A/N: Sorry this chapter took a while, usual thing called life sometimes gets busy, I should be able to get another chapter out before Christmas before I have to revise for exams for January. I appreciate the attention, follows, favourite and reviews I've been getting, helps motivate me to sit down and get some writing done.

SORRY BUT FFN IS DOING WEIRD SHIT AND REFORMATTING THIS CHAPTER SO THERE ARE MASSIVE BREAKS BETWEEN SENTENCES, NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX IT.

Dustiniz117: Yeah that would have been interesting however they are easing protection so it won't happen for a while. Harry will indeed be meeting with the 05 Council, something I look forward to writing as it is a very significant part of this fic. Thanks for the review!!!

FastMohammed400: There will certainly be a fair few more MTF units that will appear, as well as another one of my own idea. Thanks for the review!!!

H Bregalad: Probably, but considering the giants wanted to join with Voldemort and Hagrid is only a half giant then probably not as much as you would think, and his life was saved from the giants in chapter 6 anyway. Thanks for the review!!!

Now with that out of the way, onto chapter 29!!!

*

The day of Dumbledore's funeral came by quickly, Harry had dressed himself in a pair of smart black robes with the Hogwarts crest on the front, it was a sad day for all of the students, professors and other people that Dumbledore had played an important role in their lives.

All lessons were suspended, all examinations postponed. Some students

were hurried away from Hogwarts by their parents over the next couple of

days - the Patil twins were gone before breakfast on the morning following

Dumbledore's death and Zacharias Smith was escorted from the castle by his haughty-looking father. Seamus Finnigan, on the other hand, refused point-blank to accompany his mother home; they had a shouting match in the

Entrance Hall which was resolved when she agreed that he could remain

behind for the funeral. She had difficulty in finding a bed in Hogsmeade,

Seamus told Harry and Ron, that wizards and witches were pouring into the village, preparing to pay their last respects to Durnbledore.

Some excitement was caused among the younger students, who had never

seen it before, when a powder-blue carriage the size of a house, pulled by a

dozen giant winged palo-minos, came soaring out of the sky in the late

afternoon before the funeral and landed on the edge of the Forest. Harry

watched from a window as a gigantic and handsome olive-skinned, black-

haired woman descended the carriage steps and threw herself into the

waiting Hagrid's arms. Meanwhile a delegation of Ministry officials,

including the Minister for Magic himself, was being accommodated within the castle. Harry was diligently avoiding contact with any of them; he

was sure that, sooner or later, he would be asked again to account for

Dumbledore's last excursion from Hogwarts.

Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny were spending all of their time together.

The beautiful weather seemed to mock them; Harry could imagine how it

would have been if Durnbledore had not died, and they had had this time

together at the very end of the year, Ginny's examinations finished, the

pressure of homework lifted, giving them a chance to spend a bit more time together despite the somber era they were heading for.

They visited the hospital wing twice a day: Neville had been discharged,

but Bill remained under Madam Pomfrey's care. His scars were as bad as

ever; in truth, he now bore a distinct resemblance to Mad-Eye Moody,

though thankfully with both eyes and legs, but in personality he seemed jusi

the same as ever. All that appeared to have changed was that he now had a

great liking for very rare steaks.

"so eet ees lucky 'e is marrying me," said Fleur happily, plumping up

Bill's pillows, "because ze British overcook their meat, I 'ave always said

this."

"I suppose I'm just going to have to accept that he really is going to marry

her," sighed Ginny later that evening, as she, Harry, Ron and Hermione sat

beside the open window of the Gryffindor common room, looking out over the twilight grounds,

"She's not that bad," said Harry. 'Ugly, though,' he added hastily, as Ginny

raised her eyebrows, and she let out a reluctant giggle. "Well, I suppose if Mum can stand it, I can."

"Anyone else we know died?' Ron asked Hermione, who was perusing the Evening Prophet.

Hermione winced at the forced toughness in his voice.

'No,' she said reprovingly, folding up ihe newspaper. "They're still looking for Snape, but no sign."

"Of course there isn't," said Harry, who became angry every time the subject cropped up. They won't find Snape till they find Voldemort, and seeing as they've never managed to do that in all this time."

"I'm going to go to bed,' yawned Ginny. "I haven't been sleeping that well

since ... well ... I could do with some sleep."

She kissed Harry, which caused Ron to look away pointedly, waved at the other two and departed for the girls' dormitories.

*

"Gryffindors if you would follow me please." Said Professor McGonagall as she strode to the entrance of the great hall as the Gryffindor students followed her to the ceremony that would take place for Dumbledore.

They filed out from behind their benches in near silence. Harry glimpsed Slughorn at the head of the Slytherin column, wearing magnificent long emerald-green robes embroidered with silver. He had never seen Professor

Sprout, Head of the Hufflepuffs, looking so clean; there was not a single

patch on her hat, and when they reached the Entrance Hall, they found

Madam Pince standing beside Filch, she in a thick black veil that fell to her

knees, he in an ancient black suit and tie reek-ing of mothbails.

They were heading, as Harry saw when he stepped out on to the stone steps from the front doors, towards the lake. The warmth of the sun caressed

his face as they followed Professor McGonagall in silence to the place where hundreds of chairs had been set out in rows. An aisle ran down the centre of them: there was a marble table standing at the front, all chairs facing it. It was the most beautiful summer's day.

An extraordinary assortment of people had already settled into half of the

chairs: shabby and smart, old and young. Most Harry did not recognise, but there were a few that he did, including members of the Order of the Phoenix:

Kingsley Shacklebolt, Mad-Eye Moody, Tonks, her hair miraculously returned to vividest pink, Remus Lupin, with whom she seemed to be holding hands, Mr and Mrs Weasley, Bill sup-ported by Fleur and followed

by Fred and George, who were wearing jackets of black dragonskin. Then

there was Madame Maxime, who took up two-and-a-half chairs on her own.

Tom, the landlord of the Leaky Cauldron, Arabella Figg, Harry's Squib

neighbour, the hairy bass player from the wizarding group the Weird sisters, Ernie Prang, driver of the Knight Bus,

Madam Malkin, of the robe shop in Diagon Alley, and some people whom

Harry merely knew by sight, such as the barman of the Hog's Head and the

witch who pushed the trolley on the Hogwarts Express. The castle ghosts

were there too, barely visible in the bright sunlight, discernible only when

they moved, shimmering insubstantially in the gleaming air.

Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny filed into seats at the end of a row

beside the lake. People were whispering to each other; it sounded like a breeze in the grass, but the birdsong was louder by far. The crowd continued

to swell; with a great rush of affection for both of them, Harry saw Neville

being helped into a seat by Luna. They alone of all the DA had responded to

Hermione's summons the night that Dumbledore had died, and Harry knew

why: they were the ones who had missed the DA most ... probably the ones who had checked their coins regularly in the hope that there would be another meeting.

Harry also noted that the foundation guards were stood towards the back in rows, all wearing muggle military uniforms for occasions like these he assumed.

His thoughts were interrupted by the singing of the merpeople as they came to pay their respects, Harry had never truly grasped just how influential and important Dumbledore had been in people's lives, he had temporarily forgotten his dislike of the ministry and the many high ranking officials that had turned up for Dumbledore's funeral.

Everyone quietened down as Hagrid began to walk down the aisle, in his arms was a purple velvety cape adorned with golden stars on it, Harry felt his eyes go misty, filles with tears as he laid eyes on what was Dumbledore's body.

Hagrid's eyes were swollen with tears as he placed the headmaster on the impressive white marble tomb, he turned to see Ron looking pale from shock, whilst Hermione had tears falling into her lap, Ginny also looked like she was on the verge of tears, a few ran down her cheek.

A small, tufty old man made his way too the front and began delivering a speech with words such as "nobility of spirit." And "greatness of heart."

These were words not of Dumbledore's in Harry's mind. "Nitwit, Oddment, Blubber and Tweak." Were words that came to mind for Harry and it gave him a moment of happiness, before it all came crashing down.

Dumbledore was dead, and he wasn't coming back.

He felt a hand grip his own and he gave Ginny a small, tight smile of gratitude as he turned back to the ceremony.

The merpeople had stopped there singing as the small man retreated down the aisle, the tomb suddenly set ablaze and there was a loud gasp as several arrows rained down from the sky from the centaur pack, they landed just shy of the crowd.

Harry was overcome with emotions as he thought about the people who had died because of him, his parents and now Dumbledore, and the other countless lives that had been lost this year with Voldemort's return.

He felt Ginny's hand still on his own and she gave him a supportive hug. Harry wanted to say to Ginny that he should stop seeing her to protect her, but he remembered the implied threat earlier.

"I'm not leaving you Harry," said Ginny quietly. "I'm always going to be there for you, no matter what."

Eventually the audience began to disperse as many people began chatting with long lost friends or people they knew, Harry knew more than ever that this is what Dumbledore would have wanted.

He saw Scrimgeour come over to him and he braced himself for what the minister wanted from him.

"Harry!" He began. "I was hoping to have a word with you, would you join me for a walk perhaps?"

"No." Said Harry indifferently. He turned to Ginny and they were about to set off again before Scrimgeour set off.

"I know this was a dreadful tragedy, believe me I may have had disagreements but no one know better than I-" He began.

"Just ask Harry what you came here for instead of the usual crap you are giving him?" Said Ginny, abruptly cutting off the minister of magic.

"I know you Harry," said Scrimgeour, his eyes having a stern look towards him. "You were with Dumbledore the night you took off from the school."

Ginny noticed Harry tense up, he would never tell Scrimgeour anything but she wanted to see what interaction they would have.

"Well minister," said Harry. "Whatever I was doing with Dumbledore remains a secret and none of your business."

"Such loyalty is remarkable of course." Ssid Scrimgeour. "But Dumbledore is gone Harry."

"I know that," said Harry. "But he will not be gone from this school until those that are loyal to him are gone too."

"People don't return from the dead." Remarked Scrimgeour.

"I'm not saying he will, but your fact is clearly wrong, judging by Voldemort's current state," Harry began, the minister shivered at the dark lords name. "But I've got nothing to tell you."

"I could provide you with a few aurors perhaps." Proposed Scrimgeour in a delicate tone.

"Voldemort has tried to kill me himself, the only two I've seen take Voldemort head on and win are either laying in a tomb dead or have mysteriously gone missing." Spat Harry. "I'll take my chances thanks."

"And what of the request I made to you at Christmas?" Scrimgeour asked.

"That," said Harry almost amused at the minister. "You already know what I'm going to say."

"I think you'll find Harry," began Scrimgeour. "That you cannot fight this war on your own."

"No I can't," he said. "But I have my friends and family who will do far better job than the ministry ever have, if you want my respect and me to support you as a governing body, then you better get your act together, good day minister." Harry pulled Ginny by the hand and they walked away from the minister as they joined Ron and Hermione, who were stood with some of the DA members, including Neville and Luna.

"I still can't believe he's gone." Said Hermione as Ron pulled her into a tight hug.

They stayed as a group for a little while during the funeral, Harry noticed a man approaching him, however he wasn't annoyed when he found it to be Prfoessor Henry Jackson from the SCP Foundation.

"Harry," he said holding out a hand to shake his hand, Harry took it. "I'm sorry for the loss you have suffered, I know Dumbledore was a great man."

"I appreciate it," he replied, Harry glanced at the SCP foundation guards before turning back to Professor Jackson. "What's going to happen with the SCP foundation and Hogwarts now."

"Well actually I was going to come here to tell you something that's come up related to that." He said. "I know you aren't a fan of speaking with high ranking officials judging by your earlier conversation."

"Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of governing bodies that sit on there arse." Said Harry, earning a light chuckle from his group.

"Could I pull you away from your friends for a few seconds, it's rather confidential what I'm telling you?" Asked Professor Jackson.

"Ok, but not for long." Said Harry reluctantly.

They walked away from his group and Harry offered them a reassuring smile. Professor Jackson led him over to the side where he could ask him a question Harry was caught off guard by.

"So Harry," he said seriously. "How would you feel about meeting the 05 Council this summer?"

*

"What did Professor Jackson ask you yesterday?" Said Ginny, the duvet covering her as she snuggled into Harry's side.

"I'm not allowed to tell you, but I did accept his offer, its nothing bad don't worry about." He added when Ginny gave him the raised eyebrow treatment.

"You aren't coming back here next year, are you?" Asked Ginny after a moments silence.

Harry sighed as Ginny gave him her signature blazing look, he found he could never truly lie to her, but what Professor Jackson told him at Dumbledore's funeral was something he had to keep hidden from everyone.

"I'm sorry Gin," sighed Harry. "I can't tell you, I don't think I will be returning here next year but I can't tell you what Professor Jackson told me."

It hurt him more than anything to not tell Ginny, the person who was closest to him, his greatest source of comfort, the woman he loved. But Harry didn't want to put her in any more danger, he may not be able to end there relationship to protect her, but the very least he could do was try and keep her in the dark.

He changed quickly and left a somewhat startled Ginny, he needed to find Ron and Hermione and tell them about what he and Dumbledore had been doing that night and what there plans were for the summer.

"I'm not coming back this year?" Said Harry as they spoke in the room of requirement.

"We are coming with you." Interrupted Ron, Hermione nodded as she grabbed Ron's hand, agreeing with him. "Whatever you are doing, be it Dumbledore's wishes, Hermione and I are with you."

"I appreciate your support," said Harry with a beaming smile.

"What about Ginny?" Asked Hermione. "Is she coming too?"

Harry shook his head. "Ginny refused to let me even suggest ending things for her safety, and I completely understand her, but I want her where she will be safe, it's too risky telling too many people, not to mention the trace still being active."

"She's not going to like it Harry," began Ron. "She'll hex you to pieces if you leave her next year and don't come back."

"I know," said Harry and Ron felt for bad for his best mate, his eyes were full of sadness and Ron knew it was pulling Harry apart keeping her in the dark for her safety.

"Anyways," said Harry, trying to move the subject to something different. "I've got a couple of things, Dumbledore and I went to find one of Voldemort's horcruxes, however it was a fake."

He pulled out a golden locket and opened it, revealing the note, Ron and Hermione read it but they had no idea who R.A.B was, neither of them had ever seen or recognised the initials from somewhere.

"Either way, we don't have the real locket." Said Harry frustratedly.

"I assume that's what we are going to be looking for," said Ron. "Voldemort's horcruxes?"

"Yeah, Dumbledore and I have already taken out two of them, the diary that possessed Ginny and the Gaunt family ring." Explained Harry. Ron and Hermione paled slightly realising Ginny had actually been possessed by part of Voldemort's soul. "We thought Voldemort probably chose to make items that held some form magical heritage to him, such as the ring and locket being family possessions, possibly the Hufflepuff cup and Ravenclaws diadem."

"Ravenclaws diadem has been lost for a long time Harry." Remarked Hermione.

"I know," said Harry. "But if I am to kill him, we need to make sure Voldemort is mortal."

Ron and Hermione understood the gravity of the situation, Voldemort was immortal until Harry finished what Dumbledore started, with that said they dropped the tone of conversation as Neville came into the dorm.

"So, you coming over for Bill and Fleur's wedding this summer?" Asked Ron.

"I'm staying over at yours anyway," Said Harry with a grin. "I didn't realise they were getting married so soon."

"Bill and Fleur both agreed that considering we about to head into a war, that there should be something to celebrate beforehand." Said Ron.

"Are they forgoing a honeymoon?" Asked Hermione incredulously.

"Yeah I would assume so." Answered Ron.

The Three of them noticed the time and decided to make their way down from the seventh floor to the ground floor to the great hall, there would be one last leaving feast before they would be leaving via the Hogwarts express.

Harry spotted Ginny at the Gryffindor table with Neville, Luna and a couple of her friends, she gave him a small smile that he returned but Harry could feel the concern and confusion coming off her.

He sat down opposite her and Ginny raised an eyebrow at his somewhat distant behaviour, there was only a small filter of idle chatter in the great hall as Harry managed a small meal, he could feel Ginny's gaze on him.

Harry gave her another small smile and she mouthed "Are you okay?"

Harry just nodded and he felt Ginny's foot rest against his leg, it felt nice and Harry swore she smirked playfully as her foot made its why higher up the inside of his thigh.

Ginny simply winked at him and carried on with a conversation with one of her friends as her foot teased him. Harry was trying to act discreet considering Ginny was turning him on right now.

"Come on Ginny," said one of her friends. "We've got to get the last of our packing done."

Ginny removed her foot from Harry's crotch and Harry bit back the temptation to groan in disappointment as he was left hanging, Ginny gave him an innocent smiled as she hurriedly left the great hall with her friends.

*

Harry made his way down to Hogsmeade Station, Ron and Hermione were behind slightly as they finished up there packing, Harry wanted some time to himself for a while at least. Mostly so he could let it sink in the massive burden now hanging on his shoulders, he was the only way that Voldemort could be defeated, it was either kill or be killed.

Without Dumbledore, Harry as fairly certain in his judgement that without the presence of the greatest headmaster of Hogwarts in his own and many other peoples opinion, that Voldemort would very soon regain control of the castle at some point, going into hiding was something Harry was prepared for, he just hoped the muggleborns were as well.

He was interrupted as he made his way to the station by a small hand grabbing him by the front of his robs from his right hand side and he was dragged into a small alcove, he registered a mane of flaming red hair as he whipped out his wand quicker than one could blink.

He relaxed when it was the concerned gaze from his girlfriend that he was receiving as he lowered his wand.

"Don't think I haven't noticed how you've been acting?" Said Ginny in a rather pissed of tone, interrupting him before he could even say "Hi."

"I'm trying to keep you safe Gin-" said Harry, but was cut off by his fiery tempered partner.

"Don't give me that bullshit Potter!" Ginny growled. "Distancing yourself from me won't change a thing, I'm already in danger being both a Weasley and a blood traitor, not too mention I fought by your side many times."

"You don't understand Gin!" Harry practically spat in her face. "I've lost everyone I love to Voldemort, anybody that has ever cared about me or truly mattered to me is dead, my parents being a prime example."

"That's not true and you know it," siad Ginny. "Voldemort is always going to target those closest to you I know that, but shoving those who love you away in the name of protecting them does little to nothing, by doing so you aren't allowing yourself to at least have a normal semblance of life."

She stepped closer to him. "Tom likely knows my significance about the diary anyway, as well as being one of the closest to you, I know that there is a chance if I come back, that I could be in serious danger."

"Which is why you should stay away from me." Said Harry as he turned to leave but was pulled roughly by the arm from Ginny back to the spot he was just stood.

"Why in your stupid, noble brain of yours do you think that ditching me will somehow keep me sheltered from a war that has already started?!" She shouted at him angrily, her face turning a shade of red similar to her hair and her chocolate brown eyes held a fire to them that Harry found incredibly intimidating. "I'm not some little girl you know, why do you feel like you have to do this, why-"

Ginny qas cut off by Harry grabbing her by the shoulders. "BECAUSE I CANT BEAR THE THOUGHT OF LOSING YOU!!"

Ginny was caught off guard as Harry felt himself tearing up as he loosened his grip, resting his forehead on hers. "Because Gin, you are my Anchor. You keep me grounded, if I lost you, I wouldn't know what to do with myself."

Ginny was still left speechless as Harry cupped her cheeks in his hands and planted a gentle kiss to her forehead. "I'm not going anywhere Harry James Potter, I'm in this fight with you, whether you like it or not."

They kissed again as Harry wrapped his arm around her slender waist as there bodies pressed against each other.

"I love you." They both said in unison.

"Promise me you'll take me with you on your mission." Said Ginny.

Harry paused for a moment, that was something Dumbledore had always said about life, he should enjoy it to its fullest and cherish every moment.

As he was about to speak, a loud explosion went off behind Ginny as he shielded his eyes.

"Take cover!!!" Somebody shouted as Harry heard spellfire going off, he felt Ginny close to him as he shielded her from the blast.

"Are you alright?" Asked Ginny hurriedly as she got up and pulled out her wand.

"Yeah I'm fine, we need to get out of here." Said Harry.

Several death eaters had ambushed the station, the aurors were caught off guard and by the time any resistance was formed, many aurors had been taken out. Several foundation troops moved in, firing there assault rifles ast the death eaters as more of them arrived.

Harry very quickly found himself duelling a death eater that he didn't recognise, he proved a tricky opponent but Harry was able to hit him with a blasting hex that sent the death eaters flying into a wall with a loud crack as his back connected with the concrete wall as he slumped to the floor, unmoving.

Many students were being moved away by teachers, aurors and foundation troops as one particularly larger soldier with a much larger machine gun rained hell down upon the death eaters, several of them were shredded as the heavy machine gun tore into them from above.

Despite the clear advantage the foundation soldiers and the aurors had, the death eaters seemed to keep on coming via portkey or apparition, and no anti apparition or portkey wards seemed to stop them. By now the death eaters were starting to be joined by several dangerous anomalies.

Harry found himself backing away from an instance of SCP-939 as it took off after him, though it didn't get far before a blue light streamed over Harry and connected with the anomaly, it passed through the instance of SCP-939 and incinerated its flesh.

The anomaly slumped to the ground dead, its charred remains giving off a foul odor as Harry found where the source had come from.

A group of around ten soldiers had entered the fray, Harry hadn't seen ones like them before, the only details he registered where the foundation insignia on there helmets and the large powerful rifle they held as it let off another blast at a death eater, which was nearly obliterated say for bits of charred flesh that remained.

These soldiers seemed to strike fear into the death eaters as he sound of what Harry guessed was a laser fired off from the each of the soldiers weapons simultaneously.

"Harry!" He heard a familiar voice shout, he turned to see Ginny, Ron and Hermione running towards him.

"We need to get back to the castle!" He ordered as there was another loud explosion near them.

The four practically legged it as fast as they could as the foundation soldiers took on Voldemort's death eaters and his anomalies.

They made it to the gates where students were being evacuated via portkey to platform nine and three quarters.

"Potter! Over here!" Came the brusque Scottish tone of Professor McGonagall as the four made there way over. "Take this portkey."

They grabbed the boot that had the protekey charm and all four of them were whisked away to platform nine and three quarters.

*

"Sutdents have been evacuated, Retreat!" Ordered the commander as the soldiers backed off from the death eaters.

Voldemort appeared at the station and sent a wide blasting hex at a group of soldiers, taking them out immediately as the rest of the soldiers backed away, keeping their weapons trained and firing at any death eaters that dared to take them out.

It was impossible for the foundstion to maintain control of Hogwarts considering Voldemort's element of surprise attack as well as there greater number of forces.

By the time the fight was fully over, Voldemort had control of Hogwarts, the students had been safely evacuated as well as all the other civilian personnel.

"Secure Hogwarts." Ordered Voldemort as he himself made his way to the headmasters office that was once Dumbledore's.

*

Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione landed at platform nine and three quarters in Kings Cross. Having taken an emergency portkey from Hogwarts, Ron spotted the rest of the Weasley's as they rushed over.

"What happened?!" Asked Molly frantically as she pulled Ron into hug.

"Hogwarts was attacked by Voldemort." Explained Harry.

"That isn't good." Said Arthur.

"No its isn't," said Harry. "Is everyone here okay?"

"Yes we are fine Harry," Answered Arthur. "We were informed by some of the Order members that students would be arriving by emergency portkey instead but they didn't have time to explain why."

"We should get home," Said Molly. "Hermione you are coming home with us, your parents are okay with it."

Hermione nodded as Molly turned to Harry. "Sirius was caught up with some order related missions but he will be at the Burrow this evening."

Harry, Hermione and the rest of the Weasley's made there way through the barrier back into muggle London before side along apparating to the Burrow. Times were turning dark for them now, since SCP-1853s dissapearence Voldemort had felt it was clear to show his might as he had done with attacking Hogwarts on the day the train would have left. What Harry didn't know was that thing aware going to get much worse for them all.

A/N: This officially marks the end of the half-blood Prince segment of this fic, up next is the deathly hallows, there will be lots of twists and divergences from what you all know and we will delve into where SCP-1853 has dissapeared to in a later chapter, as well as someone joining him there (can you guess who?)

Hope you enjoyed
