out. Clad in pale blue scales, the dragons bright blue eyes surveyed the battlefield, spotting Z-ARC which it roared at in challenge. At that moment, the five bracelets on the wrists of the girls shined brighter than ever, forcing several people to cover their eyes,

Pristine Creation Ritual Dragon: Level 8, 2600 ATK

"Now I use the spell Pot of Greed to draw two new cards. Perfect! I set one card, and then Normal Summon Four Seasons – Fireglow Buck. Fireglow Buck's effect allows me to shuffle my hand into my deck and draw a new one, but only if it is my first turn. I shuffle back one card to draw a new one. Now I activate Seasonal Fusion! This allows me to Fusion Summon a 'Four Seasons' monster using materials in my hand or field, but also my deck, so long as any materials are banished. I banish Four Seasons – Stone Lynx and Four Seasons – Nightstalker Wolf! Behold the union brought forth by this unlikely friendship between two creatures; show everyone your combined power! I Fusion Summon! Four Seasons – Centaurilla and Kenji the Fairy!" A duo of monsters stepped onto the field, the first clad in an ornate black and gold outfit, reminiscent of a steam age train conductor, but styled for a female with a horse's lower half, and the other in a suit from the same era, faded with time.

Four Seasons – Fireglow Buck: Level 4, Tuner, 1500 ATK

Four Seasons – Centaurilla and Kenji the Fairy: Level 7, 2500 ATK

"Centaurilla's effect activates. This one allows me to Special Summon any EARTH attributed monster from my deck or grave, but it'll be banished once it leaves the field. Slight catch though. Since I've activated Blessing of the Woods this turn, that EARTH restriction? Gone. I summon Four Seasons – Flare Fox straight from my deck!" A fox with a flaming tail emerged, letting out a small 'yip'.

Four Seasons – Flare Fox: Level 3, 1200 ATK

"Summon as much as you like, it won't help you!" Z-ARC screamed,

"Perhaps not yet, but Flare Fox has an interesting effect. I can half your attack points! Charred Snare!" Letting out another yip, Flare Fox ran around Z-ARC's towering form, a trail of ash being left behind by its tail.

Supreme King Z-ARC: 4000 ATK - 2000 ATK

"Cease this instant!" Z-ARC shouted, a bit of terror seeming to creep into his eye,

"Never. Anyways, Fireglow Buck is also a tuner, so watch as the Level four Fireglow Buck tunes the Level three Flare Fox! Mighty protector of animals, use the earth to aid your strength! I Synchro Summon! Level 7, Four Seasons – Guardian Golem!" Izumi's Synchro monster climbed out of the earth, glaring up at the towering dragon.

Four Seasons – Guardian Golem: Level 7, 2400 ATK

"Guardian Golem's effect allows me to add one Equip Spell to my hand, so I add Golden Armour to my hand, which I now activate! Equip to Pristine Creation Ritual Dragon and give it the golden boost of one thousand attack points!" Izumi announced as Pristine Creation shot up in strength, a suit of golden platemail encasing the dragon.

Pristine Creation Ritual Dragon: 2600 ATK - 3600 ATK

"It needs how much attack?" Rin asked,

"Four thousand, eight hundred." Zuzu answered,

"And that should be achievable, right?" Lulu's voice was slightly worry filled,

"I'm sure Izumi has it sorted." Celina said, and all four girls gained a smile as the elder girl performed another move,

"I'm sure you've seen this coming, what with what I've currently done, but it's time for this circuit to bloom! The material is two 'Four Seasons' monsters, so I set Guardian Golem and Dai in the Link Arrows! Protecter of the flowers, behold our foe that dares intrude your sacred domain. I Link Summon! LINK-2, Four Seasons – Gonezu the Flower King!" Revealing itself from the Link portal was a medium-sized man, a red coat on his body and large butterfly-like wings unfurling.

Four Seasons – Gonezu the Flower King: LINK-2, 2000 ATK, Bottom left and bottom right arrows.

"Gonezu's effect activates. When he is Link Summoned, he can give one monster he points to half the attack points of another monster he points to, but one must be a 'Four Seasons' monster or else I cannot attack this turn. Thankfully, Centaurilla and Kenji happen to be a 'Four Seasons' monster, so they'll donate half their points to Pristine Creation Ritual Dragon."

Four Seasons – Centaurilla and Kenji the Fairy: 2500 TATK - 1250 ATK

Pristine Creation Ritual Dragon: 3600 ATK - 4850 ATK

"NO!" Z-ARC screamed, "NO! This isn't happening!"

"It is, Z-ARC. I'm afraid it's time to battle. You know you'll be finished, Z-ARC. Is there anything you want to say?"

"Why would I have anything to say to a worm such as you!" Z-ARC screeched, his voice panicking, "I am Supreme, I am almighty! I cannot lose to one like you!"

"Suit yourself. How about you, Zarc?"

"Can you tell me with one hundred percent certainty that this will finish me off?"

"Of course."

"Then, I have only one request. Make sure they all are happy, won't you five?"

"You mean with the boys?" Zuzu inquired,

"Yes. I know how much they mean to all of you. They all feel that same way to you." Lulu, Rin and Zuzu blushed at that, whereas Celina and Izumi merely smiled and nodded, "They all want to do good, but this insufferable parasite ruined that. I know it means nothing, but I'm truly sorry for what I've done."

"If it means anything, we all believe you," Izumi smiled, "Are you ready?"

"Yes. I'll finally be able to see Ray, Ren and Izumi again. My Ren and Izumi that is." Zarc chuckled, as he raised the arm he controlled out to the side,

"No, you worthless trash! Fight Me on equal grounds!"

"Like you've been doing this whole duel? If that's what you call equal, then no thanks." Izumi let out a deep breath, "Pristine Creation Ritual Dragon! Attack Z-ARC and end this. When the Ritual Dragon battles, the rampaging volcanoes of this world grant it an additional five-hundred attack points. End this now with Roaring Silence!"

Pristine Creation Ritual Dragon: 4850 ATK - 5300 ATK

As the dragon heard the instruction, it took off into the sky, Centaurilla, Kenji and Gonezu, along with Bloom Diva, Mozarta, Assembled Nightingale, Recital Starling, Sabre and Liger Dancers and Winter Bell all cheered it on as the five girls also raised their wrists where their bracelets sat, the gems pulsing with light. Acting on words that came to their heads, they all shouted, "By the elements of nature itself, its Birds, Winds, Flowers, the Moon, we banish the Demon Duelist Z-ARC, and by the element of humanity, the element of Memory… We free your souls, Zarc, Ren, Yuya, Yuto, Yugo and Yuri." When they finished chanting, the dragon, now about a hundred meters above ground, opened its mouth and a black pulse of energy built up. Unleashing it, Z-ARC was immediately swallowed up, and both halves let out one last cry,

"THIS CAN'T BE!" The demon screamed,

"Thank you, thank you all." The duelist whispered.

Z-ARC: 2800 LP - 0 LP

And there we have it. Z-ARC has been defeated. I hope you all enjoyed this monstrous duel, in all its eight part, 39 turn and 17 thousand word glory. Izumi finally makes a return to the dueling stage, using her cards to finally unseat the Supreme King. She also revealed the sixth and final member of the Dimension Dragons, Pristine Creation Ritual Dragon. This card was teased back in Chapter 24 when Leo is talking to the Doktor, and in Chapter 25, its name was obscured in the 'Custom Cards' section for Blessing of the Woods.

As with last time, all 'Four Seasons' cards were created in conjunction with my lovely reviewer, Aquatic Dragoness, who also allowed me to use Izumi as she was their creation, first talking about her in Chapter 14, which was just under a year ago. Thank you so much for allowing me to write and characterise Izumi and her deck, Aqua!

Review Time!

Koro-Sensei400: Thank you for reviewing, and to answer your question, I do have a few archetypes that I like, such as Traptrix, Tearlaments, Purrely and Code Talkers. However, I do have a bit of a dislike for Branded and Despia, as well as Kashtira.

Takitake56: Thank you for reviewing, but your question I unfortunately cannot answer, due to it not making sense. Sorry.

Koji Wada: Thank you for reviewing! I assume you mean Card Fight Vanguard? I have heard of it, but I have not looked into it.

BlaiseCandell: Thank you as well for reviewing. It is true that Izumi is probably the most stable and sane of the main cast, and I do quite like her as well. I do think part of that reason is that she had to deal with semi-Z-ARC Ren for like five years, and she is also like one of three adults in the major cast. And with Tiger Dancer, as well as Liger Dancer for that matter, I was looking at what Lunalights could, or rather could not, handle and saw that mass removal seemed to be an issue, so I created them to fix that!

Aqua: Well, if the last one got you two more buckets, I can't imagine how much this one would bring! It's so nice to hear that you're loving this duel, and I really hope that this chapter didn't disappoint! As I said up above, thank you again for allowing me to bring Izumi and her deck to life!

Now, to quell any worries, there are still about six chapters left in this fic. All of them will be epilogues focusing on one dimension at a time with the additional duo getting one as well. You may ask, 'But there are only five!', but worry not as that last one will be setting up the sequel, which, idk if I said this already, but it'll be called Pendulum of Circuits and will go up a currently unknown amount of time after the final chapter of this fic.

In the meantime, I would like to thank (but also advertise about) all of you who have checked out my other work, Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-GAME! Furthermore, this chapter marks chapter 50 of content, 52 overall, and I couldn't be more proud of how such a milestone was celebrated.

I'll see you all next week for the first of the epilogues! - NightWingBOI
